Hisohoma still Hits me even after nearly 5 years after first reading Mystery, oh my god. To take care of someone who's troublesome, to love someone despite their flaws, to try to understand someone despite how difficult it is. Homare feeds Hisoka marshmallows and takes care of him and is deeply deeply in love with him, and Hisoka repays this by trying to understand Homare when he's not honest, by fixing the pocketwatch because he believes that Homare doesn't want to let go of it, by putting a blanket over him, by letting him know that yes, Homare IS needed. He's needed as an actor, as a friend, as someone completely necessary. Even if he's weird and blunt and can't tell what people are thinking, he IS needed. Homare and Hisoka NEED each other. And Homare will continue to care for Hisoka no matter how blunt he is, no matter how much he pretends to push him away. They just keep trying to understand each other, even if it isn't easy!! It's so sweet and so odd and so perfect.
