LETTER From Jonathan Quincey Harker to Mina Harker Transcribed for the Whitby Archives
Monday 19th August 1906 Dearest Mother,  I am writing to you today from the city of Amsterdam. Uncle Jack and I visited Uncle Abe and went to the Rijksmuseum together. It is a beautiful place. I was able to see a Rembrandt up close. I wish I were able to capture its beauty so I can bring it home to show you. Uncle Abe tells me that when he was a young man, this museum used to be a private royal collection, housed in far too small a room, but the new building makes it much easier to see the paintings.  After the museum visit, we visited the Foundation headquarters. Uncle Abe needed to rest, so he took his leave, as his illness made it hard for him to be present with us. It is sad to see him so frail, but when he has the energy he has much life in his eyes. I was fortunate to see Anna and Evelyn while we were there. Mikael sent his best wishes, but he was already travelling as they had been preparing for their work in the Carpathians. I am eager to join them. Uncle Jack said that when I finished my schooling I could ask your permission to go. I hope that would be okay with you, Mother. I very much wish to help. We will travel back to England on Wednesday by train, so we should be home before the 24th as we have made dinner plans. Forgive me, but I have found the perfect gift for you in Amsterdam, which I will save for that day together. Thank you again for letting me go on this trip. Perhaps when schooling is over, we can do some travelling together?  Love, Jonny

LISTEN TO THE HOLMWOOD FOUNDATION EPISODE ONE!
Now our Kickstarter is over, have a fresh link to our pilot to tide you over until the rest of season one arrives!
Hoping to release some fun snippets and extras on our feed as we go, so please be sure to follow us on Spotify, or anywhere else you get your podcasts!
WHAT IS THE HOLMWOOD FOUNDATION?
Our story follows Jeremy Larkin (Played by Sean Carlsen) and Maddie Townsend (Played by Rebecca Root), two co-workers at the mysterious Holmwood Foundation, as they are possessed by the ghosts of Jonathan and Mina Harker, and embark on a road trip across the country in an effort to achieve their ghost's wishes: to stop Dracula once and for all.
This is a story about identity and self discovery, family loyalty and devotion, all wrapped around a nightmare of a road trip with a rejuvenating severed head, incredibly sincere Victorian ghosts, and an analogue recorder

RECORDING TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDING MADE BY HENRIETTA MARTIN, 05/02/2024, HOLMWOOD FOUNDATION RESEARCH FACILITY, SURREY.
(SOFT CLICK AS RECORDING BEGINS) HENRI: Hello recorder! This is Henrietta Martin, LIMB Researcher at Holmwood Surrey. It issss… 11:38am on Tuesday, March 5th, twenty-twenty-four, and I am about to record a visual assessment of the hand. (BEAT) This is Assessment Record No. 5279H, by the way, for when this reaches Whitby. (FOOTSTEPS AS HENRI WALKS. BUBBLING LIQUID SOUNDS GROW LOUDER IN THE DISTANCE) So old Handy hasn’t done much since his last assessment. We’ve been keeping him submerged in the usual silver allium blend, but there’s no visible reaction yet. Might try upping the silver component, but my professional opinion is that we need to branch out; try acid again, like the 70’s, or liquid helium. Go old school with it, because nothing so far seems to make a dent (BEAT) Anyway… Asset is the severed left hand of a human adult. 7.9 inches from tip of index finger to just below the palm, slightly longer than average. Nails are long and healthy in appearance. Skin is pale and wrinkled, both from exposure to liquid and what we assume to be old age. Our last test placed the hand’s age at approximately 65 years when it was severed, although the tissue samples seem to continuously regenerate, so we know most dating methods are extremely unreliable. (BEAT) No visible signs of trauma, except for the point of dismemberment, which seems to be the only thing that sticks. All marks made during assessment No.5278h seem to have healed, which tracks with our previous findings. (BEAT) All in all, the hand looks exactly as it usually does. No immediate changes. I’ll make another visual assessment in a week’s time, and we’ll make our monthly examination on the 20th. So…look out for that, Whitby! (BEAT) Recording over. (SOFT CLICK) (RECORDING ENDS)

Note
If Dracula exists as a novel in this universe, do any of the movies or stage adaptations exist? Does Nosferatu? That’s got to be a bit of a trip if yes!
Per Holmwood Foundation protocols, anything that is released into the world relating to Dracula or vampires must be studied to ensure there is nothing in the text that may be of note, then properly stored within the archives. As you can imagine, this is not an easy feat. It's a task that used to be left to Interns, but after some irregularities, not enough archivists to carry the backlog, and Arthur's particular brand of humour, Jeremy was forced to take on a portion of the hell task himself.
Jeremy has seen Underworld. Jeremy has seen Twilight. Jeremy Has Seen The Dracula Ballet(s).

It is a core aspect of the man he is today.

Note
Misread the “Jonathan’s going to be kind in Jeremy’s body if it kills him” as the politeness killing Jeremy like Jonathan looks Maddie in the eyes and goes “I appreciate how hard you are working to keep us safe, I thank you sincerely” and the body collapses in a fit of pique
Jonathan KO-ing Jeremy with even the slightest degree of interpersonal politeness will never not be funny to me.
