Moonwater idea:

Regulus and Sirius make up and start being more present in eachother’s lives(yay!)

Because of that, each of their group of friends start interacting more

One day, Sirius sees Regulus and Remus talking excitedly with eachother about a book they both like and BAM

He’s hit with one of the best ideas he ever had

What if… he set them up?

On his mind he thinks it’s perfect. Remus and Regulus have lots of things in common, Sirius loves them both, they would be very happy together and… they could go in double dates (you can decide with who he’s with, but I like to imagine it’s Gideon Prewett)

So Sirius recruits James and Peter to the operation “Romulus”

(“Wait” Peter says “Shouldn’t it be ‘Remulus’ then? Where did that ‘o’ came from?

“No, it’s ‘Romulus’. You know, because of ‘Remus and Romulus’”

“Are you sure of it, mate? That doesn’t make a lot of sense” James questions.

“Yeah” Peter agrees “Wouldn’t ‘Moonsekeer’ make more sense?”

“Ohh, that’s a very pretty name, Wormy”

“Right? Feels romantic”

“No, it’s my brother, my operation, so I decide the name and it’s ‘Romulus’”

“But-“

“‘Romulus”)

Anyway, the plan to get Remus and Regulus together starts and it’s very much on the style of those old movies of kids trying to set their parents up

(Tell me that Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap doesn’t remind you of Sirius. I dare you)

Anyway, the plan is in motion, but what they don’t know it’s that Remus and Regulus already like eachother, but are afraid that if they act upon this feelings they are going to ruin the growing friendship they have with eachother and their relationship with Sirius

Shenanigans happen, going from the basic ‘lock them up together in a room’ to ‘accidentally destroying a horcrux’ and yet, nothing of them getting together (well, a kiss happened, but they don’t know that happened, so the ‘Romulus’ group don’t think any progress was made)

It all cames to a lovely conclusion with baby Harry(yeah, they took THAT long to get together, but to be honest, they had to stop Voldy, so it kinda took some time of the planning) being the responsible for them to finally admit their feelings and start dating

(Harry was well rewarded with position of ring bearer in the wedding, along with baby Luna being the flower girl and his godfather eternal gratitude)

𝗔 𝗪𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗧 𝗕𝗨𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗘𝗦

So, I’ve been reading a lot of Wizarding World OC fanfics lately, mostly on Wattpad, and have since fallen back into a rabbit hole of thinking about this amazing universe. Harry Potter was one of the very first fandoms I was in, and despite everything and how much I despise and renounce She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, I still love it and I don’t really think I’ll ever stop.

Anyways, as a result of my falling back into my love for this universe, I wound up creating a whole load of plot bunnies for assorted eras, and I thought I’d share them with you guys! I probably won’t wind up making formal intro posts for all of them or anything, but you guys are definitely free to ask me questions about any of them if you want, and I really hope you like my new babies!!

FANTASTIC BEASTS ERA —

Charlotte “Charlie” Fairweather; pureblood, (former) Hufflepuff, poly Newt + Tina ship. Newt’s best friend from Hogwarts who shares his love of creatures and dropped out after he got expelled to follow him in his travels. Seen as the father of all the creatures while Newt’s the mom, and has a special bond with the Mooncalves. Total sassy sweetheart who has a heart of gold but also doesn’t take crap from anyone, and also a distinguished bisexual who’s very proud of herself for landing people as awesome as both Newt and Tina.

Amelia Jameson; half-blood, (former) Horned Serpent, poly Jacob + Queenie ship. American witch who works in the Wand Registration Department and is Tina’s only friend at work, and winds up getting pulled into the whole crazy adventure because of it. Incredibly intelligent and good at reading people, but never became an Auror because she was too scared to put herself into danger. Has had a work crush on Queenie for years, but never thought anything would come of it until she got to spend more time with her and wound up also developing feelings for Jacob (which causes her a great deal of panic for something that winds up having a happy ending).

Sylvia “Sylvie” Miller; pureblood, (former) Wampus, Bunty ship. Tina’s Auror protégé once she gets reinstated in the second movie who gets assigned to shadow her in her hunt for Grindelwald. Doesn’t see what Tina sees in Newt at all but then becomes a total hypocrite by falling head over heels for Bunty the moment she sees her. Kind of closed-off and over everything all the time, but also a secret lesbian disaster. Incredible when it comes to defensive magic and shield charms.

RIDDLE ERA —

Ptolemus Lovegood; pureblood, Ravenclaw, Tom Riddle ship. Exists in an AU where Tom never becomes Voldemort. Luna’s ancestor who definitely lives up to the Lovegood name, very dreamy and a bit odd, but an incredible artist who creates amazing magical paintings and sculptures. A bit naïve because he mostly lives inside his own head, and gets made fun of a lot by other students. Tom originally gets into a relationship with him because he thinks he can manipulate Ptolemus into helping him in his schemes, but he winds up actually falling in love with him, and Ptolemus slowly helps him overcome his anger and the darkness inside him. Basically this guy is Luna about fifty years in the future, and a bit of a manic pixie dream boy, but we love him anyway.

Sera Malfoy; pureblood, Slytherin, Orion Black ship. Everything you would expect a Malfoy to be - cold, cruel, and arrogant - but never to be made the heir to anything because she’s a woman, which she loathes. Plenty of people at Hogwarts desire her for her beauty, but she never deems anyone good enough for her. Has an on-and-off affair with Orion while he’s already betrothed to Walburga, which is super toxic and messy since Sera is mainly using him to try and get him to drop Walburga so she can be head of the Black household and Orion just wants to have the victory of sleeping with the girl everyone at Hogwarts wants. They actually wind up developing a sort of twisted connection, but break their affair off once Orion and Walburga officially get engaged. Eventually killed by Walburga after she finds out that Sera and Orion slept together one more time after they were already married and Sirius and Regulus were kids. After he moves back into his childhood home, Sirius finds a letter his father wrote to Sera but never sent, and a wrought-iron rose with a snake wrapped around the stem that she gifted him.

MARAUDERS ERA —

Orla Byrne; half-blood, Hufflepuff, Mary Macdonald ship. Daughter of a single mother who doesn’t find out her father was a wizard until she gets her Hogwarts letter, so she knows basically nothing about the wizarding world. Bonds with Mary over being Scottish witches trying to figure out this new world together, which eventually leads to them becoming cute girlfriends. Super sassy for a Hufflepuff and prone to using a lot of curse words. Also becomes besties with Mary’s band of other Gryffindor girls, but also becomes pretty tight with the Marauders, which annoys Lily before she starts returning James’s feelings.

Evelyn “Evie” Prewitt; pureblood, Ravenclaw, Narcissa Black ship. Middle child of that era’s Prewitts - Molly’s older sister and younger than the twins. Almost sorted into Slytherin and definitely showcases it - very ambitious and wants to be a politician. Meets Narcissa after they get paired together for a Charms project and start something of a more-than-friends thing, but they break it off after they graduate and Narcissa marries Lucius even though they genuinely love each other. Evie becomes a high-ranking politician in the Ministry of Magic eventually and never marries anyone else, and they wind up reconnecting and getting back together after Harry defeats Voldemort and Narcissa divorces Lucius when he goes to prison.

Nina Grey; half-blood, Hufflepuff, poly James + Lily ship. Daughter of a pureblood mother and Muggleborn wizard father, has been in ballet classes since she was really little, wanted to be a prima ballerina before she got her Hogwarts letter. Still regularly uses the Room of Requirement as a dance studio to practice her dancing, which is how she meets James when the Marauders run into the Room trying to get away from Filch after pulling a prank. Meets Lily after she sees James and Nina talking and approaches her to tell her to stay away from him, and they become friends, only for James to realize that he’s falling for Nina as well as Lily. Nina has already developed feelings for James and gains them for Lily as well the longer they’re friends, and Lily winds up realizing that she loves Nina about the same time she starts to return James’s feelings, so it’s kind of a whole mess, but they do all end up together in the end. Nina’s a total sweetheart who loves tea and reading and always wears ballet flats - basically she’s very soft-girl core and I love her.

Zachary Alonso; Muggleborn, Gryffindor, Remus ship. Son of Mexican-American Muggles/No-Majs who moved to the UK shortly after his tenth birthday, so he gets his Hogwarts letter instead of going to Ilvermorny. A bit of an outcast in his own dorm room for his first few years at Hogwarts since the Marauders are so close, but becomes friends with them in fourth year after he helps them pull off a prank. Becomes a lynx Animagus with the rest of the crew and gains the nickname Sharptooth. Only gets together with Remus towards the end of seventh year, but they’re a very sweet couple. Kind of a stereotypical Gryffindor - never backs down from a challenge, always wants to protect people, and would do very nearly anything for the people he cares about.

Clarissa Yeng; half-blood, Slytherin, Marlene McKinnon ship. Daughter of a wealthy wizarding family who are just outside of the Scared Twenty-Eight and who have sort of fallen from grace after her father married a Muggleborn witch. Determined to restore her family’s reputation, so she acts like a prime pureblood Slytherin, cold and ruthless and proud. Develops something of a rivalry with Marlene over outdoing each other in the Gryffindor-Slytherin shared classes that eventually turns to secret makeout sessions and, later, genuine romance. Naturally brutally honest and not very expressive, but also really touch-starved and craves genuine love and genuinely tries to be a better person once she and Marlene get together.

GOLDEN TRIO ERA —

Mariela Gomez; Muggleborn, (former) Thunderbird, poly Sirius + Remus ship. Transplant from America who becomes the new Muggle Studies professor in the Trio’s third year and winds up becoming very close to Remus. Winds up following him to the Shrieking Shack to help free Sirius and is kind of hurt upon seeing them interacting and realizing that they’re still in love because she was sort of developing feelings for Remus, but keeps in touch with him after he leaves Hogwarts and helps Sirius while he’s hiding out in his cave, and realizes she has feelings for both of them. Joins the Order once it gets back together and has a whole proper confession with her two boys right before the Battle of Hogwarts, and they officially get together after (because of course Sirius and Remus live, what do you take me for?). Incredibly caring and would do anything to protect her students, but also has no tolerance for people who are assholes to her or anyone else about being a Muggleborn - she winds up taking a lot of points off of Slytherin and makes an enemy of Snape because of it.

Lunella “Luna” Warbeck; pureblood, Ravenclaw, Marcus Flint ship. Daughter of the famous witch singer Celestina Warbeck, and is the exact opposite of her mother, very quiet and withdrawn. A very talented singer, however, and writes her own songs which are all really lovely. Meets Flint because she likes to sit in the Quidditch stands to write and winds up accidentally sitting in on a whole Slytherin team practice before anyone notices her. Gets accused of spying for Ravenclaw, which of course she isn’t, but Flint still invites her to the next practice as a way to show off and stick it to Ravenclaw, and then keeps inviting her and interacting with her until they eventually develop feelings. She winds up making him a better person and stopping him from joining the new Death Eaters after Hogwarts, and they actually get to have a happy ending together.

Hecate Lovegood; pureblood, Gryffindor, Fred ship. Luna’s older sister, but instead of getting bullied, goes mostly ignored by Hogwarts’s population. Autistic and only semi-verbal, so she rarely talks, and has a talent for creating enchanted jewelry. Makes friends with the twins after she lies to help get them out of trouble for a prank and abruptly becomes kind of a popular by osmosis, with a bunch of people wanting to buy her jewelry. Stays at Hogwarts after the twins drop out, but when they open Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes they offer her a whole section to sell her jewelry. She and Fred officially get together after the Battle of Hogwarts (because he lives, of course). Very much like Luna in terms of personality, but also a bit more snarky than her when someone’s being a bellend.

Zain Ahmad; half-blood, Hufflepuff, Oliver Wood ship. Hufflepuff Quidditch captain who has been Quidditch rivals with Oliver since they both started playing. Possibly the grumpiest and most sarcastic person to ever get into Hufflepuff, but still an amazing captain who’s loved by all of their players. Has the classic rivals-to-lovers thing with Oliver, but retires from Quidditch after they graduate and takes a job at the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office. Kind of an asshole with a heart of gold, doesn’t really show they care but always goes out of their way to do quietly nice things for people and would die for those they care about.

Nova Brackley; Muggleborn, Slytherin, Draco ship. A total outcast in Slytherin by virtue of being Muggleborn, but doesn’t really give a shit and can very often be seen flipping off their housemates. Incredibly talented at healing magic and sort of becomes Madam Pomfrey’s apprentice starting third year, and first meets Draco when they’re healing up his broken rib from a Quidditch game. The two of them bicker a lot because Draco feels like he has to be mean to them to keep up his reputation and Nova is not willing to take any of his shit, but they actually wind up falling in love eventually. They break up briefly after Nova can’t stop Draco from following his family into the Death Eaters (some of Draco’s angst in the sixth movie also comes from missing them), but they reconnect after the Battle of Hogwarts and eventually get back together, and Nova becomes a Healer at St. Mungo’s. Nova is basically Rosa Diaz incarnate, stone-faced and tough and not giving a shit what people think of them, but they’re also pretty funny and sweet once you actually get to know them, and they’re incredibly loyal.

Godric Marshe; pureblood, Gryffindor, Cedric ship. Named after Godric Gryffindor, of course, but very definitely doesn’t live up to his name because he basically has Neville’s relationship with magic, except his never gets better. Kind of an outcast and gets bullied a lot, and when Cedric approaches him after he’s been crushing on him for years, Godric definitely thinks it’s either a cruel joke or just the Hogwarts golden boy taking pity on him and trying to do the right thing. Rejects Cedric’s attempts at friendship for the longest time, but eventually they genuinely become friends and boyfriends later. Very quiet and insecure due to his lack of magic, but an amazing writer who slowly comes out of his shell thanks to Cedric and eventually becomes a novelist.

Allegra Pennyworthy; pureblood, Slytherin, Neville ship. Daughter of the Sacred Twenty-Eight but supports Muggleborns and doesn’t give a shit about doing what her family wants, and is something of an outcast from Slytherin because of it. Offers to help Neville in Potions since it’s her best subject, and falls him love with him through that. Eventually becomes Hogwarts’s new Potions professor when Neville takes over Herbology. A total badass, fierce and protective and cunning and never afraid to speak her mind; Neville both adores her her and fears her a little bit, and he’s basically the only person she lets herself be soft around.

Penelope Barker; Muggleborn, Gryffindor, Cho ship. A she/they partner for Cho because she deserved better. Technically Muggleborn, but was adopted by a wizard couple when she was a baby so they’ve always been familiar with the wizarding world. Much more focused on playing Quidditch than on academics, but is still best friends with Hermione and generally relies on her tutoring to pass her classes. Falls in love with Cho pretty much the very first time they see her on the Quidditch pitch, and spends years pining over her until they get to talking at the Yule Ball (Cho went by herself instead of with Cedric), and follows her into Dumbledore’s Army the next year until eventually they kiss after a meeting. Becomes a professional Quidditch player after Hogwarts, on the same team Ginny leads. Incredibly sweet but also super awkward and clumsy off of the Quidditch pitch, regularly tripping over her tongue and her own feet. Becomes a godparent to Hermione and Ron’s kids.

"Can you two behave? I really wanna get this done before she gets out of class." I mutter to Harry and Ron who wander helplessly around the common room, occasionally reaching out to fix a streamer but overall not being much of a help.

"You haven't given us nearly enough instructions." Ron whines, flopping down onto the seat as I arrange Hermione's presents perfectly along the fireplace mantel.

"Do you need a manual?" I snap, feeling anger and annoyance bubble in my veins at the realization that they don't care how this party turns out and that they truly just want to do the bare minimum. And after the year that she's had, no way will she have a horrible birthday party.

"We're not good at this like you are. We don't know how to decorate-"

"Or wrap presents." Harry points out with wide eyes, nudging Ron beside him who agrees. I make my way to my feet, folding my arms sternly over my chest as I look at the boys.

"Yeah, she's not our girlfriend."

"If you don't help, I'll personally tell Hermione that you whined like babies and that neither of you wanted her to have a great party." Their faces pale at my threat and I finally feel as if I'll finally get some help after days of running around and planning. I know they love her, and that they love me, but for two boys who have collectively saved the world, they're so lazy.

"Fine." Harry drags Ron to the other side of the room where I hear Ron whisper under his breath.

"Bloody mean, ain't she?" I chuckle to myself before signing, looking around the room one last time to compare what we have completed to my mental list.

"I just want some more streamers and more candles. I've already got Luna on cake duty and Neville is picking up some of her favorite food-"

"Y/n?" My head whips around to see Hermione standing in the doorway and Harry and Ron look up immediately, face dropping at the sight of her a few hours early.

"Hermione..." I pause, looking around the room as she does the same, a huge grin spreading across her lips as she reads the 'Happy Birthday' sign hung on the wall. "Happy birthday, beautiful." She hops down the stairs and into my arms, letting out a breath of relief as she clings to me and whispers.

"Thank you."

Ooooh. Very interesting! I feel like Snarry gets a lot of hate from people who don't actually ship it, but since plenty of people do ship it...that's probably not the right answer. 😂

I suppose I'm thinking of this question as "ships I like that others disdain" but really it could just be me, the lone shipper. 😂 So what rare pairs do I really like? 🤔 And which of those are the strangest, and raise the most brows?

So...I really like Draco/Viktor. (The Lemniscate, or the Nature of Infinity.) Which I don't see near enough of. But that's fairly tame compared to the other names I'm about to drop 🤣 Because I also really need more Draco/Voldemort in my life. (Seasons Change, and So Do We!!!!)

And, because incest is reviled for whatever reason 🤨(🤣) I reaaaaally dig Malfoycest. Specifically Draco/Lucius (Passage to Eden), though I'm extra into Scorpius/Draco/Lucius (Holding On.)

*** Oh! Oh oh oh! I almost forgot. The one het ship I actually am hecka into. That there isn't enough of. And has never earned me anything but raised eyebrows: Luna/Hagrid. Listen. Age gap + size kink. And also a shared love of animals. It's adorable and sexy at the same time. But I can also appreciate Luna/Ollivander. Age gap + shared trauma/forced captivity, hellooooo.

Ahh, hate is such a strong word! Off the top of my head...canon het ships 🤣 But I know plenty of people who dislike those.

The best answer I can give is this: I have a weird attachment to my OTP and I struggle to see Harry or Snape paired with others! Though this has become easier with time and chats with all my multi-shipper friends. But the one ship I have the hardest time with, that is hugely popular, is Drarry.

Now, I don't hate Drarry. I just don't see it. Like, on paper it looks good. Enemies to lovers?? I'm always into that! And c'mon they look hecka cute together. (And for mrpeg enjoyers: think of the green-eyed blond babies!!!!) But...I just get 0 chemistry from them. And don't really see a feasible working relationship.

Even for Harry and Snape paired with others, there are ships I can admit to being intrigued by. Draco/Snape? Hot. Neville/Snape? Also hot. Harry/Sirius? Super hot. Harry/Tom | Voldemort???? Yes that's awesome. I wish I could ship Tomarrymort because that seems super hot and complicated and weird and fascinating, with so much to play with and explore!!!!

But Drarry? I don't know. I wish it made more sense to me. As friends? 100%, sign me up. As romantic partners? Idk. Clearly there's something there, considering how well loved it is! It just doesn't compute in my brain!

But again: no hate. Just "meh." (But RIP me because Drarry creators are stellar.)

Usually, people keep it short and sweet, but she appreciates that he goes into more detail. It means a lot to Daisy. "Wow… I feel like I just read your entire Wiki page," she playfully winks at him. "Well, Harry, I think it's awesome that you seem like such a family person. Sadly, not many people are these days, and I bet your older sister loves knowing her baby brother likes to protect her," she says sincerely. Flipping the bacon, Daisy pauses, unsure of where to begin. "Hmm… I have to admit, my life isn't as exciting as yours. I sadly have no siblings, but I do have two of the most wonderful parents in the world. My mom is my best friend, and my dad is my biggest cheerleader. I was born in 1998 in Islington, London. I grew up in the Youth National Theatre group and got my first acting gig on a little series called 'Cold Feet.' My dad is the Director of Sky Arts entertainment. He got me into my love for acting by constantly taking me to his sets, and well, I just fell in love with everything about entertainment. I'm an actress, obviously," she gives him a smile and chuckle. "Umm… I love to write and take photos. I have this old vintage camera that I take everywhere with me. I’m still new at this writing thing, and I honestly didn’t expect to write as much as I did this year: six fics on AO3 (Vortex, though posted in January, was written entirely in 2019) and, recently, a bunch of microfics on Tumblr. Here are my five faves in no particular order, because I love all my fic babies and I’m proud of the work and thought I put into them. And for your reading pleasure, all-new, silly summaries!

Follow the Water (H/D Wireless Fest) 38K, Rated T. That summer when Harry spends his Saturdays in the Devonshire countryside with Luna and the Slytherin friends she’s taken under her wing. Picnics! Hiking! Bisexual awakenings! Luna being an absolute angel with strange ideas about food! Draco in a wet T-shirt! Fairies!

On Your Shore (H/D Sex Fair) 35K, Rated M. So maybe Harry has a tiny little crush on Draco. Surely spending a week together in an isolated location with a house full of cursed knick-knacks won’t make things worse, right? Oh, shit. There’s only one bed. And there’s something that Draco’s been hiding from Harry. And where’d that cat come from?

Lockdown Lurgy (the lockdown fic that I didn’t have time to write during the Lockdown Fest, but was still relevant because lockdown is never-ending) 15K, Rated T. There’s a magic pandemic, but it’s funny? Well, the pandemic isn’t funny, but two boys who are still trying hard to be assholes to each other (but quietly!) while sharing a bedroom is. Crimson Neon (Taste of Smut Fest) 20K, Rated M. Harry’s homesick and miserable in New York City. Draco’s teaching himself to cook all his favorite British comfort foods in his little apartment kitchen, which happens to be in the same Upper West Side building where Harry lives. This was my first full year as a fandom creator, and so much of the joy of writing this year has been tied to finding the amazing and supportive Drarry community here and on Discord. Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, DC comics, Miraculous Ladybug, Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra, Star Wars, Literature, Winx Club, Nintendo, Minecraft, Little Witch Academia, Voltron, Coraline

Details:

Harry Potter- I got into Harry Potter in 7th grade and now I am the resident expert in my family and in my friend group. I read all the books, watched all the movies (notably the British version), and I've seen the Fantastic Beasts films as well. I've also read Tales of Beedle the Bard (the Warlock's Hairy Heart was traumatizing) along with the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them textbook (plus an updated edition). I also read The Cursed Child script and while I mean no hate to anyone that liked it, I hated what it did to the canon. I am in Hufflepuff with some Ravenclaw tendencies (I took the Pottermore quiz 3 times, 2 out of 3 I got Hufflepuff, the other time was Ravenclaw). I had a pottermore account and I was so upset when it got converted to the Wizarding World page. I cosplayed Hermione in 7th grade complete with British accent and even monologued as her for a talent show (classmates and teachers would recognize me as the Hermione girl all the way through high school). I was obsessed and I still love it even if J.K. Rowling has gone off the deep end on Twitter... yeah... my favorite character is Hermione but I also relate to Luna

Disney- there's so much that goes into the Disney part of my fandom list. I'm excluding Marvel and Star Wars from this part as they were originally separate entities before Disney got the rights to them. I have seen almost every animated Disney film ever and often use random movie quotes in conversation. My favorite villain is Maleficent, my favorite princess is Ariel (followed by Belle, Rapunzel, and Anna). I relate to so many of the characters. I'm not sure who my favorite Pixar character is though (I love Violet, Sadness, Dory, and Piper (from the short)). My favorite Disney fairy is Fawn. My favorite characters overall are Ariel and Stitch. Disney is definitely on the list as one of my biggest obsessions. My favorite movies are Lilo and Stitch, the Little Mermaid, Inside Out, Alice in Wonderland (original), and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Marvel- I mostly get my Marvel exposure through the MCU, other movies, and animated TV shows. I have difficulty reading graphic novels so most of my comic book knowledge comes from friends, posts, or wikis. My favorite characters are Spider-Man, Captain America, Peggy Carter, and Scarlet Witch. I also like Gwenpool, Deadpool, Spider-Gwen/ Ghost-Spider, Venom, Squirrel Girl, Daredevil, Mantis, Gamora, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Loki, Bucky, Black Panther, and most MCU characters. Out of the X-men I really like Professor X, Wolverine, Mystique, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Quicksilver (either version- MCU or Fox).

DC- this was the franchise I was more familiar with growing up but again, graphic novels aren't easy for me to read so most of my knowledge comes from information pages about the comics or from tv/movies. My earliest experience with DC came from the 60s Batman series, with Catwoman and Robin being my favorites. I also watched the Wonder Woman series from the 70s and a handful of CW shows, my favorite of which being the Flash and Arrow. I also managed to watch all 5 seasons of the Teen Titans Cartoon Network series from 2003. With that being said, my favorite characters are Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Flash, Batman, Nightwing/Robin (Dick Grayson), Green Arrow, Starfire, Raven, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Alfred. I also like most of the bat family, and when it comes to CW I LOVE Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost and Cisco.

Miraculous- this is one of my guilty fandoms but since this is Tumblr I'm not too worried about it. I love Marinette and I relate to her on an astoundingly deep level (minus the stalking and obsession with potential lovers, that's creepy). If I had a miraculous, I'd probably want the Ladybug one, but the Cat miraculous, fox miraculous, and snake miraculous are good too. My favorite character is Marinette/Ladybug.

Atla/Tlok- I jumped on the avatar bandwagon just when it was starting to get popular, so I managed to get through the series before the memes took over everything. Same with Tlok, although i couldn't completely avoid the spoilers for that when i started it. I've been wanting to get into the comics because of the short story comics I've read, they seem easier to read than superhero comics. My favorite characters are Aang, Katara, Ty Lee, Iroh, Korra, Jinora, Asami, Suki, Appa, Momo, Naga, and Pabu. I also like Sokka, Mai, Zuko, Lin, Kuvira, Varrick, Zhu Lee, and Azula. I feel really sorry for her and while I understand that a redemption arc would undermine the importance of her corruption arc, I still wish she could have one. I would love to be a waterbender or an airbender... maybe a waterbender raised in the air nation? Obviously, being the avatar itself would be awesome. The show has taught me a lot of great lessons and put a lot of stuff into perspective for me.

Star Wars- oh boy, talking about this one is dangerous. I've seen firsthand the horrors of the Star Wars fandom but then again no one will probably see this anyway so... I've seen all the movies and I remember watching the clone wars series with my brother when I was younger but we fell wayyy behind and it's taking us forever to get back into it. I've also seen the Mandalorian and quite enjoyed it. I like the prequels unironically, in fact, the prequels are some of my favorite movies. I especially like how they switched from lightsabers being heavy weapons to light weapons that can be used for all kinds of tricks that make for epic battles like the ones we see in Revenge of the Sith. The sequels were fun to watch but when I would analyze them along side their predecessors, I came to the conclusion that, for me, they were good to watch but did not do anything good for the rest of the franchise. My favorite characters are prequels/clone wars Obi Wan and Anakin, Padme, Ashoka, Leia, R2D2, BB-8, R4-P17, the Mandalorian (Din Djarin), and Grogu. If I had a lightsaber I'd want it to be blue, but when I was little I got a purple one like Mace Windu because it was closer to pink and I was into pink at the time. I still have that lightsaber and none of my friends have a purple one so it's one of my flexes. I feel like I wouldn't make a good jedi because of attachments being forbidden, so I'd probably become a grey jedi.

Literature- this is a broad term I use to cover all the random books and stories I liked reading and have studied. So we have Shakespeare (Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet), The Great Gatsby (bored while reading, loved to analyze), Grendel (HATED reading, loved to analyze, Grendel really needed a hug and a friend), The Crucible, Fahrenheit 451, Dark Life (+ the sequel Riptide, both are by Kat Falls good reads, sci-fi and kind of dystopian), The Once and Future King

Winx Club- I think the show is trashy but I still love watching it. I haven't been able to get through season 6 though and I hated what they did with season 8 and Fate: the Winx Saga. My favorite character is Bloom along with Stella and Flora. I prefer rai to nick. My favorite transformations are magic winx, enchantix, and harmonix. My favorite member of the Trix is Icy followed by Darcy. My favorite Pixies are Chatta and Lockette.

Nintendo- mainly Pokémon above all else, followed by Animal Crossing. I have also played (mostly as player 2 or just never beat or watched my brother play) mario games, legend of zelda, pikmin, and kirby. Games I haven't played but I just liked the characters/the lore and probably learned about through Super Smash Bros. are Fire Emblem (Lucina mostly), Metroid (Samus and baby metroid), and Kid Icarus. Pokémon is where I'm most knowledgeable but you'll most likely beat me in battle. I am however great at MarioKart and I always destroy my friends at it. Terrible at fighting games though.

Minecraft- I like playing this casually. Sure, I'll play for hours and hours on end for months, but I prefer to stay exclusively in peaceful when playing Survival mode and I don't make anything too ambitious in Creative mode. I like to write, so sometimes I'll make a rough layout of the settings of my stories in different worlds. I prefer interior design and decorating when building, and when in survival mode I focus more on mining and gathering while my brother works on ambitious building projects. I just bring him the raw materials and furnish the interior when he finishes the outside.

Little Witch Academia- this takes up a smaller portion of my fandom list because there were only 2 seasons and a couple movies and I watched the whole series years ago, but I still enjoy it. At one point I wanted to cosplay Akko, and I loved the nod at Twilight through the Nightfall series. And I especially liked the twist that Shiny Chariot was Ursula, which I suspected for some time. The blend between magic and technology was fun to see, but I was so sad that the series ended RIGHT when Akko finally showed signs of magic proficiency. Also, Shiny Chariot being the reason Akko couldn't do magic was heartbreaking.

Voltron- this takes up a much smaller portion of my fandom list mainly because I haven't even finished it. I know hardly anything about Transformers aside from the Bumblebee movie so to me I just watch it for fun. It reminds me of power rangers, star wars, and star trek, and then there's just a transformer insert. But I don't know anything about Transformers so maybe the show is more rooted in canon than I think.

Coraline- I am in a love-hate relationship with Coraline. I have watched the movie several times, I've read the book, I've watched hours of theories and analyses on youtube, I've watched behind the scenes videos by Laika, and I even wrote a script for a fan film parody. I am amazed at how original the story is and how impressive the stop motion animation is but I also have recurring nightmares from it and it scares me/creeps me out to the max. If anyone asks what my scariness limit is, it's definitely Coraline.

The fact that he hadn't really flown since a career-ending injury had put an abrupt end to his Quidditch fame two years ago, for another. His ridiculous, teenage crush on Teddy Lupin, his friend and Hogwarts' newest Charms professor, perhaps most of all.

An Interlude [Lavender/Victoire | Explicit | 4.9k] Victoire is supposed to be chasing a serial killer, not shagging her uncle’s dead ex-girlfriend.

Mint & Apples [Harry/Teddy | Explicit | 4.3k] Teddy Lupin's not-quite-wolf has chosen Harry Potter as his mate, that's all. He hasn't got a crush on his best friend's father, really. He also definitely isn't obsessed with Harry Potter's scent.

This is Love [Albus Severus/Scorpius | Explicit | 24.8k] Most of Albus’s bad life decisions can be summed up in a word: James. When he got a shitty tattoo in the Fifth Year—done by some bloke in a dirty flat—well, that was James’s idea. When he got picked up by Aurors for doing hallucinogens—James was the one who’d convinced him to do them at a party. That time they stole the flying motorbike Dad gave to Teddy—James was the one who insisted it was a rite of passage to drive it over London at dawn. Neither Dad nor Teddy was impressed with that explanation. Now, here Albus is living another bad choice that was born of James’s influence.

Today on “an oddly specific fic trope that I absolutely adore and would do anything for more of”:

Any story where Harry Potter gets adopted, kidnapped, saved, or otherwise taken in by an awesome character, with bonus points if it’s a character from an alternate series. (This can be by complete accident, intentionally, or because he finds out his parent(s) is someone other that James and/or Lily). My favorites I’ve come across so far:

- Harry getting adopted by Tony Stark, growing up learning about technology, and later learning about magic and realizing “Ohhhh...that’s why my dad’s tech always went haywire.” Bonus points if Tony gets overly involved in Hogwarts chaos and also invents technology that works alongside Harry’s magic due to accidental magic that kept blowing out the power in the lab.

- The Doctor (any incarnation, but bonus points if it’s Ten) showing up at Number 4 by “accident”, and either the TARDIS refuses to leave until he investigates, or the Sonic picks up weird energy from Harry’s magic so he investigates anyway. (Whether the Doctor KNOWS about magic or not, it’s just super cool to think about Harry being whisked away to go on awesome adventures until Hogwarts somehow magically comes a-knocking on their blue door.) BONUS bonus points if Sirius and/or Remus get involved because the Doctor gets so fixated on trying to figure out who Harry is, that he figures out Sirius is innocent and tries to clear his name.

- Remus refusing to give up when Dumbledore hides Harry away from him, going deep into research, figuring out Sirius is innocent, and breaking into the Dursleys’ house to save Harry. (Or alternatively, Sirius breaks out early, convinces Remus he’s innocent, and everything gets better form there!) (Bonus points for Wolfstar.)

- Harry running away before age 11, somehow coming across the Weasley’s, and revealing to Mrs. Weasley that the Dursley’s were awful enough that when Dumbledore comes a-knocking trying to find him to return him to safety, the entire Weasley family hides Harry to keep him in a happy home. (Bonus points if Harry and Luna become fast friends because she lives near the Burrow.)

- That one fic I found in which Parker from Leverage found Harry on a doorstep that night he was left at the Dursley’s, and jumped into the team’s getaway van with a baby like: “I found it outside, it came with a letter. Also I hate the people in that house, let’s get out of here.” The entire team became his family and taught him crazy stuff, so he grew up in America and it was the best thing ever. (Automatic bonus points because, oh my god, he was raised by thieves and I love it.)

I hope y’all had a chance to spend time with loved ones (virtual or otherwise) and eat some delicious holiday treats :) I’m so late to this party but am excited to reflect on the past year. Thank you to the lovely @xanthippe74, @the-starryknight, @erebeus-roxy, @bluebutter-art, @peachpety, and @skeptiquexx for the tag!! While I’ve been writing in the hp fandom for a bit, this was the year I wrote my longest work and really had the chance to connect with so many wonderful fandom friends <33 

One of my top five favourite fics is currently part of an anonymous fest, so I’ll add it once reveals are posted. In no particular order, these are my top four favourites: 

the god of ghosts and dreams This was one of the first fics I wrote this year and it was such fun! I’d been wanting to do a Hades/Persephone AU, and this prompt from the Ides of Drarry was the perfect opportunity to do so. Harry is Hades and Draco is Persephone and the fic follows the classic tale, with a few changes to fit the sweepstake prompt. 

he touched me, so I live to know  I wrote this for @hd-fan-fair for an absolutely wonderful prompt by @xanthippe74. This fic was super important to me because it was the first time I wrote an ace character. The format of the fic, a 5+1, also gave me the chance to look at a few canon scenes from a fresh perspective. I really enjoyed weaving quotes from the books with my own prose, and would definitely like to try it again sometime. 

Kid Pro Quo This fic was also an important one to me because of the theme it explored: being childless by choice. In the fic, Draco and Harry are getting ready to have a baby with Luna as their surrogate. As the fic progresses, we get to see different people who have chosen not to have children, like Pansy. Ultimately, I wanted to write about why it can be so challenging to not have children in the face of society’s pressure to do so. 

I Will Follow You Into the Dark  This was my first Witcher fic and it was also the first fic I worked with a beta from start to finish (which definitely helped the fic become what it was). It was exciting to play in a new sandbox and explore new characters, something I hope to do more of in the future. 

As a bonus, I’m also including one last little ficlet (more of a drabble really) since a lot of my recent work has been microfics and drabbles. 

bright recursions This was written for the Drarry Discord Writers Corner Drabble Challenge and it was the first time I ever tried to write mcd. It was also the first time I got to write a Fibonacci fic—which is now a format I love to do. Despite the incredibly specific word counts for each section, I find a sense of freedom in the challenge. There’s something freeing when you don’t have to think about format or structure and can just focus on the content of the story. 

This was so much fun! I am a reflective person by nature, so it was nice to have an excuse to muse about my fic writing year.
