*Zim slowly awoke, getting up and stretching like a kitty would. He took in his surroundings as his eyes adjusted and realised..he was in Dib's room. On Dib's bed. What in the heck had happened? He wasn't sure he wanted to know. He needed to know though, didn't he? What if he did something..- no. Best to ask before jumping to conclusions. He spotted Dib asleep at his desk, in a..less than comfortable looking position. Zim pushed all his thoughts and questions down as he approached Dib, carefully lifting him from his seat and laying him on his bed. He put the blanket over the human and then gently stroked his hair, still trying his best not to wake him up. Zim then got up, grabbing his bag and went downstairs to see if he could make himself some breakfast*

Best part about this is how, canonically, Zim sided with the heroes. I do love the thought of him giving Plankton something to go invade a fast food restaurant (because god knows he would think that was what Plankton was aiming for).
