still looking for artists
since i have a lot more followers now than last time i posted it;
i'm still looking for artists who would like to collaborate with me on a comic adaptation of chum. i am willing to handle the process of turning the existing web novel into a comic script. if multiple artists are interested i'm not averse to handling a paneling-inking-coloring sort of situation for increased rates of production, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves.
while i do not make a ton of money this *is* a paid job offer, i'm not interested in having people work for me uncompensated and i don't believe in paying people for "exposure". we can negotiate per-page rates as we chat - i'm committed to paying people their fair share for their work without lowballing even if it means i need to save up between issues.
having a consistent, professional art style and the ability to deliver relatively on-time without nannying are the only two requirements. being good at drawing action scenes and having an interest in superheroes helps. i've had many, many projects that have gotten bottlenecked by artist collaborators just... not doing it after the planning phase, going radio silent for months, and then being like "oh i forgot let me get right on that :)" and i don't want this to be another one.

STORY:
Things have changed on Irk since the Tallest died. The Admiral of the Irken Guard, Jak, has taken control, and everyone trusts he has their best interests at heart. Except for one person.
Bel always knew she was destined for something great, but she's been stuck in the twisted government system of Irk for way too long. She finally decides she's had enough, and starts the Irken revolution, but things backfire and before she knows it, she's a wanted criminal.
So, in fleeing to Earth, she runs into Dib, who agrees to help her twart Zim's next evil plan. But in moving to another school, Bel becomes friends with Dib's optimistic cousin, Star Newman. And Zim starts to reconsider a lot of things.
With new allies, new enemies, and a whole new life, Bel is ready to face anything and swears on her life that she will save Irk from it's corrupted government, and the Resistance will Rise to victory.

What even is this, anyway?
The Winchester Art Projcect has been a dream of mine for years.
I graduated from UEA with a 2:1 in Art History, and a pretty decent portfolio of my own work. It was IMPOSSIBLE to find art jobs as a new graduate! It was incredibly disheartening and made me turn to a life of (shudder) corporate.
That was 4 years ago, and now I've got a good bit of money saved up. I can finally achieve my dream of creating the opportunity I wish I had 4 years ago. New graduates (or new-ish) from any UK university, this is an
OPEN CALLOUT FOR ARTISTS!
requirements:
Must have graduated in the last 3 years.
Must have a portfolio of at least 5 pieces.
Must be based near (or near enough) to winchester, or grew up there.
The project will be a 'zine full of different winchester artists. It can relate to Winchester, or it can not! Any pieces in any style will be completely welcome. So, whip out an oil painting or draw a comic on a napkin, art is art! I'm looking for 7 artists.
I'm happy to say I can pay artists a LIVING WAGE hourly based on how long their piece took +£50 +10% of all proceeds. That means if you take 9 hours to produce a two-panel comic, you'll be paid £158, and get 10% of the proceeds!
