When the lamb kneels before Narinder he breaks all of their bones, right? Well in this universe he wanted to keep them by his side tho bc he's come to care about and value them. But for whatever reason he can't fix their broken body, but was able to save their soul and keep it sealed safely. As he was taking back the lands of the old faith under his rule, he also sought out different ways to get a body for this lost soul he kept close. Eventually his eye fell on a pretty realistic looking porcellain doll and so he set himself on the idea.

It took over a hundred years to create a body realistic and stable enough to hold a soul. But finally, after all these years, the lamb opened their eyes again.

He is made up almost entirely of fleece, all hand-sewn. His shirt and some of his eyes are felt (also the scar on his foot). He's stuffed with polyfill . He's weighed down with lentils 😭 His pattern is made custom by me :) I'm not sure exactly how long he took, but I'd guess some amount of months. Maybe 2, but maybe only a few weeks of collective actual work days

He does also have a dog toy type squeaker in him

ok very excited. I think I can fit both astronomy and neuroscience&physiology into my master's as the minor subject studies. I might get tf out of astronomy like a week into it, bc I suck at physics & now it's been like 5 years since I've done anything physics-related and I don't remember the math-side of it at all. But both of those I've at some point considered to major in, so I think I need to see the "what could have been"s etc.

Also there are some courses on bioinformatics that I wanna take that are a bit closer to the computer science stuff (aka my actual degree) that I'm very interested abt. Also "programming quantum computers"?? that sounds cool as fuck and I already know I'm going to regret it so much (shit sounds complicated & super time consuming) but alas, I'm gonna have to give it a try; sounds too cool not to.

Rn I have 4 too many courses for the degree, but I'm sure I'll drop more than enough once I actually get to some of them and realize that it actually sucks lol. Most likely expecting that to happen with the astronomy, idk how much ''ooh planets starts'' is gonna help when I'm neck deep in math again

Harpy mickrin AU yay! Sorta loosely set in Aatom87's harpy & zookeeper AU- Rin is a sooty owl and Mickbell is a cockatiel. You know how parrots are...

The zoo keeps them in the same enclosure out of lack of funds to try and fix behavioral issues. Rin was being too self-isolating and Mickbell was starting shit with other harpies and bonded with zookeeper Kuro instead, which is unhealthy, so they put them in a side enclosure to bond together and assigned Kabru to it instead. Thus they are forced to have enrichment together.

Kabru has it tough since they both act like they hate him, except one is only a tsundere act lol. Mickbell like "huh?? You stealing my cagemate punk?? Wanna fight??" and he's not even wrong lol. Tiny bird very angry very aggressive, cue Kabru getting scratched every day... Kabru leaving their enclosure after a whole showdown of cockatiel Mick screaming scratching biting inflicting him little wounds and then Mick goes right back to "I'm just a little guy"ing @ Rin. Keep going buddy i'm sure... one day...... you'll win her over and make her laugh. Or something.

Although hmmm Kabru hating monsters would mean he wouldn't work there in the first place. Maybe.... He's there undercover to investigate the zoos for corruption or animal-monster abuse or smth... And the injured Mithrun harpy is evidence that he has to take under his wing ba dum tss <- this is how my AUs get out of control

the nice thing about living at work being offline for chunks at a time is the people u used to really dislike seeing on the dash (by no one's fault, promise), it doesn't really bother you anymore when you see them pop up as recs or smth. like. neat. lol. it's nice! it's comforting. i feel like I've def moved on from things, its liberating.

don't get me wrong, beryl grace is a terrible mother, but i think there's something to be said for the effects the gods have on mortals - on their mortal lovers, especially. because the emotions are already so intense, and the stronger the god the stronger that force of emotion is. i'm not surprised that beryl stuck around as a mania -- imagine being loved by the king of the gods, the king of two powerful pantheons, and how special that makes you feel. imagine being approached by the queen of the gods -- the queen of two powerful pantheons -- and being told that you can appease her with a sacrifice. imagine the thrall, the way it feels like you live in constant sunlight or constant storms, just constant turbulence. everything is the best and worst it can be and then -- it's gone.
