i think it's really funny that in kaneki's childhood flashbacks hide still has the same bleached blonde hair and black roots that he always does because it implies that he's been bleaching it since elementary school. that shit has got to feel like straw by now

So I have a question/theory about this moment:
Tumblr media
Well, more of the moment in the past back when she was 15-17 years old. (Next 2 photos for context in case someone didn't know how old she is/was)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, my question is: Was Andrew an accident? If so, was it her choice to keep Andrew or was it theirs? (for clarification, I'm talking about the grandparents)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because I don't know, this was the 70s maybe 80s when Andrew and Ashley were born. Just as a small history lesson: England (yes, I'm using England as the characters speak English in this game and was confirmed to take place in a fictional country in Europe) legalized abortions in 1967. If we're to say that the Graves siblings were born in the 70s, it could be that the grandparents were against abortion and so forced Mrs Graves to carry Andrew and to keep him. Or maybe because it had just recently been legalized, Mrs Graves still felt like it was taboo or still dangerous, so she decided to have Andrew.
I highly doubt that Andrew was a planned child. It could be why she had him take care of Ashley, make the unplanned child raise the child she actually wanted, but oh no, Ashley didn't turn out like you wanted? Now she dislikes both her children for different reasons.
When most people talk about the parents abuse, they always think about Ashley's neglect and don't realize that Andrew was abused by parentification. If I had to guess, this abuse to Andrew and Ashley probably steamed from the grandparents and this created generational trauma.
All in all, I kinda hope this question is answered in at least one of the Episode 3s. Sorry for my rambles, it's 1 AM and I started questioning shit.

What several levels of exhaustion does to a mother fucker.
I was listening to the album grow again by Moe Reen while making this. specifically Why Deny (The Climate of Our Love).
You could admit it's all on fire And confess to loving me This world is surely ending soon, Our love is certainly something true So why deny the climate of our love?
Theres so much to say about them. The world is on the precipice of disaster and yet they found each other, the successors to the emperor and empress titans. Did the emperor and empress wonder what their successors would become? did they wonder about who their successors would be? did they hope that they would find the love they had? or did they think the story of the titans ended then?
When Fearne was alone with Nana Morri did she ever dream about the people she has around her now? about sharing a bed, with no other expectations other than waking up together?
When Ashton found themselves left behind after the nobodies left him, did he dream about a group of people who listened to what they said and respected their words? did they ever dream of someone wanting to be with them just because they liked being around him?
when they were at their loneliest, was the thought of each other a fever dream?
I still stand as a firm believer that both Ashton and Fearne have two hands, but watching them grow closer together has been amazing. And I hope their relationship continues to flourish, platonically or romantically.

whatever you do, DON’T think about josh waking up the morning after the prank and everyone being cagey and indirect about where his sisters are. everyone keeps telling him “it was a joke,” but he can’t piece together the story in a way that makes sense.
sam and mike are nearly frostbitten from how long they spent searching in the snow. chris got his information from ashley, who bit her nails down to the beds overnight. the others could barely look him in the eye. josh can’t figure out if his headache is related to the hangover or the idea of his sisters, humiliated and alone, lost somewhere on the mountain without him.
and where was he when they needed him? drunk, passed out? the last thing he remembers is a hazy glimpse of his baby sisters dragging him to the same couch where he awoke 10 hours later. he sees their faces but the edges of the memory are blurred and undefined. the sound of their voices and laughter is already fading away and running through his fingers like sand. all that’s left is the howling of the wind.

After having played all 6 of Nemlei's games, I have come to see the themes of all the games. (Or at least, my interpretation of them) So, let's go down the list.
Jack in a Castle. To me, this game is about what we do in relationships. How do we build a relationship with our manager, new friends, crushes, coworkers, etc. I actually really loved this game.
Candy Scabs. To me, this game is about how we judge others physically. When we slowly reveal ourselves, we can either get a reaction of "thank you for showing me your true self" or "you're scary, therefore I hate you." We all hope we get the first reaction, but sometimes, we might need to kill (metaphorically speaking) the person who hates what we look like.
Divilethion. To me, this game is about what religious trauma can do to us. We can either break free when we notice or we can go with the flow and continue the cycle of trauma.
Better Half. To me, this game is about learning to love yourself and take care of yourself. How depression can really hurt us, but with care, comfort, and love from ourselves, we can get through it, we survived everything up to now.
No Good Noelle. To me, this game is about accepting that you might not be good at something. There's no shame in it. It's just not your thing.
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. To me, this game (although still in development) is about family and/or shared trauma. We survived together, we will continue surviving together, or we'll hate each other because we remind each other of our trauma.
Anyway, that're just my interpretations. I'd love to hear y'all's if you have other interpretations. And remember, there's no wrong way to interpret a story narrative, everyone does not know what the original intent was for the creator(s) of their stories.

little unexplained things can be future plot hooks but sometimes they are just details that make the world seem real. This is a big part of why I don't think every character in a D&D game who plays an instrument should multiclass into bard - some people just play instruments in this world! What does that look like? what are the instruments? What are the musical traditions? And I think this is something Ashley Johnson is exceptionally good at, at playing characters who expand the world without it necessarily having to be part of the plot. Yasha covers an area no one else does. We don't need to know why she's an aasimar or understand it because it tells us a lot about the world and her culture and experience. She isn't a bard but she loves music; she isn't a nature-based class but she loves flowers. Fearne also provides new insight into the feywild. I think people undervalue being really good at embodying a vibe because it sounds surface level but for Ashley it never feels like just aesthetic, it always feels rooted in something.
