They are so close and yet so far way from each other!#Fundamentally they *agree* about many things - but JC now has to play the role of someone more 'mature'.#His temper is reigned in and he had to take a more nuanced approach. Whereas WWX can be far more reactionary.#JC has changed to become someone more mature (or at least he is trying).#Contrast this attitude with the scene *right* after where WWX literally goes baby mode with JYL. Rolling around going “I'm Fwee years old”.#When children are hurt we comfort them with hugs and warm food and a laugh. It's not enough when you're an adult. It's not simple anymore.#WWX is stuck in the past when everyone else is shifting and moving on! It's a depression allegory (and just...actual depression)#But we also get to see how some things have stayed the same. They still bicker about soup. They still tease. They are still together.#They all care for each other very much but they are struggling against trauma and are not equipped to talk about it.#You can't really blame WWX for being so protective over JYL. But JC is right: “You don't have a say in who she likes.”#It may have started as an arranged marriage but *she* is *choosing* what her heart wants. JC sees that. WWX cannot.#The final act of love is letting go after all.

Feel free to reuse this idea but 24 hours are not enough for me to finish an entire comic. I could have taken the simpler prompt but nOOOOOO timeloop is too tempting. Past me why are we like this

#svsss #shen jiu #yue qingyuan #qijiu #qijiuweek2024 #the basic idea for this was that both yqy and sj remember each loop #the loop started after their individual deaths in PIDW and resets them to close to disciple era #aka the time Yue Qi was in the caves and SJ presumably got away from the Qiu household or was already with Wu Yanzi #I imagine the first few loops they qi deviated so hard from the shock that they didnt even make it like 1 hour in the loop before beingrese #and then had a few loops just fucking around and finding out #eventually they realise that the other has the memories of all loops and so begins the talks and figuring how tf they can get out of this #maybe they resolve their issues with the promise or not your choice tbh #they try different plans and methods #but they keep dying (read: SJ keeps dying first and YQY either dies or sewerslides not soon after) and getting reset with no end in sight #until the last pages where the svsss timeline begins #SJ got replaced with SY and the system isn't letting YQY join him in death or smth nor letting him do anything about SY being there instead #And due to their closeness from being immensily tired from all the loops #YQY notices it immediately but can't do anything about it #the bonus for SY is that this timeline was very kind to LBH & co - 79 figured by now that keeping him in the sect and happy was their best #bet at staying alive - or well at least for longer #I'll continue this storyline in one of the future prompts of this qijiu week #btw the one with the cliff is just the whoopsie daisy timeline where SJ accidentally falls into the Abyss trying to keep LBH from falling i #79 had a bit of a good laugh about that one #cw death #cw violence #cw blood #cw angst

dandelion is indeed the worst but if he’s not present in the next book i would legitimately be sorrowful as the whole thing will become a slog . you basically cannot have the “short stories” era-of-the-timeline iteration of geralt without dandelion, it would be like eating unbuttered bread.

though it’s not like season of storms did them dirty, i wasn’t disappointed with it (… with regards to them), but since it’s literally been over 20 years since the saga was finished i’m trying to prepare for any potential reality

okay lol mini rant in the tags sorry i just HAD to get this off my chest 😭 sorry if this is very incoherent and poorly worded or structured or whatever i'm just. pretty out of it and i cannot really think to write this properly. well, that or i am probably just illiterate actually. Yeah that's it lol

#why are friendships so complicated #in my last year of senior high school at an all girls school #i transferred last year #and it's just cliques left and right #they all hate each other #i'm the type of person who can vibe with all of them even if their personalities are very very different #i am kind of friends with everyone in the sense that i can find common ground and have interact comfortably and enjoyably #my friend group from grade 11 (theyve been friends w each other for so long and i was the newcomer) dissolved this year bc things went down #i dont know the full extent of what happened #but those five friends split and three have merged with another group #the group that isolate my other two friends and seem to not like them #at least the “leader” of the group anyway. Not so sure about the rest #and now i am stuck in the middle lol. I have other friends from other groups but they have their own groups #the three girls already have each other and the new group (it's kind of a mix of me excluding myself on purpose and them not including me #in things presumably bc i am still “close” with my other two friends they don't like #it is a weird dynamic because me and the other group the three other girls merged with can vibe with each other #we can laugh with each other and enjoy each others company when theyre not talking shit (they rarely do it in front of ppl so i havent rlly #seen the full extent of it)#and also my two other friends are obviously closer to each other than with me since theyve been friends for way longer #i remember i had a conversation with one of my friends from the three girls that split away #it was something like i have to tell the class this and that etc since im the president #and i am not a very assertive person i am also very scared of being disliked. ((If anyone ever wants to write with a scruffy, kind of (unintentionally) goofy, sweet but still totally animalistic, former prisoner, werewolf-esque, character (complete with wolf tail) who has read a bunch of self-help books and who is super committed once he falls in love, and who also just so happens to be from a post-grand-fairytales fairytale realm full of magic and chaos and all that good stuff... just, ya know, let me know <3))

#ooc.#about:Wolf #((He's still my favorite and I love him so much <3 I've rewatched this series at least once a year since it came out.#And if you want to watch a miniseries that deals with mental health issues and the relationships between mothers and daughters #and fathers and daughters; a mini series that offers silliness but also a lot heart and also a surprising amount of insight;#a series that deals with trauma and PTSD and abandonment issues in a way that's approachable and relatable but also so heavy hitting #that it makes you want to cry just a few minutes after you were laughing at something else #and also which handles it through the lens of familiar fairytales / fairytale tropes and (as such) reminds us of some of the actual morals #in these fairytales and also the lessons we can learn from them WITHOUT just retelling the stories we're all at least somewhat familiar wit #(because the parts of it that take place in this fairytale world take place AFTER the grand period of these fairytales and we're now seeing #the aftermath of them all and the cyclical nature that exists in history / the human experience even inside of a world of fairytale logic)#then this is TOTALLY the show for you. Seriously I can't say enough good things about it.#AND IT'S ALL ON YOUTUBE WITHOUT ADS! SO EASILY ACCESSIBLE!!!!#It's about a girl and her father in NYC who (through some shenanigans involving a dog who is actually a prince trapped in the BODY of a dog #end up in the realm of the 9 kingdoms where all the fairytales are true- or they WERE at one point. Now things are a bit... different.#They have to try to find their way back home from here and there's a ton of life lessons along the way #and a lot of self discovery and a TON of silly antics. And it's a bit dated in parts for sure but not really overly so. It still holds up #really well. ANYWAY- I just think it's the best and it deserves all the love and attention <3 #And now that the podcast interview my friend did with Simon Moore (the creator) has come out I can FINALLY say-#THERE'S A SECOND BOOK COMING SOMETIME SOON! SO ALL THE MORE REASON TO GIVE IT A WATCH!))#((ANYWAY- I'm very passionate about my love for this show and in total it's only about 7 hours so it's a fairly quick watch all things #considered. And I know it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea but my GOD is it so hard hitting and satisfying especially at the end <3))#((I'LL SHUT UP NOW))
