Like, all it took for a male Shen Yuan to start acting like the world's biggest babygirl was dying and being reborn into a villain's body, what do you think would happen if he was a closeted lesbian who religiously consumed either porn or male centric media? She'd commit war crimes on the poor women who had the luck of interacting with her. This woman would squeeze Liu Qingge's biceps and playfully say she can always depend on her strong shimei to protect her, she'd U-haul a marriageble age Luo Binghe into her side room and treat her as one would a wife, she'd host her sect leader to talk about her peak's budget wearing exactly two layers because it's just so hot and we're all women here shijie, she'd invite Gongyi Xiao to her peak with a smile and too much subtext for it to sound like a simple discipline invite to anyone hearing it, she'd call Zhuzi-lang fascinating to her face with no type of irony or mockery. Originally I just wanted to find more pictures of it for reference, and then went down a rabbit hole of 2012 pictures, trying to figure out when exactly the chair came to be. There's so many pictures of him in it, and it's so funny to me to imagine them hauling this super villain chair all around the world for him. And so now I'm obsessed with the evolution of it:

He just had this little stool, well I should say big because it somehow still manages makes him look small. Clearly not comfortable; to paraphrase @sweatyflytrap, it's not conducive to his inner Shakespeare villain monologues

He suddenly now has this, aforementioned, super villain chair. Several things, why is it like this. It looks like a sim chair almost ngl. And then the weird plexiglass support is confusing me, like where did they get that. It furthers my narrative they just had this chair that they couldn't put in a car so they put that clear bottom on it. Anyways yes good, now he has somewhere to brood

i saw an article the other day that had the headline along the lines of 'baldur's gate 3 fans are sad to hear that you there is no lord gortash romance plot' and i'm usually a very open-minded person but... maybe i will second guess the bg3 fans in question...

i was geniunely scared of him when i first had a conversation with him in act 3... he's a creepy, slimey, horrible, disgusting man and yes i know he's fictional but his whole presence just made me nervous, sick even. i can't see why anyone would like him let alone want to romance him...

he's a fantastic villain yes. his actor (idk who he is sorry - please tell me!!) did a wonderful performance, the way that he's written and the story-telling is insanely good but it's because of that excellent performance from the devs, the actor and writers that it just feels too real...

of course, if you're doing an evil playthrough then it makes sense to be nice to him and whatnot but do you really have to romance him too? :/ there was a reason why the game didn't come out with a gortash romance and there's a reason why the devs still aren't putting one in, maybe think about the reasons behind that other than "but he's hot" or something??

I actually disagree with the idea that IDW1 villainized the Decepticons and I'm genuinely not sure where people got this from. Especially when they claim "the Autobots get to be treated as heroes always" when if you read a shred of exRID you know that they are literally not.

There are so many Cons that are treated as people and humanized, especially if you recognize that even some of the pure evil/antagonistic Decepticons still got written as having trauma, being wronged by other characters, having emotions, etc etc.

Decepticons that get to be protagonists/heroes/good guys: Soundwave, Thundercracker, MEGATRON, Barricade, Grimlock and Drift (ex-Decepticons if you count them), Soundwave's cassettes...

Decepticons that are antagonists/villains but still get treated like people, have sad moments, or sometimes do good things with the bad: STARSCREAM, the Scavengers, Tarn, Deathsaurus, Nickel, Shockwave, Ravage...

And I know for sure that I'm probably missing at least half a dozen others. And I didn't even get into the categories of neutrals who are evil, Autobots who are evil, or the entire Senate and Functionist Council who are enemies of the Decepticons but very clearly depicted as evil.

TLDR:

"Autobots don't get criticized--" Not true, read exRID

"Decepticons are always villainized and don't get to be heroic--" Not true, read exRID and also reread MTMTE

As a flaming asexual, I'm probably the wrong person to ask about this...or the right person, because to me, nobody is as hot as everyone else seems to think except maybe figuratively? I'm bad at distinguishing whether attractiveness is being spoken of "seriously" or .... theoretically?...or as a joke, or...yeah, I honestly don't know. Characters whose personalities I especially like immediately become adorable to me (if that makes sense) so I get cute aggression every time I see my favorite little guys.
