Honestly I wish there was more Amechu and black triangle, the contrast and similarities of rusame could also be applied to Amechu and I wish the fandom would take advantage of it

unfortunately the fandom refuses to take advantage of it because most people here just don't care about yao LOLLLLLL...alfred and ivan are both very popular characters in their own right so naturally their ship will have that advantage. and I love rusame! their dynamic is so good! but it is INCREDIBLY baffling that amechu does not get that same level of love from the fandom when their ship dynamic would logically be what most ppl see rusame as if not even more fucked up and toxic lol. it's the way that they are so similar in their self-absorbedness and their love for money and power and material things and it's ALSO the way they could be juxtaposed as the ancient dark-haired androgynous being who knows what it's like to be at their lowest and knows how to play the long game versus the young blond-haired archetype of the all-american boy who rose to the top and has stayed there and is terrified of losing it all and it’s also yao saying to alfred “america…we’re friends, right?” in the most unserious NEKOTALIA STRIP.....okay I'm in my feelings about them rn. but I digress.

some unreasonable gripes i have about assassin's creed iii after being 250 hrs in on a hunt for the ps platinum trophy: a list brought to you by aurora

• not enough fast travel points in the frontier. and that might be bearable, if only the horse mechanic didn't constantly feel like i'm riding around on a lego block

• i should be able to remove my notoriety in the frontier. the perma 1 star wanted level is fucking annoying when i'm trying to clean up post-main game side quests

• the glitch where sometimes when you catch a almanac page it won't register on your codex as collected and will show up on your map to go get it again :))))

• the 'encyclopedia of the common man' quest. having to go around and scan all the villagers doing multiple activities but sometimes some of them won't do that last activity you need. like ellen bestie pls stop doing the same two tasks every day and go do the laundry so i can scan you I AM BEGGING.

• the commitment to historical inaccuracy but in very odd and specific ways like don't piss me off LAFAYETTE DID NOT DRESS AS A WOMAN TO COME TO AMERICA THAT WAS DEBUNKED WHY IS HE HAVING A FULL CONVO WITH CONNOR ABOUT IT @ VALLEY FORGE

• ^ but also on the flip side of the accuracy gripe, why can't i lay the smack down on george washington???? if i can shoot charles lee for funsies in sequence 2 without consequence as haytham (in the benjamin church mission, try it, it's v cathartic and amusing) then i should be able to shoot georgie. just one bullet. pls.

• everything about the tyranny of king washington dlc. no really. everything about it. of all the alternate universes you could've made a dlc about why couldn't it have been 'if haytham had been an assassin not a templar'. trust me we don't need a dlc around the idea of georgie being a tyrannical leader. he owned hundreds of slaves and bought their teeth for his own benefits. that's enough proof of his actual tyranny for me thanks !!!

• the fact that ubisoft packaged the dlc with the main game in the remaster so to get the playstation platinum trophy you have to 100% the dlc as well as the main story

I may have finally cracked why booktubers hate horror books so much, especially the ones who claim to enjoy horror. Hearing one of my go-to booktubers say "stop adding interludes, they only slow the pace down, it's unnecessary" made something click into place. It's the same reason why people hated the fort building scene in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie.

You do know there is a difference between horror and thriller, right? "Interludes", even when not explicitly labeled as such, are there to slow the pace down on purpose. It's there to make the reader (and viewer) sit with the characters' humanity (or inhumanity). This modern notion of everything needing to be quick and witty and constantly high-octane heart-pounding is the reason why so much of horror falls flat, because even if you grow to care about the characters, you're given no time to spend with them.

Carefully crafted horror is meant to linger, and when you're reading 20+ books a month to churn out a reading vlog, a lot of what makes stories impactful falls by the wayside because you're already jumping onto the next read.

I am begging people to slow down, for the love of everything unholy.

that 'write for an audience of thirty sickos' tweet is like aspirational to me because if i had that many (especially if a couple were like, Concrit-giving Sickos) i'd be really happy and not even slightly wish for a bigger audience. but it seems i can at most pull three-to-four sickos at a time and the prior sickos orbit away before new sickos come.
