Original
It had generated a complete reference with title, author, and everything. Completely fabricated.
It’s not a search engine, it’s a crappy imitation of one.

So, I made a tool to stop AI from stealing from writers
So seeing this post really inspired me in order to make a tool that writers could use in order to make it unreadable to AI.
And it works! You can try out the online demo, and view all of the code that runs it here!
It does more than just mangle text though! It's also able to invisibly hide author and copyright info, so that you can have definitive proof that someone's stealing your works if they're doing a simple copy and paste!
Below is an example of Scrawl in action!
[Text reads "To humans, this text looks normal, but to computers, it's unreadable!"]
Of course, this "Anti-AI" mode comes with some pretty serious accessibility issues, like breaking screen readers and other TTS software, but there's no real way to make text readable to one AI but not to another AI.
If you're okay with it, you can always have Anti-AI mode off, which will make it so that AIs can understand your text while embedding invisible characters to save your copyright information! (as long as the website you're posting on doesn't remove those characters!)
But, the Anti-AI mode is pretty cool.

Sometimes I listen to my coworker talk about how she's gonna be the next big literary fiction whatever and then in the next breath she's going on about how chatgpt has saved her so much "creative energy" because she doesn't have to do her own writing anymore and like on one hand it's kinda satisfying watching a certified dumbass shoot their own foot but on the other she does this like once a week and I am tired of it

I think I found a way to bring the Democrats and Republicans together. We ALL hate the self-checkout lines at grocery stores or automated customer service. Everyone from me, a neurodivergent bisexual to the old conservative grandma down the road from me. NO ONE LIKES TALKING TO A MACHINE.
Automation is a huge threat to jobs. And what do both liberal and conservative politicians praise? Job creation. We should come together to stop AI.

👍 Like.
💬 Commente "Je veux automatiser mon acquisition, merci Paul. Cdlt" (je déconne, mets ce que tu veux)
À bientôt,

New rules of engagement for statistical language models:
please I am begging you call the chat bot a statistical algorithm or predictive text software or language model bot or prompt-based data skimming or anything but stop calling it AI that shit is not
Same for image generators- statistical image modelling or whatever is Not AI
Do not call the bots by name. Do not refer to them like friends
Assume anything you enter into a prompt based statistical algorithm will be sold
Assume everything you do and enter will be stolen
Assume anything "generated" by bots is plagiarism
Don't play with the bots. They need to be fed to learn
Stop calling it Artificial Intelligence so help me god there is no intelligence here it's a branding strategy

Cracking the Code: Manifesting Success with AI-Driven Marketing Strategies
As the domain of marketing technology continues to grow at a rapid pace and is driven by growth in artificial intelligence (AI) and personalization, marketers encounter exciting opportunities as well as daunting challenges. Adapting to these changes requires practical approaches that allow organizations to stay current, manage change effectively, and operate at scale.
In this article, we explore five practical tactics to help modern marketing teams adapt and thrive in this dynamic environment:
Embrace More 'Human' Customer Engagement Technology:
While chatbots have been around for decades, advancements in AI have significantly enhanced their capabilities. Today, AI-powered chatbots can engage with customers in a remarkably human-like manner, providing round-the-clock support and valuable insights.
Leveraging chatbots not only improves customer experience but also generates valuable data for outbound marketing initiatives. By analyzing customer queries and interactions, marketers can easily get valuable data that can enhance their marketing strategies.
Harness Customer Data Responsibly:
Customers willingly share personal information with companies, providing valuable insights into their preferences, behaviours, and sentiments. Marketers must mine this data responsibly and use it to deliver personalized experiences and targeted offers.
By leveraging predictive analytics and machine learning, marketers can analyze data faster and make informed decisions to enhance omnichannel marketing efforts.
Utilize Content Repurposing Tools:
Authentic content remains paramount in marketing, but creating content for various channels and platforms can be challenging. Content repurposing tools like Optimizely and Interaction Studio help marketers adapt long-form content into social media posts, videos, and other formats.
Expanding your content footprint not only enhances brand visibility but also allows for faster learning and adaptation to changing market dynamics.
Invest in Upskilling Your Team:
While AI-based tools offer significant automation potential, managing and mastering these technologies require skilled professionals. Marketers must invest in continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration to stay ahead.
Effective leadership and teamwork are essential for navigating the complexities of modern marketing. Encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams fosters a culture of innovation and growth.
Embrace Transformational Opportunities:
As AI continues to reshape the marketing landscape, traditional metrics of success are being redefined. Marketers must embrace the transformative potential of AI and other emerging technologies to serve their customers better.
When evaluating new ideas and technologies, marketers should prioritize customer value and align them with their brand and company values. By focusing on solutions that genuinely benefit customers, marketers can drive meaningful impact and success.
In conclusion, navigating the ever-evolving domain of AI-driven marketing requires a blend of innovative strategies and steadfast principles. By embracing more human-centric engagement technologies, responsibly harnessing customer data, utilizing content repurposing tools, investing in team upskilling, and embracing transformational opportunities, modern marketing teams can position themselves for success. The key lies in adapting to change while remaining true to customer-centric values, fostering collaboration, and prioritizing solutions that genuinely benefit the audience. With these practical tactics in hand, marketers can not only thrive but also lead the way in shaping the future of marketing.

When questioned, chatgpt doubles down on how it is definitely correct.
But it's not relying on some weird glitchy interpretation of the art itself, a la adversarial turtle-gun. It just reports the drawing as definitely being of the word "lies" because that kind of self-consistency is what would happen in the kind of human-human conversations in its internet training data. I tested this by starting a brand new chat and then asking it what the art from the previous chat said.
Google's bard, on the other hand, interprets it differently
Bard has the same tendency to generate illegible ASCII art and then praise its legibility, except in its case, all its art is cows.
Not to be outdone, bing chat (GPT-4) will also praise its own ASCII art - once you get it to admit it even can generate and rate ASCII art. For the "balanced" and "precise" versions I had to make my request all fancy and quantitative.
With Bing chat I wasn't able to ask it to read its own ASCII art because it strips out all the formatting and is therefore illegible - oh wait, no, even the "precise" version tries to read it anyways.
These language models are so unmoored from the truth that it's astonishing that people are marketing them as search engines.
