What I find funniest about The Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast is that the story is French, but it has one or two characters with a strong French accent like Lumiere and Madame Giry.

Why is it that when people talk about Disney's live action remakes, they often only talk about Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid?

But it indeed weirds me out when modern media insists on substituting a happy ending with “but they kissed”.

As in, “they barely shared 3 minutes of screen time while supposedly being in love – or, at least, in relationship – with someone else,

and each of them has a closetful of skeletons the other won’t approve of,

in fact, if you think about it just for a minute, you'll see their goals, values and lifestyles are totally incompatible –
