Short-Term vs. Long-Term Fixed Deposit
When it comes to financial planning, choosing the right investment option can make a big difference in achieving your financial goals. For these reasons, fixed deposits are the popular choice. You know what? You can watch your money grow steadily with predictable returns from your fixed deposit. They come with short-term and long-term options. But what are the advantages and which one should you choose? Instead of confusing yourself, continue to read this article to find out.
What are Short-Term and Long-Term FD?
Short-term deposits are investment accounts requiring a minimum investment of 7 days up to a maximum of 2 years. They allow you to deposit a specific amount of money for a short duration, enabling it to grow over time.
Long-term deposits are the type of investment where you can deposit your money for an extended duration ranging from 5 to 10 years.
Short Term vs. Long-Term FDs
Investing your money is about choosing the financial instrument and determining the duration you invest your funds. Short-term deposits offer minimal interest amounts compared to long-term fixed deposits.
However, they provide more flexibility and liquidity, which allows you to access your funds whenever needed. In the same way, long-term fixed deposits also offer higher liquidity and more gainful returns.
Advantages of Short-Term FD
Below are the most important advantages of short-term fixed deposits.
Liquidity
Because of the higher liquidity, short-term deposits will be the best choice for accessing your funds shortly. You can also break your short-term FD account without getting any severe penalties. This makes it an ideal choice for dealing with unexpected financial needs. You can easily check balance to monitor your investments.
Lowered Interest Rate Risk
With the short-term fixed deposits, you are less exposed to the interest fluctuations. If interest rates decline, your investments will not be locked for an external period. This allows you to reinvest with higher interest rates when the market grows.
Interest Rate Adaptability
They provide the benefit of being able to change your interest rates. If there are any rises in the interest rates, you can reinvest your funds in a new and higher interest rate after the maturity of your short-term fixed deposits.
Advantages of Long-Term FD
While short-term FDs have their own benefits, long-term benefits have more advantages.
Consistency and Predictability
Long-term FDs offer a consistent and predictable source of interest rates. You can benefit from this predictability if you search for a regular income stream or plan for a long-term financial goal.
Increasing Growth
The long-term FD allows your money to grow with the help of compounding. The interest amount you have earned from this is reinvested in your cash and increases growth over the period.
Increased Interest Rates
Compared to short-term FDs, long-term FDs offer higher interest rates. Thus resulting in higher interest rates over the period. This increase in interest rate helps you to grow your money effectively.
Wrapping It Up
Ultimately, the choice between long-term and short-term FDs varies depending on your needs and preferences. Short-term FD will be helpful for you if you need flexibility and access to your money in a short period. You can alsocheck transaction history to manage and review your investments. Long-term FDs will suit you if you want to grow your wealth over time, are looking for a steady income, or are planning your retirement. Choose wisely and enjoy the utmost benefit of FD it offers.

Recent Trends in the Banking Sector
People can earn money in many ways, but managing the money is the most important thing. Nowadays, banks play an essential role in money management. We are living in a digital world. So, every quick money transfer is easily handled through digital transactions. Previously, you had to visit a bank directly to open an account and for every banking need. But now, the banking trends have been developed, and everything is digitalized, so there is no need to visit a bank for every purpose. You can access the option through the digital platform provided by the banks. Here, you can see the recent trends in banking.
Digital Banking
If you want to deposit or withdraw an amount previously, you have to go to the bank and fill out the form. Only then can you make the transaction. You have to wait for long in the queue. But now everything is digitalized even for opening, you do not need to go to the banks. Everything is done with the help of online portals, internet banking, and mobile banking apps. You can easily use credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets without carrying cash.
Automation in Banking
Automation combines robotic process automation (RPA) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies to automate complex and critical business tasks. Banks can automate repetitive tasks such as data entry, document processing, and customer onboarding. It reduces errors and improves the efficiency of banking systems.
AI & ML Technologies
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies are highly used in bank sectors to improve the efficiency of operations, fraud detection, and improve customer experience.  AI-driven chatbots and virtual assistants to improvise customer assistance by providing 24/7 chat support. Regtech Technology

Banks' increased use of AI, blockchain, big data, and machine learning algorithms has made improving risk management capabilities and automating compliance processes a top priority.
Internet Usage

You can search for your nearby ATMs, do UPI money transfer, and do all the mobile banking activities with the help of the Internet. The Internet integrated Hospitals, Education Institutions, Shopping Malls, and merchandise shops with the bank.

Women's Not So Distant History
This #WomensHistoryMonth, let's not forget how many of our rights were only won in recent decades, and weren’t acquired by asking nicely and waiting. We need to fight for our rights. Here's are a few examples:
Tumblr media
📍 Before 1974's Fair Credit Opportunity Act made it illegal for financial institutions to discriminate against applicants' gender, banks could refuse women a credit card. Women won the right to open a bank account in the 1960s, but many banks still refused without a husband’s signature. This allowed men to continue to have control over women’s bank accounts. Unmarried women were often refused service by financial institutions entirely.
Tumblr media
📍 Before 1977, sexual harassment was not considered a legal offense. That changed when a woman brought her boss to court after she refused his sexual advances and was fired. The court stated that her termination violated the 1974 Civil Rights Act, which made employment discrimination illegal.⚖️
Tumblr media
📍 In 1969, California became the first state to pass legislation to allow no-fault divorce. Before then, divorce could only be obtained if a woman could prove that her husband had committed serious faults such as adultery. 💍By 1977, nine states had adopted no-fault divorce laws, and by late 1983, every state had but two. The last, New York, adopted a law in 2010.
Tumblr media
📍In 1967, Kathrine Switzer, entered the Boston Marathon under the name "K.V. Switzer." At the time, the Amateur Athletics Union didn't allow women. Once discovered, staff tried to remove Switzer from the race, but she finished. AAU did not formally accept women until fall 1971.
Tumblr media
📍 In 1972, Lillian Garland, a receptionist at a California bank, went on unpaid leave to have a baby and when she returned, her position was filled. Her lawsuit led to 1978's Pregnancy Discrimination Act, which found that discriminating against pregnant people is unlawful
Tumblr media
📍 It wasn’t until 2016 that gay marriage was legal in all 50 states. Previously, laws varied by state, and while many states allowed for civil unions for same-sex couples, it created a separate but equal standard. In 2008, California was the first state to achieve marriage equality, only to reverse that right following a ballot initiative later that year.
Tumblr media
📍In 2018, Utah and Idaho were the last two states that lacked clear legislation protecting chest or breast feeding parents from obscenity laws. At the time, an Idaho congressman complained women would, "whip it out and do it anywhere,"
Tumblr media
📍 In 1973, the Supreme Court affirmed the right to safe legal abortion in Roe v. Wade. At the time of the decision, nearly all states outlawed abortion with few exceptions. In 1965, illegal abortions made up one-sixth of all pregnancy- and childbirth-related deaths. Unfortunately after years of abortion restrictions and bans, the Supreme Court overturned Roe in 2022. Since then, 14 states have fully banned care, and another 7 severely restrict it – leaving most of the south and midwest without access.
Tumblr media
📍 Before 1973, women were not able to serve on a jury in all 50 states. However, this varied by state: Utah was the first state to allow women to serve jury duty in 1898. Though, by 1927, only 19 states allowed women to serve jury duty. The Civil Rights Act of 1957 gave women the right to serve on federal juries, though it wasn't until 1973 that all 50 states passed similar legislation
Tumblr media
📍 Before 1988, women were unable to get a business loan on their own. The Women's Business Ownership Act of 1988 allowed women to get loans without a male co-signer and removed other barriers to women in business. The number of women-owned businesses increased by 31 times in the last four decades.

Tumblr media
📍 Before 1965, married women had no right to birth control. In Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), the Supreme Court ruled that banning the use of contraceptives violated the right to marital privacy.
Tumblr media
📍 Before 1967, interracial couples didn’t have the right to marry. In Loving v. Virginia, the Supreme Court found that anti-miscegenation laws were unconstitutional. In 2000, Alabama was the last State to remove its anti-miscegenation laws from the books.
Tumblr media
📍 Before 1972, unmarried women didn’t have the right to birth control. While married couples gained the right in 1967, it wasn’t until Eisenstadt v. Baird seven years later, that the Supreme Court affirmed the right to contraception for unmarried people.
Tumblr media
📍 In 1974, the last “Ugly Laws” were repealed in Chicago. “Ugly Laws” allowed the police to arrest and jail people with visible disabilities for being seen in public. People charged with ugly laws were either charged a fine or held in jail. ‘Ugly Laws’ were a part of the late 19th century Victorian Era poor laws.
Tumblr media
📍 In 1976, Hawaii was the last state to lift requirements that a woman take her husband’s last name.  If a woman didn’t take her husband’s last name, employers could refuse to issue her payroll and she could be barred from voting.
Tumblr media
📍 It wasn’t until 1993 that marital assault became a crime in all 50 states. Historically, intercourse within marriage was regarded as a “right” of spouses. Before 1974, in all fifty U.S. states, men had legal immunity for assaults their wives. Oklahoma and North Carolina were the last to change the law in 1993.
Tumblr media
📍  In 1990, the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) – most comprehensive disability rights legislation in U.S. history – was passed. The ADA protected disabled people from employment discrimination. Previously, an employer could refuse to hire someone just because of their disability.
Tumblr media
📍 Before 1993, women weren’t allowed to wear pants on the Senate floor. That changed when Sen. Moseley Braun (D-IL), & Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) wore trousers - shocking the male-dominated Senate. Their fashion statement ultimately led to the dress code being clarified to allow women to wear pants.
Tumblr media
📍 Emergency contraception (Plan B) wasn't approved by the FDA until 1998. While many can get emergency contraception at their local drugstore, back then it required a prescription. In 2013, the FDA removed age limits & allowed retailers to stock it directly on the shelf (although many don’t).
Tumblr media
📍  In Lawrence v. Texas (2003), the Supreme Court ruled that anti-cohabitation laws were unconstitutional. Sometimes referred to as the ‘'Living in Sin' statute, anti-cohabitation laws criminalize living with a partner if the couple is unmarried. Today, Mississippi still has laws on its books against cohabitation.

Restricted transactions
The amount of transactions you can do monthly with zero-balance accounts is sometimes limited. Banks sometimes can limit the number of withdrawals per month. The banks can also change your zero-balance account into a conventional savings account if you withdraw more than allowed. Some banks might even charge you a small fee for these additional transactions.
Number of savings bank accounts:
As per some governments, you can only have a limited number of zero-balance accounts in a single bank. You are also prohibited from holding any other savings account in the same bank if you have a zero-balance account. When applying to a zero-balance savings account, you must provide the bank with a statement certifying that you do not currently have a zero-balance account with any other bank.
A zero-balance savings account, although offering its own benefits, may impact your financial situation, particularly in the event of unforeseen expenses requiring several withdrawals.

What should you consider when opening a bank account?
Opening a bank account is a crucial financial choice that greatly impacts your financial goals and well-being. It is imperative to approach this decision with the utmost care and consideration, whether you are starting this path for the first time or thinking about switching between banking organizations. Choosing the right account opening app is the best option, and it significantly impacts your capacity to manage your money, affecting everything from short-term savings objectives to daily financial activities. It serves as the cornerstone of your financial journey. Therefore, it is crucial that you carefully consider your alternatives, evaluate your objectives, and choose the account that best suits your individual financial goals and circumstances.
24*7 banking facility:
Customers of the majority of banks have access to Internet banking services. However, many of the most popular transactions still need to be permitted by all institutions when done online. Some banks give online access to all required transactions, but the user interfaces for their Internet and mobile banking could be better. If you want to conduct most of your banking activities online, confirm that the bank provides 24-hour banking services and whether it allows for completing most transactions using Internet and mobile banking.
Debit card deals:
Most banks provide promotions on their debit cards, ranging from cash-back offers to insurance coverage, to set themselves apart from rivals. Nevertheless, some banks charge annual fees for their debit cards, while others waive them if annual transactions reach a particular threshold. Banks provide gold and platinum debit cards with several advantages but frequently have a yearly fee.
Availability of credit facilities:
Getting loans from the bank where you have your basic savings account is always simpler. Banks consider your previous banking experience with them when granting loans to you. A positive and lasting banking connection is a big asset when applying for a loan. Finding the account opening app helps to have a safe transaction, and they provide account holders with solid credit histories and positive account balances with pre-qualified and pre-approved loans. With no paperwork required, you can apply for loans online and immediately receive the funds in your account. So, if you might need credit in the future, check out the bank's credit options.
Discounts and offers:
Pay attention to the savings and promotions the bank gives on debit cards, credit cards, wallets, and other online transactions if you wish to pay your bills and purchase without using cash. Most top banks occasionally provide generous discounts and promotions, particularly during holidays. These offers can save you money or net your reward points if used carefully. To take advantage of these deals to the fullest, consider opening a savings account with a bank that has a relationship with your favored retailer or provides the most overall savings on your preferred category of goods.
Wrapping it up:
From the above mentioned, a financial choice like opening a bank account can affect both your short- and long-term financial objectives. Before choosing, consider your needs, contrasting bank services, and asking questions. Axis zero balance account open online best fits your financial condition and goals by considering these things. Making an informed decision is crucial for your financial security because your bank should be a trusted partner in managing your funds.

𝜗𝜚 ࣪˖ ִ𐙚 uncut footage: my personal diary documenting my life with the loa 💬
14 nov 2024: i’ve come back to the much needed conclusion that manifestation will always be as simple as pick a desire -> keep persisiting.
i’ve also simplified the loa into
- my imagination is PRESENT, my 3D is PAST ASSUMPTIONS. I get to determine how things play out so do so in my favour
- why persist? because persisting was always to remind me of what i already have?? “would i tell myself i didnt have money if i had a million $$$ in my bank account? no!” its an ongoing thing, not something i stop as soon as i 'get' ur desires (in the 3D)
- belief is not necessary, persistence is. My persisting will soon turn into belief also,t imagination wont ignore my desires just because i dont believe i have them (& its such a 3D ish concept aswell)
also, i’ve realised i lowk start to get anxious whenever i open loa tumblr because im scared i will fall back into the pattern of doomscrolling/overconsuming loa content (which left me confused as FAWK). & additionally to that also, i’ve been dealing with jealousy lately & feeling like im falling behind my peers (esp with uni application stress, etc) but i let those emotions pass & reminded myself that i already got all my offers (in the imagination which is my realer reality anyways) & that no matter what, i will get into my dream uni <33
but yea, i love how content i am with the loa now. I barely listen to subs, i js rely on exaggerated affirmations, visualising & really living in the imagination & i think its going alrr 💗
xoxo, brattywise

⚡️Solar return chart 2022⚡️
Tumblr media
Hello I’m am back with SR Chart observation as I promised from 2022, these are just personal observations and experiences if you haven’t experienced any sorts of things that’s complete fine. These are not facts neither predictions so don’t panic and think that the same situation will manifest for you. Alright ??? 😉
yeah let’s just get into it ! 🫶🏽
⚡️Cancer Rising:
This placement literally made me emotionally expressive and MOODY more than ever. From the start of that year i stayed at home for literally 3- 4 months after I dropped out of school. I very much enjoyed being at home with my family, cooking, cleaning doing domestic stuff . It was very interesting how the people in my environment started being very supportive and protective over my well-being like those of a little child. I definitely expressed my emotions openly : like randomly crying , huge outburst of laughter , or simply smiling a lot. I felt more caring and nurturing towards others . Thought about moving out surfaced a lot. Cancer is a very comforting energy but since it’s ruled by the moon there a lot of drastic unstable changes that could occur in once live.
⚡️Moon , North Node in the 12th house:
This placement brought a profound sense of isolation and introspection. I found myself naturally drawn to solitude, spending hours meditating, practicing yoga, or simply enjoying peaceful moments in nature. It felt like a spiritual awakening—connecting deeply with my intuition and exploring dreams that often felt like messages from a higher source. Meditation and Manifestation became a daily practice. While these moments of stillness were empowering, they also highlighted an inner restlessness and a desire to understand my true purpose. This phase was about healing, embracing the unknown, and surrendering to the flow of life.
⚡️Sun, Neptune, Jupiter in the 10th house:
Career and life path became the central focus during this time. I found myself dreaming bigger, envisioning a life where my efforts and aspirations aligned perfectly. I applied to different companies and got a new good job, I was in my hustling and bag area it was pretty good and productive year. I started thinking about the impact I wanted to have in the world like how I wanted to be perceived and what achievements I wanted to be known for. It was all about refining my goals, building a stronger work ethic, and setting the stage for future success.
⚡️SR Rising in natal 3rd house:
Communication became a major theme since I had went to a lot of interviews, had to reintroduce myself to different people which pushed me out of my comfort zone. Also writing job applications, or reconnecting with siblings, it felt like the universe was nudging me to refine my voice and share my thoughts more clearly. Short-distance travels were frequent, giving me a sense of curiosity.
⚡️Venus, Mars, Pluto in the 8th house:
Now these placements fucked meee upppp and I really mean they fucked my life up and turned it to 180
With Pluto being in my 8th house, the intensity of this year was amplified 10x. The 8th house rules transformation, trauma, money, intimacy, and taboo topics, so this energy hit hard. At the start, I was determined to open a bank and savings account, but it took forever with endless complications. I became obsessed with earning money—whether through my own efforts or others' help. Mars pushed me to focus on loans, investments, and financial security, while Venus amplified my desire for deep, soul-bonding relationships, intimacy, and, let’s be real... a lot of … Pluto, however, had other plans, flipping my world upside down. It made me face every fear and trauma regarding death, losing loved ones, intimacy, change, love, and even illness. I got sick for six months straight, lost friends, stability, and other things. It led to a mild depression, but in true 8th house fashion, I rose stronger. Now, I feel like Wonder Woman nothing and no one can shake me. I survived the storm, and that’s power. 💪🔥
⚡️Saturn in the 9th house:
Soo with this Saturn placement your girl has been hustling for good grades in school to not fail for the year. like since then I hated going to school bc it very stressful, and bad for my well-being , like I was always tense and stressed bc of school, in our normal societal living that is very much expected from us but honestly I just wasn’t having it. And even when i changed to another school it was the same shit like the environment and people were very cold ,strict and depressing I honestly didn’t had a nice time at school but at least I was motivated to study and learn as much as I can but at the end I decided to rather drop out because it was fucking with mental health. Also traveling long as hours for work and school purposes drove me crazy, that’s an area where I have been very disciplined at but It definitely took patience and determination to get there ;) .
⚡️Uranus, Chiron in the 11th house:
Guese who tf lost all their friends suddenly ??? And had a hard time fitting in new social groups because they felt different from everyone else:
🙋🏽‍♀️
(but no for real the energy is 10x intensified bc I have it natally additionaly Saturn is transiting my natal 11th house so yeah 🙁) not only did I loose most of friends but when engaging with different kinds of social groups I felt so uncomfortable and weird, like I had a very detached feeling. I hated to even be surrounded by groups of ppl that don’t hold the same value to mine or I that I can’t engage in intellectual topic of my interest. I was mostly bored asf when in interactions and stoped giving a fuck about trying too fit in and please their expectation and needs, I surely saw also trough the fake persona of a lot of ppl that I encountered and distanced myself even more. But It was that easy being all alone and isolated.

Help Wanted (Pt. 1)
Summary: Finding a part time job isn’t easy, especially if the owner doesn’t realize he’s hiring.
Tumblr media
Bringing in the last box and placing it on your kitchen counter, you look around at your new apartment. Happy to have carried the last box up your flight of stairs, you wipe your hair away from you face, even though it was pretty early in the morning the temperature was still warm. Looking down on your counter at your to do list that you have made, you figure you might as well cross off a couple of items before its lunch time.
Deciding that the first thing you should do is clean your new apartment before you start to put things away, you find the bag of cleaning supplies that you bought a day ago. Starting with the kitchen and working your way through the bathroom and bedroom you dust, scrub, and vacuum until your new apartment is clean. Feeling satisfied with your work and a bit gross from sweating, you find the box marked bathroom and begin to put your shower items away along with your new bath rugs. After taking a shower and throwing on an outfit, you head to the kitchen and cross off the items that you had accomplished. Looking down at your phone you notice that it is well past lunch time and that you are starving. Figuring that it was time to take a break and explore your new neighborhood, you put on some shoes and grab your to do list and throw it into your bag.
Walking down the stairs leading up to your apartment building, you make the decision to find a local restaurant for lunch. After a couple blocks, you find a small cafe that looks promising. Walking in and looking up at the menu above the register, you notice that they have a variety of sandwiches and soups along with pastries. After you place your order, you find a table near a window looking out onto the street. The food that you ordered comes out and it tastes amazing, you make a mental note to try a pastry at some point.
You take out your phone and your to do list from your bag. You scan your list over, seeing what else you can accomplish today. One item on your list that you are dreading is checking your bank account and seeing what kind of budget you are going to be working with. Sighing, you open up your bank app and log in. The amount that you see in both your checking and your savings isn’t that great. You have a small amount of savings, but you hate to touch that. Your checking account isn’t that much better. You’re not sure that it will tide you over until your teaching job starts up in August. You knew that moving to the city was going to be a risk, but you didn’t have that much of a choice. Deciding that you’d like to eat more than just ramen noodles and crackers for all of your meals and wanting to decorate your apartment so that it feels like home, you add a new item to your to do list: find a part time job. You know that once school starts you won’t have too much extra time, but you’ll be able to work weekends and possibly a few nights. Gathering up your items, you throw away your trash and decide to walk a couple more blocks before heading back to your apartment and unpacking boxes.
As you were about to turn around and head back towards your apartment, you glance at a window with a piece of paper taped to it saying help wanted. You glance up at the sign to the building, seeing that it is a beef restaurant. You don’t have any experience working in the food service, but you’re a quick learner. Hoping that this is a way to cross off finding a part time job, you walk into the restaurant. There is a pretty decent line of people placing orders to go, so you wait in line hoping to ask for an application. Once the lady in front of you orders, you step up to the person taking orders at the register.
“What can I get you hun?” The man at the register asks, taking the pencil behind his ear to write down your order.
“Hi. I. Um. I saw your help wanted sign in your window.” You point to the window and smile. “I was just hoping to fill out an application.”
The man puts the pencil back behind his ear and looks around. Noticing that all of the other customers are either eating or taking their food to go, he sees that there is no longer a line behind you. “Do you have any experience in a restaurant?” He asks you.
“I don’t. But I am a quick learner and I work hard.” You say, hoping that not having any experience wouldn’t hurt your chances at the position.
The man smiles. “I see. Well, there isn’t too much to learn. I just need help out here in the front. You’d be cleaning tables, restocking the napkins, helping bag to go orders.”
“I can do that! Do you have an application that I can fill out?” You cut in, happy that the job isn’t for a cook, because you have very little skills in that department.
“Eh. We don’t need applications here. Think you can start now?” He asks.
Surprised by how fast this is going, you nod your head. “Oh. Sure. Y-Yes. I can start now.” Looking down at your outfit you wished you would’ve worn different shoes.
“Good. You seem like you’d fit in here.” The man holds out his hand for you to shake. “I’m Richie.”
Shaking his hand, you smile. “Nice to meet you. I’m y/n”. Adjusting the bag on your shoulder, you look around at the now almost empty restaurant. “What would you like me to do first?”
“Give me your bag. I’ll put it behind the counter here. You can start with cleaning the tables that are empty. The supplies are underneath that counter over there.” Richie points to where the supplies are hidden. You hand him your bag and make your way over to get the supplies. Once you have them, you pick a table by the window to get started.
As you start to spray down the table, you realize that you didn’t ask any of the important questions. How long are the shifts? How much money do you make? Is it fine if you are just doing part time and not full time? A bit embarrassed that you are going to have to ask those questions at some point after you were hired.
You eventually find a rhythm to cleaning. After you clean and wipe off the tables, you move on to cleaning the window by the door, noticing that it probably hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. Hearing a crash come from the kitchen and someone swearing, you look over to Richie who is taking a customer’s order. He doesn’t seemed phased by whatever is happening in the kitchen so you go back to cleaning the window.
“Dammit Richie! Why in the hell didn’t you call about the order I told you about yesterday.” Glancing over you see a man with a blue apron come out of the kitchen, shouting at Richie.
“Chill out cousin. I got it covered.” You hear Richie say.
“Just get it down. Now!” You take one more glance at Richie and the other man, making eye contact with him you give him a small smile.
“What are you doing?” The man asks you with his head tilted to the side. His volume a bit lower than when he spoke to Richie.
Placing the rag on the window sill, you turn to face him. “Oh. I’m cleaning the window. It looked like it needed it. I already finished with all of the tables.”
“Cousin. This is y/n.” Richie says pointing to you.
“Why is y/n cleaning my restaurant?” You feel the heat rise to your cheeks, as the man turns to ask Richie this question.
“Because I’m slammed up here! You got me making calls and taking orders on top of cleaning. I needed some help so I hired her.” Richie says that last statement with a poke to the man’s chest.
“Why the fuck would you hire someone when this isn’t your restaurant?! You can’t do that.” The man pinches the bridge of his nose and seems to take a deep breath. “Richie. We don’t have the money to hire anyone. We barely have the money to keep this place running as it is.” You’re not sure what you should do and you don’t want to make anything worst, so you slowly gather up the cleaning supplies and place them in the bucket.
“Look y/n. I’m sure you’re great. We just can’t hire anyone at the moment. I. I can pay you for your time that you did today, but that’s it.” The man runs his hand through his hair making it more messy than it was.
You walk up to Richie and the other man, feeling a bit defeated, hoping that this would’ve worked out. “It’s fine. You don’t have to pay me, I was only here for an hour or two.” You place the bucket of cleaning supplies on the counter. “Richie, it was nice to meet you” you hold out your hand to shake his. Turning to the other man. “Um..” You realize that you didn’t hear this man’s name yet.
“Carmen.” He responds going to shake your hand that you have left up mid air.
“Carmen, it was nice to meet you too.” You give a small smile.
Looking at Richie. “Would you mind handing me my bag?” After you grab your bag, you say to Richie. “Thanks. You might want to take down the help wanted sign.”
Carmen looks at Richie. “Seriously. You even put up a sign without asking?!”
“How are people going to know we’re hiring without a sign?” Richie yells back.
“We’re not hiring! Take the sign down now.” Carmen yells before going back to the kitchen.
“Sorry kid. Thought it’d work out.” Richie says to you on his way to take the sign down.
You sigh. “It’s fine. Something will work out.” You walk out the restaurant and turn towards your apartment building.
Walking into your apartment, you set your bag down on the kitchen counter and take out your to do list. Figuring it’s a bit late to look for another job at the moment, you settle in on unpacking some of your boxes. As the hours go by, you are able to set up your bedroom and front room, leaving only the kitchen boxes left to unpack. Feeling satisfied with what you have accomplished so far, you sit down to check your phone. There are a few text messages from people wondering how you are liking your new apartment and new city. After you type out a few responses, you decide that you need to figure out what you want to eat for dinner. You haven’t gone to the grocery store yet and you don’t have anything here to eat. Remembering your bank account from earlier, you know that eating out isn’t really an option until you start getting a paycheck. Sighing, you get your shoes back on and head to the grocery store that you remember passing earlier today.
Once at the store, you grab a basket and start to walk down the aisles. Trying to stretch your money, you pick up some off brand cereal, ramen noodles, and some soup that is on sale. Making your way to the check out, you notice that this store is actually pretty crowded and that the line is decently long. Scanning over some of the magazine covers as you wait to put your items on the belt, the person behind you accidentally hits you with their basket.
“Uh. Sorry.” The person says. Turning around to respond to them, you notice that it’s Carmen from the restaurant.
“Oh. It’s. It’s fine. Nice to see you again.” You give him a smile. It seems like it takes him a moment to figure out who you are.
“Right. Yeah. Sorry about earlier. My cousin doesn’t always think.” Carmen says rubbing his hand over his face.
It’s your turn to put your items up, so you unload your basket, not that it takes that long to do. “It’s okay. Really. Things happen.” As the lady at the checkout starts to ring up your items, Carmen places his items on the belt. Noticing that the final price of your total is more than what you had in your head, you look at the computer screen and realize that the soup that you thought was on sale actually isn’t. Feeling a bit embarrassed, you look at the lady checking you out, and give her a small smile. “I’m sorry. I guess I wasn’t paying attention to the signs right. I thought that soup was on sale.”
The lady looks at the soup that you picked out and then back to the screen. “Nope. They’re full price. You want them?”
“N-No. No thank you.” You reply. The lady takes the cans of soup out of your bag and makes some adjustment on the computer screen. You try to avoid eye contact with everyone.
Carmen looks up and takes in the situation. “I can get those for you if you want.” He says.
The man who fired you, well you guess not so much fired because there wasn’t a position to begin with, offering to pay for your soup turns out to be too much. You could feel some tears coming. You turn to him but don’t look him in the eyes. “Please don’t do that. It was just a mix up.” You whisper.
You quickly pay the lady and grab your two bags before walking out. You probably should have said something to him before you just ran out of there, but you were embarrassed and flustered. As you get a block away from the store, you see a car slow down beside you and the window rolls down.
“Hey.” You hear from the car. Not wanting to be involved in anything, you look straight ahead and starting walking at a bit of a faster pace. “Hey! Y/n!”
You slow down and look at the person in the car, seeing Carmen behind the wheel. “Oh. Hi again.”
“Do you need a lift?” He asks as he pulls the car over to the side.
“I’m fine. I only live a few more blocks away.”
“Get in. I’ll take you. It’s getting late. You shouldn’t have to walk alone.” Carmen says. You contemplate whether or not to get in. You don’t even know this person other than he owns a restaurant.
“Y/n.” You look back to him. “Just get in.” Making a decision, you open up the passenger door. Before sitting down, you notice that there is a bag on the seat from the grocery store with the soup that you didn’t get. You look to Carmen and notice the there’s a faint blush on his cheeks. “I wanted to get you those to make up for earlier.”
Moving the bag to the floor by your feet, you smile at him. “Thank you. You didn’t have to do that.”
Hearing a notification, Carmen reaches into his pocket for his phone. After reading something on his phone, he looks to you says, “Hey. I know that you were on your way home, but do you mind if I swing by the restaurant first?”
“Sure. That’s fine.” You adjust the bags at your feet and put on your seat belt. “Thanks for the ride. Um, and thanks for the soup Carmen.” You turn your head to look at him as he pulls back into traffic.
“Carmy.” He says as lights a cigarette.
“I’m sorry?” Not sure what he is referring to.
“Call me Carmy. Most people do.” He says, as he makes a turn onto another road.
You nod and smile, turning and watching the buildings go by as he drives.

God, I need to get a job.
The afternoon sun filters in through the blinds as you scroll through your phone, trying to distract yourself from the reality of your future. You graduated college months ago and still have no idea what you want to do or how to do it. Application after application, shitty interview after shitty interview, and you’re still no further into the career that’s supposed to be the rest of your life.
Sighing, you prop yourself up on your elbows in bed to take in the space around you - clothes were strewn across the floor of your studio apartment, dirty dishes piled in the sink, empty takeout containers from restaurants you certainly couldn’t afford to be eating at. It was all just too much.
Eh, I’ll get around to it, you think, laying back into the pillows and returning to your phone. You navigate to check your bank account, just to see the damage that months of unemployment have done.
“Balance: $68.06”
Shit. That’s not even enough to make rent this month, and even if you did have a job lined up you’ve already asked your landlord for one extension on your payments and he did not seem very open to the prospect of doing it again.
Trying to shut out the thought of possibly losing your apartment, you move over to Instagram to quiet the dread building inside of you. Scrolling through posts of your friends on yachts, traveling the country, eating expensive dinners with expensive-looking people, you only feel like more of a failure.
How are they able to do it? I mean, sure, they at least have jobs, but none of them pay well enough to do this, right?
You hover over one of your friend’s pictures, trying to recognize the incredibly well-dressed, albeit much older, man she’s seated across from. As you zoom in, it suddenly clicks - her new jewelry, the expensive bottle of champagne, fresh nails, styled hair - and you remember your conversation with her the last time you saw each other.
You were both out at a bar and she kept buying rounds of shots for you and all your friends.
“Dude, not to be a total dick, but how are you able to afford all this?” you shout over the music blasting through the speakers.
“Oh m’god, you aren’t gonna believe it” she slurs slightly, “there’s this app where rich guys pay you to just go on dates with ‘em, I jus’ gotta keep lookin’ pretty and they pay me so much.”
“Don’t you have to, like, fuck them though?” you ask, curiously raising an eyebrow.
“Only if y’wanna! You’re not really supposed to, but they pay you a lot more!” she grins.
At the time you pushed the conversation to the back of your mind and promptly forgot about it after a few more drinks, but now the realization crashes over you.
No, there’s no way. You try to shake the idea out of your mind - were you seriously considering getting a sugar daddy before getting a job?
She did make it sound pretty easy though…and I mean, it’s just dates, right?
You hesitantly pull out your laptop to search for the website she had mentioned. There’s no harm in just checking it out, you try to rationalize. Before you know it, you’ve set up a profile and have picked out a few pictures of yourself that make you look particularly hot - you out at a bar, you on the beach, you with your friends.
After you finalize your profile, the screen suddenly fills with pictures of, frankly, less-than-attractive older men. You roll your eyes and scoff at your own stupidity for even considering this idea, starting to shut your laptop before something catches your eye in the corner of the screen.
Bright white hair and piercing blue eyes look back at you through the computer. Holy shit, he’s hot, you think as you move your mouse to click on his profile.
Bio: “My name’s Gojo, but you can call me yours 🥰 23, casual only”
Okay, so he’s hot, rich, and practically the same age as you? You feel like you’ve struck gold. Besides, he only wants something casual, which is all you’re interested in anyways since you still need to focus on finding a job eventually, but this could at least help you financially bridge the gap between then and now.
Swiping up, you decide to just send him a message and hope for the best; after all, the worst he can say is no.
You: Gojo, I need you to be fr with me - does that pickup line in your bio ever actually work?
Sighing, you move to close your computer as you wait for him to respond, but a message pops up almost instantly.
Gojo: Why don’t you find out tonight over dinner - 7:30 work for you?
A smile starts to form on your lips - this was almost too easy. The two of you briefly confirm the details of your first date before you finally shut your laptop and start getting ready.
Standing outside of the restaurant, you’re suddenly hit with a wave of nervousness as the reality of what you’re about to do sets in.
There’s no way this is a good idea - maybe I should just go home. No, no, I’ve made it this far, and I really do need the money.
You inhale a shaky breath as you try to steady yourself before reaching for the door and walking inside. The restaurant is beautiful, the scent of fresh bread and herbs hitting your nose as soon as your feet step onto the dark wood of the floor. The deep red walls make the space feel cozy, intimately lit with candles and a chandelier hanging overhead. You glance down at the burgundy dress and black heels you decided on since they were the nicest clothes you owned, yet you still feel slightly underdressed.
Glancing around the restaurant, the white-haired man is nowhere to be found. “Hi, um, I’m here to meet someone,” you hesitantly explain to the person at the host stand.
“Ah yes, you must be with Mr. Gojo. Right this way,” he gestures for you to follow him. He leads you through the restaurant to the far back corner, unveiling a small room that was initially hidden behind a curtain.
As you adjust to the dim lighting, you glance around the new space in front of you: a single table with roses placed in the middle, and on one side sits perhaps the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen. He smiles at you as those bright blue eyes meet yours before they slowly move down and up your body, taking you all in.
“Well, aren’t you a treat,” he grins before getting up to pull out the empty chair for you.
When he stands up you allow your gaze to cover him as your eyes shift up to his white locks then down across his black suit, adorned with a dark red tie that somehow perfectly matches your dress.
“You aren’t half-bad yourself,” you respond as you move across the small space to sit down.
“Careful now, don’t flatter me too much or it’ll go to my head,” he smirks as he returns to his seat across from you. He places his elbow on the table and rests his chin in his palm, staring at you.
Trying to break the silence, you murmur, “This place is nice.”
“Mhm,” he hums, eyes never leaving your face.
“So, um, what do you do?” you continue, desperately trying to loosen the pressure you feel from his gaze.
“Do you care?” he taunts, tilting his head to the side with that same smirk on his face.
“W-well, I-” you stammer.
“It’s okay sweetheart, I’m not offended. You’re here because I’m paying you, and I’m here because I wanted to sit across from a beautiful woman. It doesn’t have to be anything more than that,” he smiles.
The combination of the pet name and him calling you beautiful suddenly makes your cheeks flush and you look down at the table, trying to hide your reddening face.
Suddenly you feel a hand on your chin as Gojo gently tilts your head back up. “Eyes up here, princess,” he purrs. “After all, what’s the point of this little date if I can’t even look at you?”
Something about his touch, his voice, his words has your heart fluttering in your chest. You’ve never been nervous like this over a guy before, and you’ve barely just met him.
You swallow, trying to keep your eyes on his but it almost feels like he’s seeing into you, somehow able to view the depths of your soul. You feel naked in front of him, like he’s looking at your very essence.
After what feels like an eternity, he finally breaks the eye contact with a chuckle. “Sorry, I know I can come off a little intense sometimes. You’re just so gorgeous it feels like I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t try to take it all in.”
A sigh escapes your lips as you finally tear your gaze away from him, softly laughing at the compliment.
The rest of the date goes smoothly - he orders the most expensive bottle of wine on the menu and tells you to get whatever you want, since it’s obviously his treat. The conversation flows easily between the two of you, and you find yourself genuinely enjoying your time with him. When it comes time to leave, he thanks you for spending the night with him and gives you his phone number in case you ever want to go out again. As you part ways to walk towards your car, you get a notification from your bank.
Holy. Shit.
Your eyes widen at the screen. Gojo sent you $2,000.
You almost feel dizzy, not having had this much money at once in nearly months. Now you can pay rent and buy groceries and do all the other stuff you were too broke to do. Sitting in your car, you let out a squeal of excitement.
Unfortunately, your joy gets cut short as you go to turn your car on, the key turning repeatedly in the ignition as it stalls out.
Of course, you think, the one time I don’t put gas in this goddamn thing. To your credit, you really couldn’t afford it, and it had lasted longer on empty before. You had also neglected the oil change, and the tire rotation, and the other maintenance the mechanic kept emailing you was overdue, but how were you supposed to pay for all that anyways? Not knowing what to do, you pull out your phone to call someone to help you. As you unlock it, you’re met with Gojo’s contact information he just put in.
I mean, he would definitely help me. And I know he can afford gas. Sighing, you call him.
He answers almost immediately. “Miss me already?”
You want to roll your eyes at his cockiness, but you really do need his help. “My piece of shit car won’t turn on, and I figured you’re probably still close to the restaurant, could you help?”
“Anything for you, sweetheart. I’ll be there in a minute.” Even after just one date, it’s like you can practically hear his smile through the phone.
As promised, he arrives a few minutes later. He drives up in a sleek, black Porsche that has windows so tinted you wouldn’t be able to see inside if he hadn’t rolled his window down. Of course he drives a nice car, you think to yourself.
“Your savior has arrived,” he smirks, leaning his head out the window at you where you stand against your car. Opening the passenger side door reveals the interior of the vehicle, which is just as nice as the outside, with black leather seats and an all-black console. “You know, this is usually the part where you say thank you.” He turns to face you as the scent of his cologne hits you, something woody and crisp.
“Thanks,” you mutter as you settle into the comfortable seat. “You can just take me home.”
“On it,” he responds with a salute.
The drive is quiet as you spiral into your thoughts. How am I supposed to get a job now if I can’t even drive to an interview? How am I even supposed to get groceries? Can I just leave my car at the restaurant? Where else would I even take it? How am I supposed to afford this? Fuck.
Gojo clears his throat next to you, pulling you out of your mind. “You alright over there, sweetheart?”
“Y-yeah, sorry,” you stutter, “just stressed.”
He glances over at you out of the corner of his eyes. “Well, what if I could help you be a little less stressed?”
“Oh yeah, and how would you do that exactly?” Looking down, you suddenly notice his hand on your thigh, his thumb moving in slow circles along your skin. The gentle sensation makes you feel flustered as heat begins to pool between your legs.
Am I seriously about to fuck this guy I just met?
Before you can say anything else, Gojo continues. “How about you use my car while I get yours sorted out for you, hm?” A look of surprise flashes across your face at his kindness and lack of sexual proposition. “What, not the offer you were expecting?” he smirks.
“Gojo, I-” you start.
“Look, princess, I want to do this. Let me help you, please?” he pleads.
“Fine,” you relent, “but I owe you one, seriously.”
“Don’t worry about it. But, if you really insist, I’m sure we can figure out a way for you to repay me at some point.” You tilt your head to look at him as his eyes meet yours, a glint of mischief in his blue irises.
After a few more minutes of him flirting with you, his hand never leaving your thigh, Gojo finally pulls up to your apartment building. Stepping out of the car, he hands you the keys and reminds you not to worry, that he’ll take care of everything. You thank him again as you walk inside - he insists you don’t wait outside while he waits for his ride home - and he sends you off with a wave.
Walking into your apartment, your thoughts swirl in your mind as you replay the events that just transpired. How did you manage to find this rich, handsome, courteous man? More importantly, what’s the catch? If he’s truly as good as he seems, why was he on that website in the first place?
Sighing, you flop onto your bed and peel off your dress, tossing it into the accumulating pile of clothes on the floor. Your skin feels warm where he touched you, a part of you wishing he had inched higher. Before you realize you’re doing it, your hands traverse down your body between your legs, gently pulling your panties to the side.
As you rub over your clit, you picture how his soft fingertips would feel against you, how good those long fingers would feel inside you, beckoning you towards your release. Your other hand traces up your chest, gently cupping your breast as you toy with your firm nipple. His name escapes your mouth as you feel yourself getting closer, eyes shut as you picture him. “Gojo,” you can’t stop yourself from moaning into the empty room as your orgasm hits you, legs shaking, the thought of him the only thing on your mind.
Your breathing slows as you come down from your high, heart still pounding in your chest.
Well, that settles it, you think as you sit up. I guess I am going to fuck him.
