A-Z Sherlock Fan Fiction Tropes Bingo

Ahhh, so I saw this Fanfiction Bingo Card by @swissmissing going around, and even though I wasn't ever tagged, I wanted to do some recs of my own because, like, that's my whole brand LOL. I hope no one minds...🙃 I needed to have a list ready for this Sunday, and this was perfect, LOL.

And because I'm always trying to overachieve on these challenges, I'm going to do full black out, BOTH tropes in each square.

This will be a Combination of my read fics and "to read" fics [to fill in spaces I don't have tags for], which I will append the latter with (MFL) just like so, for those of you who only want fics I've personally read. Drarry x Fandom

I have made many fic rec lists, almost always at someone's request, although I don't often post them publicly. However, there are fic rec lists I compiled simply because I like a particular troupe. I often keep copies of these lists in the notes in my phone so that I can respond quickly to a request for fic recs. Long story short, the notes pile up and now I need to delete some before I can't find anything anymore. But I don't want to just let those rec lists disappear, so I decided to share them.

The list I want to share with you today is Drarry fics in which fandom plays an important role.

- Draco Potter and the Day the World Ended (G; 3,2k) by gracefully_slytherin

Draco Potter (nee Malfoy) was known for many things.

He was a Death Eater who was acquitted of all his war crimes; he was the first Mind Healer that St. Mungo's had hired; he was the Savior of the Wizarding World's husband; and he was the popular fanfiction author sassysnakeprince on Archive of Our Own.

And life was peaceful until his beloved fanfiction website stopped working overnight. The world, it seemed, had chosen to die that day.

God, this was fun.

The fic that started it all for me: A Cure for Boredom by @emmagrant01

This is maybe the job that I am most proud of so far, and also the one I cannot share with my friends and family because it is about 90% porn (absolutely the best porn, cannot recommend enough).

I based the entire design off of one of my favorite Malevich paintings. Each of the chapter pages is a different part of the painting (and the fleurons are too)!

I was really pleased with how the cover came out.

And I think one of my favorite parts is a little warning at the bottom of the page before the NSFW art, for anyone who might be brave enough to try and read this in public.

Anyway, this was a labor of love from start to finish for me, and I will forever be grateful to EmmaGrant for writing it. If you haven’t checked out the rest of their fic, run and do it now. Hands down one of my favorite authors, and her stories have stuck with me over the years.

Rec Notes: This is one of my all time fav tropes and ooof this is so fluffy and wholesome!!!! Harry’s the hot school teacher, Draco’s a doting dad - I’m ded!! Scorpius is an adorable bean (I will die on that hill) who had me cooing with heart eyes. It cannot (!!) get cuter than this! Ooh but if you need any more coaxing, Draco wears an Adidas tracksuit and has piercings 🔥😍

Summary: McGonagall has decided on some changes for those returning to Hogwarts for an 8th year. Not only will Houses be abolished, but there will be a shared common room and rooms will be assigned to pairs. On top of that, they're all randomly assigned a pen pal within the same year that they have to write to each week. Harry and Draco don't like the way any of this information sounds, but it doesn't set in until they get their room assignments...they're going to be roommates??

Rec Notes: This is a lovely complex epistolary fic. The letters the boys exchange, really show their frames of mind. Harry is confused and lost, while Draco is angry and bitter. Ofcourse as the story moves on the letters get more heartfelt and honest. A beautiful concept with equally beautiful writing!
