He hears the huffing sound again, hears the creak of wood moving from ahead of him. From where the fallen temple lies. A silence of building tension caused from the terror filling him as he listens to more sounds of movement, more deep huffs, as the wind moves almost in choppy, heavy, bursts towards him in a way that counters how wind naturally flows. Common sense screams at him to just lie there, close his eyes tight, and hope to make it through the night without attracting attention to whatever is skulking around near the fallen temple. But, Taehyung has always been a curious soul.

Summary:

Every couple of years there's a tournament for dragon riders. Meant to be more of a friendly competition between the different kingdoms and their respective dragon riding squadrons. Niki and Sapnap are something of a wildcard duo no one expected to enter. Especially since Niki had never really cared for them in the past. Niki enjoys proving people wrong.

Word Count: 2,807

Queen of Dragons features a Niki/Sapnap ship in a dragon alternate universe. Niki/Sapnap is not a popular ship, but it's important to have a variety. This fic is a fun read, mostly focusing on the action, so if you're looking for Niki being a badass this is it. There is still some fun ship content, and interactions with other characters. Also some worldbuilding. It's a fun read all around!

It was way over 9pm, which means it was past your little daughter's bedtime.

And yet not a strand of the white haired toddler could be seen throughout the mansion ever since the Crow Twins started a Hide-and-Seek game right after dinner hours ago.

You were getting worried, agitated even, and it didn't help that Sylus seemed so calm and nonchalant about it. His amused eyes followed your every step as you looked through rooms after rooms to find your little girl.

The deep chuckle he lets out when you stomp your feet in frustration, both hands planting on your hips as you glared up at him, "Are you going to help me find your little fiend or not?"

Sylus gasped dramatically, placing a hand over his chest in a feigned shock as he gazed at you with a pout. "Fiend? My dear, our daughter is an angel."

You rolled your eyes, storming towards him and poking on his chest with an annoyed grumble. "She will be an angel once you put her to bed now or you'll be sleeping on the couch tonight, my darling insufferable husband."

From the upper stairs, Luke and Kieran snickered quietly, not wanting to be the receiving end of your wrath. Their eyes flickered upwards towards the source of your headache then back to Sylus who coincidentally locked sight with the twins with a knowing look.

Luke and Kieran immediately straighten up with a playful salute as they disappear down the hallway, knowing full well you were going to whoop their asses sooner or later when Sylus finally revealed the whereabouts of his mischievous little daughter with an equally playful grin in his tone.

"Have you tried looking up, sweetie?"

You paused, confused until you looked upwards where Sylus oh so casually pointed, specifically towards the large antique chandelier in the middle of the room - where your little daughter was dangling upside down, her dragon tail curled firmly around the metal and her small wings fluttering excitedly as she let out a high-pitched squeal at finally being found by you.

Meanwhile you nearly had a heart attack right then and there.

"SYLUS GET HER DOWN HERE NOWWWW!"

Fun Fact! Even with Kai being Lloyd's favorite growing up, Cole took to Lloyd easier. Cole hopes if he ever had children, they would turn out like Lloyd.

It happened spontaneously, but I love AU. So… Avatar Hiccup. Hiccup considered himself an ordinary person before meeting Toothless. (Dragons can be equated to spirits, i mean relationships between people and them). Then he discovered his talent as an airbender and Toothless became his teacher. Later, other talents were discovered, which made it clear that Hiccup was an avatar.

Astrid became his waterbender teacher. Snotlout was an adept of firebender, but he sincerely did not understand how to teach, because he himself used magic on a subconscious level. Fishlegs is an earthbender, but he did not go beyond the amateur level and could not become a teacher. The twins are always on their own wave. Ruffnut is a master in airbending and can perform techniques with clouds of gas, while Tuffnut is not a master, but is ready to set fire to the gas with his sparks at any moment. The twins always come in a set.

Brothers Grimborn! Lord of Fire Viggo. The aesthetics of blue flame and lightning were created for him. So I couldn't resist. The hottest flame and deadly techniques of lightningbending made him the most terrible opponent for the young avatar, but in the future, he will become the teacher of fire magic for Hiccup. I endowed Riker with explosion magic, as for me, it suits him perfectly. An explosive mixture of rage and bloodlust.

Berserkers! Remembering Viggo's words about how the berserkers in ancient times lured the Skrills with metal, I thought about a tribe practicing metalbending. Dagur discovered his talent for earth magic much later, including metal. I like to think that Dagur could be a threat to the avatar even as an ordinary person, relying on his ingenuity and physical strength. Heather is a master of earth and metal magic, she could well become Hiccup's teacher in this matter.
