Me and a group of friends went to emo nite at the rave last night and it was so fun! I got to do my friends makeup too!!!! O’s dads pretty funny, he held O’s face while I put on the first layer of eyeshadow because he wouldn’t stop talking lmao. I really like his parents, they are pretty cool people. He was a very good canvas tbh, he didn’t flinch and was patient with me too :) Once I was done with his makeup, his parents said he looked like Robert smith from the cure, and I fully agree with them! O looked so cool in the black eyeshadow, and it really was a trip for me to see him in it <3

After that, we left to go pick up 3 more ppl. A couple, B and R, who killed it with their outfits! The bf (B) wore a leather skirt, knee high leather stiletto heels, and some sort of tshirt (which under he borrowed his gf’s bra to complete this almost-drag look). The gf (R) dressed to the 9s in emo attire, rocking the mcr tshirt and fishnets. Me n Him were Shocked to say the least when B walked out of his garage like that lmao it was insane, very proud of him!

Then we went to go pick up M, and she wore her homecoming dress and a cute jacket, it was pretty scene inspired for her inspo, and she killed it!!!!

Me and O forgot to eat before picking ppl up, so we stopped at chipotle for food in our full emo regalia. Imagine just 5 of the most emo teens you’ve ever seen, and put them in the most suburban chipotle Ever, we stood out like a sore thumb! It was honestly really freeing to just like wear my outfit in public because it was so emo and I consider myself diet emo on the best days so I was happy. We got so many confused looks but I didn’t care, I was hanging out with the people I loved :)

After chipotle, I drove us (on the freeway!!!) downtown to the venue, and got parking right across the street! Then I started to do B and R’s emo makeup per their requests, and both of them have cool bone structures and I loooove doing peoples makeup fr it’s so much fun!!!!

O had a surprise tho, he brought with a second shirt that he wore, that he didn’t want his parents to see >:) it was a black, lacy, long sleeved button up with a flowery design on it, it was very sheer so he wore a white tank top underneath. We all looked so sexy fr, like omg

We got inside at 9pm, but it apparently didn’t start til 10:30, which was said nowhere lol. All good tho, us 5 got to hang out for a while anyway so it was fun!

Once the set started by the emo nite dj, the room got so fucking hot like I was melting in my thick tshirt, but I only had on a fishnet long sleeve top that barely reached my collarbones and a bra, and no way was I gonna be showing my assets for free (at least not to the 30 year old crowd of millennials there lol)! O got hot, so he took off the tank top he had on underneath the sheer shirt he had on, and he offered it to me to wear so I wouldn’t be so hot! Dude I like him so much he doesn’t even know fr like (I’m so down bad for him) anyway I change in a bathroom into the tank top and put the fishnet shirt over it, it was a very cool outfit ngl, and thank god I wore a nice bra and not an old one, because I would’ve cried if it looked gross infront of him fr

We all were dancing and having fun, and then O has the great idea of getting up and dancing on the stage, and me and M were like ofc that sounds like fun! We managed to get on stage and we were dancing and singing so much, the photographer took several photos of us together in the cool lights on the stage, they will hopefully be put on the www soon so I can see them! I love candid photos and I wanna see how I look in candids as well :)

I was really trying to be flirty with him (O) last night, and i was dancing really close to him, like within a few inches of him. I love to see him dance, when he dances with his arms above his head and moves so fast, it’s mesmerizing and I can’t look away. Whenever songs came on that had lyrics about love, I would purposefully get his attention and make him look at me scream-singing along to them, hopefully he caught a hint PLEASE! I twirled him like a pretty princess, and that made me get a stupid smile on my face :)

The concert got done at like 1 in the morning, and while we were walking back to where I had parked my car, O said that he wish he could’ve gotten any hot goth girl’s Snapchat, and I casually said “Omg what about me? Aren’t I got enough for you???” And he was mad blushing after that comment, hopefully that signaled to him how I felt maybe? We stopped at a kwik trip gas station to refuel and for a late night snack, and it was again very comical to see 5 emo kids in a gas station in a suburban area at 1:20 in the morning lol.

I dropped M off first, I thanked her for coming with and she thanked me for taking her lol.

Then, O got in the passenger seat and started playing music on my phone that was connected to Bluetooth! He played the full album of “Good God!” By rio romeo, which if you don’t know rio’s work is very romantic and like sappy songs. We both knew all the words to the whole album, and R and B were in the backseat giving each other looks and stuff, I’m pretty sure they think that O and I are dating, and I really hope that O knew that too >:)

We then dropped off B and R, said our goodbyes, and we went on the way back to O’s house. We kept playing the album, even if it restarted once or twice. Before we turned into his drive way, he changed back into his tshirt he left in. The moonlight reflected off of his skin beautifully, and it caught in his eyes which shone like jewels. We were talking about how much fun we had, and then we got to his house, His sister was waiting at the front door to let him in, since it was 3 am everyone else had long since been asleep. I told him that we should hang out again asap, and that I was really happy that he came with tonight even though he doesn’t know a ton of emo songs. He said he had a lot of fun too, and told me to be careful on the roads and go like 20mph because of all the deer on the road wandering. I said I promise I’ll go slow, and I would text him when I got home to let him know I was safe :) I watched as he walked down the long driveway into his house, he almost was skipping inside. I kept the album playing. I started my way back home. I regret not making a move on him, I really do. I don’t know how much longer I can survive without knowing that he might like me back. He’s so beautiful and sweet, his eyelashes are so long they touch his brow-bones, his off white teeth are the same shade as mine, those blue eyes that ensnare my gaze whenever I turn to look at him, the way his face moves when he smiles, the crinkles next to his eyes, the way his hair falls on his head, his nose is just perfect, his body covered in small freckles like a strawberry, and his voice that makes me weak in the knees and could tell me to do anything at all and I would no hesitation. (I want to hear him make noises that I didn’t know he could make, and daydream about what he would sound like, and how I can get him to make those types of sounds >:3 )

Sorry for the sappy rant, I have feelings for him that I’ve never felt for anyone else before ever. I’m just a teenager hoping that their crush likes them back.

Anyway, on my drive home (15 mins) I was tearing up over the fact that I already missed him, and how I wish I could go be at his side forever, maybe fall asleep on his basement couch next to each other while watching a studio ghibli movie or live-streaming an symphony orchestra playing. I got home around 3:30, talked to my mom for a bit, let everyone know that I got home safe, and ate half a pizza. I went to bed around 4am, but I could barely fall asleep even though I was exhausted because I couldn’t get him off my mind long enough to fall asleep lol

I need to be straightforward with him about how I feel. I’m currently writing down these tumblr posts about him in a physical notebook, that after I tell him how I feel, I can give it to him and show him how long I’ve felt like this for him, and some of my most favorite memories I’ve made :) I’m such a romantic it kills me.

Ok I gotta go to bed now it’s 1:30 am.. I’ll be back hopefully soon with an update concerning mine and his relationship >:) wish me luck!!!

omg i can tell you about my sky experience =w=)

sooo im helping that lil prince guy and then he gets stuck in fucking eden for some reason. btw the quest before that almost made me cry because why was bro face to face with bae those dark dragons ☹ and why was he talking about living on a star. that's so sick. ANYWAY yeah now he's stuck in eden so i'm like. surely it cannot be thar bad. surely.

i go through that portal thing and everything was already so scary. because im delulu im so sure i can do this alone UNTIL. i see this ENTIRE FAMILY of players. like at least 5 or 6 all holding hands and one on someone's back. and im like if people are that prepared...there’s noooo way. so i just stood at the door like a loser <3 i did actually consider going alone until i looked at the lil wiki guide for sky and found out that eden is a literal hell on earth that takes pleasure in killing players for funsies =w=) absolutely terra bowl

in other news i unlocked that hairstyle that's two afro puffs ^.^ my sky kid looks soooo cute however why did i pay an arm and a leg for that. i had to use those special candles....it was sooo sad but so worth it

audie's the one i have the most lore about. he is genuinely on many levels a professional trophy husband, it's just that...he also has a ton of skills that he can whip out like a swiss army knife. a swiss army boyfriend? he's good at business, he's incredibly good at originium arts and swinging a big axe (he would basically be a duelist defender but that specializes in arts damage), and he's way more social than both encio and gnosis, so he fills that role in their team comp... all three of them are equally determined and capable and in a way manipulative, but audie is better at obscuring it by being friendly in a way that neither of them quite have down pat. so as much as they were a little weirded out at his appearance in their affairs, they do kind of need him sometimes. i can never quite decide if they're a V, a triad, or if audie just accepts that no matter what he does encio will be a little bit married to gnosis. but either way, they are quite tight when it comes down to it. because audie's family is minor and he's the only living heir, he kind of understood that he could either work his tail off on building a family legacy (a lot of work, a lot of resources, for little guarantee of reward especially since he would never actually be able to go super far) or he could hitch himself to someone with much more pull, and make himself invaluable. he decided to go for the latter, and so he's had very little illusions about how he does have certain roles this way. he has lower standards of behavior for himself and inhibitions in some senses than, say, shealtiel, who is, well, Catholic. he's the one of them who tries to at least get on with Enya but she's leaving him on read because, well, he can be as nice as he wants but he's still her brother-in-law and not even to the sibling she likes.

audie was educated in leithanien, which is how he got so good at arts. the greataxe, i think, is a notable martial art of the fuchsfrost line. foreign education, martial skill, and general good looks are what got him to stand out as an arranged marriage prospect. (aka, he had the least depressing biodata out of every eligible noble single in kjerag.) the meet cute was that he walked in, sat down, and basically said "you need a partner for political reasons because you're now the most powerful man in the nation and you simply can't keep being the keystone of this entire country, because a human keystone can fail. if you select me as your partner, i will be your right hand arm. man. your silly rabbit. do you call me that? it's up to you" and encio was sold enough to fake marriage about it. (then, of course, they realize they get along quite well and have good teamwork and chemistry and uh oh. thinking about the how do i tell my husband i'm in love with him reddit post.)

again this is all really self indulgent but i just quite like it, lmao. it's my oc and i make the rules. i'm cringe, but i'm Free.

TL;DR: Yuu & Grim are two souls in one body! Yuu's body, to be exact. They have magic, can switch who is in control of the body, and have loads of trauma! bc they are a science experiment :) Now they're in Twisted Wonderland!

This headcanons post is mostly about Yuu-Grim's relationships with the Heartslabyul guys! Another post w the Savanaclaw guys at a later date.

Riddle Rosehearts

Initially thinks Yuu-Grim are very well-behaved. At least when Yuu is in...in "control of the body"??

He doesn't understand, but he's not going to question what he thinks is someone being mad. He'll just make sure they don't break any rules.

Even so, he does treat them as just one person instead of two at the beginning. Not that it doesn't phase them too much

Except when RIddle's scolding Yuu even though Grim is the one who did it, so Grim gets mad and takes control when he feels Yuu clam up and feels scared

Remember my first post: whoever's in control of the body has their feelings more pronounced/felt !!

Post-Overblot (and getting a vague understanding of Yuu-Grim's traumatic past), Riddle is only more than happy to treat Yuu and Grim like the separate beings they are! It's the least he can do after they helped him through his Overblot.

The first person to suggest that they wear something to indicate who's currently in control!

Doesn't understand how calm the two are around Floyd (well, Grim less so, but only when Floyd's hugs start to hurt)

Ace Trappola

He's a real asshole in the beginning. Mocks Yuu-Grim for being "freaky" and "weird"

Post-Dwarfs Mine, he'll lay off the insults, but doesn't treat Yuu or Grim as separate people.

Yuu doesn't mind but Grim doesn't like it when Ace teases them

It's obvious when Grim's in control because Ace will find "Yuu" talking back to his quips

After confronting Trey in the library and learning you've been in a similar situation to Riddle's (and quickly deducing that's the reason behind Yuu and Grim insisting they're different people), Ace is quick to change his tune

Of course, he'll play it off when it's pointed out by Grim, but he just doesn't want to be too mean! Making fun of people is fun, but if it's trauma-related that so obviously affected someone?? Yea, no, there's no fun in that

The most protective of Yuu-Grim !!! He's gonna be the one to loudly correct others who don't correctly acknowledge whoever of Yuu-Grim is in control.

Deuce Spade

At first, he thinks it's just a moniker/persona like what a couple delinquents from his past used to have

He also thought "Grim" was Yuu's last name. Which the two found very funny and cute

He's always polite! He's the first person to treat them as different people, but only when it's obvious that Grim is in control

After the Trey-in-library scene though, he gets better! He tries his best to remember they're two different people in one body!

Like Ace, he's also protective of Yuu-Grim! Not huge on reminding others, but will threaten ppl who try to make fun of the two.

I don't have many other thoughts, Deuce is just a Good Boy TM. doing his best to be kind!!!

The one who reminds Yuu and Grim to check their bracelet and make sure it's displaying the right symbol

Cater Diamond

Thinks Yuu-Grim are a little eccentric but it's okay! He can work with it

Like Deuce, he tries his best to refer to them as separate people, but he does slip up

After hearing a little from Trey his speculations on Yuu-Grim's past and Riddle's Overblot, Cater does go out of his way to include both of them in conversation so it's more one-to-two than one-on-one talk!

Is the one to get the two something to wear that'll show them who's in control! It's a grey bracelet that's more of a wristwatch with its whole surface being an indestructible touchscreen. All it can really do is display one of 2 symbols though: a rabbit silhouette for Yuu, and a cat silhouette for Grim!

He got it from Idia, who was pestered into making it www

It was simple enough to make so it's okay ^^

Loves taking photos with Yuu-Grim! Pics w Yuu are guaranteed to be cute and pics w Grim are always fun bc Grim will either frown or smirk at the camera depending on his mood

Trey Clover

Like Cater, he thinks Yuu-Grim are eccentric but won't comment on it

Thinks Yuu is cute! Not entirely fond of Grim when he's angry, but it's usually a very childish tantrum so he's cute in a different way

After the library confrontation and Riddle's Overblot, Trey goes out of his way to make Yuu-Grim tons of sweets! He makes them fish-shaped to appease Grim

(Trey's happy when Yuu says it and Grim like it a lot and that it's "almost as good as tuna")

Suggests to Riddle that they should hold more Unbirthday Parties and smaller tea parties and invite Yuu-Grim. He doesn't mind the baking, really

Trey likes seeing Riddle and Yuu-Grim eat his sweets bc they're all happiest like that!

Babies Yuu-Grim. Just a little. A pinch of fussing never hurt anyone

(Yuu-Grim definitely don't mind)

Group

Cater and Deuce are the ones who try to use both of Yuu's pronouns!

Ace mostly sticks to they/them for Yuu but uses it/its in private when it's just their group

Trey and Riddle stick 100% to they/them. Very rarely they'll use it/its for Yuu just because they're not used to thinking it/its being pronouns for people

Since Grim just uses he/him, it's easy to remember his pronouns, but he's not in charge often, so the boys often slip up and refer to Grim with they/them

Not that Grim minds, lol

YESS of course!! okay so like-

1. the hand kiss. this moment went all the way to my number one for me because it's just so so sweet and you rarely see shane be affectionate on camera. the amount of gratitude, devotion, and love in that small kiss really sealed the deal for me. (pic from @/queerunsolved <3)

2. the indiana jones moment. god this moment was everything. i think this was really the first time we see shane be affected, or ruffled i guess you could say, by ryan. the way he's all playful before ryan comes in and the moment ryan steps out he's literally speechless by ryan's stunning look. i mean, really, who could blame him. i could talk about this moment all day tbh. (pic from @/queerunsolved <3 can u tell i love her blog dlkfjd)

3. the seance at the bellaire house. this moment was so so cute because this is when they were still like in the 'we're good friends but i'm still kinda awkward with physical touch' stage of their friendship. first, they are holding hands. second, i love it that shane was too busy staring at ryan for a full two seconds before he realized he had to read the thing on ryan's phone. and that cute laugh ryan made when shane started reading. third, when they let go they're just soooo cutely awkward and shy i love it so much.

4. the 'i love yous' during spooky small talk. literally the first time we heard them say i love you on camera. it was so sooooo sweet and we obviously knew they loved each other for a long time but to hear it is just so satisfying. there's no metaphorical wall between them and they're just so secure in their friendship and their love for each other it just gets me :')

5. the whole entire bowling date in tourist trapped and shane saying 'i know you do'. do yall see my pattern now lksdjf it's a lot of shane saying or doing something affectionate. the bowling date where shane gets ryan gin, his least favorite alcohol, and ryan saying 'you do know me' got me sooooo bad. they know each other sooo well and just knowing something small about each other makes me go apeshit. and shane saying 'i know you do' to ryan saying he does love a good taco (i think), it's just so intimate!! god anyways...

BIG shoutouts to these moments: shane winking at ryan in test friends, ryan calling shane big boy and shane getting flustered, the bar scenes in 3 horrifying cases of ghosts and demons, ryan saying 'family both given and chosen' referring to shane, ryan saying 'we took an oath' and how it's 'never broken', and finally when ryan said they'd practice dancing together in the shower in that theater www ep like that woman 100% thought they were dating

summary: Kelce invites Topper to a party after his break up with Sarah. That's where he meets you.

Topper’s break-up with Sarah took a toll on him. Of course, he was pretty heartbroken after finding out what was going on between her and John B. After all he thought that he had loved Sarah. At least that’s what it had felt like to him. That’s what he told himself.

For weeks, Topper moped around, barely leaving his room. He didn’t feel like going to parties, playing golf or hanging out with his friends. He just wanted to be alone so he could think everything through. Sometimes he even had trouble sleeping.

After a while, his friends became worried. Especially Kelce. Topper was his best friend. He found it was weird that he was acting like this over a girl. Even if this girl was Sarah Cameron.

So, Kelce decided that he was going to help his best friend get over Sarah. He knew that Topper would not respond to his messages or calls, so he just showed up at his house one day, totally unannounced. Topper’s mom let him in.

Kelce knocked on his bedroom door and waited for an answer. Topper mumbled a faint ‘come in’ from the other side of the door. Kelce then opened the door and walked in, seeing Topper sitting on his bed playing videogames.

“Hey, Top!” Kelce patted him on the shoulder as a greeting and sat down beside him. Topper just gave him a ‘hmph’ as an answer since he was so invested in his game.

“I’m throwing a party tonight. I think you should come.”

“No, thanks.” Topper didn’t even look away from the screen. Kelce stood up and pulled the plug, so the screen went black. “Dude, what the fuck?” Topper protested, throwing his controller across the room.

“You need to get out of the house. Like ASAP. You look like shit, to be honest.”

Topper rolled his eyes. “You think I don’t know that?”

“I’m just saying that you need to get out there again. Don’t let that bitch ruin your entire life.”

“Don’t call her a bitch.”

“Stop protecting her, you’re not together anymore.” Topper didn’t let it show but the words hurt him. It had been weeks since his break-up with Sarah. Maybe Kelce was right. Maybe he should get out there and be the Topper everyone knew. Fuck it.

“Fine. I’ll come to your stupid party.”

Kelce smiled in victory. “Be there at 10.” With that, he left. And Topper was all alone again. For the rest of the day Topper spent his time trying to look normal again. He tried to get rid of the dark circles under his eyes, make his hair look normal so it wouldn’t look like a bird’s nest, he even worked out. When 10 o’clock started rolling around, he walked over to Kelce’s place. His house wasn’t far away anyways. He didn’t like bringing his car to parties because he was afraid that something might happen to it. His mother would literally kill him.

“You came!” Kelce exclaimed throwing his arm around Topper. “I gotta introduce you to some of my friends.”

“What friends?” Topper asked sarcastically and Kelce rolled his eyes. “You’re funny.”

Kelce led him to a small group of girls sitting on the couch, chatting amongst themselves. You included. You had never been a big fan of parties but your friends had dragged you there that night basically against your will. But you were definitely going to thank them after your eyes met the one and only, Topper Thornton.

“Ladies.” Kelce plopped down between two of your friends, giving them both a smile. “I’m pretty sure you all know my good friend Topper.” He waved his hand, motioning for Topper to sit down as well. The couch was huge but it was mostly occupied so the only available seat was next to you.

“You mind if I sit?” he asked.

You shook your head. “Not at all.” He gave you a small smile as a way of thanking you and took his seat next to you.

Kelce started introducing your friend group to Topper and soon everyone exept you had been introduced.

“And last, but definitely not least, Y/N. She hates parties so go easy on her, Top.”

“Nice to meet you all,” Topper said politely, waving at everyone. Then turning to you, he said. “You hate parties, huh? Then what are you doing here?”

You sighed. “My friends dragged me here tonight. They said something along the lines of ‘you’re boring’ and ‘stop sitting at home every night, watching your stupid movies’ and so on.”

“Well, if it makes you better, I didn’t really want to come tonight either.”

“You didn’t? How come? You seem like the partying type.” You were honestly surprised.

“Just because. And what do you mean I seem like the partying type?” He didn’t want to bring up his break-up with Sarah. That was the whole reason he came here tonight. To forget.

“I don’t know. You just give off those vibes I guess.”

“Hmm fair.”

“Would you like a drink? I can make some really good ones.”

“I thought you said you didn’t like parties, but sure,” Topper said but still followed you into the kitchen.

“I don’t. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like to drink,” you said, winking at him. You gathered the different types of alcohol you needed and started making a drink for him. Once you were finished, you added some ice and then gave it to him. He took a small sip at first, almost cautiously.

“Oh, come on, grandma! You gotta down the whole thing!” you laughed. So he drank the whole thing and then placed the glass on the kitchen counter.

“That was actually really good.”

“I told you so,” you said with a knowing smirk.

“Okay, since you made me a drink it’s only fair that I make you one too.” He gently nudged you out of the way and started making a drink for you as well. You hoisted yourself onto the counter and just watched him. The way his muscles moved and how he bit his lower lip in concentration made you so attracted to him for some reason. But you didn’t feel bad about it though. He was attractive anyway. All the girls in Kildare were head over heels for him.

“Okay, here you go.” He handed you the drink and you took a sip of it. It surprised you that it actually tasted really good. You took another sip.

“Judging by the looks of it, you like it.”

“I love it,” you admitted, making him smile like he had won the lottery. He definitely felt like it.

“What do you say we get out of here? Considering the fact that we both didn’t want to come here in the first place…”

You didn’t even have to think before giving him an answer. “Sure.”

He took your hand his as he led you through the crowd of dancing people. When Kelce spotted you two leaving hand-in-hand he cheered which made the both of you laugh.

“We can go to my place,” he offered, thankful that his mom wasn’t at home that night.

“Yeah, sure, fine by me.”

You walked to his place, still holding hands. It felt right. Your hands fit together perfectly, like they were made to so. He asked questions about yourself, wanting to get to know you better. He was surprised how into you he was. He hadn’t thought about Sarah even once this evening and it actually made him happy. He was moving on.

He unlocked the front door and held it open so you could walk in first. “What a gentleman,” you said. He actually felt his cheeks burn up. You had made Topper Thornton blush.

“Aww are you blushing?” you asked, placing your hand on his cheek and swiping over it with your thumb. He gulped.

“I think we should watch one of your stupid movies. I have snacks.”

“Are you sure?” you asked. “Because I don’t want to bore you.”

“A hundred per cent. The living room is right there, I’ll go get the snacks.”

You walked into the living room, picked up the remote and chose something to watch. You thought about what he would like as well. A few minutes passed and he became back with a bowl of popcorn and two beers. He handed one of them to you and sat down onto the couch, placing the bowl of popcorn between you two. You pressed ‘play’ on the remote.

Almost half of the movie was over when Topper took the bowl from between you and placed it onto the coffee table that was in front of you. Then, he scooted closer and placed his arm behind you on the couch. You took the hint and leaned into him, putting your hand on his chest.

“You know what, fuck this,” you finally said and swung your leg over his so you were now sitting on his lap. You placed your hands on his cheeks and pulled him in for a kiss. Topper was surprised at first but recollected himself quickly and started kissing you back. It became heated really quickly and you had to pull away to catch your breath.

“This was not what I was expecting to happen tonight but I can’t say I’m mad about it,” he say before pulling you into another kiss.

sorry, but I need to talk about my Rook brain rot as a new player. I've seen people creeped out by Rook at 1st impression. Me? "I'm sure this guy will be like a sweet wholesome lemon tart but I wish he was actually sinister!" Turns out he - you might disagree, I have my theories lol - might be (lowkey) the most twisted/scariest char and I love it! He manages to be wholesome and cute too! I also still haven’t processed him being SECRETLY BUFF?? In conclusion: Rook is Illegally Sus and a Good Boy

Welcome to the TWST rabbit hole as I like to call it~

Rook’s definitely been an odd one to pin down 😅 I feel like he has a pretty bad rep not just in terms of first impressions, but overall.

A lot of it really comes down to people feeling disturbed by how he follows his peers around/invades their privacy or some of the comments he cheerfully makes, particularly directed at Vil. Rook can be both silly and also intensely unsettling in that sense, which makes him a somewhat polarizing character (at least in the international fandom). He also gets memed on pretty regularly for his haircut. It’s up to every individual fan to make the judgment call on that for themselves.

Speaking for myself, I also find Rook’s… weirdness to be very charming. He’s so happy all the time while also using that superfluous persona to mask the actual threat he poses to others and to keep his own personal details shrouded. Very clever of him to use such a diversionary tactic! It’s like a huntsman laying a trap for unsuspecting prey, which really suits his image. Rook’s capable of being both sweet and sinister, and I like that contrast.

You could tell Childe was nervous.

He’d been overall a bit more uneasy and fickle than he usually was--you had accepted that capriciousness is just a part of his usual disposition--but in the past few weeks or so, whenever it was just the two of you, it was like a switch flipped inside of his strange, little mind, so that he began acting uncharacteristically considerate. And you were fairly confident as to the reason for his behavior.

You and Childe had met a few months prior when the Fatui higher-ups assigned you two to take care of Rex Lapis situation in Liyue, almost as soon as he had laid eyes upon you, you could tell that he had a crush on you. And by crush, you meant a crush. Tartaglia acted like a giddy child around you, at least relative to the cold, hedonistic leader that he was in front of his subordinates. He would go out of his way to accompany you on whatever errand you were running at the moment, trying to make awkward small talk.

You played along, of course. This innocent, puppyish side of him was particularly endearing, and some little sadistic side of you savored the sight of the infamous Fatui Harbinger lowering himself from that pedestal of his to court you. When the day comes when Childe can prove his maturity and that he’s serious about you, you will not hesitate to take him up on his offer. But until then, you will relish the little game you have going on with him.

Today, you and Childe were assigned a handful of errands to complete for headquarters, and you begrudgingly made your way to Northland Bank early in the morning. To your surprise, the redhead was already there, patiently leaning against a pillar, as if he had been awaiting your arrival. Upon seeing you enter through the double doors, he started and stood up squarely, greeting you.

“Good morning, [y/n]! Fancy seeing you here”, he chirped, atrociously enthusiastic for this hour. You could tell he was a bit more uneasy than normal, as if anticipating something that you weren’t quite aware of yet.

You eyed him suspiciously. “Good morning to you too”, you responded. Going up to Ekaterina at the teller’s booth, you received the paperwork you were to deliver to the other agents stationed at the Liyue Harbor shipping dock. Upon accepting the briefcases of material and who knows what else, Childe hurried to your side.

He tugged at the bag in your grip. “Please, allow me to assist you”, he offered optimistically, flashing you his signature million-dollar smile. You chuckled internally--he was definitely planning something today, but you’d run with it. You were curious to see what the harbinger had in store for you.

“How kind of you, Childe”, you replied to his offer, handing over the bag to you. Your acknowledgement seemed to light up his face even more--his silliness was particularly amusing to you. Leading the way out of the bank, you and Childe made it back into the Liyue city commons, as the shops and kiosks were all beginning to open up and attending to busy customers.

The entire way to the docks, Childe could not stop yammering about archons-knows-what. His blabbering had even exceeded the usual amount, and your patience was wearing thin. One minute it was about the upcoming Lantern Rite festival, another minute it was about your plans to acquire the Geo Gnosis, of which you had to hush the redhead immediately for speaking so loudly about classified material out in the open. He promptly apologized and shut up for a while, much to your relief.

After delivering the material to your subordinates at the docks, you decided to confront Childe. You gripped his shoulder, forcing him to look at you, eye-to-eye. “Is something the matter?” you queried, a slight edge of concern in your voice. “You’ve been acting out-of-sorts all day.”

Childe looked back at you, eyes widening. He stuttered, replying, “No! Of course not.” He hesitated a moment, eyes looking anywhere but at you. “Whatever would make you think that?”

Relenting, you gave up on your interrogation. You knew if Childe wasn’t going to spill, then nobody in all of Teyvat could make him divulge his true intentions. It was probably best to change the subject and proceed. Since you both had the rest of the day open, with no responsibilities to fulfill, you took the liberty of inviting the jittery man to have lunch with you. Even when dining at the small food carts in Liyue’s residential neighborhood, and after you insisting that you would cover the costs of lunch, Childe still fought to the pay the bill, saying that it’s “his treat”, whatever that meant. Neither of you were short on mora, that you were sure of, but you could not recall anyone to which Childe was so persistently generous with his cash.

After spending the rest of the day wandering the city, shopping for weapons materials and whatever else (all of which Childe offered to pay for), the two of you decided to spend the rest of the evening watching the lanterns being lit along the harbor in preparation for the Lantern Rite festival. You had never been in Liyue in time to see the festivities and the city decorated in lights, and Childe knew how much you’d enjoy seeing it, so he took you to the best spot in the city.

As the sun was beginning to touch the edge of the horizon, the millelith and various other city officials begun propping up ladders down the main street, climbing them, and lighting up hundreds of rich, crimson red lanterns. Liyue truly was quite a remarkable place, with extremely capable people inhabiting it. At your side, Childe was also mesmerized, but not exactly by the glow of the lanterns lining the street. No, he was entranced by something much more valuable to him, yet not quite within his grasp. In this moment, the golden light reflecting in your wide, glassy eyes, he decided to take the plunge.

“Hey, [y/n]”, Childe mustered out his words, requiring much willpower. You shifted your attention to him, innocently unaware of what he was about to say. “I’m not usually one to talk about my feelings, as you probably know by now. But recently, I feel like there’s something that I should tell you,” he trailed off. He was fidgeting again, playing with his fingers inside of his pocket, but playing it off by obviously overcompensating in the degree of swagger with which he spoke to you.

So he’s finally doing it, you thought. “These past few months with you have been a blast, really. So uh...”, Child trailed off again. Archons, he was adorable but you were not a patient person.

“Oh Ajax, stop prattling and out with it already”, you chided. Using his birthname would certainly get a start out of him.

You could almost see the steam fizzling from out of his ears as he finally relented. “Gah! Fine!”, he huffed. “I really like you [y/n]! And... I was hoping we could go out! Like not as colleagues, or friends—that is, if you consider me a friend—but more like...”

You finished his sentence for him. “As girlfriend and boyfriend?”

It was hard for you to tell with the lanterns casting a uniform red glow over everything, but Childe’s face turned a bright shade of crimsons, making his freckles even more visible. “Yes! If you are interested... of course.”

You chuckled behind your hand, trying not to make a fool out of your partner, who was clearly trying his best. Seeing the harbinger this unsure was really the most amusing thing you’ve witnessed in a long while. Teasingly, you put the boy out of his misery.

“Why, I thought you’d never ask.”

First off, I am super glad to hear that you're fine with long asks www. I absolutely adore having long conversations and dicussions like these that have a wide array of topics to discuss about. It's just so much more fun!

In response to my previous ask, it's quite a shame that we won't get Venti as a potential love interest after knowing how powerful he really is :( Freedom was such a double edge knife during that age and time that Venti having a personality to reflect that would have been so interesting to see. Does he get more appearances in the common routes or is his cameos exclude to a certain route?

Also, talking about types, I have a really funny story about it that cracks me up from time to time. One night, my friend expressed an interest in FE3H so I began introducing the cast to her over the call. It took quite a long time since ya know how big of a cast it is so after introducing everyone, I jokingly asked her who did she thinking was my favourite character and she, without a single hint of hesitance, said "It's Ashe, isn't it?"... to which I replied "h o w" in the most shocked voice I could muster. Because??? Yeah we've been friends for a long time but??? She barely even knew these characters??? How did she know that Ashe was my favourite???? And then she laughed and said that he just seems like the guy that I would like according to all my past faves and I HATE that she's right. (Carmen, if you're reading this by some chance, I still hate you for this/j)

That Dainsleif ramble was very very wholesome. Give me a moment to pull up a seat so I can listen to you ramble more about this man <3. It's the least I could do after you've read all my ramblings about tighnari so far ww Oh, but don't think I'm doing this out of obligation, I am genuinely interested in why you're so attracted to him and I think it's really cute! Yeah don't spend any money until you're at least financial stable on your own. It's good to spend money on games cause it supports the game developers and allows them to continue working on the game but as players, we have the responsibility of spending rationally and not falling into a financial crisis for simple entertainment

Voices are such a big criteria for me when it comes to picking my faves. That's part of the reason why, as much as I love Albedo, I can't like him as much as Tighnari or Xiao because his CN voice is so,,,, it's just so different from the others. I think Khoi just did too good of a job voice acting for him to the point that Khoi's voice is just The Albedo Voice(tm). Aether/Scara's CN VA did such a good job voice acting for both of em, especially in the recent prelude archon quest which is just (chef kiss) beautiful, spectacular, amazing.

Finally, a few words to some of my fellow anons.

Venti appears in all routes, some more explicit than others, like let's say in Diluc's & Scara's he's VERY involved (and Heizou's tired of him) while in routes in routes like Alhaitham he's barely there at all. Haha looking at my outline now, kinda love how Venti's just sneaking around in some routes and is just referred to monikers like "thieving musician" haha!!! He's something of a lil prick (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

Okay but why did I also actually went "bet Ashe's your fave" when I was just reading how you're telling 3Houses to your friends 😭 I don't even know why– there's an aura of wholesomeness with you– not in an insult "naive" way heck no, but like "you've seen things and you're not gonna follow that example" way? Idk it's just the way you type these asks hAHAHAHAH– (I think you can tell from how I write readers that Ansy is a bit of a sadist by drawing sht like this and using it for angst–)

Also same. One of the biggest factors for me when pulling is honestly the voice. Why else would I save MONTHS for a faceless character who only showed up in Itto's trailer to get his C3 and R1???? THAT'S RIGHT BABY I AM DEDICATED TO YOUR VOICE, AYATO. YOU HAVE DIMITRI'S VOICE AND TSUDAKEN AS YOUR JPN VOICE. I agree Khoi's voice is amazing (have you heard him sing in french?) and Scara's CN & ENG voice are tempting me to pull for him but I mustn't.

... hoo boy you really wanna read a rant about Dain? *Clears throat* I'll just give you a brief context lmao:

But for real, most characters I have a crush on start with me going in an enemies to lovers route with them. Now usually when I get a husbando I start being in complete denial and won't stop slandering them (playfully) while my friends point out I'm a tsundere. I am not aware whenever I like a character or I just really loathe them. You have to stage an intervention for me to realize things.

Exhibit A&B: Childe and Diluc. Never knew I actually did like him until my friends started saying "sus" all over again until I realized "sht, you right, I am sus." That's the painful cycle of being Ansy's favorite. Although I don't think I see Childe in that light anymore, that doesn't mean I didn't joke about how I made him wait in the Liyue restaurant for months to take a vacation and came back with a tan cuz I dislike him lol. I'd go into detail as to how my "tsundere"ness made my friends start a fic chain about yandere!isekai!diluc but I won't.

There are two husbandos I've never had that with and they remain my most faves, which is Dimitri and Oda from BSD. Now those two? They're the peak of the things I love about a character. I felt like I had a friends to lovers arc with them instead.

Dimitri's kind but has a feral side with him while Oda is similar except he's poetically but disastrously apathetic in life. What they have in common however, as I have recently realized, is that they both die.

Jk, it's cause they're both self-sacrificing!... Yeah and that also 99% of my husbandos die–

When I first got to Dain, not a single day was spent without me calling him Genshin!Dimitri or Dimitri in Genshin Art Style. I liked his looks– lord I love his cape his hair his eyes the way he's dressed. He's so pretty.

And so, like usual, I kept slandering him like my other then-husbandos lmao.

I kept making jokes that he's my husband that went to buy milk for the last 500 years and forgot to come home. I also kept joking that I keep forgetting to finish his quest + We Will Be Reunited and he's been waiting in wolvendom for weeks lol. I was a Razor main so I made jokes that he doesn't visit his son often anymore... That information is absolutely irrelevant but I just wanted to share that hAHAHAHAH–

... so why did I brought up Dimitri and Oda? Other than the fact that Dain is basically Dimi's twin brother from another franchise, they feel like a merge between those two if that makes sense.

Dain feels like what would've happened if Post Time Skip Dimitri (PTSD) never got his classmates to help him and went on to quell his anger by himself and he succeeded so now he doesn't know what to do. It doesn't help that Yuri Lowenthal delivers these lines like PTSDimitri's low voice. He also carries the same calm and jadedness Oda has for life. Dain narrates things like he's an outsider in the same way Oda feels rather disconnected with his own life. There's also something poetic about the way he speaks, like how he described the abyss mages as the claws and fangs, etc. Dain's humble and acts neutral like Oda too.

Dain's like the perfect mixture of these two for me. Cuz unlike most my husbands he's immortal so he can't die right?

And, idk why, but I feel like out of all the characters I know, Dain wouldn't hate me so much? I think I'd annoy Dimitri a lot and Oda wouldn't know what to do with me. I feel like Dain and I would have a perfect balance on speaker & listener during conversations.

It also doesn't help that Dimitri's ISFJ and I'm ENTP so if I ever have a friendship with Dimitri I'd be like Claude 2.0 but worse and Oda might think I'm Dazai but not s**cidal

Dain absolutely has a calming presence. He's the type who, if you're both comfortable, would hug you from behind and place his head on the crook of your neck every morning to show that he loves you. And he doesn't even have to say it cause you'll feel it. He's been through a lot and he would be hesitant to be with you but the moment you hug him back he'd crumble and he'd lean his cheek against your palm. Can you imagine it? Can you imagine his morning voice? If you can't, recall the moment he said "find a way... To stop that thing!" but make it c a l m e r . That's right. Wouldn't you want to hear that same voice say "Good morning"? C'mon. You get me right?

Dain's also pretty sassy. I like that in a man– he hasn't lost his sense of humor after gaining immortality lol. Plus he's smart but not in an Alhaitham type of way but in a street-smart manner, which for me is 100x more attractive. Another unlike alhaitham is that he's not arrogant haha. He knows how he should conduct himself with the archons and he's not totally blinded by grudges (which is why I also love Kazuha) but boy oh boy would I love to see feral!past!Dainsleif who tries to fricking war against these archons it'd be fun af. Trust me, I adore PTSDimitri's feral sht but the way he slowly gained his sanity made me fall for him HARD.

Lord I would go on for days so I'll stop

Tldr, I love him a healthy amount and I feel like I would have a cordial platonic friendship with Dainsleif lol

they skip half of the plotline of iden and straight away make it clear that everyone knows who the touken danshi are . and the fact that they know they are living in an abandoned timeline. no existential conflicts here?

takayama ukon, I think, as far as I can remember, is the first sute human ive seen that justifies not killing the touken danshi on the basis that they have the same hearts as humans, and are not mere objects. He’s so emptathetic towards them it almost makes me uncomfortable bc well….we know whats going to happen in the end .

jizou running away with gracia is the softest portrayal of a touken danshi denying his duty we’ve ever seen. maybe its the hand holding, treating gracia like she’s fragile.

Urghrjdnf I know it’s a world that came into existence from gracia’s wish but hearing don francisco say “what if we let her be free?” leaves a bad bad taste in my mouth. Sure it may be what she wanted but does she anymore? Isn’t she already supposed to be free in this new world? But then again, would her happiness ultimately lie in her husband living like a depraved madman…..? debatable.

i feel terrible for the honmaru that lost their daisanbutai...all six swords broken in one investigation....*logs in to my honmaru to poke all six of them to make sure theyre ok*

(A bit of an aside, but I find it funny how some of them still have flower petals on their costumes www. Chougi looking fully serious while having a petal lodged in his cape as if just seconds earlier he wasnt dancing. and shishiou scattering petals in his wake as he runs.)

SITTING AROUND A FIRE HOW CUTE. i forgot that this scene in almost its entirety was also in kahakugeki, because this time it’s a completely different setting and theyre doing something other than walking. this feels more lively :)

they discuss a little poetry! specifically the poem kokindenjunotachi recites in the incoming call. kidengumi poetry discussion session in full swing! i still am surprised to find out shishiou also liked poetry bc his former master was an accomplished poet, and also that chougi and nikkari are well-read in old literature. I wonder if that was their own acquired knowledge or from kasen's influence.

feels like everyone has an appreciation (or at least, an understanding) of the arts that kasen likes ("please group me with people who understand elegance").

kasen voice: in most cases the 'uta' you're talking about is not the 'uta' I'm familiar with! (he mustve heard a lot of kotegiri's songs already.)

I love how kasen and nikkari have this exchange between them, where nikkari consistently sees right through kasen and his discomfort and frankly cuts right to the point. nikkari’s role here is to act as a foil of sorts to kasen.

I feel like. kotegiri and shishiou bring the much needed light-heartedness to this unit. tsurumaru, koga, mutsu and horikawa did that in iden but in kiden we’ve got like. more somber characters havent we. like seriously in any other setting I wouldnt imagine characters like kasen and nikkari doing an enthusiastic group shout . (kikkou looks at chougi bc hes the only one not doing it lol. and i think nikkari also gestures to chougi to go along w it

so the farmers mention that katō kiyomasa was defeated and bc of that the christians made kumamoto-jo their hideout. looked him up and....this guy was absolutely brutal towards them....stabbing pregnant christian women and cutting off their children's heads. making kumamoto castle a christian place feels like the ultimate fuck you to kato kiyomasa.

seeing kasen give out instructions feels so..........and everyone looking at him. thats his unit. thats his daisanbutai. thats their captain. and hes such a trustworthy captain <3

the reason why nikkari’s so set on poking kasen about his ‘mukashinajimi’ is definitely bc kasen is mysteriously reluctant about to bring it up (shinpaishite iru yo). in kahakugeki kasen begins to say kokindenjunotachi’s name in the first scene when nikkari cuts in and i wish theyd have kept that little bit in kiden. i think kasen......definitely didnt want to face his past. ive said enough abt that in well...a lot of posts. but also, i think he was also a little fearfulof what meeting old friends would mean. itd be too many coincidences, wouldnt it

it just occurred to me that tadaoki, most definitely, like in giden, thought kasen was a geisha just standing in the middle of his way. just like that. thats why hes like ???????????

oh man. kasen. it mustve fucked him up to see tadaoki like that. i feel like having watched kahakugeki took a little shock out of it bc we all expected it, but it really mustve been a massive shocker and eye opener to kasen to see what a fully christian country entailed. i really like how the three sets of touken danshi move to different places to gather intel; kasen + nikkari going to the crowds near the castle to observe them (i loved the bgm here), chougi + kikkou slyly making their way to the church, shishiou + kote going to a restaurant. it feels characteristic to each of them.

kotegiri’s wavering confusion at the sight of tadaoki........i love how touken danshi retain their former master’s bonds and feelings toward the people in their lives. in a rudimentary sort of way kote must have felt like he was looking at his father.

well. can you really blame tadaoki for wanting to kill gracia? actually no this isnt really a story about who bears the blame. if you try to search for moral validity in this play youre going to spend eternity here. its simply a story about desire. in kidens case, gracia gaining something meant making tadaoki lose something, namely his wealth, title, lands, perhaps even sanity. and because of that he hates her. but because of his memories he also loves her. and thats the central conflict of his character.

like ive always thought: in tkrb there is rarely black and white morality, what they define as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ depends upon whether they can carry out their orders and protect history, and thats also apparent in a few later scenes. its the fact that the swords are drawn from so many different stories (+ also the fact that modern morality has no business being applied to the people of yore. also re: the oda swords’ different views on oda nobunaga. hasebe hates the way he did things, but yagen thinks it was fitting for a man of that period) ok ive derailed enough lets go back to the play !

right before meeting him, a strong wind blows over kasen and nikkari . personally i think that “wind” that notoriously blows in some scenes is a sort of euphemism for kokindenjunotachi -> in the keichou kumamoto chousa in the game he tells us to call him kaze at first. ofc, this is just a speculation but it ties in with later scenes too so bear w me

i love how kokin straight up lies to them ‘i called you so we could recite poems’ kasen is right to see through his bullshit jkdsnvjk. still, i think kokin was sly to have waited until he was sure they were trustworthy and strong enough to handle the mission to formally tell them the details of what happened.

this little exchange between kokin and kasen is my favourite bc it says a lot without many words. its almost like a fight between siblings but not exactly, kokin has this emotional distance that kasen cant get through to. id liken it more to a father-and-son thing. the son never being able to understand his father is such a famous trope isnt it? thats whats happening here. kokin’s got something up his sleeve and kasen is dissatisfied bc he cant guess what it is and why kokin’s keeping it from them.

NOW kokin trusts them after they rescue him. he suddenly goes all serious and then says those words like theyre coming from his heart.......in this investigation, he specifically asked for kasen didnt he? it wasnt like iden where hizen called for all competent touken danshi. i suppose that was part of his plan as well, to strengthen kasen (we dont get to know if like in iden, the saniwa deliberately also wanted kasen to grow. its simply not mentioned but the mission pays off doesnt it?). what a roundabout way to do it tho. though, kasen wouldve been petulant if he Knew what this investigation was meant to entail right from the start. thats why kokin couldnt fully go into the details right away.

i came to the stunning realization that this scene references the scene of The Last Supper. but ofc.......there are supposed to be 13 people in the painting, but ukon and yukinaga and gracia aren’t there. i initially thought gracia would be representative of jesus, but she’s betrayed them and run away right? jesus is the one that stayed and was killed. with that logic, it’s otomo sourin that’s symbolic of jesus since......well........he gets betrayed in the end. this is a table of traitors.

this scene is significant in so many ways 1) we dont have enough scenes in tkrb where touken danshi are subtly given the position of unbending, ruthless, unnegotiable villains. 2) it reiterates what we already know: that protecting history is a touken danshi’s instinct. 3) it makes a distinction between the concepts of ‘instinct’ and ‘justice’ 4) kikkou likes to wave at people 5) chougi is the more passionate one, kikkou the cooler, level-headed one.

God. Isn’t it ironic how jizou prays to his god so that he can preserve gracia’s connection to her god? (note: in kahakugeki he only used one hand for this line, in kiden he uses both)

Hmmm aren’t flowers ephemeral and fragile? I understand where jizou’s coming from, heck my guess for what he’d call her was also a flower, and why kokin calls her a blossom of the Hosokawa, but I cant help but wonder if that’s a way to simply emphasize her weakness and inability to live as she liked, having her life mostly dictated by the men around her. Tadaoki’s the only one who calls her a snake, capable of biting back. The same snake that threw humanity into sin. Ironically enough it’s the person who loved/hated her that could understand her. But then again, its tadaoki’s heart inside jizou that’s also calling her a flower. Honestly she can (and does) symbolize both.

The reason im so glad they paired up Kasen and Nikkari is bc both of them are haunted by the sin of what they killed, and seeing them get along so well, like they know each others intricacies, what the other is thinking, its like a genuine bond.

Ok and now one of the most emotionally charged scenes ever………..

hmmm how to put this simply. it’d be easy to leave it as simply ‘straight married couple argument’ but it begs a more deeper nuance than that. lets see. gracia and tadaoki meet for the first time in what is probably, a long time. all this time tadaoki was so worked about hating her and wanting to kill her and yet his first instinct is to let out all his pent up feelings and.....cling to her........ ‘why did we become this way?’ ..........even though they loved each other and were married for over 20 years, held on even through akechi mitsuhide’s betrayal, tama’s conversion. ….how were they reduced to this? Its precisely because of that bond that gracia asked him to kill her, and precisely because of that bond that tadaoki couldn’t. its so so simple to say what we want to do but when the reality of the situation catches up, can we really stay the same?

and tadaoki’s last words to her were literally ‘my snake’

and thats her breaking point. shes literally driven to hysterics. and she didnt want to ascertain tadaoki’s heart....she simply wanted to be forgiven (the reasons that cut the deepest are the most simplest ones) for the sin of hating the person she loved.

but,,,,,,,as much as i loved thisscene, as much as i couldnt bear to watch it in consequent rewatches,,,,,this gracia isnt the real gracia.....she just isnt. the humans in altered timelines never are.
