Roy Kaplan - Out of Sight: Final Casting Call

Hello, friends!

Due to some extenuating circumstances I (the writer and editor) have taken over control of production for this project. As such, I am now putting out a casting call for all the remaining needed roles, with hopes that I can get everything together for a launch around the new year. There are six roles: two minor, four major--two of which are recurring characters. ETA: We are now casting eight roles--I have added Wes, the main supporting character of the series, and Oskar Creek, a main character in one of the episodes, to the casting documents.

This is a paid voice acting opportunity--our rates are 10 USD or 0.10 USD/word, whichever is higher. The flat rates are listed alongside the respective characters. DEADWOOD is a horror anthology podcast about eldritch horrors, immortal entities, losing the ones you love, and the inherent humanity in survival.

Season One of Deadwood, also known as The Pioneer Arc, is three stories told in reverse centered around an eldritch horror called The Pioneer, explaining how it came to wreak havoc on the inhabitants of Earth. The season is split into three horror subgenres (cosmic horror, gothic horror, and folk horror) and is set in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts at different points in time.

The Pioneer: A group of college friends end up trapped in an old house one August on Martha’s Vineyard after an eldritch god possesses and kills each of them one by one.

I am the creator, producer, and lead writer of the podcast! The first 7 eps (aka The Pioneer story) have been written, but you're allowed to audition for the other parts! If you want to be in for the long haul (production from June to December at the latest), don’t mind the whole season not being written right off the bat/having my co-writers and I write as we go, interested in the story, and want to provide VA input, then this is the podcast for you!

Casting Call

Into the Frayed is a Fantasy Audio Drama, told via letters. It follows Vaughn - a fleeing Jinx - on their journey through Valfern, a world that is in constant turmoil with itself. The tone of the story is somewhere between grim and hopeful, leaning more towards the latter. 

And it needs your voice! Im looking for two VAs for my Proof of Concept and you can audition here!

The Proof of Concept is one Episode of ca. 30 minutes. The entire Show will be between 4-6 Episodes of the same length.

The Proof of Concept is mostly for myself: As a one woman show, I want to understand better how long production will take me before I jump in completely. I absolutely intend to finish this once I have mastered and published this first Episode. If you got the part in the Proof of Concept, you will (hopefully) hold that role during the larger production as well.

We will be recording between September and October and be done with production by the end of the year.

SPACE SPECKS Crew Call!

SPACE SPECKS is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi audio drama about the second end of the world and the people that refused to end along with it.

The pilot episode is currently in production as part of the 2024 @podcastjam , but we're looking for some additional crew members to jump into the remainder of the season with us.

As this podcast started during an event geared towards getting newcomers involved with audio drama, we want to encourage new creators who may be interested to apply regardless of experience.

The Dead is a Bloody FM production, seeking four actors to fill important ensemble roles in its first miniseries, a zombie horror story called “Precious Cargo.” Actors must have their own audio recording setup.

These roles are open to actors with Pacific Island heritage only. Other applicants will not be considered. We are especially interested in Vanuatuan and Fijian actors. Accents of any kind are acceptable. Actors of all genders are welcome to audition.

Yesterday we finalised the theme music for The Holmwood Foundation, and now have the sound files fully prepped for use in Episode One (!!!!)

Contracts are being drawn up for our leads and main crew members, ready for signing

Availability is being checked for recording dates with cast and crew for episode one.
