My observations from s4 of Umbrella Academy
I dont even wanna talk about the main plot of whatever the fuck that car crash of a season four was, but heres some plot discrepancies I noticed while watching Umbrella Academy.
!! Season four spoilers under the 'see more' !!
- Luther's unnecessary body change
It's stated so clearly in s1 that Luther never gained his body from the marigold or developed it along with his powers. When he was up on that mission on the moon, he had an accident and Pogo had to donate his blood which resulted in Luther having that monkey body we all know and love.
So as Luther drank that said marigold, why would he suddenly gain back the blood donated from pogo and the body that comes along with that..? It's as if the writers themselves forgot why he had that body. Why write in unnecessary body dysphoria for my poor baby?
- Diego's sudden appearance of ab's
Listen. I am the last fucking person to complain about a Diego Hargreeves shirtless scene, where you see his pecs quite literally bounce BUT why did he change so drastically from 'dad bod' to suddenly 'ripped'?
I read an article interview with Steve Blackman and saw a few snippets from a podcast that explained that David (Diego's actor) didn't want to gain weight for the role, which is totally understandable. But if you have an actor who doesn't want to gain weight for this role, why not just keep Diego as fit?
Due to the short six episodes, it's extremely easy to miss how Diego slowly becomes more fit as time progressed. For most, and also myself at first, that fighting scene just looked confusing as fuck. Like two episodes before, Lila was calling you 'tubby' (or whatever the fuck she said), so why do you have abs now?? Where did the dilf diego dad bod disappear to :(
- Allison's beloved Ray just leaving her
I'm not sure if i'm taking this the wrong way completely but... In the scene after Allison had given Klaus the marigold against his wishes, but also to save his life. As Klaus is calling out every member of the family, he mentions how he 'took care of Allison when Ray walked out'.
Like i'm sorry but the fuck do you mean Ray just walked out?? Why did he leave Allison if she had no powers. She'd clearly built a better life for herself and began to change her mindset for the better, compared to s3 she's drastically better.
It's never explained (probably again for the lack of episodes) and it's never even mentioned again. Like does Allison share custody of Claire with Ray? Does Claire even see her father? I have so many questions and once again, a severe lack of answers.
- Klaus breaking his five year sobriety
As much as us as an audience are aware of Klaus' addictive tendencies and his utter thirst for form of drug in the former seasons, but why establish that he's not only been sober for three entire years but he's also now a huge germaphobe just for him to ruin it in five seconds.
The main problem I had with this is the fact none of the siblings, including and most importantly Allison, had zero reaction to this. They weren't upset, angry, disappointed or fuck it even happy. They practically ignored the fact their brothers three year detox went out the window.
Five's ability to time jump
Before I get you all jumping up my arse, i'm fully aware I could discuss how they completely just fucked his character development and his entire personality as a whole for a shitty romance that made absolutely no sense but I'm gonna make a separate post on that because oh boy do I have some shite to say.
ANYWAY.
I can't even go into much detail with this one but why is it that every time five attempts to do his time jumps, he ends up in that subway but when he does it with Lila in that end episode.. he can suddenly just jump..?? normally?? Like why. Why can he now only just time jump as he used too. WHY WAS THE SUBWAY NEEDED FOR OTHER THAN FOR THAT AWFUL FIVE X LILA PLOT????
It's as if the writers couldn't come up with a way to get the brellies into that building with Ben so instead of using critical thinking and writing them breaking in, they just said 'fuck it make him time jump with Lila'. Like no I have questions??

Hi. Sorry if this was asked before or if I missed anything here. If you don't wanna answer it, it's alright.
In regards to Mark Gatiss' "playing with homoeroticism in Sherlock" interview question, is it possible he was talking about Sheriarty/Moriarty, not Johnlock here?
I associate homoerotic subtext mainly with those hero / villain "I need you, I want to destroy you, I want to kill you, but I don't want you to die because I need you, and they may be a deeper reason behind it) dynamics.
Johnlock on the other side, is mostly romantically coded, not sexually. And it's written more like a traditional romance, with the structure and the tropes.
Hey Nonny!
I think you're referencing this interview here? I just reread it, and the part I have seems to just be talking about Sherlock as a whole, and doesn't reference any ship specifically, so I think it's safe to say that I believe it's for everything done for the show. Regardless, in another interview, I believe, post S4, he still admitted to putting it in there to essentially bring in an audience. To me it doesn't matter which pairing it's referencing, it's still kinda awful.
And yeah, I agree re: the romance. But that's the thing... why put it in there at ALL if they weren't going to follow through? It's kinda shady. They could have stopped it in S3. Maybe they didn't realize what they were doing, but I doubt it. Mofftiss, for all their numerous faults are neither dumb nor unaware of what they're putting in their own material. Moffat has put subtext in his shows for years. His run of Dr. Who was full of it. But inevitably, what they did is kept dragging it out and got pissy at the end.
But yeah, that's my very loose take on it. I've written about it before and I still think it's pertinent today.

Do you personally think tedbecca will become canon
Short answer is I dunno but I decided to write a lot of S3 speculation under the cut. I don't have any spoilers for how the show ends, nor do I want any, but I've watched a lot of interviews and read a lot of reviews and what I type will be informed by the not-spoilery-but-suggestive-about-the-overall-arc vibes of those.
Will Ted/Rebecca become a canonical romance? I'm not sure! For basically all of the things I have predictions and/or feelings about for s3 (Ted/Rebecca relationship, Nate's arc, whether Ted stays in London or returns to Kansas in the medium term or "forever"...), I have a suspicious lack of gut feelings...or rather, all my feelings are like a swinging pendulum of deep convictions and I can easily feel convinced of one outcome then another within the span of a few minutes.
Since you're anonymous I have no idea how much press you've listened to, what fandom spaces you're a part of, whether you're a T/R shipper or not, whether I'm friends with you or not, etc. So I'm going to write this without worrying about offending you and just go for it from the heart, haha.
The press has been a little bit of a rollercoaster for me, especially in terms of Hannah Waddingham's remarks about why she sees more longevity in relationships that aren't just the typical romantic/sexual route, and some of the other writer-actors' (Jason, Brendan, Brett) statements about audience expectation and their awareness of fandom preferences vs. the intentions of the story they're telling. I've actually loved a lot of what they've said, and I've been really frustrated by some people in the fandom calling Hannah an idiot for being tired of all the romance questions or for daring to call those expectations social conditioning when to me they very much are social conditioning. (Even if romance can also be a deep and beautiful thing! I don't feel like she's saying romance is lame! She's saying it's frustrating to zoom in on this one thing and value it above all others! And as a result of her saying that people have said awful things about her personal life and intelligence and that's absolutely uncool!)
I think it's completely possible that these interviews are at least in part about setting realistic expectations that a canonical romantic and sexual relationship between T/R isn't something we are gonna see on our TVs. I don't think these answers are coyness or lies. Really grappling with that possibility has bummed me out a bit more than I expected it to, honestly. I think a T/R romance would be super beautiful and wonderful and would make perfect sense within the larger story being told here.
That being said, I also think it's true that none of the press we've seen so far has explicitly spoiled any endings of this show. I don't feel like the interviewees are being coy and winking to fans, but I also think they've all carefully prepared ways of speaking about this show because they know the barrage of questions they'll face and they want to protect their story. When reporters directly ask if the relationship will be canon, they speak to expectations and societal structures and the soulmate connection between these characters without revealing any plot points. When the writers or actors have gotten more opinionated about the possibility of romance, it's often in the context of questions about fandom expectations or what is "expected" or "unexpected" about the story, and I think it's completely fair and understandable to express genuine frustration for the obsessive, repeat nature of those types of questions when there are so many other things these people would probably love to discuss about their writing and acting choices. They're all smart people who are extremely close to each other and have spent years constructing this story, and I can see myself responding to the repetition and surface-level stuff in a similar manner.
We know there's gonna be a huge component of Ted deciding what his commitment to AFC Richmond is and how his relationship with his son and his feelings about the family he's left behind impact that decision. We know they're setting up storylines in which other characters are learning how to coach, learning how to balance the emotional side and the tactical side. We know this is a story that simultaneously grapples with "leaving well"/letting go/why quitting isn't always bad AND with the complications of space AND with why burying or running away from your emotions while they fester inside you for 30 years is, um, bad. We know the writers have not deviated from their original plans for any of these characters even as they've rewritten and redefined certain things about this season. And we know the writers and actors all agree that Ted and Rebecca are divinely connected even if they've said many kinda contradictory things about what form that takes.
Even knowing all that, I think it's still possible that T/R will be a factor in s3 in a romantic and sexual sense. I have basically prepared myself to not see it on screen, but every time I watch the actual show I'm watching a show that sets up delicate, beautiful connecting points for these characters with intention and purpose. Which is awesome no matter what. If they don't go the romantic route onscreen, I think we'll still be watching a meaningful relationship that is full of possibilities (especially since s3 canon will end in, like, spring 2022, not spring 2058 or something). Some of the choices they've made are things that I'd probably only write if I was setting up a canonical romance, but if a romance doesn't happen within the show I don't think that means those choices were inconsequential or, worse, designed specifically to torment and make fun of fans. This is a show that is loving towards its audience but removed from its audience.
One of the first posts I made about this show was a straightbaiting joke. That seems extra funny now, knowing what I know. As a queer woman who has mostly been involved in fandoms as a femslash shipper up to this point, I can say that a lot of the shipping culture around this show and around M/F ships in general makes me really uncomfortable. I watch the joy of the show drain away from people as they focus deeper and deeper on "Tedbecca" (even to the point of ridiculing people for shipping other stuff or not understanding why it could be a fun exercise to write fic about people who will never be together in canon...which...what? the queer history of fandom didn't happen for canon-or-bust to be such a prevailing attitude!). I even feel some of that drain myself, being in an interesting place as an enthusiastic multi-shipper who just so happens to love T/R (and want to see it happen in canon) to the point of modding a whole discord about it. I love T/R and I love that it feels like a thing that is real and true in the text, and that is something I've rarely gotten to be invested in textually speaking as a queer woman accustomed to living off little subtextual crumbs. This show makes me feel both privileged and desperate.
The whole T/R thing, and the literal years of suspense it's implanted in my brain, has been a really fascinating journey for me. I can honestly say I've never had a suspended state of suspense and wonder about a single topic for this long before. I've waited for other things for this long, but they've all been matters in my personal life that I had some level of control over. Even things like election cycles take less time than this. I think the healthiest thing to do in this situation is to protect each of our viewing experiences and to respect that we're watching the creation of artists who are brilliant and lovely and fallible. To take what serves us from the text and continue to play with it all in our own spaces.
Watching 3x1 was a fuckin' delight of an experience that reminded me why I love this show and why I'm willing to experience the lows and highs of disappointments and joys in a way that just feels a lot more raw than basically any viewing experience or fandom experience I've ever had in the past with anything.
THAT WAS PROBABLY SO MUCH MORE THAN YOU BARGAINED FOR. YOU ASKED A YES/NO QUESTION AND GOT A DIARY ENTRY. BUT I'M NOT ACTUALLY SORRY BECAUSE YOU ARE AN ANON AND IT FELT NICE TO GET THIS OUT. 😂

☝️All of this. Cycles of abuse have to start somewhere. We really need to see Gabrielle in action, both pre/post turning, cuz it's going to put an awful lot into perspective when it comes to understanding why Lestat's the way he is. Magnus and Nicky and Akasha were just the icing on the cake. Claudia was an inevitability--Lestat was nowhere near in the right headspace to do right by either her or Louis, especially not in the books, when he didn't even have 100+ years to process any of his trauma.
I seriously wanna know what Lestat did during those years, cuz I'm convinced he either must've slept in Marius's house the majority of the time (recuperating from Armand vs Lestat Part 1); or he was a total degenerate who drowned his sorrows and blacked out for a couple decades not processing ANYTHING at all. Cuz why were his clothes from the 19th century when he arrived in NOLA? Even Europe would've updated their clothes for the 1900s, but it's like he literally RIP van Winkled his way from his coffin after Napoleon lost or something. 🤔
I think I heard somewhere that even once they get to the other books, they'll still call the series IWTV. Which implies that Lestat, Armand, Marius, Quinn, etc will be interviewed too? I hope that they introduce David & the Talamasca to interview them. Like, Louis' book would of course attract angry vamps, but I'd expect the Talamasca to come knocking too, like wtf is going on here? And I hope Daniel is made a Talamasca member, which would give him clearance to talk to the other vampires--especially Lestat. He's the only one with enough context to really grill him for details and sensitive info, and not be all star struck and softball the questions.
I'm more excited for S3 than S2 tbh. I need answers, Sway!
I personally don't think season 3 will or should be Lestat writing his own book. First of all, because of the abuse, I sincerely think any Lestat POV also needs another party present to call him out and not just let the audience assume his side is the truth, otherwise it will seem like the show is implicitly taking the abuser's side of the story (especially after how it framed Daniel's role in digging through Louis's story). Either he will show up to the penthouse and continue the "interview" framing or he will tell his story to Louis so both can be there to hash out what happened between them or something of that sort.
A straight up Lestat POV where he gets to paint himself as the victim would be pretty gross after what we've seen him do honestly and honestly why would the audience take anything he has to say seriously?
Okay I'm gonna be really honest here, unless Louis and Lestat's reunion has already happened and/or he's in a coma in the basement, I have no idea how people expect him to crash the interview at this point. Like it just does not make sense to me that he would just magically appear like that.
Honestly, I would much prefer that Lestat skips the memoir part and becomes a famous rockstar after reading Louis' interview and asks Louis to meet him with his song lyrics/media exposure so he can tell Louis his story himself before the San Francisco concert because that means we get maximum Louis. If Daniel is there to call him out on his bullshit, all the better, but I do want the story from Lestat's lips because the comedy of his narration is just too good to pass up. I've waited 15 years to hear Lestat describe himself with his own clown mouth and I hope season 3 doesn't disappoint.
Also, I just want to mention this because I feel like when people talk about Lestat there's a tendency to think about Lestat discussing his trauma as him painting himself as the victim and it really grates on me because two things can be true at once. Like, Lestat isn't the victim in his relationships with Louis and Claudia, obviously, but he absolutely was a victim. He was horrifically abused and neglected by his family his entire life growing up and was abandoned by every person he ever loved, even his own mother after he saved her life by making her a vampire bc she never wanted to be his mom (or a mom at all) in the first place. He is profoundly fucked up because of these traumatic events and they have a direct relationship to why he was so abusive to Louis and Claudia. Like he's probably got every trauma-induced personality disorder in the DSM-5 and literally cannot regulate his emotions or make himself stop being terrible until Louis hits his hard factory reset button and gives him an intervention by making him rot in the dump for a while so he's forced to think about what he's done.
Does that excuse any of his horrific behavior? No.
Does that mean he shouldn't have to atone for his bad decisions and the pain he's inflicted on other people? No.
Does that mean we should take every word he says as gospel and cast suspicion on Louis and Claudia's narratives? No.
But that doesn't mean every word out of his mouth is a lie either, and honestly, it's not like Lestat ever says "actually, every bad thing Louis and Claudia said I did was a lie because they're liars and I was a perfect father and husband and they tried to kill me for no reason." He fully admits that Claudia was right to kill him and that it's the kind of thing he would have done himself.
And like, in order for there to be a cycle of abuse, one has to first be abused. That's just how it works. And I don't really get why people are so set on erasing Lestat's traumatic history or viewing it as an either/or situation where only one of them is allowed to have been a victim of abuse and that if Lestat is allowed to talk about his abuse in season 3 he's by definition excusing his actions and challenging Louis' narrative.
I feel like part of the point of Anne Rice's work is that these vampires are, all of them, extremely monstrous AND deeply traumatized. They are both victims AND victimizers. It's what makes them so compelling and nuanced. I don't understand why some people want Lestat to be a cartoon villain with no redeeming qualities or path to redemption, and I also don't know why people seem to think that a season 3 from Lestat's perspective can only mean that the audience will not be asked to question or interrogate his perspective the way they've been asked to with Louis and Claudia in season 1.
Like, after everything they made Lestat do in season 1, if you're genuinely worrying that the writers are going to say "none of Louis or Claudia's trauma happened at all and actually Lestat was a perfect, sad angel the whole time who was unjustly wronged by Louis and Claudia and this is something you, the audience, are meant to uncritically believe because Lestat bat his eyelashes while he said it," I literally don't know what to say. It sounds ridiculous because it is.
There's just no way they're doing that and I think everyone should take a breath and stop stressing over it.

Hi I hope your well!
I couldn’t agree more with every single point made in your earlier post about the flaws of GG!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The show has much potential but the writers too busy mucking about. Sometimes it feels like S1 was meant to be a limited series, (excluding the last ‘gotta kill the king’ scene in the finale which was obviously meant to be used to continue the story in future seasons). It was so wonderfully put together but the latter part of S2 (& awful finale 🤮) and all of S3 makes it seem like they weren’t expecting and/or prepared for the show to be renewed so they started ...winging it. Sometimes it even feels like they start brainstorming ideas for the show all over again and write so many paralleling storylines form earlier seasons it just feels like we’re going around in circles.
Also, timeline being an absolute joke in this show has hindered the show and the development of the storylines and characters. The whole ‘it all started a year ago’ really got on my nerves but gave me some context on why the show sucks right now. If you’ve been watching the show since it started, it’s been 4 yrs, and we are still seeing our girls struggling and making the same dumb ass amateur mistakes and being overall powerless against Rio and the Feds. I get that the show was meant to be light and portray ordinary women surviving in the world of crime but at some point there needs to be growth and they need to start playing the game and gain a greater upper hand and start making real moves. We’re in S4 and they’re still trying to get through level one??! Lol. They should just quit at this rate.
We’re definitely going around in circles.
I’ve said this before but I’m sure (and it’s been all but fully confirmed by Krebs) that they have a specific endgame in sight for all three women. Every season they try and get them there, meaning every season they have to reset. Annie getting her life together, growing up and realising she doesn’t need a man has literally been in the works since S01E01 so I cannot describe my amusement at how they’re making it seem like it’s an innovative season 3/4 arc.
I heard about this “one year” thing, which is insane! The timeline was bad enough when the pregnancy storyline happened (if I remember correctly, Beth says in 3x01 that she hasn’t paid her mortgage in three months, then tries for “weeks” to get pregnant by Dean, plus Rio’s wounds needed time to fully heal), but trying to say the entire show has taken place over the span of a single year is ridiculous. (Also, wow, the ladies’ sense of style has changed dramatically in one year, heh.) Though you’re right, that does put things into a whole new light.
I can’t agree with you more on the Level 1 thing, especially since for viewers it’s been 4 years. (And it also isn’t as fast-paced as a show like The Vampire Diaries, which was notorious for each episode following on from the same night/next day as the previous episode, making each season equal only 6 months. By comparison, nothing much really happens in Good Girls and you’re telling me each season is only three months??) This dragging quality, btw, is also why so many people ask others not to make judgement calls until the entire storyline/season/nonexistent twist is revealed -- because nothing ever feels complete! There are things/questions from season 1 that still have not been paid off/answered.
Also I’ll never forget an interview with the actors where Mae (I think! It may also have been Christina) said that she asked Jenna when the girls were going to learn and she was told never -- that that’s the whole point.
I think this show thoroughly misreads the room because by now all of the audience is frustrated. I can’t put it better than you have: “I get that the show was meant to be light and portray ordinary women surviving in the world of crime but at some point there needs to be growth and they need to start playing the game and gain a greater upper hand and start making real moves.” From speaking to many casual viewers to whom I introduced the show and seeing what people say on Reddit, everyone is feeling the exact same way.
The most basic requirement for a TV show is that it is entertaining -- by this point, I think a lot of people are questioning (because of all of the above and more) whether even that is being met.

The 100?
Thank you Nonnie!!! :)
Top 5 favourite characters:
Echo / Emori / Raven / Murphy / Octavia
Other characters you like:
A lot, actually! Off the top of my head, Lexa, Clarke (although not in the way most people like her, I enjoy her as an anti-hero lmao), Bellamy, Monty, Jasper, Lincoln, Indra!
Least favourite characters:
Aside from the obvious villains obviously, I’m gonna say Kane and Abby. I never really cared for their stories, I’ve hated Abby since season 1 and Kane since s5 there’s just something about them being absolutely awful leaders and blaming kids for their failures that I can’t get behind.
Otps:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically lmao.
No but seriously, I think their love story is just great on so many levels, they’re the only love story I really care about in the show.
Other couples I really like are: Bellamy and Echo, Octavia and Lincoln, Octavia and Niylah, Octavia and Diyoza, Murphy and Emori and Raven, Echo and Raven, Jasper and Maya, Monty and Harper
Notps:
..... Bellarke lmao.
I enjoy the dynamic between Bellamy and Clarke, but I never saw it as romantic, and that’s how I enjoyed it. I love their ennemies to reluctant allies dynamic, I love the fact that their relationship is dysfunctional I love the parallels between Clarke and Octavia. But I don’t enjoy it at all as a romantic dynamic.
Favourite friendships:
Monty and Jasper, Octavia and Jasper, Raven and Murphy
Favourite family:
This is almost only found family because this show has a ton of found family dnamics that I love!! The Blake siblings, Spacekru, Octavia Diyoza and Hope, Raven and Finn.
Favourite episodes:
Murphy’s Law, Blood Must have Blood part 1 and part 2, Thirteen, The Chosen, Pramfayia, Red Queen, The Garden
Favourite season/book/movie:
Season 2. It has my favorite version of Lexa, it has Bellamy and Echo meeting, it has the most interesting antagonists (in my opinion haha). Season 4 is a close second though!
Favourite quotes:
“You believe that to defeat an ennemy who will stop at nothing, you must stop at nothing. How is that any different than Blood must have Blood?” - Luna in s3, because I think this quote shows very well the central conflict of the show, one that was established by Finn in s1: We have to try not to repeat history, and yet everytime, they do repeat it. I disagree with Luna in that instance because the threat that was ALI wasn’t like any other, but I agree with her sentiment.
“In peace, may you leave this shore. In love, may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels. Until our final journey to the Ground. May we meet again.” LISTEN. If there’s is one thing of the world building I absolutely adore, it’s the Traveler’s Blessing. It’s a beautiful prayer, and it gives me all the right emotions when I think about it. I was disappointed with what the show was making of it in seasons 2 and 3, with characters saying it all around, but then there are two instances that really get to me: Octavia and Bellamy saying it over the dead radio at the end of s4, and Monty / Bellamy and Clarke saying it at the end of season 5.
Best musical moment:
I loved the way the music carried the scene right after Lexa’s death, how it melts from Lexa’s death and Titus saying his ritual words, to Becca reaching earth, back to Lexa and the Flame coming out of her.
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest:
Oh boy there are a LOT Off the top of my head: when Monty refuses to leave Jasper alone when he gives his blood to Maya, when Murphy says “Touch me again and I’ll end you... in a non-criminal way”, when Becho was confirmed in s5, When Clarke managed to align the satellite dish in Pramfyia, when Octavia confronted Skaikru in The Chosen,.... I can’t think of others right now but there are a lot lmao You can check out my favorite scenes series if you want, I’m working on it slowly!
When it really disappointed you:
A lot of times, honestly... I’m gonna say, all of season 6. I hated it. It had so much potential, with characters having to deal with the aftermath of season 5, Monty and Harper dying, Jordan existing, Wonkru.... Instead we got a whole mess that didn’t do much for any character and I was really disappointed.
Saddest moment:
Lincoln’s death. I knew it was coming because I knew the actor was leaving the show, but I was so NOT READY for it omg it’s the scene I still cry everytime I watch it because it’s so sad and heartwrenching....
Most well done character death:
Okay so I think The 100 is really bad at having well done character deaths, so I’m gonna say my less well-done one lmaoooo
Lexa’s. Her death was so stupid. I wasn’t in the fandom at the time so I wasn’t aware of the awful queerbaiting that was going on, so without talking about BTS and marketing ploys, I do believe that her death was heavily predicted by the show. However, it was a stupid death and Lexa was too awesome a character to die by a stray bullet. She deserved a proper send-off, she deserved to die in an epic battle, or fighting for what she believed in,..... not a bullet.
Favourite guest star:
I know Shawn Mendes (Mendez? I don’t know lmao i don’t know him) was a guest star but I don’t know any other guest star so I guess that’s my answer lmao
Favourite cast member:
I don’t follow the cast, so I don’t have a favorite xD
Character you wish was still alive:
Jasper and Finn both deserve to still be alive, because the show treated their mental struggles like shit and I’m very bitter about that!
One thing you hope really happens:
Honestly, I don’t know? We have four episodes left of the entire show and I have no idea where it’s headed lmao I guess I hope both Emori and Murphy survive to see the end and have a long and happy life <3
Most shocking twist:
Okay I actually have three so I’ll you my top three:
1- The revelation of the Mountain Men. I was absolutely NOT expecting this to happen and I was gasping and going “nooooooooo way!!!” at my computer because it was so out of nowhere!! I loved it lmao
2- Murphy discovers that ALI destroyed the world: the ending of s2. That scene is so chilling, Murphy watching the video of Chris crying and killing himself, cut with scenes of Jaha getting to the mansion and the wholse scene with ALI herself... that whole scene was really cool and unexpected!
3- Clarke and Jaha steal the bunker during the conclave. I was so SHOOK by this moment, it was such a bold move and I loved it!
When did you start watching/reading?:
Early January, 2015. I was back at my appartment waiting for the semester to start, my roommates weren’t back from the holidays yet, and I was bored. So I started the show, and I binged all of season 1 and half of season 2 in 24 hours xD I caught up at Spacewalker, and then had to wait two weeks for the next episode to air and it was agony!!!!
Best animal/creature:
HELIOS THE BEST HORSE THERE IS
Favourite location:
The Second Dawn Bunker. Yeah I know it’s strange coming from me because I absolutely hate so many things about the bunker xD But it was such a cool location!! With the rotunda/arena, the farm, the huge corridors,.....
Trope you wish they would stop using:
“It’s the end of the world, whatever shall we do???” I’m just tired you guys. Nuclear apocalypses and other bombings should not be that common lmao
One thing this show/book/film does better than others:
I love the fact that it has so many different and well developped female characters. It shouldn’t be rare, but it still is, and this show really stands out to me for that reason. I’m not saying it’s the peak of feminism or anything because lmao IT’S NOT. But the women of the show have agency, freedom, they’re all distinct from one another and not just tropes and cliches. I really like it.
Funniest moments:
Nothing comes to mind right now? I feel like an idiot lmao I have so many moments that make me laugh and I can’t think of a single one right now x)
Couple you would like to see:
I would love to have canon Murphy x Emori x Raven!!
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast:
Nobody haha sorry
Favourite outfit:
Blodreina’s cape thingy!
Tumblr media
Favourite item:
Raven’s necklace!!! I’m actually hoping to make myself one someday, it’s my favorite thing ^^
Do you own anything related to this show/book/film?:
Nothing!
What house/team/group/friendship group/family/race etc would you be in?:
I wish I could be spacekru haha they’re the best found family of the whole show and we deserved a flashback episode for them <3
Most boring plotline:
the entirety of season 6 xDDDDD
No but seriously, I’m gona say Illian’s plot. Honestly I never got into it at all, I didn’t care enough about him, or his family.
Most laughably bad moment:
I mean, the pilot is pretty cringe-worthy xD
Best flashback/flashfoward if any:
the flashbacks of the Dark Year.
Most layered character:
Octavia
Most one dimensional character:
Jordan lmao I was so disappointed with his story in s6.....
Scariest moment:
OMG in season 2 when Bellamy, Octavia and the guards go into the old parking garage and CAROL OF THE BELLS START PLAYING THAT WAS SO FUCKING CREEPY
Grossest moment:
Ewwww the whole worm thing happening in s5, AND the weird trees growing inside people in s6 xD
Best looking male:
S5 Murphy, hands down. Also s7 Murphy cause he spends half his time shirtless lmao
Best looking female:
Emori! She’s so pretty.
Who you’re crushing on (if any):
I mean everybody is gorgeous but I don’t have a particular fixation haha
Favourite cast moment:
I don’t watch interviews or BTS stuff so I don’t know much, but Richard Harmon wearing hie sister’s costume and wig was really funny ^^
Favourite transportation:
Becca’s rocket
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise):
It’s very obvious symbolism, but I love the last shot of Blood must have blood part 1, with Clarke standing alone in front of the door of Mount Weather.
Also, Octavia forcing the clans into submission in Red Queen, the mini conclave in fron of the doors of the vafeteria. The shots in that scene were really good!
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you:
Lmaooooooo do you have ten hours? Because that’s how long I can ramblr about the inconsistencies and plotholtes of this show x) Off the top of my head:
- Why does everybody on the Ark speak Enlighs?
- If Becca knew Nightblood could let you live on Earth then why didn’t she distribute it among the space stations?
- Why did Cadogan build the bunker in the middle of the city when he had a prefectly good FOREST??
- If Lexa is the first Commander to unite the clans then what was the role of the Commander before her?
- Why didn’t the Ark send one adult with the 100 (Pyke) to protect and help them?
- How come the Eligius IV prisoners don’t die when they come back to Earth in s5 since they have no nightblood and didn’t adapt through evolution?
- How is it that Spacekru survived with algea alone but Wonkru had to have this huge variety of plants?? WHAT’S THE MAGIC ALGEA MONTY???
- Why did Mount Weather crash the Exodus ship?
- If the ressources on the Ark are so scarce then why would they float people with clothes on them?
- How come Raven could visit Finn in prison but Bellamy couldn’t visit Octavia?? If Octavia was in solitary, why?
...... Okay i’m gonna stop for now lmao but I could write an entire memoir on the inconsistencies of this show lmao
Best promo:
That one:
Tumblr media
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book:
I’m thinking Murphy’s Law? The first few episodes were a little too teenage-drama for me but this episode shifted my opinion enough to get me to keep watching ^^

rules: pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. don’t cheat. tag 10 (or however many) people.
I didn't get tagged but this looked fun and I wanted to do it. No shame lol
1. Avatar: The Last Airbender
2. Killing Eve
3. Black Sails
4. Shameless US
5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
what’s your favourite character from 1?
ATLA is one of those magical shows where I love/like most of the characters. But my fave (to the surprise of no one probably lol) is Zuko. His character and story has been making me over-emotional since 2005.
who’s your least favourite character in 2? Other than the random awful men that got killed off fast, it has to be Niko. I find him boring and unnecessary at this point. I'm an unapologetic misandrist and heterophobe *bows*
what’s your favourite episode of 4?
Hmmm....tbh I always find it difficult to choose a #1 favorite episode of Shameless. The Mickey stan in me wants to just say "Emily" (and I do love that episode) but there are a lot of early episodes that I love for other reasons. So I'm not sure.
what is your favourite season of 5?
Tbh it's been such a long time since I watched Buffy that the seasons kind of blur together for me lol. But I THINK I remember really loving S3.
what’s your favourite couple of 3?
Max and Anne. I love those tender and complicated lesbians. But Max and Eleanor are a very close second. Basically just stan the wlw of Black Sails.
what’s your favourite couple in 2?
Eve and Villanelle ofc. Who else is there to ship?;
what’s your favourite episode in 1?
"Zuko Alone". My EMOTIONS. But "The Storm" is a very close second.
what’s your favourite episode in 5?
Probably "Once More, With Feeling". It's the episode I re-watch the most. I'm a musical hoe sue me.
what’s your favourite season in 2?
S1. S2 is a pretty close to being tied with it in my book but the interviews that came after it kind of soured it for me. I'm hoping S3 will beat both of them though!
how long have you been watching 1?
Since it first started airing. So since 2005. A LONG time lol
how did you get into 3?
A fandom friend of mine really loves it and I used to see her talk about it all the time on twitter and tumblr. And then I found out there were canon gay women on it and I was sold.
favourite actor in 4?
Honestly...Jeremy Allen White. He's very underrated.
which do you prefer? 1, 2 or 5?
Ugh I love all three of them but it would probably go ATLA > Killing Eve > Buffy
which show have you seen more of, 1 or 3?
Idk...about the same I think. They're both relatively short shows. But I've re-watched ATLA way more than I have Black Sails.
if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Idk they're all messes lmao. Maybe Sandy? I'd love to be Mickey's lesbian cousin.
would a crossover of 3 and 4 work?
Black Sails and Shameless....nah lol. But I'd be down for reading an AU fic where Mickey is Flint and Ian is Thomas 👀
pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple?
I lowkey ship Zuko and Ty Lee a little. I wish we'd gotten more interaction between them after that brief exchange during "The Beach".
overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
Black Sails. It had the advantage of being a shorter show and therefore, better planned. Although there are still plenty of things that frustrates me about it. Plus it's gay.
which has better theme music, 2 or 4?
Killing Eve doesn't really have a theme song but I do like the soundtrack. But I'm gonna have to give this one to Shameless. "The Luck You Got" is catchy af.
I tag: @melroesplace @analuciacortez @sonyarebecchi @mrs-n-uzumaki @solraneth @whaticameherefor @loonyle @milkymickeyway @redblooms @lesbianelinordashwood @atlalovingfuck

Long Way Home, Ch. 3
Rafael x Reader. AU; SVU x Good Wife. Set post s5 Good Wife, Dramatics Your Honor. References: s3, e.21 of TGW. CW: continued angst.
***
Tumblr media
Three months had passed. You settled into your new home and your new job. You became friendly with the SVU squad easily. The cases were intense; much different than what you were used to before. Sometimes justice wasn’t always had and you grappled with that. Sometimes you skimmed the legal/illegal line of getting what you needed which drove Barba occasionally into a tizzy. You threw yourself into your work, trying to stuff down and ignore the many objectionable feelings that were rooted deep down.
You woke up to to your phone buzzing. It was a bunch of texts sent in rapid succession from Carmen.
[Carmen, 7:30 AM: Barba needs you at SVU]
[Carmen, 7:31 AM: FYI he’s in a mood]
[Carmen, 7:32 AM: He’s already on his way there]
Your stomach flopped a bit and you sighed. Your boss was a wonderful man, but when he was in a mood, he could be pretty cantankerous. You could begin to feel a dull throb in your head form.
After a quick shower, and popping some aspirin, you made your way to the 16th precinct. The elevator doors opened and you were face to face with a tall, brunette woman.
“Morning Liv,” you greeted warmly. Liv smiled.
“Morning Y/F/N,” She made her way into the elevator as you stepped out. She held her arm over the elevator door. “I hate to bail but there’s an issue with Noah and his school. I’ll be back later. Barba is already here; he’s in my office.”
The elevator started to ring. Olivia gave a small but warm smile. You nodded your goodbye and made your way towards Liv’s office.
As you made your way over, you bumped into Carisi who was also heading towards Liv’s office.
“Morning Y/F/N,” Carisi greeted you brightly. “Here for Barba?”
“Hey Sonny,” you greeted in a sing-song manner as you both entered Liv’s office.
Your boss was going though a stack of papers on Liv’s desk. He looked up at the two of you, and sighed before taking a swig of coffee from the cup in his hand.
“Carisi, Y/F/N,” Rafael clipped. “Patrick Roonery was convicted of raping and murdering his boss’ wife 13 years ago. New DNA evidence has exonerated him. However, McCoy wants me to investigate further, because the judge may have withheld some evidence to secure the conviction. I need you Y/F/N to speak with the original jury members and see if they remember anything odd. Carisi go with Y/F/N and use that recently acquired law degree.”
Rafael sighed, continuing. “If this is true, this could have huge repercussions. I have never been more jaded by the bench than I have now. Cuesta is a well respected judge. He’s known in the community. This won’t be easy.”
“On it,” Carisi affirmed. You nodded, before furrowing your brow. “You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, just a headache and my stomach is a little off. I am just hungry. No time to grab anything to eat. I’ll just hit up the break room before we leave,” you replied.
Amanda poked her head and knocked. “Barba, we got the files from the Cuesta hearing. It’s a mess. I set it up in the spare interview room so you can start to go through everything,” she sighed.
****
Amanda was not kidding when she said the file was a mess. Something did immediately appear to be off. You just wasn’t sure as to what.
Grabbing the list of jurors and their addresses that Carisi just printed out, you headed out with him to interview.
Rafael watched you exit. “I like her, she’s a good fit,” he remarked to Amanda.
“Shame what happened to her husband,” Amanda replied with a sad smile. “Just awful.”
Rafael paused for a minute before resuming re-stacking the papers into the evidence box. “What did you say?”
“She didn’t tell you?” Amanda asked, her accent twinging. “Her husband was that hot shot lawyer from Chicago who was murdered by his client in the courtroom. Will... something,” she trailed off.
Rafael shook his head. “Gardner?” He questioned.
“Him! That’s right,” Amanda tapped her temple. That’s why she’s out here.”
“And she just told you all of this?” Rafael pressed Amanda.
“No. I just remember when it happened; there was a picture of them in the paper. I recognized her almost immediately. But she hasn’t said anything so I didn’t want to. Not my place, you know?”
****
Later that afternoon, you and Carisi were on the way to the last juror’s residence.
“After this gent, how about we go get some food? I know a great pizza joint two blocks over,” Carisi replied with a grin.
You walked up the front stoop of a Brooklyn brownstone with Carisi. “Sounds good, I could use something to eat. Your dime, not mine,” you teased.
You found the apartment and buzzed. After a few subsequent buzzes, no one answered. Carisi looked up at the top of building. “Let’s go grab a bite and then come back; maybe we will catch them on the way back.”
At that moment, the doors opened and a man stepped out.
“Excuse me,” he replied, walking past you. You caught a whiff of his cologne and your world stopped in its tracks. The scent of the stranger’s cologne - Will’s cologne - overtook your senses. Your stomach churned and you could hear your heart pounding in your ears.
Carisi began talking to the man, initially oblivious to your discomfort. You leaned over on the railing, your eyes brimming and you willed yourself to not upchuck the contents of your stomach.
“Y/N? You okay? Y/N?” Carisi tapped your shoulder.
You took a breath and stood straight, nodding, while wiping your eyes. “Yes,” you replied shakily. “I—“ you started before promptly throwing up on Carisi’s leather shoes.
Your eyes widened in horror. “I am so sorry,” you apologized.
Carisi raised his hand up. “Well, my appetite is over. Let’s head to that shop anyway so we can get you a soda and I can get cleaned up and you can tell me what that was about.”
****
Carisi listened intently as you spilled everything that had been kept in for the past few months: the shooting, the funeral, the decision to get away from everyone who seemed to mollycoddle you immediately after, the intense desire to step away and create a whole new life back home.
“I am really sorry about your shoes. Take them to be cleaned and send me the bill,” you apologized before taking a long sip of the 7Up Carisi grabbed from the pizza-shop refrigerator.
“Y/N,” Carisi replied gently while reaching out to touch your hand. “It’s fine; I am really sorry about what happened to your husband. I read some of his law reviews at Fordham. He was damn fine lawyer.”
You nodded in agreement. “We were planning the next phase of our lives. I know tomorrow is never promised but I just didn’t think it would happen to me.”
Carisi reached over and wiped the lone tear that had fallen on your cheek with a greasy tissue. “Whatever you need Y/N, you can count on me, the squad; we’ve got you.”

@decraziness thank you for the tag! <3 This is my first time, bare with me :p
rules – answer 21 questions and then tag people who you want to get to know better
nickname(s): I don't really have one.
zodiac sign: Virgo
height: 5′4″ (164cm)
last movie I saw: Captain Marvel (IMAX theater!) It was my 13th anniversary with my husband :o. Though I think the movie could have been much better. :/
last thing I googled: "Where's the catch" song lyric for a Druck soundtrack analysis I just posted here.
favourite musician: Fuck, this is hard... If I really have to choose one right now I would say Tom Rosenthal
song stuck in my head: Everything's rose, everything's rose... "Where's the catch" by James Blake and Andre3000 for the same reason. Before that it was that Skam France song because I had just watched their O Helga Natte: Remember by Seinabo Sey. Oh boy, do I even have a life outside Skam lol
other blogs: Just this one, that already keeps me busy enough
following: 1,209 (if you have an evak pic, I'm following you bitch)
followers: 864, excited to get to 1000 (just because)
do I get asks: now and then, yes. I reply to every single one
amount of sleep: I have the awful habit of using my phone on bed (hello, Tumblr, Im talking about you). Which means I sleep late (I've always been a night owl) but since I have to get up to work, I sleep 5 to 7 hours. On weekends on the other hand, u-la-la, 10 hours minimum.
lucky numbers: 13? :p I don't know

instruments played: None, just "Come as You're" (Nirvana) on guitar.
languages: english, Portuguese (native, I'm Brazilian), and a little of Spanish.
favourite songs: I obsess with a song, listen to it on repeat, then move to next one. Right now it's Shallow, Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper
random fact: I learned English by translating Harry Potter crew interviews when I was a child/teen and had a Harry Potter blog with my sis. At that period I spent nights during school break reading HP fanfics. As I grew up I stopped, and after watching Skam S3, I was so in love with their love, I needed more! I remembered about all the fanfics I used to read and I had to check it out. This is what made me come back to fanfics after more than one decade apart. One of the first fics I read was cuteandtwisted I'm not a baby. No need to say I fell in love. And currently I have more than 200k words on ao3 (in english! something I would never have thought was possible).
aesthetic: clean/practical/white spaces/furniture, yellow flowers, black clothes are so elegant!

Thank you for over 3000 followers
I reached 3000 followers a while ago and even though I didn’t do anything for my other milestones, I thought I should make a post about this one (though I couldn’t think of anything special). After all, 3000 is most likely the highest I will get and it really is an amazing number, considering I’m not doing anything special XD Kinda fitting too. In NnT everything started 3000 years ago, and for my blog everything started 3000 followers ago XD I’m not sure how many people from the old days even follow me anymore, but, thank you all. It’s been some amazing years!
As for what I’ll do… Well, my friend @maybeishouldwait helped me with some question prompts, so it’ll sort of be like an interview? I hope at least some of you are interested. So, let’s start!
1. Let's start with an easy one: how did you discover NNT, and what drew you to it?
I’ve recently answered an ask with a similar question but here we go! It was a complete coincidence. I wasn’t necessarily searching for something. I randomly browsed a manga reading site, probably looking foe updates and the title somehow caught my attention so I clicked on it. I didn’t take it seriously at first, the first chapter really didn’t impress me at all, and I only continued because I thought it was funny. It’s no secret I fell in love with the series but it still baffled me how fast it went from “Lol, this is funny and stupid” to “BEIRHJ I LOVE THIS SO MUCH” in a matter of a only few chapters XD Everything was such a new experience to me. The characters weren’t the usual stereotypes, they were actually deep and interesting. The story took a while to become interesting, at first it was more about just… gathering these super powerful knights and it was so cool to see what kind of crazy character the next one would be. I also loved how I could never see anything coming. Even now that we know what kind of series this is, there are still plottwists like Hawk’s eyes being the portal to purgatory or Cath’s whole appearance that just… could not be predicted and I really love that surprise effect when something unbelievable happens. So I love the characters and the surprises but I also love the story, or rather how it’s told. For the first… 70 or so chapters to me it felt like with every chapter it just got even BETTER than before. I still had a few of those moments in the Commandment saga, just, scenes that blew me away and made me think “Wow, I wonder how much better this series can get”. I think it also was around chapter 70 that I created my blog. And more than anything I think I love the tragedies. It’s hearbreaking but heartwarming at the same time somehow. Not many of you probably know this but my first NnT OTP was actually Banlaine and I cried so much when I read their backstory. I loved how deeply in love they were to the point of sacrificing themselves for the other. Both had to deal with a large chunk of loneliness in their lives and for both of them the other was their salvation. Every time Ban was saying anything about Elaine in the main series I was both crying and cheering for him. By now everything is a tragedy and while I wish there were a few more lighthearted scenes for… personal salvation… I like that and crying about all those characters and CARING for their happiness really helped me get into this series I think.
2. How has your blog changed since it started?
Well, apart from the fact that is has grown popular… I actually think I’ve burned out a but. I write a lot less text posts than before. I had an awful amount of (stupid) theories back in the old days and also an awful amount of free time somehow. Now I feel like I don’t think about theories that often anymore, let alone post them. Part of that is that I’m busy with work and other hobbies, but partly that’s because the series has gotten so long and it’s becoming harder and harder to remember details, especially from the newer chapters. I really want to reread the series but I never get around to do that anymore. I also think that back in the days I more or less posted just anything I found or thought was cool, while nowadays I’m always wondering what I could do. I still try to keep it up but it’s becoming harder and harder. Oh, there’s also a lot more follower interaction too!
3. What are some of your favorite blogs or sites for NNT stuff?
As for sites, I usually only check the official ones, like the official HP or the official Twitter account. As for blogs… I don’t really follow a lot of people since I look through the tag almost on a daily basis anyway. Of course there’s @spoilerkingjuliane, she’s a must follow XD I can also highly recommend @maybeishouldwait since she’s an awesome writer. I always enjoy @nostalgicbookworms gifs a lot and @sdsmangacaps is my go-to account for manga caps. There are a lot more blogs that I really like, there are tons of really good artists on Tumblr and Twitter but since I’m not actually following a lot of them and I fear I’ll forget a few I’d rather not mention them directly and hope they know I appreciate them. The most obvious Twitter account is yuka_sai0127 btw, but there are a lot of others.
4. What advice would you give to someone wanting to make their blog as successful as yours?
Tbh I have no idea how I even got so popular in the first place XD I started on a whim and thought I’d lose motivation immediately and nobody would follow me anyway. But before I knew it I had almost 100 followers in a matter of a few days. Maybe it was my obsession? I also quickly befriended the other popular NnT blogs, that probably helped too. I think it depends on what kind of blog you have, but I think the most important thing is frequent updates and high quality. I also think blogs should have a good balance between your own content and reblogs. There are blogs that live only through reblogs and that’s fine but I think it’s harder to be “interesting” when you don’t have your own content. Try to find something only you can do and do it. @spoilerkingjuliane for example is good at finding info and she is immensely popular because of that. I will forever be slightly jealous of her because I will never reach that level XD”
5. What's the best part of running your blog? What's something you wish was different?
The best part without a doubt is how much it involves me into the fandom. I’m more or less forced to see all kinds of fandom posts and while that’s sometimes stressing me out, I also see a lot of amazing content and being able to share those posts with so many people makes me really happy. Running this blog also helped me boost my own confidence. As I mentioned earlier at the beginning I thought nobody would be interested in my blog anyway and I’d give up right away. But I gained followers quickly and it showed me that yes, I might not be as boring as always I think I am. It showed me that I can do things if I just try. On the downside though, running a popular blog puts a lot of pressure on you, and I constantly feel like I have to do something, have to go through the tag, have to make SOME content somehow. And even when you’re stressed you can’t just take it out on people after all so the stress piles up. That’s probably my own responsibility and not the blog itself that is doing that, but I still wish I could take it more easy.
6. How did you learn Japanese? Did you find it difficult?
Well, it wasn’t easy at least. I started learning Japanese twice, once I gave up quickly because the book I used was a horrible starter and after that I learned the basic grammar and a few words through a magazine crash course. Learning specific words was easier than to learn all hiragana and katakana on their own and since I also knew the basic grammar it made it easier to learn and understand whole sentences. Still, I’m an extremely lazy human being and even though I’ve been learning Japanese for almost half of my life now I very rarely actively studied. Most of the time I would try (and fail) to read manga in Japanese and pick up new words and grammar here and there. But through switching between actually learning and trying to read manga I got better. Once I was at a certain level I bothered a ton of random japanese people too in order to befriend and speak japanese with them, which also helped. I think the most major step in my learning career was getting obsessed with Tales of Vesperia a few years ago tho. I was at a comparatively high Japanese level back then already but playing a game of THAT length completely in japanese was a challenge. I learned a stupid amount of new words and grammar and ways of talking through that game and it probably helped that it was just an amazing game that remains to be my favorite. I’ve also translated a few manga chapters back then that really got me practicing and I also worked at an Udon restaurant with (except for me) 100% japanese staff. And as is the case with all languages… Talking with real people is always the best practice. Then of course my year working in japan gave me the final boost. I still have a ton to learn and I’m nowhere near really GOOD but I like to think my japanese is pretty decent at least.
7. What do you see for the future of your blog?
It won’t be all too long anymore til the manga ends and when that happens there won’t be any theories or reviews to write anymore… There will still be an S3 and possible an S4 and maybe more anime projects. But it will be harder to update the blog with original content. Eventually it will most likely turn into a reblog only blog. But I hope I will have some more time and motivation to actually reread the manga, complete my NnT encyclopedia and update the blog with interesting stuff I find in between. I really want to keep this blog up for a few more years!
No matter how it will turn out though, I’m happy I came so far. I made a whole bunch of good friends during this time and had a lot of fun. To my friends and followers (silent or not): Thank you so much for your support!
