I’m really hoping we get at least a HINT of Hades x Persephone in the game! Even if there’s just like a flower in his house or something lol (though Disney isn’t that nice to us, especially when it comes to Persephone so I doubt it but still lol)!

I’m almost done with the Rift in Time storyline on my Switch and PC (I finished Act 1 and I’m on to Act 2, just gotta complete that and Act 3 and I’m good to go for Storybook Vale lol), so hopefully I’ll be seeing Hades very soon lol (I’m such a perfectionist lmao, I wanna finish the RiT story before playing Storybook Vale since Storybook is supposed to take place after Rift lol)!

Also, btw I totally have a whole backstory and storyline set up for the Hades and Persephone Dreamlight Valley AU, so as soon as I get an idea of what Hades’ storyline is for the game (why he’s there, what happened to him before he got there, and all that type of info), I’ll definitely post that lol!

Why do you like HS more than HSR? That's pretty interesting knowing most rc players dont really like Vicky and the story. And what do you think about Vicky and Lane as a MC? Which one do you like better and why? I saw the majority of readers liking Lane more because how smart and introspective she is, meanwhile you think she's no different than Vicky. Why?

Yeah I like HS more. I didn't know most players prefered Lane from Vicky tbh. Not many people like Vicky to start with due to her stupidity (That I find funny) so I just assumed the ratio was rather equal. As an MC i prefer Selena from Arcanum over these two.

I like Vicky simply because she makes me laugh. I don't want a relatable MC. This gal is not relatable at all in any capacity. I mean I don't wear dresses. I just like to see her reactions to every problem is just the worse solution everytime. Girl got an Art degree and is saving the multiverse people this is absolutely hilarious.

Lane and her both got the depression squad on lock (HS2 Vicky I mean on Composure path) , both are fashionnistas and both are kind of the choosen ones which is normal they are MC's. Lane monologue really brings the story alive in HSR because without it. Well...Yeah. Vicky has barley any thoughts but that's because HS1 and HS2 are dialogue focused instead of storytelling through the MC's eyes.

Vicky gets chased by every men for no reason ? Well sorry to burst some bubbles but Lane does get chased by every man in the story too. It's a romance story. It is super evident when you don't interact with Cain and Dmitry you talk to them almost 24/7 even if you try to have an hostile relationship meanwhile i gotta fight to even talk to Anna and Mimi respectively.

But again i am an F/F player so the personality of both MC's aren't even as horny as everyone complaining about. Feels chill which doesn't bother me as an asexual gal.

Vicky starts to be clingy towards Mimi in HS2, which is reciprocated. They genuinely feel like a couple going through some real bullshit together, in HS1 friends with benefits who slowly realises they are gay for each others. (My shock is how chill Vicky is with Mimi's former crush on Lucifer and how it's never adressed again. 10/10) Bisexual representation babyyyyy. The Bar was in sub-hell and we flew above.

And for HSR the romance route with Anna does not feel like a romance at all since Lane keeps going on and on on her lack of understanding to her attraction to women. Which kills me because bitch it's season 2.

Meanwhile Vicky got over it...fast as fuck. Like so fast it is a tad incredible. No internalized homophobia or anything girl went "I guess I love her."

The true problem with HSR is not only the female LI is sidelined which is fine by the way i am used to it. But I am not getting attached to any of the characters at all despite trying. Yeah Noah is cool but. He had 2 interactions with Lane, 3 actually. After 2 seasons. Kira except for her stabbing attempt do not talk at all to Lane unless you initiate the contact and even that it's super short. The Tatoo guy says his backstories and that's it. Greg. Is Greg. Cain is...Mysterious but in a "I hate talking to people" way not in a sexy way or entertaining. I don't get what the fuck he is doing 3/4 of the time except his job. Pigeon. And the angel gal are just here for plot exposure. Dmitry gets very boring very quickly if it's friendship. The story lacks "interactions"

In HS. Even if you don't interact with the characters, they talk to each others. A lot. I can tell you right now the statut of each and every relationship in HS. Yes even Austie and Leelo. The two bitches we saw like 5 times total I can tell you, Austie is "friends" with Mimi, Sex Friends with Lucifer, Ennemy of Vicky (one-sided as fuck) , Ennemy of Rebecca, Situationship with her dad.

Leelo, Favorite student of Fencio, Crush on Dino (One sided), Ennemy of Vicky (One sided). I think she has the worse relationships with her parents due to her speech beforr her death.

And mind you I didn't care about Leelo at all but I managed to analyze with the dialogues where she stood in the story.

Now let's do that with HSR. Shall we ?

Kira, Relationships : Noah colleague (No interaction), Pileon Suspecious Colleague, Anthea (No interaction) , Tatoo Guy (3 interactions) Colleague, Cain (No interaction), Dmitry Chef of the squad Absolutely a crush. Greg (No interaction) Colleague, Anna Colleague/Friend, Lane Colleague/Ennemy (one sided, Lane's monologue is not very clear about her stand ?)

See this shit ? This is a character that was introduced in episode 1. How comes ?? I could do the whole squad but this is how it looks mostly. Anna is the only one with friendly interactions and Lane is the one most hated generally.

So yes. HS is better then HSR. For that regard 100%. Now the plot points can be argued and talked upon, but for these regard I am not hearing anyone out.

ok I had to go make my own post about Eugene Cassette Beasts, it's not fair for me to fill up everyone else's tags w how much I love this guy. I wanted to speculate a little about his backstory here cause it honestly fascinates me and I feel like I havent seen this happen much in other media, much less turn based monster collecting RPGs.

So Eugene is from a future world (seemingly the only party member who is except maybe Barkley but he's a dog so.) It sounds like he's from the turn of the century, maybe 2100 or so, and mentions in his rank 3 friendship that in his world, there was a massive reformation when society as a while realized they couldn't keep fucking each other over and destroying the planet, so everyone worked hard to abolish the kinds of structures that unilaterally hurt people (for instance, capitalism). Sounds like a utopia right?

Eugene only says good things about his world really, how much people value acts of goodness and kindness. But he says it all with such a sad tone, like something he's missing out on, because he thinks he is, he didn't fit in. He says that he wasn't great at being helpful all the time, which is why he wants to do better in New Wirral, a world removed from his own where he can be a better person than he was in his own world.

But the thing is, he IS a nice person. Maybe that's by design, everything he does in New Wirral is about him playing the hero, but it's also oh so clear that he brought his own expectations of goodness from his own timeline and they're just as much of a burden here. Even when hes succeeding, he won't cut himself slack, he says he needs to have a cause to rally behind, or what that archangel said to him would be proven true: he IS empty. Or at least, useless, which is probably the same thing to him.

What really grabs me about all of this though (besides the usual love of angst and guilt complexes and hero complexes and whatnot) is this future of moral reformation. Those are a pretty common historical phenomenon, often involving moral panics and an emphasis on presentation--- what matters is that you LOOK pure compared to others. And poor Eugene just felt like he couldn't keep up just because he has some small selfish impulses, or something in that nature I'd imagine--- I think he'd rather throw himself off a bridge than admit whatever the reason was that he didn't fit in in his own world.

It's easy to see his world being our future, in a way. I'd be delighted if terrible oppressive governments and economic systems were torn down in favor of ones that promote equality and universal well being, but currently moral purity is just as much of a trend as ever--- look at any discussion of book banning, not to mention transphobic legislature, fandom antis and so much more. So this hypothetical future is one where even though the 'right' thing has been done, there's still a subtle form of policing going on to enforce it. Maybe that is successful at keeping cruel practices from coming back. Or maybe it's just traumatizing people like Eugene who feel judged by their every action and pressured to be a saint every single moment of their lives.

One last thing I thought was interesting--- as part of his level 4 friendship rank, Eugene mentions how his parents' generation still seem scarred by the cruelties they endured before this reformation. But Eugene is too young to have lived through it himself so you know what that means?? Generational trauma babyyyyy. He's inherited guilt about a time he wasn't even alive for, along with a pressure to make sure it never ever happens again, so no unkindness is tolerated. It's no wonder this boy has so many issues.

So that's my late night rambles about this guy, probably like 50% of this is just me projecting but it's also fun to dissect what's happening here. Like I said before, it's unusual to see a unique concept like character like Eugene and his world in what appears to be a fun little indie game about turning into monsters with cassettes.

"love and marriage" - hooray for kwang getting a personality and backstory, and hawkeye and trapper trying to make amends for frank

absolutely bananas that the officers hear a fight happening outside with a shot fired and collectively ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and keep playing. henry you are in charge. someone could be dead

"big mac" - i loved the opening in the o.r.! sometimes it gets a little mean-spirited in there, but this is a light-hearted day at the office where everyone in the room gets to laugh out loud as frank walks right in the teeth of it for literally no reason

i am enjoying the ongoing bit of hawkeye or trapper saying hello to frank and him responding to an insult they haven't said

hot lips's little "frank, they'll kill you." she's not even trying to defend him. she has given up against the overwhelming tide

the casual revelation in "payday" that henry has an open question in his mind about whether or not he's radar's father is a late-breaking reveal i'm gonna think about for a while

colonel flagg. hmm. his first episode was pretty funny because of the spy vs spy thing, but spy vs self was a dud

hmm eve was in highschool when they started looking for jobs, they wanted to get a head start on job searching (and they were technically late already) and it started to consume their life and they neglected school (which is why they even wanted to get a job in the first place, so they could support themselves during college) and dropped out

the parasite vagabond attached to their back was a vagabond that they were supposed to claim the bounty for, but ended up fucking up and the vagabond was able to attach itself to eve

as for deco!!! erm. when they got out of the room, the first person they met was vergil and vergil offered to support them and help get baby's first job (being a magical girl) and sent them to the denizen district to go live in a apartment

this is unbeknownst to dante, she was too busy being a freak

but then after what i'll dub "the swan's serenade" incident, where deco and eve directly saw a person turn into a vagabond in real time, they became wanted criminals (oops! so now both of them are running from district to district hotel hopping and hoping no-one that's a high enough leveled magical girl will recognize them from the bounties while cashing in on some bounties themselves)

I have been watching TLOVM with my brother and I AM SO FILLED WITH D&D INSPIRATION so some details about Fannar's D&D verse here

Fannar is a tiefling druid, largely reclusive and often shunned by other people due to his heritage. He is plagued by the winds speaking to him in an unknown language, urging him to wander; he is trying his best to settle down and create a sacred land for himself, but the winds always seem to find him again.

Fannar is a tefling druid (in my actual campaign he uses the virtue name Heimi ("Home") - ofc bc, Fannar Heimisson haha. I play 3.5 rather than 5e incase anything is 3.5 specific here o(--(

As a child, Fannar would sit out in the highlands filling book after book with the stories he could hear carried on the wind. He accumulated dozens of notebooks filled with stories - of adventure, loss, greed, and everything in between. He took to the outdoors mainly as whatever voices he thought he could hear in the wind provided company he was otherwise lacking in his life.

His mother was a tiefling, his father a human - but upon learning that tieflings breed true and that his son would be born as a tiefling, his father abandoned them. And so, Fannar grew up with only his mother, though they were both treated coldly in the predominantly human society in which they lived.

With time, he realized that although he wasn’t sure which way the winds would blow, they would always find their way back to him. As the years passed, he was able to gain some control of them, and the more time he spent in nature, devoting himself to connecting with the outdoors, the more he was able to harness its power.

It came with a drawback, though - as his connection to the land increased, he began to experience physical pain as it was exploited for more and more resources. It primarily affected his chest, where scars would form like roots of trees and he’d feel he was choking on ash.

Despite these pains, Fannar has a strong constitution: braced by the cold and the forceful winds.

Nature is wild, and it can be harsh and unforgiving: Fannar can be fiery in his desire to protect his land. He would do anything for the nature that he knows as his home, to the point of being self-sacrificial. He feels little connection to other people, but spares no mercy for those who treat the land - and by extension, him - with malice.

This stirred in him a fierce drive to protect the nature around him, and it is what spurred him to set out as an adventurer. He believes that the winds will lead him where he needs to go, to learn how best to protect the land he loves so dearly.

Fannar's decision to leave his mother and his hometown was not an easy one, as - despite the poor treatment they faced living in the town - she was really the only person he had. But as he got older and his connection to nature grew, he found that the longer he spent in the town, the more his body ached. Fannar could not understand why the pain would only subside as he stepped out into nature, but as the pain grew it became clear there was no way he could remain in any town.

He was startled to one day meet a man on his travels that was speaking wind-whispers. The man spoke of The Shalm, and Fannar is sure that he did not imagine the fleeting look of understanding as he explained the mysterious pains he so often felt. Before they could part, Fannar asked about the language he spoke: druidic. It was then he realised the path he was to follow.

He rushed home to put his books into safekeeping and prepare himself, and then he left to see where the winds would take him.

anyways here’s his sheet and here my reasoning behind everything! (and if you see any mistakes in this sheet no you don’t)

so Moody Blues is a support stand but it’s canon that Abbaccio is the physically strongest member of the Bucci Gang. that in mind i’ve decided to make him a buff af martial attacker, with all his spells and such being more geared towards tracking, subterfuge, and general support

i went fallen aasimar for Abba’s race bc i wanted to lean hard into the “made one big mistake that ruined his life” aspect of his backstory. aasimar can actually change their subrace to fallen bc of One Big Mistake or turning evil or w/e! i imagine he was a protector aasimar previously.

for his background i went w city watch for obvious reasons. the feature, watcher’s eye, lets him easily id the lawful and criminals organizations in new locations and makes it easier to get in w them. for his background bonus languages i just went w a few common ones

i went paladin for his primary class bc 1: it’s a v lawful class, v good for a cop. 2: it’s possible to change your subcalass if you break your oath. i’m thinking he was oath of the crown pre-canon bc it’s v Protect the land Protect the people. oath of the watcher is technically for fighting off creatures from other planes, but it’s got a lot of abilities for detecting/tracking down things so i think it fits Moody Blues’ powers

the tenets of oath of the watchers are: discipline, vigilance, and loyalty. just replace ‘discipline’ & ‘vigilance’ with ‘Bucciarati’ and bam! there’s Abba’s character motive lol

i had him multiclass into inquisitive rogue bc it gets him a few extra skills i think he needs +a couple more abilities to help sus things out

Just finished season 2 of Glitch Techs SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET

Okay so this season was AMAZING. The animation was as smooth and beautiful as the first season. The humor was pretty good too. I laughed and replayed a couple of parts which is rare because most cartoon jokes are corny.

I wanted some Five angst because I have to see my favorite characters suffer (I dont know why😀). We got more of his backstory than thought we were getting this early. How his birthday was ruined and his whole relationship with his dad. I like how his father isn't evil (so far) or dead. It's a nice spin on things.

And he kicked ASS this season!

On episode 7 (I think) when he climbed the HUGE fighting glitches to try to contact Miko? When he showed his genius all throughout the season? *chef kiss* beautiful.

Miko made me a little mad occasionally but nothing too bad. I DON'T THINK SHE'S A GLITCH ANYMORE. So Young Phil was starting to catch on to some pretty shady stuff going on with Hinobi but before anything could be done about it, they wiped his memory. However, he managed to make a recording and vaguely informed Old Phil that something is going on.

And Young Phil hid that recording in an extremely well place. Not only was B.I.T.T. unable to delete it but he also had to go through a lengthy process to get the 'ingredients'. The only way anyone was going to find that recording was if they either knew/saw Phil hide it there or a complete freak accident like what happened in the episode. Phil is lazy sometimes but he's SMART. I want to see more of that next season.
