2024 Leverage Rewatch: 1x8 The Bank Shot Job

Bank Security Guard Danny AU

So, the People of Gotham are extremely desensitized to Rouge Attacks at this point. It got to the point that whenever a person gets a job at the Bank, they have a whole 1 Hour Training Video on how to deal with a Rouge Attack right.

So, when they hire a New Security Guard from a lesser known Security Company, they don't even bother showing him the Training Video. They assume that he'll either Die or Drop them within a Week.

Danny, for the record, did not know how bad the Rouge problem truly was. All he knew was that some random guy in a Ski Mask had just walked into the bank like he owned the place and started showing off a Gun telling everybody to get on the ground.

Danny did the sensible thing and Knocked him the Fuck Out.

Then, the same thing happened the very next day, but this time it was an entire group of people. Danny had them dealt with before the first person had gotten to the floor.

Then the same thing happened the Same Day!

By the end of the week he had become a Legend among the Citizens of Gotham. There was only a single Bank in all of Gotham that had avoided being robbed for a Whole Week, and it was all because of this one Security Guard who was freakishly good at his Job.

By the end of the Month, most criminals don't even bother trying that Bank anymore. It got worse when he got loaned out as Security for another Bank, and the same thing happened again.

Eventually, he ends up rotating shifts in Every Bank in Gotham, and it becomes a Game for the Criminals to see if the Bank they try to Rob is the one Danny is in that night. And they can't even reasonably predict his next location, since he always moves around at Random!

No matter what Bank he is in, he always manages to beat the Crooks trying to Rob the Bank.

Then it gets weird. Due to a scheduling Mix Up, Danny ends up being scheduled for 2 different Banks on the same day, each across the city from the other.

One Bank reports that Danny stopped a gang from Robbing them at 6:00 PM, which really confuses the other Bank because Danny did the same thing in their Bank at the same time. Security Footage proves it, Danny was somehow in 2 places at once.

They decide not to confront him about it, but they do test a theory. They intentionally hire him at multiple different Banks at the same time for a week. He shows up to work every time without fail.

By now they have basically confirmed that he must be a Meta, but they don't really care anyways. Now he can protect multiple Banks at once with his usual perfect Efficiency, and he'll be payed accordingly as well. The Banks get protected well, and he gets payed Extreme Overtime by the Banks, everybody wins!

Well...except for the Crime Bosses of Gotham.

Before this, it was a Game for them to try and beat Danny. They didn't really care since a single Uber Competent Security Guard was still perfectly fine for business, sure they would fail a Job once in a while if they ran into him, but he could only be in 1 place at a time. It wasn't a Huge Loss.

But now it was too much. They needed to take care of him.

Assassination Attempts didn't work. He was just as competent Off the job as he was On it, so they could never get to him.

They tried attacking his Bosses, but then they hired themselves to protect...themselves. It was hard to kill his Bosses when he was constantly Bodyguarding all of them at once.

Attempts to get to him through his Family were...let's not talk about that...

It continued on like this for a while.

Go ahead and put your own spin on this Prompt! The basic idea is that Danny is using his Duplication Power to get to every shift on Time, and he is really annoying the Local Crime Bosses.

I love The Bank Shot Job because you've got this big bad boss that nobody can stand up to until a group of thieves get caught in the middle of a bank robbery (that they had nothing to do with for once). Then, all they had to do was say a few choice phrases in front of the witnesses and suddenly ALL the witnesses are saying the big bad boss was responsible for the robbery, and that takes care of that.

It's always nice to see the little people finally stand up for themselves to get rid of their corrupt leaders.

hi it’s dylan, i just found out from the manager at starbucks that i won’t get hired for another month (if at all). i’m trans and disabled so nowhere else wants to hire me & i’ve applied almost everywhere. it’s my birthday in 2 weeks so if i could be even slightly less stressed out that’d be great.

i’m 2k in credit card debt and i have $550 in bills upcoming next week. if 60 people could spare $10 then i’d have my bills for august covered and anything else would go towards groceries which ends up being around $150 a month.

since jj is always working outside jobs in the heat I feel like you would have to make him a lunch everyday before he goes. sometimes it could be leftovers from dinner last night or you could wake up early to make him a sandwich and fill it with all the snacks he likes. so currently, you are in the kitchen whipping up two sandwiches for jj in his oversized t-shirt, bonnet and fluffy slippers, moving from the fridge to the counter, your panties peeking from below every time you reach up for something. your boyfriend waking up from his slumber, scratches his neck, “g’morning babydoll, what you making f’me today?” reaching over to you and hugging you from behind, you smile and beam from the warmth of his chest. “good morning jayj! making you a scooby doo sandwich with chips and gatorade along with..” you ramble to him talking about all the snacks you stuffed his lunch box and he slides his hands up and down your curves, placing little kisses on your neck making you wince, “mmm jj you have to go to work!”

I think barry cares for you too much to let you stay at his trap house so he never lets you go over there cause it’s dangerous, meaning he bought a apartment when the two of you started dating or he stayed over with you sometimes. but currently he was staying over at your house sleeping next to you. he would wake up first and make you breakfast, so usually you wake up to the smell of bacon and eggs. getting up in your pajamas walking into the kitchen with sleep still in your eyes. barry turns around, and sees you, “good morning sleepy girl, I made you some breakfast before I leave so si’down.” you mumble a quiet “g’morning bear..” and do as your told taking a seat in the cold chair to wait for your boyfriend to give you some food. you two talk for a while about the plans for today and you finish your breakfast. “I gotta leave now princess, some people waiting for me to show up but give me a hug before I go mama.” you smile and run up to him, melting in his touch, you look up at him from his chest giving him a peck. “please be safe bear..I love you and call me!”

-Do not resell or use my artwork for NFTS and AI training. Anything else you’d like to do with the finished work is alright, such as reposting, coloring (if applicable.) making physical copies (creating prints/charms/etc) through manufacturing companies is fine as long as it’s for personal use.

Good morning 🙏🏼

I want to thank everyone their support with reblogging my stuff over the years and reblogging some of the context of the situation.

Tumblr and Instagram is filled with the most supportive people I’ve ever had the chance of meeting. The last time something like this happened, I didn’t have much support, not even from people I thought were close to me. It took me a year or two to be okay with being perceived again in fandoms. So I’m very grateful for everything.

I just wanted to post that I appreciate all of the asks and I’ve been reading all of them. I actually get anxious I’m spamming everyone too much so I probably won’t reply to everything. Please don’t feel pressured to support me financially, there’s is a free option on patreon to follow.
