⛄ for our muses to build a snowman

For as much as Nadia loved Christmas, she tended more towards the material side of things -- parties, shopping, gift-giving, the flashy side. The snowy side, though, she didn’t have a lot of experience with, considering every year she headed home to her hot, sandy desert after exams, and returned when the Christmas spirit had faded. Fake-dating Mateo, though, meant that there were lots of day trips to Arendelle to keep up appearances. And just to have fun, too. Their ruse wasn’t all just for show; Nadia felt like her “boyfriend” was quickly becoming one of her favorite people, and the day she was supposed to come compete in the Arendelle snowman making competition with him, she was more worried than she cared to admit about impressing him. He probably crushed this every year, with his snow-loving cousins or Allah knew who else on his team; this year, their deal meant he would compete with her, despite her lack of snow-sperience. When her driver dropped her off at the competition spot, Nadia was practically waddling under the weight of all the possible accessories she’d bought -- scarves, vegetables, even a few gemstones that might give their snowman the prettiest eyes of the bunch. “Hi, Matty!” Nadia exclaimed as she caught sight of him, dropping her bags to her side to wrap him up in a hug. “This is going to be so much fun,” she exclaimed, pulling her phone out of her pocket and snapping a selfie of herself kissing his cheek to post for show. She hit upload, then turned to survey the snow-creatures that people had already started to build across the competition area. “So like, what kind of snowman are we going to have to beat?”
