Hmm... I think this largely depends on the home lives of the people in concern, and sadly we don't really get much idea how anyone else aside from Houtaro live, aside maybe from a few assumptions we can make from what little we do know.

Renge, for example, seems to live apart from her family who are in Osaka, so presumably she lives on her own and any Chemmies she'd have living with her would probably not have a hard time keeping themselves hidden as long as they don't cause a commotion. Same for Rinne and Sabimaru, if they didn't happen to be living with any relatives.

Spanner and Kyoka are both alchemists, so if they do live together under one roof with their Chemmies then the same thing applies. I think it would be much easier as well if they lived at that lab Kyoka also works in, though they probably had to vacate it when the Geryon and the Abyssalis Sisters found them.

However, there's the fact that Spanner in the past regarded Chemmies as little more than tools with no sentience whatsoever, so I kinda doubt he let them out of their Chemmy Cards in that case. Maybe Kyoka would be more indulging though.

Gotchard headcanons

Most of the regulars of Ichinose Kitchen noticed when Houtaro's alchemist classmates started helping in the cafe. They were glad the Houtaro seemed to have more friends now and has more of a life outside just helping his mom

Said regulars also often tell Houtaro that they have seen some kind of oversized insect and suggested exterminator services and such. Houtaro scolded Hopper-1 for allowing himself to be seen

Rinne lives by herself in a small apartment, and she had to learn how to do many chores by herself, though for repairs and such she tends to "cheat" by using alchemy.

I would too, but sadly, I'm not much of a writer. I just mostly daydream about these things. I love books where it's confirmed that other worlds exist, because that opens up the possibility of traveling to any fictional world you want! It's fun to think about the differences in magic systems, some things they have in common, and how they would interact with each other and the advantages and disadvantages they would have if trying to work together or fighting against each other!

Like with the Shadowhunter chronicles world, for example, all the angels and the demons could be the way the struggle between the Lone Power and the Powers that be is characterized in this world. The Shadowhunters would be like one of the Powers decided to give some power to a group of people that can be inherited, in order to give mortals a way to defend themselves from the minions of the Lone One (demons), which they would need, especially if wizards don't exist in this world. Though they still could technically exist. There are wizards from other dimensions. And they do say in Young Wizards that wizardry is not magic. So that opens up the possibility of there being magic that works completely differently from wizardry, that people are just born with, or acquire otherwise.

Though I don't think wizards would think much of Shadowhunter society. The protagonists are pretty great people, but their government and culture is very often not. The usual problem of people in power often being terrible. I would quite enjoy seeing Nita or Dairine take some of them down a peg or two. 

But if you think the Shadowhunter world sounds interesting, maybe you could check out the books? There are multiple series that take place in this world, so if you ended up liking it, then that would give you a lot to look forward to to read!
