here we go. i’m doing it and no one can stop me
i am (going to attempt) to rank all stands by sexiness starting with the JoJo’s themselves. by the end of this “project” all of the winners will be pitted against each other in a final showdown, as judged by me, Standfucker Extraordinaire. unfortunately no TJL stands will be included as we’ve not seen enough of them in action. sorry Jodio 😔
plz keep in mind that these are only my objectively correct opinions u-u
11: Tusk Act 1
marketable plushie lookin ass
10: Tusk Act 3
change up the colors and this thing the world’s ugliest sleep paralysis demon
9: Hermit Purple
its just vines. idk what i’m supposed to say. comes w Joseph’s slut energy built in. it’s cool that its purple i guess?
8: Tusk Act 2
Johnny you have 4 stands and almost all of them are ugly as sin wtf man. the design is finally fun so points for that at least
7: Crazy Diamond
now we’re getting onto the fuckable stands babyyyy
Crazy Diamond is just a tad much. his colors are ok, the hearts coordinating w Josuke’s design are cute. but then there’s the plating, the helmet, the tubes(??), and he even suffers from jjba Codpiece Syndrome. it’s all a bit much and doesn’t quite fit. in some of the anime promo art they gave him a sparkly diamond texture, but besides that i don’t care for him all that much.
6: Star Platinum
using the DiU palette bc of all the Star Platinum colors it’s the best. the pastels are cute and make for a fun contrast w the big muscles
an oldie but a goldie. bc Araki hadn’t gotten his footing w stand designs yet Splat looks more unique in retrospect. hair and clothing, capable of facial expressions, a tasteful loincloth as opposed to Another Fucking Codpiece.
i also think it’s cute how artists like to draw him w starry hair :>
5: Gold Experience Requiem
GER? this guy fucks. there’s simply no other way to put it. he fucks so hard. unfortunately points have to be redacted for that dead eyed stare and unmoving grimace. GER could be so much higher if he didn’t have such an awful baked in expression and this will become an unfortunate running theme. maybe if GER had more screen time that could be mitigated, but alas...
4: Stone Free
one of the few female stands, which sucks bc Araki goes off w girl stands. just look at her. the blue accented by gray, the radical bright green sunglasses, the sexy hints at her string powers, she even complements Jolyne nicely if stand/user synergy is needed. she’d probably be higher up if we saw more of her bc Araki prefers to show off her powers via having Jolyne psychically unravel which is fun! but does mean this beauty didn’t get enough time to shine 😔 not sure how i feel abt the bumpy texture as well. makes things a bit busy
3: Tusk Act 4
finally!! after 3 shit stands Tusk strikes gold in the final hour. its weird, its pink, its got (jo)stars its a cowboy, what more could you want??
more screen time goddamn it!! Tusk Act 4 gets like 2 and a half physical appearances across 2 parts. Araki wtf man. Tusk Act 4 just fucks so hard tho so it’s gotta be top 3
2: Soft & Wet
YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEA!!! NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL A FUCKABLE STAND! Soft & Wet is the platonic ideal of a MC stand. fun mechanical parts, cute little face, the Stand Tubes finally serve an aesthetic purpose and aren’t just awkwardly tacked on. he also has such pleasing colors and silhouette. i love him so much and he’s easily one of the best, cutest, most sexy stands in all of jjba
However
Soft & Wet has 3 variants and they all look the same. base Soft & Wet, Josefumi’s Soft & Wet, and GO ⭐ BEYOND are identical. so many good multi-stage stands and Soft & Wet drops the ball on every level 😔
1: Gold Experience
Gold Experience is not just fuckable, he’s h*rny. nonstop GE everyday all the time GE is just Like That and the sheer confidence of it all overpowers the few negative aspects of his design. even the Fucking Codpiece
GE has more than 1 facial expression and a sexy alt form to mix things up. he pairs w Giorno perfectly. he’s got a Lot going on w the loud colors, ladybugs, wings, helmet, teardrop markings, vague insect texturing, and hints of The World. but unlike Crazy D it all ties together. amazing. flawless. unbelievable.
and if you don’t know what i mean when i say GE is h*rny. BEHOLD:
in every one of his Iconic poses he is dtf. the h*rniest stand for the h*rniest part. this is how it was meant to be godbless godbless and goodnight.

fanfic writer asks
I’ve seen this going around (I think @/logicheartsoul has the origin?) so I wanted to do it too!
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 95!!!! :00 the big 100 is coming up soon!!!!
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 1,400,486 which is just,,,,,an insane number LOL
3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? on AO3 (which is all that matters to my current self lol), 12 - Star Trek (combining tos, ds9, tng, voy, picard, and aos), Yowamushi Pedal, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, The Raven Cycle, Katekyou Hitman Reborn!, Fire Emblem (combining 3h and awakening), Free!, Good Omens, Pokemon, Days, Person of Interest, and Fugou Keiji: Balance Unlimited
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? The Boy Who Cried...Sex? (jjba, 941 kudos (thank you y’all!!!)), What I Was Waiting For (jjba, 849 kudos), Every Life You've Lived, I Want to be There with You (jjba, 505 kudos), Trying It Again (trc, 446 kudos), and Wild and Free (trc, 333 kudos)
I’m a little sad none of these are spones lol, but these fics are a lot older so it makes sense xD
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? the ones I never finished writing Either Viva la Q (star trek tng), All My Loving (jjba), or Unity (khr) because major character death is involved in all of them LOL. Unity’s final chapter isn’t as sad but the rest....oh boy past self what were you going through LOL
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? uhhhhhh they’re all pretty happy for the most part I think??? besides the 3 angsty ones lol
7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written? I don’t usually write crossovers, the only one that is technically a crossover is my spones and pokemon one, and I don’t think it’s all that crazy lol
8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I don’t write it very often, but I have written a few! I’m not sure what ‘kind’ means exactly in this case, usually they’re in plot heavy fics tho lol, I’ve very rarely written pwp xD
9. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? yes!!! it really makes me happy to receive a comment, so I always respond to them! It just takes me a while sometimes LOL
10. Have you ever received hate on a fic? yes, about the ending of my picQ fic Viva la Q. It really made me feel bad when I first got it, but then I realized it didn’t matter because I enjoy the story and star trek picard validated my hcs so now I don’t think about it lol
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? not that I know of
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? yes! the amazing aaamoon translated my mirror spones story c:
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? a VERY long time ago, back in middle school, my friend and i wrote crack fics together xD more recently, a friend and I tried to a couple years ago but we never finished it LOL
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? probably spones or 1859! I’ve been into both of them for over ten years, and that’s pretty rare for me lol
15. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? hmmmm the ones I want to finish I definitely will (unless I drop out of the fandom before then), though this one fic I’m working on right now I’ve rewritten like five times so who knows if it’ll ever be finished LOL
16. What are your writing strengths? uhhhhh??? I feel like writing is really hard to quantify, especially for yourself lol. People have said they like my characterization? I think I do humor pretty well without making it corny or annoying
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I have yet to do like plot-heavy stuff like mysteries or high fantasy, idk if I’d be any good at it lol. I feel like I’m really bad at editing because all sentences start to sound weird and I can’t figure out if it’s just me being tired or if I just legitimately don’t know how to structure sentences anymore lol
18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? it’s.....kinda annoying imo. Like I wish ao3 had a better footnote system, because then it wouldn’t be so bad cause you could just click on that to get the translation, but also narratively I don’t really see the point? Either your character has no idea what’s being said, so you could just say “they said something in a foreign language”, or they’re talking to themselves in another language, in which cause they could just say “in [language]” at the end. Idk I just think it’s pointless to write a story majorly in one language and then suddenly stick another one in there that readers most likely won’t understand lol.
19. What was the first fandom you wrote for? khr! C: and here I am writing for it again LOL
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? My pokemon and spones crossover I think! It was sooooooooo much fun to write! My mirror spones fic is also up there c:

have any opinions on part 4 of JoJo?
It's the best one in terms of writing, plot consistency, and actually being coherent. The relatively lower stakes (trying to find 1 serial killer instead of trying to save the world) lends itself very well to a story set in a small town and also allowed for more character moments. One of my favorite parts about Part 4 is that we get to see the characters just...being kids together. Like, one of my favorite episodes is the Harvest one where Josuke and Okuyasu are just being dumbasses together constantly.
Josuke is probably my favorite JoJo so far, but I haven't gotten past Part 5 yet so that might change. He really feels like just some guy who happened to be born into the Joestar family and now has to deal with this crazy new world. He makes a lot of mistakes because he's inexperienced and also a LITERAL TEENAGER, but he also is his father's son. He is extremely clever and can quickly manipulate the situation to his advantage. He's like a Joseph who's also a decent person and not friends with a LITERAL N*ZI so that's nice. He also wears his heart on his sleeve and he see him get visibly upset and happy and angry and just overwhelmed throughout the Part. He feels like a real person that I can relate to, not just a badass punch man with 3 personality traits. So he's the best JoJo so far imo.
I also think the general main cast is also all solid. There really aren't any that ruin the show for me, even of the ones I like least. Okuyasu is such a good character and I honestly feel like he was underutilized both as a fighter and as a character. The Hand is so overpowered and literally could neutralize Kira in the span of like 5 minutes, so I feel like giving that overpowered Stand to Okuyasu, a character who isn't exactly bright enough to understand the full capabilites of his Stand and how to utilize them, was a good decision. Even if it was ultimately underutilized a LOT.
And the potential behind his character, a kid who has been only with his brother and his father (who are both kinda monsters in their own right) for as long as he can remember who then LOSES his brother after trying to fight Josuke, who then becomes friends with Josuke DESPITE all of this and quickly works his way into his friends' lives, who has a power related to taking EVERYTHING AWAY IN ONE TOUCH (Stands are a reflection of their user's soul so...), AND who is shown to be extremely kind-hearted despite his trauma but is also likely suffering in silence?? I think Okuyasu had the set up to be the best character of the part but Araki just didn't follow through. This kind of stuff is why I enjoy fanworks so much, I have already read so many that explore Okuyasu and they're all fantastic. I absolutely adore Okuyasu and his 'death' was the first moment in JoJo that I almost cried real tears.
Koichi is...fine. I like him and I get why everyone else likes him. In any other season I'd likely have way more to say about him, but every single character is pretty good in this season so I don't really have that strong of feelings about him.
Rohan is so funny to me. Like, this man only cares about his manga and does NOT care about being a good person and he doesn't try to hide it. One of the first things he does is try to fight our heroes because...he wants Koichi for his manga. He was about to force Okuyasu to kill himself and Heaven's Door is such an OP ability that I feel like I don't have to say anything. And the only reason he loses is because Josuke doesn't like manga and he insulted Josuke's hair. This is the kind of stuff that I love about this part, the ways our heroes win are so weird and clever that it makes the battles feel more real. Rohan is also a pretty well-written character and he contrasts very well with the other characters to create some very fun dynamics.
Part 4 Jotaro is better than Part 3 Jotaro. A major reason why I didn't really love Part 3 is because I didn't like Jotaro as a protagonist. He's too disinterested and stoic for me to enjoy as the LEAD OF AN ENTIRE PART but I always thought that he would work better as something else. And apparently, that something else was a genuinely amazing mentor character. He has seen the worst that Stands have to offer and he's very familiar in dealing with them, so he makes for a great contrast to our extremely inexperienced team. And he's also given less screen time, which means I don't get tired of his stoicism and OP-ness as often. I actually enjoyed that he only uses Time Stop when it's absolutely neccesary, since that's the ability that killed SO MANY OF THE PEOPLE HE KNEW. But Part 4 Jotaro also isn't infallible. He almost dies to a FUCKING RAT and that was honestly one of the most human moments Jotaro has ever been given. He's just waiting for Josuke to figure out what to do while he keeps getting turned slowly yet slower into a pile of fleshy goop. And he also cannot handle Kira on his own like he could handle DIO because Kira is a far more subtle opponent. You can't just beat Kira by punching it until it dies, you have to actually think about what you are and aren't doing. It makes Jotaro feel more like an actual character and less of 'Protagonist Syndrome'.
On the subject of Kira, HOLY SHIT KIRA IS SUCH A GOOD VILLAIN. I still think that DIO is the best villain so far, but I flip flop on him and Kira more often than I'd like to admit. Kira is the perfect 'low stakes' villain. He's a serial killer with a fetish for hands and a desire to live a 'normal' life, which prompts him to stay hidden as long as possible. I tend to dislike whodunnits where the audience knows who the killer is, but Kira's inability to actually stay hidden for long makes sure it never feels like it goes on for too long. I also adored his ability, it's a far more 'planning' based one than any ability we've seen up until this point. You need to know what you're doing with your ability and Kira, though he's also a dumbass at times, knows Killer Queen inside and out. Bites The Dust is also a great ability for him to have and his weird sort of relationship with Shinobu also made him very fun.
The Bites the Dust arc is the best JoJo has to offer. In the same vein that many told me that the DIO's world arc +the final battle was worth every minute of the rest of Part 3, I am telling anyone who is still unsure of whether they want to watch Part 4 that the Bites the Dust arc is worth every minute you spend on Part 4. Though, if you really aren't feeling it, you can start when Kira first shows up and just watch from there. The other episodes are great, but if you don't like low-stakes slice of life stuff then just start when Kira shows up. Because the Bites the Dust arc is so good. It's just so good. It feels like a culmination of everything we've built towards throughout the season with crescendoing character moments and an impossible situation that only desperation and preparation (funnily enough the two traits Kira is most defined by) can solve. Really, the Bites the Dust arc is so good that I'm not even gonna talk about what happens during it explicitly. I refuse to spoil this arc, watch it yourself please. But try to find a Trigger list for it, because it gets DARK. Be safer than I was while watching it, lol.
So yeah, I love Part 4. It's probably the best part so far. Is it my favorite part? IDK, gay italians and women are real in Part 5 so I think I'm still more about that part so far. Part 5 is my favorite, but Part 4 is the best and it's honestly not even close. Even if you don't want to watch JJBA (entirely valid, I hate this show sometimes and if you aren't a fan of sausage fests...this show isn't for you probably) I still recommend Part 4 or at least the Bites the Dust arc. It's the best JoJo part, hands down.
#jjba part 4#diamond is unbreakable#diu#josuke higashikata#okuyasu nijimura#jotaro kujo#koichi hirose#kira yoshikage#rohan kishibe#bites the dust arc#bites the dust#part 4 is the best one#hands down#I still like Part 5 more so far tho#But if someone asked me which Jojo part is actually good I would say Part 4

Battle Tendency Liveblog: JJBA Ch. 83-87
Last time, the Red Stone of Aja got mailed out to the bad guys, so Joseph and Caesar have gone to shake down the Venice Post Office. Notably, Joseph wears a hat and coat similar to the one he’s rocking in Part 3.
Turns out, the package is already on its way to St. Moritz, Switzerland. Messina knows this because... okay, try to follow this. So Esidisi hijacked Suzie Q’s body to mail the Stone. So she probably wasn’t even aware of what she was being forced to do, but Lisa Lisa used Ripple Hypnosis on her to retrieve the address. You’d think she would have told the boys about this ability before they ran over to the post office, but maybe they left before she could say anything.
Meanwhile, this dog’s about to get run over, but this is Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, so what else is new. Araki’s hatred for comic book dogs is the stuff of legend.
OR IS IT? Yeah, take a good long look, because this is the only time Araki saves a dog in JJBA. Apparently, Kars is a sucker for innocent plants and animals, go figure.
I don’t know what else to tell you, except Battle Tendency = Best JoJo Part.
As for Joseph, he and the others go to Switzerland, only to get held up by Nazis at the border. Turns out, their mysterious commander knows all about the Red Stone of Aja, the Pillar Men, and Joseph and Caesar’s Ripple training. That guy who tried to rob Lisa Lisa a while back? He was a Nazi spy the whole time. So now they have the Stone, and they want to cooperate with Joseph’s group. Lisa goes along with it, because it’s better than letting Kars find the stone.
For some reason, Araki pauses to discuss Nazi Germany a bit, except he has all these historical events from March and September of 1939. I’m not entirely clear on the chronology of Part 2, except that the final battle with Kars takes place in February of 1939, so none of these things have happened yet.
But the point still stands. Hitler wants Nazi Germany to rise above mankind, just as Kars seeks his own kind of supremacy. And like Kars, the Nazis are interested in the Red Stone of Aja as a possible path to greater power.
Everybody spends the night at some Swiss inn, until Kars shows up and uses his hyper-senses to detect how many men are in their room. Then he slashes through the wall with that blade he sprouts out of his forearm, killing them all with one attack.
Except for their commander, who has the Stone. Kars is confused, because he sensed the number and location of everyone in the room, but somehow he missed this last guy, because he’s got no body heat.
And Joseph barges in just in time to find out that this dude is Stroheim, the Nazi officer who blew himself up to stop Santana. Somehow he’s alive, and also a cyborg, which is why Kars couldn’t detect him.
Kars only wants two things: To capture the Aja Stone, and to kill Joseph Joestar. He says that he can’t afford to spare a Ripple User powerful enough to slay Esidisi, but Joseph wonders if Kars is motivated by a desire to avenge his comrade, rather than any sort of cold tactics. Wammu had called dibs on fighting Jojo, but he’s in Greece at the moment, and Kars is in no mood to wait.
But Stroheim insists on tackling Kars himself, as his cyborg body was specifically designed using the information gleaned from studying Santana. He’s strong enough to rip out pieces of Kars’ flesh, and he’s armed with a big-ass machine gun. He tells Joseph not to pity him, because he’s proud to become this living tribute to German technology.
What I want to know is: How did Stroheim survive Mexico without Joseph knowing about it? He was there when that grenade went off, after all. Maybe Stroheim landed some distance away, where Joseph wouldn’t have thought to look for him. But how did Stroheim’s men find him?
Anyway, Kars is not impressed, and he cuts Stroheim in half with his “light mode”, which is just the blades in his arms. They seem to glow, but it’s actually just reflected light from the complex patterns in the blades. From the sidelines, Joseph is unnerved by Kars’ ability, because he doubts that he could block or avoid those blades, even with the full power of his Hamon energy.
As for Stroheim, he had no idea that Kars could do anything like this. I don’t know, are arm-blades really that big a deal? Wammu’s powers seem a lot cooler, and Esidisi’s “flame mode” looks pretty scary, even if it only melts stuff. Still, it’s enough to beat Stroheim. Kars mocks him for thinking that he and Santana were on the same level. Kars considered Santanta a “novice”, like a “weak puppy.” That’s an interesting choice of words, since we just saw Kars save the life of a weak puppy earilier. Maybe that same pity was the only reason Kars kept Santana around in the first place. As dangerous as Santana was, Kars considers him utterly useless.
He even refers to Santana as “it.” Maybe that’s just a mistake in this scanlation, but I dunno. He’d probably use “it” to refer to that puppy he saved too. And maybe this contempt explains why Kars refers to him as “Santana”, the name Stroheim gave the guy. I always wondered why Kars didn’t use Santana’s real name, but maybe Santana never had one.
But Stroheim’s not done just yet. He has a UV beam built into his eyepiece, which stuns Kars long enough to make him drop the stone, and then it slides over a cliff.
Joseph and Kars race after it, but Kars is faster, because he doesn’t have to worry about slowing down before he goes over the edge. He can survive the fall, while Joseph can’t. So Kars figures that Joseph will try to kick him, and Joseph does throw a kick... at the snow, to distract Kars long enough for Joseph to get the Stone back.
But Kars has blades in his legs too, and he uses one to snag Joseph and pull him over the edge of the cliff. Joseph manages to use Hamon to grab hold of some icicles to stop his fall, but he still has to deal with Kars’ unstoppable blades, and his relentlessness. Joseph’s whole deal is that he outsmarts his opponents by exploiting their inattentiveness. But Kars is laser focused on getting the Aja Stone, so it’s almost impossible to catch him off-guard.
So Joseph uses that tenacity against him by holding up the Stone in the path of Kars’ attacks. Kars wants to kill Joseph, but he doesn’t dare use his blades near the Stone. Remember, Kars’ plan requires that specific Aja Stone because it’s the only one big enough and flawless enough to power his “Ultimate Life Form” mask. If he damages the Stone, it won’t be suitable for his needs. Knowing this, Joseph kicks him down the rest of the way, while he heads back up a “rope” made of Ripple-connected icicles.
Said icicles were provided by Caesar, who expected Joseph to try something like this, because he’s already learned that Joseph thinks in terms of ropes and strings. Stroheim is astonished by their flawless teamwork.
Below, Kars goes out of his way to adjust his fall so as not to crush a flower. He laughs at this latest setback, because he’s just that impressed with Joseph’s resourcefulness. Then he withdraws to try again another day.
This whole arc surprised me when I watched the anime, because it seemed like Kars would be the final boss of Battle Tendency, but here he was fighting Joseph early. And it wasn’t exactly an all-out fight. They had a little footrace and Joseph used the Aja Stone to keep Kars at bay, but not much more than that. Considering all the crazy stuff we saw from Esidisi, you’d think Kars would be much more dangerous.
But that’s just it. Esidisi was extremely formidable, and Joseph destroyed him with his Hamon training. Kars lost 33% of his team in a single stroke. All he has left is Wammu, who’s in Greece at the moment. He simply can’t afford to take on Joseph in this situation, so he doesn’t try anything too crazy. Both of them know his blades are powerful enough to get the job done, so he used them, but when they stopped being effective, he ran out of cards to play, so he left. It’s not that Kars is weak, it’s just that Joseph’s gotten so much stronger. So this fight feels like a much milder affair than the battles with the other Pillar Men so far, even though Kars is supposed to be the best one.
And this is something else I really love about Part 2. There’s only five villains to deal with: Straizo, Santana, Eisidisi, Wammu, and Kars. That’s it, so it makes things pretty easy to keep up with, and it leaves room for Wammu and Kars to fight multiple times.
Compare this with Part 3, where the Stardust Crusaders have to fight through a gauntlet of evil Stand Users as they make their way to Egypt. I think I counted 26 bad guys in Part 3? Somewhere in that neighborhood. And I love Part 3, don’t get me wrong, but if Dio only had ten henchmen instead of two dozen, would it really hurt the story?
This was something that really bugged me about Parts 4 and 5. Would La Squadra Esecuzioni’s role in Vento Aureo be any different if they only had five guys instead of seven? And what was the deal with that dude who lived in the transmission tower? Most of the “villains” in Part 4 were just randos who just fought with the good guys for no particular reason.
With Part 2, you don’t have any of that. Five villains, and three of them only get to fight once. That means every fight has to count, and every fight has to move the story along. Kars isn’t going to just show up to be sociable. He saw an opening to achieve his goal, and he went for it, only to discover his enemies were better prepared than he expected. Now, he’ll have to wait for Wammu...

I simply must ask... could you spare some spooky Halloween headcanons? I know it’s not quite Halloween yet but I’d love to see your spin on a jojo Halloween!
Oho....hohoho...you have no idea what kind of a beast you’ve awakened in me...
Halloween is arguably the best holiday ever because free candy, costumes, and the weather is fucking PERFECT. (also idk what’s up with the rest of y’all but Canadian thanksgiving is in the middle of October so I’m still riding the high of good thanksgiving food by the time its Halloween (AND I’m half-American so we celebrate it in November too hehehe)
But long story short I love spooky season (and autumn in general) with a burning passion and I am SO willing to go hard on jjba spooky headcanons
Thanks again to @jjadegreen for alway being my best headcanon bud!!
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
Part One:
-For the sake of this, I’m making them like 13 or something, like maybe not even a year after they met
-In 19th century England, it was actually pretty typical for them to have a bonfire on Halloween!!
-Halloween costumes were popularized a few centuries ago in France so you bet our phantom blood buds were wearing costumes and shit :)
-I doubt the rich participated in such “unruly” stuff like lighting shit on fire and bearing torches and whatever (but you never know)
-Like George probably spoiled Jonathan with candy as a kid and let him dress up with his school friends and that was it lol
-Dio though OH MY GOD-
-You know based on where he grew up that all that wild shit definitely happened
-He can’t say that he misses living like that, but there’s some kind of weird nostalgia that comes with it
-...which is why Jonathan is really confused when he catches Dio sneaking out of the mansion in the middle of the night
-Begrudgingly, he tells Jojo his plan and this boy’s eyes LIGHT UP
-Instead of being a “stupid, crybaby, tattletale,” as Dio puts it, Jojo is like,,,super hyped
-“Oh! I have an idea! Why don’t we sneak out in costumes so no-one knows it’s us??”
-The sheets on their beds may have two holes in them now, but it's worth it
-They hijack a horse or some shit and skeet over to a giant bonfire
-Dio thinks it's gonna be a drag since Jonathan is there to watch his every move, but it's actually,,,really fun
-As a kid who’s barely ever left his sheltered property, Jonathan is having the time of his life and Dio never thought he would be happy to see Jonathan so happy
-It ends with the two of them sitting by the river, absolutely exhausted from the rush and Jonathan pulls out this bag of shit from his pocket and is like
-“It’s candy!! :D”
-Dio could never really afford things like sweets on Halloween growing up so he’s a bit touchy about it but OH MY GOD that shit is GOOD
-Probably one of the only times where they actually bond properly
-BUT IF THIS IS MY POCKET DIMENSION THEN I CAN SAY THAT THEY BECOME FRIENDS >:)
Part Two:
-I’m just gonna start out with the fact that Joseph is fucking OBSESSED with candy. You know those kids you knew growing up that loved it more than anything on this goddamn earth? *cough cough @jjadegreen*
-That is Joseph
-And now that he consumes that type of shit with the power of mastered Hamon at his fingertips,,,holy shit man,,,it's like a child’s sugar rush but 100x worse
-Caeasr is put in charge of Jojo to make sure he doesn’t do anything idiotic *which he definitely will trust me*
-The MOMENT he goes to the bathroom, Suzi pops in like “JOJO!!!! :) Let's go trick or treating!!!”
-He can’t say no to that, bro,,,he and Suzi are tight ;-;
-While Lisa Lisa is out to meet Speedwagon and Erina and bring them back over to where everyone else is, Joseph sneaks out with Suzi and the two of them dash off into the streets of New York
Caesar: *steps out of bathroom*
“Jojo, what the hell do you and Suzi want for dinner?”
*silence*
“...Jojo?”
*Hears the screams of of children in the distance*
“JOJO, NO—”
-So turns out Joseph’s way of trick-or-treating at such an old age is just terrorizing young children and ransacking them for candy
-Suzi Q is just totally unphased by how awful this is and just thinks its the funniest shit
-Caesar is running out into the streets of New York like ???? and spots Joseph being himself and he could probably just pretend he doesn’t know them
-But,,,Joseph may be an idiot but he’s his idiot and Suzi Q is his bimbo best friend so he goes out to drag them back home
-Erina, Lisa Lisa, and Speedwagon are already home by the time they get back and Caesar sits Joseph down and chews him out in front of everyone
-Erina is super pissed and lectures him about “Joestar values” or whatever and tells a really embarrassing story about how a kid took his candy once when he was little and he cried about it for DAYS
-Caesar is still really angry about it so he replaces all of Joseph’s gummies with sugar free ones (you goddamn know the ones I’m talking about) but he didn’t know Joseph WOULD EAT THEM ALL AT ONCE
-He is so fucking sick on November 1st
-Also off-topic but Lisa Lisa gives out dental floss or some shit on halloween
Part Three:
-Honestly all Jotaro wants to do is buy candy for himself, hole himself up in his room like he always does, and just munch and watch shitty horror movies
-But of course he has actual friends now
-Kakyoin tackles him before he can get his ass upstairs and suggests that they go out and trick-or-treat
-To which Jotaro thinks is a joke and laughs because he’s not only 17, but also 6’5” but Kak’s face looks dead serious
-Kakyoin goes on this long, detailed ramble about how he meticulously made the best Halloween route for them to get the best candy
-Now THIS is when Polnareff abandons whatever he and Avdol are doing to join in on the stupid plan they have
-When Kakyoin comes back with a handful of white sheets, they already know what he’s thinking and its brilliant
Kakyoin’s 5-step, foolproof Halloween plan:
Step one: It’s already established that stands can hold non-stand items (like when Star Plat whipped Iggy across the desert) so what’s stopping them from being able to have sheets over their heads?
Step two: They faze a bit of their stands into the ground so that they at least resemble the height of children (plus non-stand users can’t see anything besides the sheets so it's perfect)
Step three: Polnareff pretends to be the father of these shy children who can’t speak (he looks the oldest) while Jotaro and Kakyoin hide nearby so their stands don’t de-summon
Step four: Hit up every good house in the neighbourhood
Step Five: Candy.
(Kak used to put a sheet over hierophant all the time as a kid and always got twice the amount of candy each year)
-It actually works pretty well, aside from the fact that Star would sometimes scream “ORA” in a really deep, manly, not seven years old at all voice whenever the people at the door would try to speak with him or make him say ‘trick-or-treat’
-They finally reach the richest house in the neighbourhood, where the snootiest lady lives (but she has a shit ton of candy leftover every year since no one goes there)
-Once the stands knock on the door, she starts saying stuff like “ohh, let me see your faces so I make sure you aren’t too old for this” and ducks under to look at the sheets…
-...Only to find that there’s literally nothing there
-She looks up at Polnareff like 👁👄👁 and Kakyoin seems to get the message because one of hierophant’s tentacles grabs her ankle and she SCREAMS and throws her entire candy stash at them, slamming the door behind her
-Half of them are full-sizes chocolate bars. Candy acquired.
-When they get back, Joseph is so fucking angry that they didn’t invite him out for Halloween shenanigans >:(
-Avdol and Holy have a very nice chat, meanwhile. They answer the door while everyone's gone and are so sweet to the kids about their costumes :)
-Also Avdol is 100% the kind of person to bake pumpkin seeds and season them and shit
-Kakyoin sorts all his candy and puts it on a spreadsheet and also make a pie chart just like he does every year
-T’was a very successful halloween
Part Five:
-Giorno is probably short enough to go out if he really wanted to
-But he has maturity issues and there would be no way in hell that the Bucci Gang would catch him going out in a costume and begging for candy
-So as soon as all the daily tasks and shit are met Giorno locks himself in his room
-He honestly wants some candy and to watch spooky movies with the gang but he just feels like an outsider to all of that stuff since he never did it
-So Bruno slips a thing of dracula-themed chocolate pudding under his door and leaves him be :)
-Narancia and Mista DO go out, however
-Not only do they go out and steal shit, but they also go and hit up houses for candy just for the fun of it
-The moment the clock strikes 6 Trish is OUT of there
-Girl is hitting up as many parties as she possibly can and eventually meets up with Nara and Mista at some shitty Halloween party and end up just buying really shitty beer and going to the graveyard or something
-Fugo wants none of that shit
-He’s perfectly content sitting with the black cat that Giorno made him and watching shitty reruns of whatever’s on
-Bruno takes out his tacky Halloween apron that definitely looks something like this
-Fugo helps him make all this really good spooky-themed dessert shit and helps him sort the candy in the nut and nut-free bowls :))) (because Bruno really goes and does that)
-Abbacchio seems like the kind of person who would go really fucking hard with Halloween decorations
-Like, no explanation why, he just loves it and everyone knows not to get in his way
-The moment October 1st comes around, this man is in his ELEMENT. He’s READY.
-It’s the one month where he looks anywhere near normal compared to other people and man is ready to rock that shit
-Later that night they go to check on Giorno and find him asleep surrounded by bags of candy
-Turns out he snuck out and had a good time after all :’)

You’re wondering why I skipped part 4, right? ↓ ↓
I’m sorry to disappoint y’all, but I don’t think I’m gonna be doing much for Whumptober this year! (I’m just shit at monthly challenges in general lmao) but I think y’all need a breather from all this giant dump of whumpy stuff coming this month, so I, your dear friend Cherry, have decided to write fics throughout the month that I dub SOFT HALLOWEEN :D (with uhhh a side of whump and hurt/comfort and all that shit because I can’t help myself)
It’s gonna vary (hopefully from parts 1-5)! I didn’t add any part four headcanons in here because Jade and I are literally writing part 4 shenanigans first and we didn’t wanna spoil anything :)
SPEAKING OF SPOILERS here’s a horrifying, blurry, teaser picture that’s only gonna make sense once you read the fic:
Isn’t it beautiful?
Hope you enjoyed these!! Tell me what you want the Jojos to do on Halloween!
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
Ok so apparently its not normal to sort your candy by type, count it all out and then put it into a spreadsheet which then gets made into a graph? Because I did that. EVERY. FUCKING. YEAR. Ask Jade. She was there every goddamn time. Please I’m begging you someone else tell me you did shit like this I need to know

Tooru, the main villain or the red herring?
aka “Tooru, the underrated villain”
Tooru, the mysterious boy who started from being an unassuming part-time worker and Yasuho’s ex-boyfriend, is currently the main focus in JoJolion since chapter 97.
Tooru appeared first in chapter 81, during the middle of Dr. Wu fight. It happened casually as Yasuho coincidentally met with him and they greeted like an old-friend, it was then revealed that he was her ex-boyfriend. He doesn’t give strong impression to the readers, though his sudden appearance while a Stand fight was still going on is quite suspicious. In the pursuit of HD, he bumped several times with Yasuho (and the gang) with the intention of going steady with her again, while sometimes he acted rather suspiciously.
The mystery regarding Tooru is slowly being revealed, in chapter 97 we begin to see him as a villain: he didn’t come to Higashikata’s mansion to save Yasuho, he seemed to know the situation that had happened in the mansion, he is “somehow” connected to The Head Doctor that he seems to know what is going on there (hospital) and finally, he also wanted The New Locacaca.
Chapter 98 even revealed the bigger twist that Head Doctor Akefu is actually a Stand! It is quite impressive that a Stand can hold an important position as Head Doctor in a well-known hospital, it even held a conference not long ago. This chapter also revealed the connection between Tooru and Akefu, he knows the situation there through Akefu’s eyes. He also mentioned “calamity” which is the keyword for HD’s ability. Another mystery brought by Tooru is that he knows about “the saint”.
JJL chapter 98: Endless Calamity – part 4
Chapter 99 revealed greater information about Tooru, that he is a rock-human. This answers the mystery of how he knows about “the saint”. Furthermore, we found out the name of HD as a Stand, 「Wonder of U」. 「Wonder of U」 also revealed that he had a hand in ruining Rai’s life in the past.
Chapter 100 still affirmed 「Wonder of U」’s involvement in Rai's past and talked about “calamity”. This chapter also reinforced the notion that Araki does eventually change Rai's backstory (so that the story in chapter 75 becomes less relevant).
Therefore, what we got about Tooru so far:
He is a part-time worker in T.G.U Hospital.
He is Yasuho’s ex-boyfriend who dated her during her high-school years.
He is somehow connected to the Head Doctor Akefu.
He is a rock-human.
He wants the New Locacaca.
He knows about “the saint”.
He knows about “calamity”.
Head Doctor Akefu is a Stand named 「Wonder of U」 and Tooru could be the user.
What are still lacking from Tooru are his personal backstory and his motivation, but given that Araki is focused on him right now, I am sure that this mystery will soon be resolved.
How is Tooru underrated?
Many readers doubt Tooru’s role as a big villain, the main reason is because of him appeared in the story fairly late. I myself am still wary and do not immediately believe that he will be the main villain.
However, with those eight points above Tooru had in recent chapters, should be enough to consider him a big player in “the race of (New) Locacaca”. If he is not the main villain, at least he should be a major villain.
TL;DR is available in the end
Tooru and 「Wonder of U」
One of the things that makes readers doubt him is about his connection to 「Wonder of U」. Some have already believed that Tooru is its user, whereas some others haven't. Those who don’t believe it assume that Tooru is more of a partner to the original WOU’s user. Perhaps the thing that makes it difficult for readers to consider Tooru as WOU’s user is because Araki had been building up WOU as a figure, “The Head Doctor Akefu Satoru”.
Prior to Tooru’s debut, HD Akefu became a major player associated with Locacaca and the rock-humans organization. He had been hinted since chapter 76, the end part of Ozon Baby arc. He led the Head Doctor gang, he let Damokan Group to roam around (under his watch), chapter 99 and 100 also revealed that he has been involved in Rai’s past.
When the first hint of HD existence emerged, his subordinates had begun to fall one by one at that time (Urban Guerilla and Poor Tom). HD became the main focus in the pursuit by Josuke’s gang since chapter 83.
HD Akefu has prominent role in the struggle of Locacaca and the rock-humans, HD Akefu to the readers is like an individual character (a rock-human) who has a hand in the race of New Locacaca. Therefore, when he was revealed to be a Stand, it becomes difficult for the readers to accept that.
How can a Stand be able to act like human-being? Of course in the previous parts of JJBA, we already know about the existence of "sentient Stands", such as 「Anubis」, 「Baby Face」, 「Cheap Trick」, and 「Foo Fighters」, etc. But, no Stands have sentience capability to the extent of HD Akefu as it was able to hold a prominent position as The Head Doctor in a well-known hospital and even held a conference not long ago.
As readers, we should also remember that what we are reading here (JJBA) is the work of fiction, with Araki as “the god” in this fictional world. Thus, he has the right to change or add new things in his work and one of them might be: “a whole new type of Stand”.
The problem of some readers nowadays is that they are too fixated on the old rules/establishment, even though every rules contained in fictional stories can be added or changed at any time as the author wishes. JJBA might add new rule or category to its universe, as far as it doesn’t destroy its own world-building.
With the mindset that a Stand should not be able to do so, some readers have speculated that the real Head Doctor named “Akefu Satoru” character might actually exists, whether he is the big boss who is currently hiding or even as a posthumous character whose identity got stolen by rock-humans.
In addition, some readers are a bit uneasy to accept Tooru's plot twist that started from being a part-timer boy to be the leader of HD gang out of sudden. Which I think it’s quite contradictory to Caatofags who want a plot twist from an ex-housewife to be the grand mastermind. However…
In fact, the connection between Tooru and Head Doctor/「Wonder of U」 has been hinted at by Araki since his first debut.
Tooru made his debut in the two chapters prior to the pursuit of HD since chapter 83. His debut was in JJL chapter 81 during the middle of Dr. Wu arc.
Akefu Satoru is first mentioned in chapter 83, then made his first appearance in chapter 84. The title of chapter 84 itself is:
What a coincidence that HD Akefu's debut was in a chapter with its original name as 「Wonder of U」. Though it’s originally titled “The Head Doctor of TG University Hospital - part 1”, but the change of title is still Araki’s decision.
Besides, Tooru who coincidentally bumped several times with Yasuho (and the gang) acted like harmless neutral individual who is willing to help them modestly. As a part-timer in the hospital, he made them believe that he could lead them to Akefu.
JJL chapter 84: The Wonder of You (Your Miraculous Love) – part 1
Yeah, the first time Tooru led them to Akefu was also in the same chapter with the fully debuted Akefu, in the first part of “Wonder of You” arc as well. Six chapters (one volume) later, he was acting suspicious again as he lured Yasuho back into chasing Akefu.
JJL chapter 90: The Wonder of You (Your Miraculous Love) – part 7
Then, in the same chapter just before his suspicious action, Tooru had been talking about wireless charging, with electricity spills out and flies into the sky without the holes in the power lines.
I don’t want to be those Caatofags who’re overthinking everything, but this could be a hint of how he can connect with The Head Doctor, of how both he and his Stand can act independently, despite their great distance, and how both of them are able find out their respective situations at the same time.
Then he also told about the existence of “anxiety” and “anger” side by side. What he said reminds me of the duality in Diavolo and Doppio, perhaps this is a hint that there is also a duality between Tooru and Akefu Satoru/「Wonder of U」 or at least about Tooru’s true nature.
I may be thinking too much though, knowing how Araki likes to put small pieces of information unrelated to the plot yet quite informative. But putting that aside, there is another hint regarding Tooru and 「Wonder of U」, that both have blank eyes for a moment.
In chapter 97, there was a moment where Akefu was seen standing still strangely, like a machine that was turned off.
It is as if Tooru and Akefu take turns moving their consciousness. In addition, the same chapter also showed that Tooru was aware of the situation regarding Josuke in the hospital. Notice Tooru's eyes that didn't look blank at that time!
Endless Calamity – part 3
The recent chapter of 101 further emphasizes that Tooru is indeed the user of 「Wonder of U」.
JJL chapter 101: Endless Calamity – part 7
The Climactic Power of 「Wonder of U」
Out of all the Stands in JoJolion, 「Wonder of U」 is the most powerful Stand that has ever been shown so far. WOU has given a lot of trouble to the many factions in JJL who are actively fighting over The New Locacaca.
Sadly, some readers (especially The Caatofags) downplay its power and the fight that goes with it. They compared WOU arc like arcs with Vanilla Ice (3), Cioccolata (5), Donnatello Versace (6) and Axel Ro (7), that WOU will just be a closing fight between the protagonists and the last side villain, which will lead them to the actual main villain. How are they even comparable to be honest?
First, let's compare the arc length of each:
side villains comparison (by Caatofags)
Keep in mind that up to part 6, JJBA was published on “Weekly Shounen Jump”, in which the average number of pages per chapter at that time was only ±17 pages. Take a note as well that Wonder of U arc is still on-going, therefore the number of chapters on it will continue to grow.
As a side note, Underworld (Donatello)’s arc was dominating only up to chapter 124, the focus of subsequent chapters are then divided on “Heavy Weather arc” with Pucci and Weather Report. It's just that I decided to include them because Donatello officially died in chapter 137 (at the end of Heavy Weather arc).
But actually, that's not what's truly important. We should also consider how their respective arcs were being played out:
Vanilla Ice 「Cream」
Being brutally honest, comparing the WOU arc to Cream's battle is ... ridiculous. Why? Because the storyline of each part is already very different.
Let’s talk about part 3, it started with Kujo Holy who fell seriously ill, it turned out that the illness was caused by the awakening of the Joestar family’s Stands who was forced out by DIO. In order to save Holy (Jotaro's mother), The Stardust Crusaders went to Egypt to pursue DIO and stop him. Since then, DIO’s underlings appeared one by one to block the crusaders.
In short, since the beginning, the main story in part 3 focused on the crusaders' journey to stop DIO. DIO since the beginning had been the main objective for protagonists, in other words, “the main villain”. Yeah, the storyline in part 3 did not hold much mystery and was more straightforward. We knew the main villain since the very beginning and there was no surprising plot twist halfway that distorted the original objective.
Therefore, since the beginning, Vanilla Ice was just a side villain. Since the beginning of his debut, he was immediately introduced as DIO’s loyal servant and nothing more. Even if his battle with Polnareff and Iggy (RIP Avdol) was dramatic and tense, Vanilla Ice from the start was still a side villain whose sole purpose was to lead the crusaders to his DIO-sama.
Besides, the 「Cream」’s fight did not involve all the crusaders: Jotaro, Joseph and Kakyoin were away and uninvolved at the time.
Caatofags definitely need to learn how storylines actually work before they come up with any weird theories.
Cioccolata 「Green Day」 (and Secco 「Oasis」)
Comparing the WOU arc to the Green Day’s fight is just as ridiculous as “Vanilla Ice”. Unlike part 3, the appearance of the main villain in part 5 did happen a bit late. Throughout the Buccellati’s gang’s journey in uncovering his identity, he had remained mysterious.
However, since the beginning, part 5 has also been about Diavolo as the mafia boss. The protagonist joined his mafia, the protagonists gang was his underling. Since the beginning of the story, the protagonists have been somehow connected to the main villain.
The nature of the boss is so mysterious to the point that his underlings questioning him. Giorno as supposedly the main protagonist was targeting him, he intended to approach him via Buccellati and then overthrow him. Buccellati gang's first assignment (as Capo) was to escort the boss' daughter, during that mission they were blocked by the traitor gang, La Squadra Esecuzioni.
Apart from the boss's identity, his role initially was not very clear. Would he only become Giorno's boss to be eventually dethroned, or would he become their main enemy? However, after the end of La Squadra and Bruno successfully escorted Trish to the boss, that was when “the status of the boss” became clear: that he ultimately became the main enemy of the protagonist's gang.
Since then, Buccellati’s gang had been pursuing the boss while trying to uncover his identity. A character named Vinegar Doppio appeared, whose character had been closely tied to The Boss. Just then, Cioccolata and Secco made their debut as the members of Unita Speciale to stop the protagonists.
VA chapter 113: Pronto! On The Line – part 2
And just like Vanilla Ice, Cioccolata and Secco were not the main villain since the beginning. The Boss was talking about them to Doppio. Therefore no way that Cioccolata is the main villain.
The length of Green Day arc was quite long, though keep in mind that Vento Aureo was released weekly on WSJ, which made the average number of pages per chapter was about ±17. Besides, the fight with 「Green Day」 happened alongside with 「Oasis」. Therefore, we didn't just witness a single Stand battle in that arc.
The battle also didn't involve all the protagonists: only Giorno, Mista and Bruno. Although Green Day's ability was quite menacing that it made some parties and almost entire citizens paralyzed.
Anyway, Green Day (and Oasis)'s battle hardly be compared to WOU, because it was clear that Cioccolata and Secco were not the main villains.
Caatofags definitely need to reread JJBA.
Donatello Versace 「Underworld」
Still published on WSJ, Underworld arc alone only happened in 6 chapters, hardly comparable to Wonder of U. Besides, the fight did not involve all protagonists: only Jolyne and Hermes.
After his solo arc ended, Donatello betrayed Pucci by stealing Weather Report's Memory Disc, Weather eventually regained his memory back. Thus, began the Heavy Weather arc where Donatello was no longer the main player. The focus shifted to the family drama between Pucci and Weather Report Wes Bluemarine. Donatello eventually died in the hand of Jolyne and Anasui, thanks to 「Whitesnake」’s illusion.
It was clear since the beginning that Donatello was not the main villain, he was introduced together with his half-brothers: Rikiel and Ungalo. Since the beginning of Stone Ocean, we followed Enrico Pucci’s character as antagonist.
Pucci started from being shady until a few arcs later, we can see how he dominated the clash against the protagonist, that he sent his underlings, that he was a villain with grand purpose, that he had the most powerful Stands compared to other antagonists, thus made him the main villain. All of that was revealed even before Donatello’s first debut.
Caatofags definitely need to realize that JJBA has a broader plot and concept in every part than their fan-made parallelism.
4. Axel Ro 「Civil War」
As part 7 was started to be published on “Ultra Jump”, the average number of pages per chapter became greater than on WSJ, it is ±35 on average. Civil War arc only last for 4 chapters, which is ridiculous to even compare it to WOU, though I’d say that it had troubled most of the protagonists (excluding Lucy).
Civil War arc has been very meaningful arc, and it had paved the way to the beginning of confrontation with Funny Valentine, the main villain. Since then, the long battle between the protagonists (plus Diego and Wekapipo) and the main villain has begun. The D4C arc itself was slightly punctuated by the Chocolate Disco arc, albeit very briefly.
Funny Valentine, as the US president, had fairly major role since the beginning. He had also clashed with Johnny's gang several times in gathering the Holy Corpse’s parts. But, the direct confrontation between him and the protagonists (with other factions) eventually began after Civil War arc ended, thus his status as the main villain became very clear.
Axel Ro himself only appeared in his arc Civil War, which of course it made him absolutely NOT the main villain.
Caatofags definitely need to improve their reading comprehension.
「Wonder of U」
main villains comparison
Wonder of U arc began at the same time as the investigation and the pursuit of Josuke's gang on HD Akefu's identity. Since then, WOU has been attacking them with "calamity". It has directly been attacking major factions that are fighting over The New Locacaca: Josuke, Yasuho, Rai, Jobin, and Mitsuba.
If we also consider the "calamity" that WOU said in chapters 99 and 100, that it also affects those around the target indirectly:
The calamity that happened to Rai's family, starting from the insects’ infestation, the death of Rai's father by a landslide caused by a typhoon, the destruction of his pear orchard, the debt trap that had caught his family and the death of Rai's mother.
Then it can be assumed that what is happening in the Higashikata family right now:
Mitsuba has met Tooru, the school incident involving Tsurugi happened, Mitsuba saw the Head Doctor on CCTV, Jobin committed murder on Ojiro and Makorin, Tsurugi's illness that is getting worse, WOU which once again attacked Mitsuba exposed the New Locacaca, Norisuke IV’s investigation to the New Locacaca, the murder committed by Jobin got exposed, Jobin attacked Norisuke IV fatally, Norisuke IV’s dying, the terror of WOU to Mitsuba which eventually led to Jobin’s dying.
All of those happened because WOU had been attacking Mitsuba!
Don’t forget that Yasuho is also seriously injured and lost an arm at the moment because she was pursuing the HD.
And that’s how Rai is fatally injured by Josuke’s Soft & Wet.
WOU had successfully been causing chaos to the major parties: on Josuke’s side, Yasuho is seriously injured and Rai is also fatally injured. On Higashikata family, Jobin and Norisuke IV are dying and Tsurugi’s condition is getting worse, the rest of the family is also in panic.
And all of that happened in the chapters titled “Wonder of You (Your Miraculous Love)” and it’s still being continued with “Endless Calamity”, which is the keyword for its ability. Then how can the outcome in “Wonder of U” fight become comparable to the Cream, Green Day, Underworld and Civil War fights?
I think it’s kinda fortunate that Caato on her first debut has already revealed her Stand. If not, I'm sure Caatofags will take their opportunity to say that she is the real Wonder of U’s user.

The (weak) buildup of Tooru as “the villain”
Many readers have complained about Tooru's late debut and their lack of familiarity to him. They think that his role as “the big villain” was too sudden and out-of-nowhere.
I myself also don't want to rush to think of him as the main villain, at least until JJL's story is completely done. But for me, he deserves to be considered as a major villain. He alongside HD has provided greater tension than the previous villains in JJL.
Let’s get back to the readers’ doubt regarding Tooru's connection to 「Wonder of U」, I have just explained how powerful 「Wonder of U」 is with its ability that has been troublesome for most major characters, all “the calamity” that befell Rai’s family in the past and the Higashikata family (including Josuke’s gang) in the present are the work of 「Wonder of U」. Then…
The cover chapter of 99 really suggested that Tooru is connected to all the events that are happening. I do not know where the event in question began, is it only limited to the WOU arc? Or is it all the events that happened in JJL since the beginning? Or does it include the past as well?
Whatever it is, seeing 「Wonder of U」 which is also behind him, this made me even more convinced that he might be its user.
Suppose that he is the main villain…
Unlike most of the main villains from previous parts, in which they have started to play an active role at least halfway through the story, Tooru's debut happened when JJL seems to be entering its final arc.
That is also the reason for Caatofags who believe that Tooru will only be the final side villain, and they prefer Caato as the real main villain just because she appeared earlier in the story (despite her very limited appearance and development). Some of them also believed that JJL would have 40 or 50 more chapters to properly develop her. Only time will tell.
Tooru and Diavolo
The previous main villain who has a problem similar to Tooru is Diavolo. Diavolo's official debut happened when Vento Aureo was about to enter its climax. Since the beginning of part 5, Diavolo was just a mysterious figure who preferred to hide behind the scenes. His identity was unknown to his underlings. We had never seen his face until his debut in the beginning of the final fight. We don’t really know his personality (other than being hysterical and protective to Doppio).
But with the existence of Doppio, Diavolo and Doppio can be considered as one individual (who later experienced DID/split personalities), then Doppio's personality can also be considered as part of Diavolo's personality as well.
But there is a dispute between the opinion that believes them to be “two souls in one body/possession” and those who believe them to be “a case of DID”, that there are also readers who regard them as completely different characters. Regardless, I am pleased that Araki keeps this thing ambiguous.
However, Diavolo's role existed long before his fully appearance, we know that he was the boss of the most powerful mafia in Italy named Passione. We followed Giorno who joined the gang as a rookie. Starting from there, we knew the existence of "The Boss" and his mysterious nature.
Starting from Buccellati’s gang who carried out The Boss' orders to protect and escort his daughter, then turned into the betrayal from the gang. The boss who started as their superior turned into their main enemy. All of this happened before Diavolo even showed his face.
A bigger problem with Tooru compared to Diavolo is that: from the start of the story, we did not follow his character. We never heard about this part-timer who is also Yasuho's ex-boyriend. Let alone Tooru, we did not follow Head Doctor’s character as well since the beginning, both were built-up fairly late to the story.
Tooru and Kira Yoshikage (part 4)
While Kira had appeared much earlier than Tooru and Diavolo, Kira in part 4 also had a bit similarity with Tooru, namely that there was no foreshadowing of his character at the beginning of the story. He was only mentioned a few chapters away before his debut.
The beginning of the story in Diamond is Unbreakable did not start with Kira as a serial killer, but began with Josuke meeting his distant relative (Jotaro) and learning about his father (Joseph). After that, the story developed into the discovery of Stand users who had sprung up in Morioh.
Kira's existence was mentioned for the first time during the adventure of Rohan with Koichi. They met a ghost girl named Reimi who told them about a murder case in the past and the fact that the killer was still on the loose. A little intermezzo with Shigechi's arc until the official debut of the serial killer.
Kira was first mentioned in chapter 69 (volume 8) and officially debut in chapter 77 (volume 9) with the number of chapters in part 4 totaling 174 (18 volumes). Thus, Kira entered to the story right in the middle of part 4.
Unfortunately, Tooru had appeared much later than Kira in their respective parts and also with no apparent foreshadowing about him (prior to his debut). Of course, complaint from the readers become legit, especially for those who has a habit of comparing each part.
“With the lack of foreshadowing, Tooru as the big villain feels out-of-nowhere.”
Let us reexamine how the story works in part 8 since the beginning, a mandatory quick recap (just skip this if you find it boring):
It started from amnesiac Josuke who was found by Yasuho, together they were looking for Josuke's identity. They found about Kira Yoshikage, a ship doctor. Then Josuke met Norisuke IV and got adopted by the richest family in Morioh, The Higashikata.
Being adopted to The Higashikata gave Josuke chance to investigate the family tree, through the record, he found out about Holy Joestar, Kira’s mother and a doctor as well. The mother currently is seriously ill and being admitted at T.G.U Hospital. Josuke met Kyo and discovered about the “equivalent exchange” ability on Higashikata’s land.
Later, Josuke got attacked by Yagiyama Yotsuyu, the architect who works for Higashikata. Yotsuyu revealed the existence of rock-humans and Locacaca, the miraculous fruit. Apparently, Tsurugi, Norisuke IV’s grandson is hit by hereditary rock-disease, The Higashikata’s family curse.
Tsurugi’s illness is similar to Holy's condition, Locacaca fruit is believed to be able to heal them. Josuke intends to get the fruit to cure Holy, the fruit is connected to Jobin, Norisuke IV’s son. Josuke then investigated Jobin and found out about Damokan Group. Jobin and the group had been doing illicit business of smuggling Locacaca and money-laundering. Their business was discovered by Kira two years ago.
Josuke (Yasuho and Tsurugi) had been attacked several times by Damokan Group, who turned out to be the rock-humans. Sometimes ago, he met Karera and discovered about Josefumi, a part of his identity.
Josuke and The Higashikata family got attacked by Damo, the leader of Damokan Group. Damo revealed that Kira and Josefumi had stolen the Locacaca from them some months ago. The group got rid of them, but then it is revealed that Kira and Josefumi got fused and became Josuke because Locacaca fruit planted on Higashikata's land is consumed by them, which then dubbed as The New Locacaca. With the last of its member died, Damokan Group was disbanded.
The Higashikata's land does have healing properties, the Higashikata mothers (Tomoko and Caato) had been using the land in the past to cure their son of the rock-disease using a method called equivalent exchange.
Josuke and Yasuho were investigating Jobin, it was revealed by Dolomité that Jobin was a gofer aka not the big player in the “Locacaca games”. Dolomité hinted the existence of a bigger organization than Damokan Group.
Josuke set his eyes to get The New Locacaca in order to cure Holy. Josuke met Mamezuku Rai, a plant appraiser works for Higashikata, to identify The New Locacaca. Josuke, Rai and Yasuho got attacked by Urban Guerrilla, whom then also revealed as a doctor in T.G.U Hospital, he was instructed by Poor Tom who was also a doctor in T.G.U Hospital.
Meanwhile, Jobin worked with Poor Tom, to get rid Josuke and the plant appraiser. Jobin got tricked by Poor Tom and in return, he tricked Poor Tom (and Josuke) back by burning the orchard and using Tsurugi’s illusion). Poor Tom was eliminated by his own comrades who were disguised as ambulance drivers and Jobin secured the branch of The New Locacaca, which he would plant and use to cure his son.
Josuke and Rai were investigating the ambulance, meanwhile Yasuho was in T.G.U Hospital. She met Mitsuba, then both got attacked by Wu Tomoki, another doctor in T.G.U Hospital. In the middle of their fight, they met Tooru, who works as part-timer in the hospital. Wu revealed that Holy created the hidden Locacaca lab at the hospital but she failed in her research. Josuke finally came to finish off Wu.
Josuke, Yasuho and Rai began researching T.G.U Hospital and discovering its history and profile, they learned that Wu Tomoki, Urban Guerrilla, Poor Tom, and the unseen head doctor of the hospital were the only people to have entered the secret laboratory. Unable to find any information on the mysterious head doctor, they began to investigate him and that was where the Dangerous Pursuit with The Head Doctor had begun.
Josuke’s gang (with Yasuho and Rai), Jobin’s side (with Tsurugi and Mitsuba) and The Head Doctor gang, all of the factions are actively fighting over The New Locacaca for their respective objectives.
Just focus on the bolded words! Rock-humans, rock-disease (illness), equivalent exchange, Locacaca (the cure), doctors, hospital, etc, those are the core points in the story of JJL.
Problem 1: “The lack of foreshadow in Head Doctor gang as the big villain group.”
Part 8 which began with the search for Josuke's identity, also began with medical/health theme with “doctors” and “hospital” from the beginning (besides the motherhood of course). Just after Josuke got into a fight with Joshu, the setting moved to the hospital.
JJL chapter 2: Soft & Wet – part 1
Then, Josuke and Yasuho discovered Kira, a ship doctor.
JJL chapter 6: Soft & Wet – part 5
Later, Josuke found out about Holy, Kira’s mother who was also happened to be a doctor at T.G.U Hospital. She is currently being admitted at said hospital.
JJL chapter 11: Family Tree
Then we learned about the rock-disease, a mysterious illness that afflicts Higashikata family from generation to generation:
JJL chapter 26: Tsurugi Higashikata’s Goal and The Architect
and Locacaca, a mysterious fruit with healing properties:
JJL chapter 32:” I am A Rock” – part 2
38 chapters later, after Josuke finished dealing with Damokan Group (and Jobin), Dolomité gave him a hint about the existence of greater organization.
A flashback with Yasuho also had hospital as one of its settings.
JJL chapter 71: Hairclip of the Qing Dynasty
In a flashback of Jobin’s first meeting with Damokan Group at a stadium, he had a quarrel with his father a moment before. He mentioned about the doctors from T.G. University who have indirectly interfered with their family business:
JJL chapter 72: The Northern Higashikata Estate, The Orchard
Josuke’s gang had been fighting with Urban Guerilla, another doctor and a rock-human:
JJL chapter 70: Urban Guerilla and Doremifasolati Do – part 3
Josuke, Rai, with Jobin and his family were against Poor Tom, the rock-humans. The losing Poor Tom got eliminated by his comrades disguised as medics in an ambulance.
JJL chapter 77: Head to T.G. University Hospital
Said ambulance led Josuke’s gang to the T.G.U Hospital, the fight with one of Poor Tom’s comrades, Dr.Wu also happened there. And Tooru also made his first appearance there as a part-timer:
JJL chapter 81: Doctor Wu and Awaking 3 Leaves - Part 3
The fight with Dr. Wu revealed the Locacaca lab created by Holy. Josuke’s gang began investigating to anyone who has ever entered the lab and found a group of rock-humans who work as doctors in the hospital:
JJL chapter 83: The New Locacaca
In the same chapter (83), Tooru also revealed to Yasuho that he is a med student:
And the main fight with 「Wonder of U」 has been happening mostly in T.G.U Hospital.
Therefore, since the beginning, “doctors” have been prominent in JJL story, “the hospital” also becomes the dominant setting in Morioh (besides Higashikata’s house).
JJL has main themes such as "breaking the curse", “family” and " motherhood", but what can link all those things in JJL’s storyline are medical-related such as illness, the cure, hospital and doctor that are reflected in the presence of “rock-disease”, “Locacaca fruit” (as a miracle drug), the profession of majority characters as “doctors” and “the hospital” being one of the main settings.
Albeit subtle, having a villain group as the rock-humans gang who work as doctors is in line with the theme JJL has. As such, they have more involvement and closest influence in using Locacaca fruit or conducting research on it.
Besides, “doctors” and “hospital” as profession and place for taking care the sick and the weak often traditionally associated with the nature of nurture in “motherhood”.
Problem 2: “The lack of relation and coordination between Head Doctor gang and the previous villain gang, Damokan Group.”
The Head Doctor gang only debuted after around 2/3 of JoJolion’s story up to the latest chapter (100), without apparent foreshadowing either. This becomes problem for some readers, so their opinion is divided. Some of them think that Head Doctor gang and Damokan Group are separate groups that operate independently, besides the plot hints that Damokan Group is connected to HD.
Therefore, readers find it a little difficult to think of HD gang as Damokan Group's superior. They consider Damokan Group and HD gang more as “two separated & independent villain groups” than as “one structured villainous organization”, and then concluded that HD gang is not an organization belonging to the main villain.
Such way of thinking is not false, the manga itself has implicated several times that there is a lack of coordination between HD gang and Damokan Group, even more so than Passione with its mysterious Boss.
JJL chapter 70: Urban Guerilla and Doremifasolati Do – part 3
JJL chapter 92: The Wonder of You (Your Miraculous Love) – part 9
The only things connecting them are: the fact that they are the rock-humans, Locacaca which is in their interest, and that they know each other. So, it is the case of yes but actually no.
The rock-humans and Locacaca, those two things are what defined JJL (part 8). The rock-humans came as the race of mysterious beings, who live side by side with humans but do not have mutual relations.
Araki has several times provided information regarding rock-humans, about their biology and also how they work in society, while he has made rock-humans into “the villain”. As both HD gang and Damokan Group are the rock-humans organization, let’s focus on the info regarding “how the rock-humans work in society”.
JJL chapter 46: Love Love Deluxe – part 4
From the beginning, Araki had emphasized that the rock-humans have incompatibility relationship with regular humans, that they have differences in the ways of life, philosophical views, and so on. Since the beginning of their debut through Yotsuyu (who had stolen a man’s identity), the rock-humans’ nature is antagonistic to the humans.
Therefore, it's no wonder that Araki made them “the villains” for the protagonists (and regular humans). It’s a reminiscing of The Pillar Men from Battle Tendency (part 2).
Based on Araki’s narration, rock-humans shouldn't have been created to conflict with carbon-based (regular) humans, but rather to serve as a backup instead those carbon-based beings fail. But over time, their existence has become like “day and night”, “sun and moon”, “black and white”, etc. Eventually, the rock-humans will always conflict with carbon-based (regular) humans.
Chapter 99 also said that even with each other, rock-humans do not have close bond or affection for each other. Starting from the rock-women who have no affection to their babies, the rock-humans live without parental figures and rely only on survivability.
The fact that since the very beginning they were born, the rock-humans were not familiar with the concepts of affection and intimation. Even in working together, there is no love and friendship between them.
JJL chapter 99: Endless Calamity – part 5
Therefore, based on all the explanations regarding the rock-humans, of course it makes perfect sense that the relationship between HD gang and Damokan Group were so lacking, it would not be any further than just mutual benefit.
Even when compared to the relationship between the teams in Passione, where there were (still) competition, selfishness and hidden agendas between them, HD gang and Damokan Group feel less coordinated than Passione.
But that's how rock-humans work in collaboration and organization, that’s how they operate. A sense of detachment is what truly defines rock-humans:
Rock-human babies are detached to their biological mothers.
Damokan Group is detached from HD gang.
The members of HD gang are detached from each other (as we don’t really see them communicated to each other “on-panel”).
Tooru, as the leader of HD gang, is detached to his underlings (as we never see him leading his men “on-panel”).
Suppose that Tooru is “de facto” leader of HD gang…
A brilliant Anon from 4chan summarized a possibility of Tooru as the big villain, orchestrating the plot in JJL:
Tooru as the true mastermind in Locacaca conspiracy through Head Doctor gang represents exactly how the rock-humans work (in society). “Blending” and “not standing out” in society are their nature. Tooru as the hidden leader of HD gang has also successfully made us the readers completely unable to predict his existence (something some readers complain about as: the lack of foreshadowing).
JJL chapter 92: The Wonder of You (Your Miraculous Love) – part 9
Tooru and Diavolo are both “The Boss” who lead their underlings in the shadows. But in the case of Diavolo, we can still see him giving instructions to his men remotely (via message), his underlings aware of his existence while questioning his identity.
And in the case of Tooru, who was impersonating as The Head Doctor Akefu Satoru, using his Stand 「Wonder of U」, his subordinates (perhaps) were completely unaware of his true existence, let alone his identity, which ultimately rendered himself unknown to us (the readers).
Tooru and 「Wonder of U」 are Diavolo’s wet dream. Diavolo who had been desperately hiding his identity was still terrorized by his former underlings who were after him. However, until now, Josuke, Rai, Yasuho and the Higashikata family who has been terrorized by WOU still don’t realize that Tooru is the source of all this.
Thematic Parallelism and Aesthetical Points
Rather than using story progression, action sequences and information (such as narrative box and mentions), JoJo fans nowadays prefer to focus on thematic significance (such as parallelism) and symbolism (aesthetical points) in determining “who will be the main villain”. It’s not that Tooru is lacking in those things, it's just that the fans overlook them in favor of hyping another character.
For example, in the panel above (just now), it is the members of the Head Doctor gang, taken from chapter 99 when we got new information regarding the rock-humans and their purpose to exist in this world. HD gang has become the antagonist group after Damokan Group finished.
Tooru is placed at the back (which coincidentally, he also appeared the last). The positions of the other members in front of Tooru are placed in a zigzag manner. Even Poor Tom, who is at the very front, leans slightly to the left.
Tooru’s position is in the middle of the panel and the most obvious, with his body also clearly visible, that he is standing behind them as if everything the other members were doing was under his instruction.
What is even more interesting: there is the absence of Akefu Satoru, I think this should be an implication that Tooru might indeed be HD Akefu's true identity, not his right-hand man as readers (wanted) to think initially.
Tooru also has little accessories that adorn his attire, as readers often think that JJL has a "motherhood" theme, the accessories on his attire could also be a symbol representing that theme:
Yeah, it’s a “bear”, so what do bears have to do with motherhood? Forgive me for answering a question with a question, but have you ever heard the term "mama bear"? Like many other mammals depicted throughout history as predators, bears are actually passive animals, and won't attack humans unless provoked. Despite this, if you even think about getting between a mother bear and her cub she'll tear straight through you. Threaten her children, and you are in for a world of hurt.
Of course, Tooru doesn’t have to be a mother to be the villain as Josuke the protagonist himself is not a mother (LOL).
JJL chapter 99: Endless Calamity – part 5
In addition, rock-baby Tooru also took over the body of hornet queen, “mother among mothers” which kinda implied that he became “the mother" of the hornet colony (for multiple generations).
Interestingly, in the cover of chapter 99, Araki has drawn a part of Tooru's trousers with Locacaca as the motif. Perhaps Araki really wanted to say that Tooru has a hand with Locacaca.
Then, regarding the parallelism, what is popular among readers is about "selflessness vs selfishness" that both protagonists and antagonists might represent. In mothers, it has been represented by Holy and Caato. It could also be represented by Josuke and Jobin, but what about Tooru?
His appearance which is still far less than Jobin makes it difficult for us to judge his true personality. However, his latest revelation as a rock-human can be used as a reference to his true nature, that being rock-human is not much different from being selfish. At least, we have seen that he has no intention of saving Yasuho (an act of selflessness) and he chose to continue his objective to acquire the New Locacaca (an act of selfishness).
Lastly, the Head Doctor gang and Damokan Group, both are the rock-humans villainous organization where one represents “medical experts/specialists” and the other represents illegal “pharmacy” that supply Locacaca (the cure) like a drug cartel… and Tooru supposedly was behind them.

Rock-Humans’ & The New Locacaca (Tooru’s possible motivation)
There is a small theory on why Tooru wants to perfect the Locacaca's Equivalent Exchange using the "New Locacaca", it has been written by u/TheNemesisT on reddit:
It's been pointed out during the exposition about Rock Humans birth process how the Female Rock Humans can reproduce with normal humans, but not the other way around. We've been also told in said exposition, that:
They also treasure places and objects that grant them special abilities. (JJL chapter 99)
Rock Humans lack the capacity to form "social bonds", with some exceptions such as the “Damokan Group” and the T.G.U. Doctors.
JoJolion has touched a lot of themes through these 100 chapters, but the recurring theme since chapter 001 has been “family and identity”, the rock-humans have neither of these, they are fabricated beings with fabricated identities, so to speak.
Despite the fact that Rock Humans lack the capacity to form social bonds, we've seen how some of them, such as Aishō tried to form relationships other than business, but ended up failing due to his rock-human nature.
Taking what we've seen up until this point of Tooru and Yasuho's relationship, we can assume Tooru is indeed the kind of rock-human that has tried to form relationships but ultimately, he put his nature to get anything that upgrades his being first.
From the speech given by "Akefu Satoru" we know that the New Locacaca's equivalent exchange is perfect, and it can mix and heal anything so perfectly that it would be unnoticeable. Putting it in simple words: Why would Tooru care about health if he lacks actual compassion for other beings?
The New Locacaca is the object rock-humans need to evolve. If it works as intended and the mix is perfect, it would give the rock-humans the ability to reproduce properly, it would grant them something they've never had, families and identities, the New Locacaca would grant them the ability to become “humans”.
This also relates to the theory proposed by u/Mamezuku from reddit:
What if rock-women no longer exist anymore? We have never seen any rock-woman (besides the flashback), only groups of men so far. What if the Doctors are trying to use the Locacaca in order to create a legacy, a rock-baby? That's why the perfect New Locacaca is very important to the Head Doctor’s gang. Notice how the narrator specified in this very chapter how normal men can make babies with rock-women, but not vice versa. The growth process that a rock-human has to go through is extremely harsh and difficult, hence why there's not many rock-human alive. What if no rock-women survive in this generation and only rock-men are left now? This would be an awesome motive for the rock-humans (Tooru) and so far it looks like it's heading this way.
Tooru and the other remaining villain candidates
Jobin and Tooru
Assuming that Jobin will survive (as his death isn’t confirmed yet): compared to Tooru, Jobin definitely had more screen time than him, which automatically makes him a more developed character. We have been following Jobin’s character much longer than Tooru, thus he left a deeper impression on readers than Tooru.
We already know who he is and are pretty familiar with him, we know what thing he likes, his relationship with his family, and his background is pretty clear. We have seen his flashback, we also have seen plenty enough about his Stand 「Speed King」. His motivation is not grandiose and idealistic but very humane, he only cares to his family and it’s always about his family.
He has a pretty good standing as the heir of Higashikata family, the richest family in Morioh. He was cooperating with Damokan Group in Locacaca smuggling and money-laundering, but Damokan Group's position as underling to HD gang and Jobin status to them as merely a gofer makes his connection to the Locacaca less influential compared to “Head Doctor”.
Tooru seemingly has a greater objective in utilizing The New Locacaca. He is just confirmed as a rock-human being and allegedly is the leader and the mastermind of the Locacaca Organization. As he has the access to assume The Head Doctor of T.G.U Hospital, it’s clear that he’s holding a high position. His Stand, 「Wonder of U」is already considered powerful and very dangerous.
However, his real identity and his origin as an individual is still unknown, his personal motive is also still in the dark. Though slowly but surely, his identity is being revealed. Chapter after chapter increasingly assures us that Tooru will be the actual “Head Doctor” that was in undercover.
Chapter 99 confirmed that he is a rock-human and also the perpetrator who ruined Rai's family & his life in the past. It's clear that Tooru also wants The New Locacaca. It’s also implied that being a rock-human, he is older than he looks and he also knows about “the saint”. There is still a possibility that we will see his connection with the pasts that have not been revealed yet.
Caato and Tooru
Caato had appeared 26 chapters earlier than Tooru, thus making the readers more familiar to her than him. Besides, her first appearance also gives a very strong impression on the readers. Araki totally dedicated her debut by giving her a dramatic shoots in the first chapter she appeared.
Caato's second appearance also added to the hype for readers, the supposedly entertaining family reunion scene also added mystery to her character regarding the murder she committed and the mysterious “15 years contribution” to the family business she claimed.
Caato also got her backstory along with Jobin, making her character even compelling and more solid. But unfortunately, many readers have misunderstood the true meaning of her backstory as Caato is surrounded with the overhypeness her supporters do for her.
Tooru did appear later than Caato, his appearance which was done very natural gives little impression to the readers. We knew almost nothing about Tooru during his early appearances. However, Araki is passionately developing his character in his recent chapters. We got information and solid hints regarding Tooru much more than Caato (and her supporters try to provide).
So far, Caato only appeared in 4 chapters and that's only how much her actual development is. Tooru had appeared in 10 chapters, he had already surpassed her appearance (and development) and will likely more. Unless, Caato will reappear again… only time will tell.
Conclusion (aka TL;DR)
Tooru’s debut which came quite late and with a weak impression as well causes the readers doubt his role as major villain. Even if the main villain's role will be his, readers would probably rate him fairly low (a similar case to Diavolo).
Jobin can even end up being fan-favorite villain, besides him not being “the main”. And if Caato will end up to be the main villain, I don’t think that she will be rated highly too, people will realize how ridiculous her hype was at the time.
So far, JJBA already had 8 story parts in it, and the story of each part is very unique to one another. Therefore, the conflict and the villain’s situation contained in each section should not work similarly.
Based on those eight parts, pattern and formula are getting noticeable. However, we should be aware that those patterns are being played with flexibility.
That Araki might use the "pattern" as a reference so that he doesn't make JJBA deviate from its world-building that has been set since the beginning.
But the pattern should not limit his creativity either, because as “the god" in the world he created, he has the right to add new ideas and concepts that have never been considered by readers before.
Here, I am trying to dig deeper into the story of JJL, in “what is this really about?” By studying the true meaning of JJL, I found that the concept of Tooru as the main villain in this story is very likely to work.
But Araki is not “the perfect” writer, we humans can't possibly please everyone. Using Tooru as the main villain has the potential to disappoint some readers. Because the readers’ taste does not always correspond with what is truly desired by Araki.
That's why I respect Araki, he is such unwavering writer. The opinions of his readers do not affect what he truly wants to say in the stories he writes.
He is also an experimental writer who is often interested in trying (and adding) new things to his world. Stone Ocean's failure did not discourage him, so he was able to create “a part” that becomes the most favorite among today's readers: Steel Ball Run.
Besides, as time goes by, readers are also beginning to appreciate Stone Ocean. In the end, the message that Araki wanted to convey in part 6 finally reached the readers who are willing to explore it more in depth.
SBR's success did not make Araki satisfied in his comfort zone, so he created a whole new story concept that very differs from SBR and all the parts he's ever created, a story with mystery as its main theme named JoJolion.
And with the mysterious nature JoJolion has, Araki makes the identity of the main villain much more mysterious than the previous parts. We as readers are still wondering who will be the main villain even after 100 chapters have already passed. Will it be Tooru? Again… only time will tell.
Of course there was always a risk in making Tooru the main villain, however, I believe that Araki is ready to accept that risk. He is such a writer who writes what he wants to write, not what his readers ask.

JJBA (VA) Purge AU (cont)
part 1
(if the layout feels messy, it’s bc im literally brainstorming as i go lol)
since Italy obviously doesn't have Founding Fathers, i've decided that:
- the Purge is an idea from a branch of the government called Arrow
- the idea is that each year an "arrow" will be "shot" (ie the Purge) to "kill off" the suffering & crimes & poverty & general unwanted bs in the world (or just Italy i guess jsgjfhdhd), and then Requiem Italy is post-Purge, or "cleansed" Italy
4. Bucciarati:
i'm pretty torn on Bucci's background. at first i was like "he's gonna be this righteous leader against Arrow," but that's kinda boring and my bruabba braincells were acting up, so:
Bucciarati doesn't need the Purge. he justifies who he kills, and why, himself. the whole thing abt his parents' divorce and his dad's encounter with suspicious people still happened, so he kills to protect his dad (& other innocents when needed).
unfortunately, the suspicious ppl his dad encountered was affiliated with Arrow, and soon they realize that they can't have 1) people going around dirtying Arrow's image (like Bucci's dad), and 2) people who don't see the benefit of the Purge (Bucci who just commits crimes blatantly). so they send people (kinda like Big Daddy's minions in "Purge: Anarchy") to kill off Bucci's dad. Bucci becomes better and better at killing by defending his dad from these oncoming attacks, and he also realizes that Arrow's program is only to benefit the people in power and the rich. plus they aren't even following the rules they preach, and instead just flat out target the Buccis 24/7, since they're only a poor family of two. Bucci refuses to participate in Purges, but kills Arrow soldiers regularly.
and then word gets out to the police. since Bucci is basically a rogue criminal who's managed to evade the law (Arrow can't get rid of him but they can't arrest him either bc then it would be obvious that they're trying to cover up sth sus), the police sends Abbacchio after him in that year's Purge.
side note abt the timeline:
- let's say "that year" is either 2001 (when canon VA happened) or 1/a few years before, i haven't decided
- Giorno probably killed his parents in 2000's Purge
- Fugo & Abba Purge every year so the timeline doesn't mean shit to them :'D
5. Mista:
mmnnggghhhhh im really struggling w Mista & Narancia :'D let's see:
since canonically Bucci recruits Mista for his gunslinging skills, and before he joined Passione Mista was just this guy who was trying to mind his own business, have a good life & maybe do morally good things once in a while
so
Mista probably doesn't Purge. he's one of those ppl who lockdown at home and just chill while listening to the raging bs outside. he's on the fence about whether Purge actually benefits society or not.
he will become involved with the Purge and the fight with Arrow one day, but i'm starting to come up with a plot for this, so no spoilers ;)
but i will say this: even if Mista happens to be out in the streets during Purge one day, he'll probably be fine purely bc his gunslinging skills are so great.
6. Narancia:
(back to struggling)
Narancia is a rich boi, but neither he or his family enjoys Purging. they either only watch Purges happen like rich elites do, or just lockdown like Mista and doesn't care. but then Narancia's mom died, and his dad's attitude began to change, so Narancia became rebellious and joined a gang (that one with that blond dude that later betrayed him, y'all know what im talking abt). this gang is kinda like that weird-ass creepy gang at the beginning of "Purge: Anarchy," in that they tail ppl around and kills/vandalizes for fun. and Narancia was still just an impressionable young boi with a knack for violence and destruction, so he's like "hell yea hail Purges"
so that's what Nara does, until one day the gang leader (blond dude) gets greedy and orders the gang to do some illegal shit like minutes away from the ending sirens. (oh yeah and he already told Nara to dye his hair so he'd look like him.) and then when the sirens blare, Narancia is stuck behind "committing a crime," so he's put into juvenile jail. in there he has quiet reflection time, and he realizes that Purges do nothing but hurt the weak & vulnerable, and became disgusted at his old way of thinking. so when he was released, he swore off Purging. but ofc his gang isn't happy about that, so they probably come back to terrorize him or some shit. AND his dad probably is deadbeat asf and doesn't even give a shit abt his ex-convict son, so Narancia becomes this scared child out in the streets, living in fear of the next Purge that he sees others preaching about every day.
IM SO TORN IN TERMS OF SHIPPING YALL HAVE NO IDEA, LIKE:
- bruabba?? DEFINITELY HAPPENING i live & breathe for them i love them sm
- giomis? to be completely honest, even when i was watching the anime for the first time, i never felt the same passion for them as other fans seem to :'(
- so im really thinking abt fugio, which will be great cos i already have a scenario abt how they're gonna meet
- but then fugonara comes to torment me, and like, i don't ship naramis either. and i'm like, not everyone has to fall in love. so i'll just have bruabba and fugio??
- but THEN my brain comes up w a scenario for fugonara
- which actually... will work great if their rela is one-sided????? but I'LL BE IN PAIN AND NOBODY LIKES THAT ;_;
anyway
let me do my girl Trish and then maybe i'll reveal the scenarios, maybe not ;)
7. Trish:
obv Diavolo is the asshole who runs Arrow and proposed the Purge to the Italian gov first.
in this AU he and Trish will probs have a relationship cos i do be having daddy issues tho and i just need my dad representation ;_; but that don't mean this gna be a good relationship :')
Diavolo's probably also deadbeat asf, but Trish knows this young man, Doppio, who seems to work closely with her father, but unlike many of his colleagues is very sweet to her. the only thing she kinda hates abt him is how he always praise Arrow and the Purge, as if it's the one solution to all the problems in the world.
Trish herself is indifferent towards Purge. she never has to participate anyway, and is never in danger either (bc of her dad obv). but she always feels icky when she has to go to these over-the-top parties where rich people gather to watch the poor & the crazy slaughter each other. but if given the choice, she will probably just turn a blind eye and be a bystander to ppl's suffering, since she isn't sure if she even has enough strength to go against her father.
Trish will also get involved w Bucci and stuff, but i 1) haven't decided how yet, and 2) don't wanna provide spoilers, soooooo
reveal ship scenarios? yes or no??

Psycho Analysis: Hol Horse
(WARNING! This analysis contains SPOILERS!)
So last year I thought it was a good idea to try and review all of the enemy Stand users in Stardust Crusaders in a totally random order. The results were… mixed. Some of them I think came out okay, but others? Not so much. One of them was just an entire backhanded attack against some guy who decided to say “No one likes your analyses” because I think ProJared was a creep. It was, quite frankly, a mess, and I never bothered to revisit it and never thought I would, even though I still hadn’t covered the glorious, wonderful human being who is Hol Horse.
Well, now, after playing Heritage for the Future and All-Star Battle as well as just becoming a bit more knowledgeable on JJBA, I’ve decided to not only give Hol Horse his dues, but also at least briefly go back over or cover the other Stand users and give them a rating or an updated rating, as the case may be. So buckle in, this is gonna be a long one, and it’s all gonna start with everyone’s favorite incompetent henchman.
Hol Horse is probably one of the most amazing characters Araki has ever created. Hol Horse is in possession of a powerful Stand, The Emperor, which is literally a magical gun that fires bullets he can control the trajectory of. By all accounts, Hol Horse should be the single most dangerous foe that the Crusaders face, more than even Vanilla Ice. This guy should be able to shoot them all dead without a second thought! There’s just one tiny little caveat:
Hol Horse is a fucking moron.
This man is cowardly, incompetent, and just the punching bag of cruel misfortune as all his plans constantly go awry and he is constantly knocked on his ass. And yet, Hol Horse is still the most beloved enemy Stand User of Stardust Crusaders, and it’s not hard to see why. Because despite all of his bumbling, Hol Horse just oozes a sort of cool you just don’t see every day.
(For best results, listen to this the whole time while reading the following).
Motivation/Goals: Hol Horse is one of the few henchmen of DIO who is motivated purely by his own greed… at least, at first. Eventually he has his ass handed to him one too many times, and he decides to try and assassinate DIO. This goes about as well as you’d expect, and Hol Horse – not just part of it, the ENTIRE Horse – is so scared out of his mind that he decides, yep, loyalty to DIO is the way to go! It doesn’t work out, but hey, he tried, right?
Performance: Imami Williams gives Hol Horse that raspy, American charm he needs in the anime adaptation. With his voice and the animation combined, we get to see our favorite smarmy sharpshooter who can’t shoot for shit shoot his shot and miss every time, and it is simply glorious.
Final Fate: Hol Horse kidnaps Boingo and forces him to work with him to finally get his revenge! With the prophetic skills of Thoth and the raw damage that can be done with Emperor, there’s no way they could lose! And yet, as is always the case with Thoth, things go horrendously awry and Hol Horse, despite having the ability to control the trajectory of his bullets, ends up shooting himself and knocking him out of part 3 for good.
Best Scene: Really, just the entirety of the episodes where he teams up with Boingo, especially when he tries holding up Polnareff. Considering what comes after and what came before it, it’s just the dose of lighthearted fun needed before you watch all of your favorite characters get brutally murdered by DIO and Vanilla Ice,.
Best Quote: There is only one line it could be, and it’s Hol Horse’s response to Thoth’s suggestion he kick a woman in the neck: “Listen, Boingo... I am the nicest man in the world. I have girlfriends everywhere. I might lie to a woman, but I'll never hit them! It doesn't matter how ugly they are! Because I respect women!”
That’s right, everyone. Hol Horse drinks Respect Women Juice.
Final Thoughts & Score: Hol Horse is simply astounding. The character is such a colossal screwup that he shouldn’t be as good as he is… yet he is. The dude is gifted with the most incredible power imaginable, and yet somehow he is never able to do a goddamn thing with that power! You control where the bullets go, dude! How can you not hit anything?! It’s interesting how his cowardice and lack of motivation makes him a perfect representation of the inverted Emperor tarot card, but hey, tarot motifs are par for the course with the Stand users.
But there’s something charming to how pathetic Hol Horse is. He’s always plying second banana, he’s a dirty coward who turns tail and runs when things aren’t looking good for him, he never wins a single battle, he didn’t even kill the one guy it seemed like he killed… but throughout it all he still has this sort of smarmy charisma to him that makes him impossible to hate. It’s no wonder this guy has girls all over the world, because he is a world-class charmer. There’s also how Hol Horse is just a character who really, really lives by his own personal philosophy – that is to say, he always likes to be #2, never going into a fight without backup. It’s kind of refreshing to see him always stick by this, even to his own detriment; it’s hard to hate a man who’s principled to that degree. And, of course, this man respects women. Good on him.
It helps that Hol Horse’s inexplicable popularity has led to him getting his time to shine in outside media. Heritage for the Future has two versions of him, his regular form and one that partners him with Boingo, and in skilled hands his Emperor finally gets to live up to its deadly potential. And he’s no slouch in his return appearance in All-Star Battle, and what’s more impressive is in that game he is part of the base roster while Joseph and Iggy, two of the main heroes, are relegated to DLC! You heard me right: the bumbling cowboy who did not win a single fight or even come close to it and spent a lot of time shooting himself managed to beat out out two iconic heroes from the same part onto the roster! Horsey Man must be doing something right.
As this video shows, Hol Horse is one of the most influential characters in the JJBA franchise, having helped to shape the franchise going forward and helped to inspire the traits that made beloved characters like Guido Mista, Gyro Zeppeli, and Yoshikage Kira as legendary as they are. Hell, Hol Horse is just so awesome he almost got to be a protagonist, but Araki decided that Horsey was too similar to my favorite big-titty Frenchman, Polnareff. This means Hol Horse never got his time to shine as a hero, and so stayed a villain til the end… but hey, can he really be that sad if he gets a 10/10 on Psycho Analysis?
Actually, maybe he wouldn’t like that. He likes to play second fiddle to others, after all. But I guess that’s just the curse with these JoJo villains who want to not stand out; they always end up being the best and most memorable characters.
Anyway, now that we’ve got the best of the best out of the way, it’s time for...
Psycho Analysis: DIO’s Other Henchmen
I’m just gonna give my brief thoughts on these guys. Most of them are pretty one-note oneshots, but there are a few who rise above that and manage to be something else entirely. These guys were a learning experience for Araki, and his enemy Stand users of the week definitely improved with later parts, with Vento Aureo really cranking it up to 11.
But for now, we’re stuck with these guys.
Gray Fly: I actually stand by my opinion from my original review of him; he’s nothing incredibly memorable, but he’s a solid start to the adventure and he is directly responsible for diverting the journey onto the course it ended up going on. Without him, things would have likely played out far differently. A 5/10 is still a good score for him.
Fake Captain Tenille: He actually gets bumped down to a 2/10, due to my changes in how things are scored. He’s not amusing enough to be in the “So bad it’s good” category of the other 3s, he’s just really lame and forgettable, and he still somehow manages to lose when he has the advantage. What a dweeb.
Forever: If you think the monkey boat fight is dropping in score, you’re mistaken. Forever remains at an 8/10 for being such a delightfully weird curveball that helps set the tone for the franchise to follow.
Devo: One of the weirder playable character choices from Heritage for the Future, and certainly not one I like too much; he’s also a random event that is pretty useful in All-Star Battle’s online campaign, so that’s a good mark for him. If nothing else, he gave a good showing of Polnareff’s skills when under pressure, so… yeah. I think a 5/10 is good enough.
Rubber Soul: This review I regret because I was backhandedly responding to that guy who weirdly decided to bring up my distaste for ProJared in a review of Arabia Fats and Kenny G. I do mostly stand by what I said; Rubber Soul is one of the more amusing minor foes, if only because of his ridiculous performance as Kakyoin. Still, it really sucks he was just a clone character in Heritage for the Future… put he gets points for having the iconic cherry-licking as a taunt. 6/10 is where he remains.
J. Geil: Again, my opinion hasn’t changed: J. Geil is a mountain of wasted potential, but at the very least he makes for a good antagonist for his brief appearance and hey, he’s the one who helped bring us the beautiful hunk of man that is Hol Horse, so I’d feel bad giving him less than a 7/10.
Nena: I honestly think Nena is one of the most boring Stand users of the part, which is sad because her episode gives Joseph the spotlight. She’s just really gross and uninteresting, and you’ll likely forget her after her episode is over. 2/10.
ZZ: ZZ is not particularly great, and his design is just there to be a joke, but it’s hard to totally hate a guy who manages to roll references to Christine, Duel, and the album cover for Eliminator by his namesake into one. I think he’s more of a 4/10, but probably on the higher end there. He’s not great, but he has enough going for him to keep me from hating him.
Enya: So if I thought that J. Geil was a waste of potential, I feel this even more so for his mother Enya. Despite being hyped up as this big, intimidating right-hand woman to DIO early on, she gets one appearance where her Stand is defeated by Star Platinum pulling a power out his ass and then is unceremoniously killed by Steely Dan of all people. I will give her this: her interactions with Polnareff are absolutely hilarious. But when all you have going for is some jokes, don’t be surprised when you end up with a 6/10, which you’re pretty much only getting because even despite the mountains of wasted potential you’re really not that bad.
She do be looking hot in the OVA tho.
Steely Dan: My opinion is unchanged; he’s a solid 7/10 oneshot douchebag. Nothing more, nothing less. His level in the PS1 game seriously blows, though.
Arabia Fats: I was too hard on this guy. While I meant everything I said, and his episode is boring filler, does it really make him a bottom of the barrel all-time worst villain? No. It just makes him a crappy joke character. 2/10.
Mannish Boy: I regret not getting to this guy last time, because aside from Forever he’s probably one of the most insane Stand user of the part, seeing as he is an infant. Like, he’s just an evil baby who can kill people in their dreams. And he gets defeated by being force fed his own crap. Much like Forever, it’s fun to speculate where exactly DIO found this guy; did he just go to a nursery and start jabbing babies with the Stand arrow? Did he meet this guy at a Cairo night club? What exactly is Mannish Boy’s origin? He’s just so utterly and hilariously inexplicable. He’s definitely a 7/10; he doesn’t quite have the shock factor that Forever did before him, but let’s not pretend an evil talking baby Stand user isn’t one hell of a weird twist.
Cameo: This guy really lives up to his name; his Stand is the one that gets the most screentime, with the actual Stand user being relegated to a – you guessed it – cameo appearance at the end of the fight. Thankfully, his Stand is an enjoyable take on jerkass genies and gives a pretty sad and disturbing episode that not only features my man Polnareff, but also marks the point where Avdol returns and brings “Hell 2 U!” I think he deserves at least a 7/10, even if this is mainly for Judgment. Still, a Stand is a representation of the user’s soul, so I think it works out.
Here’s the Stand:
And here’s the man behind it:
Midler: Midler is one of the single most interesting characters from the pre-Egypt half of Stardust Crusaders, and is the point where Stand users really started to get interesting. Her Stand, High Priestess, has a really funky and unique design, and her battle serves as the final roadblock before the Crusaders arrive in Egypt. Despite never appearing onscreen, with only her unconscious body being shown at the end of the fight in a way that obscures her, she got to appear in Heritage for the Future with an awesome sexy belly dancer design and a badass moveset that makes her a really fun character to play as. Taking everything into account, I think she just barely scrapes into the bottom of the 8/10 pool, though really this is mainly for her playable appearance.
N’Doul: My opinions really haven’t changed on him. He’s still an 8/10.
Oingo & Boingo: These guys are, in a word, hilarious. In between the grueling, brutal fight with N’Doul and the later fights in the part, these guys bring some much needed levity to the proceedings. Oingo gets an entire episode where he just completely bumbles about as he attempts to impersonate Jotaro to assassinate the Crusaders, failing at every turn and only managing to blow himself up in the end. Boingo fares a little better, eventually getting roped in to Hol Horse’s scheme to get some revenge, which leads to one of the funniest episodes of the entire series as Hol Horse and Oingo hold up Polnareff. I think they collectively get an 8/10 for being two of the funniest Stand users in the part. They even get their own unique end credits in the anime (with Hol Horse joining in on the fun when he teams up with Boingo)!
Anubis: Again, my opinion is unchanged, though I must say him having technically three playable appearances in Heritage for the Future does make me have at least a little more fondness for him. Black Polnareff, Chaka, and Khan are all amusing characters to play as and all have some awesome theme music. Introducing the concept of Stands being able to exist independently of their Original user is pretty neat, as well as the idea of a Stand that can switch users like it does. 7/10 is still what I’d give it, but I think that it’s pretty telling that this is probably the “weakest” character in the Egypt arcs in terms of being a villain, and yet he’s still pretty cool.
Mariah: Completely unchanged. She still deserves an 8/10, because her episode is hilarious, her playable appearance in Heritage for the Future is a blast, and she’s just really frikkin’ hot. I’m not gonna lie, she’s probably my second favorite enemy Stand user out of the Egyptian ones. I may or may not want her to step on me.
Alessi: I’m going to be honest here: Alessi is my favorite of the Egyptian Stand users. He’s an ax crazy coward with pedophile undertones who is just an utterly demented and sick individual with a seriously intriguing Stand that de-ages its victims. It’s a damn shame he never crossed paths with Joseph and de-aged him, but when he’s just such a hilarious and hateable lunatic with an incredibly fun playable appearance in Heritage for the Future (complete with awesomely creepy theme music!) it’s hard for me to give Alessi anything less than a 9/10. Attaboy!
Daniel J. D’Arby: My opinion is honestly unchanged, but I think I’d bump him down to an 8/10.
Pet Shop: Again, unchanged really. It’s hard to give a character as busted as he is in Heritage for the Future anything less than a 9/10 any way you slice it.
Telence T. D’Arby: Opinion unchanged, 8/10. I don’t have much else to say here, besides Xander Mobus rocks.
Kenny G: See Arabia Fats above. I got irrationally mad over a dumb joke character. He’s not going above a 2/10, but he’s not worth really getting mad about.
Vanilla Ice: I still think he’s the only enemy Stand user besides Hol Horse who deserves his 10/10. My opinion of him remains unchanged, but I would like to say he’s easily one of my favorite characters to play as in All-Star Battle.
Nukesaku: Ok, he’s not an enemy Stand user, he’s just some weird vampire… zombie… thing. Still, I feel he’s at least worth briefly mentioning, if only because he’s probably the only easily-defeated joke villain Araki did from the first three parts who is particularly memorable. Wired Beck and Doobie are really not all that memorable, but Nukesaku at least elicits a few chuckles – he even gets cameos in Heritage for the Future as well as getting to be a stage hazard in All-Star Battle. For what he is, I think he deserves a 5/10.
And with all these enemies taken care of, that just leaves one more Stand user to talk about.. one whose Psycho Analysis has been sitting in my drafts for a year now...

I hope this isn't too weird of a message to send, but doesn't it seem like Jonawagon doujinshi are pretty uncommon? I've only seen maybe 3 posted online & I have a copy of a SpeedJona doujin but aside from those I haven't come across any. Is it like a rare pairing or something? I thought they were fairly popular
It isn’t weird at all, anon! All the opposite actually, cause I love getting asks even if i'm not always around or it sometimes takes me a hot minute to get to them gfjhkjh
This is gonna be long and probs gonna have bits that might sound rant-ish to some, but I hope that’s alright! :'D
For starters, sadly, jonawagon/jonaspeed/speedjona or however you call the ship is quite an underrated ship. This has to do partly with the wrong perceptions some folks have built around it and around the characters as well (that them both and the couple itself are the epitome of "purity" and "innocence", sometimes even labelling them as "boring" as a result even though both characters are far from that, that "it could only be a one-sided thing" on Spw's end despite both showing and sharing a certain bond/closeness towards each other -closeness that sometimes Jonathan didn't show towards anyone else-, etc), partly because of the many timeskips in PB and all the scenes the anime cut out and people wrongly assuming that the main events happened in the span of a few days and thus people dropping the ball on the ship/characters when Jonathan and Speedwagon actually knew each other for as long -sometimes even longer- than other more popular characters/ships in jjba did, partly because neither Jonathan or Speedwagon are as popular as other characters in the franchise as a whole, and also partly because, as sad as it is to say this, the ship lacks a LOT of support, especially from it's own fanbase. While jonawagon is a popular and well liked ship overall (in the sense that even general fans who don't care much about shipping, or those who are still on the fence about mlm ships, or those who just don't actively ship jonawagon actually like and support the ship or the idea of it upon seeing the actual dynamics between the characters and their potential and the fact that the ship can actually coexist with jonaeri without altering the characters/making them ooc, nor altering the story and so on), it still lacks a lot of support from it's fans. I often see most other ships/characters get lots of reblogs and exposure from their fans on literally any and all platforms, helping those ships/characters reach new audiences and gaining more popularity and drawing interest from potential new fans, while jonawagon stuff as well as solo Jonathan or Speedwagon stuff usually only get likes and a few reblogs at most from their fans, which is nice and all, but it doesn't give the artists/writers any exposure nor get those works or the ship any farther than that and just keeps them within part of the already existing fanbase at best, which often times makes the artists/content creators lose interest in continuing to create stuff for the ship/characters. This is also why I always strongly ask -almost beg at this point ngl- for people to support the artists/writers/etc via reblogs!! The ship having a bunch of different names also might have an impact on all of this, as it's not always as 'easy' to tag/find contents if you don't know how to tag/search for it. Jonawagon (normally used in the western parts of the fandom), JonaSpeed/SpeedJona (Western version of the ship's most popular names in Japanese: ジョナスピ/スピジョナ or JonaSupi/SupiJona respectively], SpeedStar (a name that became a bit more popular more recently after a mini jonawagon event in 2019), being the most common ones afaik, asides from the standard JonathanxSpeedwagon/SpeedwagonxJonathan ie and others. In short, Jonathan and Speedwagon as well as jonawagon are quite well liked and even popular to an extent, but they lack a massive amount of support from the fans, which also usually translates into artists and content creators for this ship losing interest in continuing to create new material for it and thus end up not making any more contents.
In regards to doujinshi more specifically, I’m a bit disconnected when it comes to Jojo doujinshi in general, but it seems to be a bit like that for most of the non "crazy popular" Jojo ships if you ask me, which is kinda normal considering the massive amount of characters in the whole series. Putting my experience as example, if it helps, I used to collect doujinshi from one of my previous fandoms, which had a shit ton of them for plenty of it’s ships and it was somewhat easy to acquire hard copies of despite it being an “old anime” basically while most Jojo doujinshi (especially anything that is not parts 3, 4 and 5) seems to be a bit hard to come across regardless of the ship(s) in them, even in auction sites or places like pixiv that sell digital copies if the author puts them up on sale, which is understandable since the aforementioned parts are some of the most popular parts in Japan, where most doujinshi is created, and thus take most of the fandom's interest -authors’ and readers’ alike-, as well as the hype for parts like Phantom Blood being long dead (with it being dead/dormant since the original airing of the anime ended in 2013, and it coming back ocassionally whenever there's a 'special' re-airing of PB in Japan or when events such as the Joestar Radio take place), so maybe my parameters on the whole subject are somewhat disproportionate?
This is also gonna sound all boomer-like, but I’ve also noticed, or it seems to me at least (still in comparison to the doujinshi from my previous fandom), that doujinshi books as we knew them aren’t /as/ common nowadays as they used to be a while back. Even the works themselves don’t seem to be much that way either. For example, doujinshi anthologies used to be a big thing a while back and, while they still exist, they don’t seem to be too common anymore (these worked as "promo books" of sorts for all the artists featured and they also helped lesser known/popular artists and ships to get some exposure to newer audiences). Nowadays such thing still exists, and I actually recall seeing a Jonaspeed/Speedjona anthology being made “recently” (recently as in 2019, if I’m not mistaken? it was published and sold during the mini Jonaspeed event they held at a Jojo con in Japan that year), but they aren’t nearly as common as they used to be, since now most artists can post any samples they want (much more reduced tho, cause you normally get a few pages instead of a full mini story) in places like Twitter or Pixiv. And it’s kinda the same with regular doujinshi. Before, most doujinkas had to publish a book in order to get their stuff out and get some exposure, so they were always working on new stories and making new books to sell and promoing their stuff, sometimes one after the other and even creating multi-volume stories in some cases. Now, thanks to how "easy" it is to get some exposure on social media, it’s much more common to see doujinkas for any ships/characters making short stories (1-4 pages, sometimes more) or just 1 page illustrations instead and posting them on their social media every now and then as a promo for their works. They also still make and sell their books (a few jonawagon artists on twitter do, at least), and these short stories/illustrations serve to boost their works instead, which is not a complain at all cause I think it's amazing tbqh! But this also translates into less stories/doujinshi being created as many of these artists often opt for leaving those stories that years ago would have been their own book or a mini story in a book as a prompt or a short story only.
As for actual jonawagon doujinshi, while it is not as common as say pt 3 doujinshi, there is quite a bunch of it. Some date from 2012-2013 (when the PB anime was originally aired), some are much older than that and some others are much more recent (as there are still some active jonawagon doujinkas around). There are also "fanfic books" that are also considered doujinshi and that seem to be a thing sometimes, but these contain little to no art at all and are usually written 100% in Japanese. The problem here is that not many of them have been scanlated/translated yet, sometimes because they aren't easy to find on sale online, sometimes because re-sellers who do have them set high prices for them plus shipping costs, sometimes because the artists/online shops won't sell stuff overseas, sometimes because those who do own doujinshi copies don't always know how to properly share them (since scanning a doujinshi in high or decent quality without destroying the book can be hard af) among other reasons.
All that said, there is a bunch of jonawagon doujinshi that has been scanned and is available online! but it can be tricky to get sometimes due to the different names this ship can go by and because of the "translations" of said names into different languages (as some doujinshi can only be found in Chinese sites, or Russian ones, and so on for example, so it can take some serious time to figure that out and have a successful search).
In all honesty, anon, I'm a dumdum and I had never thought about doing so in a more public manner until now, since I've already shared my entire jonawagon collection (pics, doujins, etc) with friends who have requested it more privately, but I can upload the doujins I have scans of if anyone's interested?? (I’d post the links where I found most of them but since my hd is pretty much dead and I can’t access Windows or my windows/mozilla profile, I’ve p much lost all my old bookmarks). They were only like... 8 last time I checked (9/10 if you count the Japanese and English versions of the "Joestarsaaaaan" one), but it's something :D Just be aware that some of them are nsfw! and that a couple are either part of a book that has stories from other ships in them (I only have the jonawagon parts tho) or contain other ships implied or openly shown in the jonawagon story.
I also have about 4 more, but the scanlator of one of them openly requested for the file to not be reuploaded, so Idk if it'd be alright to share it? (and they also deactivated their blog, so there's no way to ask them for permission). The other 3 are scans a friend sent to me of their own doujinshi copies, so I also don't know if it would be okay for me to post them?? (i haven't seen this friend in over a year so idk gfhgjkjlkñ). 2 of those 3 are nsfw.
#long post#super long actually oof#sorry about that#i tried to make this shorter#i swear#orz#anonymous

Hello! May I ask for a jjba matchup for part 4 and 5 please? I’m female, straight, german, INFJ, Aquarius. 1,59 m tall, long, blonde hair, pale skin, grey-blue eyes and wear glasse, I'm chubby. I dress comfortable, relaxed, but feminine. I wear a lot of purple, blue and rose in my closet(my fave colors) I’m reserved, introverted, really shy, anxious, low self-esteem. I don’t like crowds. I can be distant and very quiet. It’s not easy to get close to me. I’m very cautious around others.
I choose my friends carefully. Once I’m with friends I joke around a lot more. Chaotic neutral. I’m probably the weird one in my friend group, though I’m rather calm. I often daydream about many weird things and/or discuss it with my friends. They often ask me how I even come up with things like that, haha. I like to tease my friends and flirt with them playfully. I curse sometimes, but not much. I also sometimes say perverted things and nobody expects it, because I do look very innocent.
I tend to be sarcastic, ironic, kind of blunt, mixed with dark humor and kinda dirty minded. I never intend to offend or hurt anyone, but if I’m really annoyed or angry I will be brutaly honest with my opinion, which I normally prefer to keep to myself. I need time for myself to recharge. I hate to be late and hate to wait, am mostly organised. I like to watch (horror) movies, read books, listen to music (tøp, the NBHD) and game occasionally. I love cats. Thank you so much! Stay healthy!
𝕁𝕁𝔹𝔸 ℙ𝟜 𝕄𝕒𝕥𝕔𝕙𝕦𝕡: 𝕁𝕠𝕤𝕦𝕜𝕖
𝐻𝑜𝓌 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 𝓂𝑒𝓉: You unknowingly caught his attention, sitting there underneath a large maple tree. Several books laid scattered around your feet, and you were currently holding one up to your face. Telling his friends not to wait up for him, he walked over to you. He stood there for a few minutes, waiting for you to look over at him. However, you were too invested in your book to pay attention to your surroundings. It was only when he kneeled down beside you and tapped your shoulder that you tore your attention away from the book. “Do you wanna go catch a movie sometime?” He smiled sheepishly at you, and you accepted his offer. “Only if it’s a horror one,” you smiled shyly.
𝐹𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 𝒹𝒶𝓉𝑒: Your first date was a horror movie date. “Are you ready?” He stood in your doorway. “Almost!” You were finished getting ready in less than a minute before jogging past him. “I didn’t know (f/m) was out yet!” You read the ticket he handed you. “I didn’t either, but I thought you would like it,” He rubbed his neck, enjoying your excitement. During the movie, he inched closer here and there, thinking you weren’t paying attention. And his judgment was right, you were too invested in the movie, hooked on by every event. He admired the way your gray-blue eyes lit up with excitement as you watched the large screen.
𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒/𝒶𝒹𝓂𝒾𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝒷𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝓎𝑜𝓊: Your love for horror movies, video games. He also loves your sense of humor and honesty. He genuinely enjoyed it whenever you spent your time in class daydreaming. The look of wistfulness and tranquility made him fall more and more in love with you. After classes, he would ask you what you were daydreaming about just to hear you rambling.
𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓇𝑒𝓁𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓃𝑜𝓌: Your relationship now is one that you’ve only dreamed of. On the weekends, you two would have sleepovers and either game together or have a horror movie marathon. During the week, you two would have small dates. A small picnic under the maple tree, going to an arcade together, or he’ll take you to the library to watch your amazement at all the books. He wouldn’t force you to join his friend group, but if you show interest in them, he’ll tell you about them beforehand and introduce you one by one. When you need to recharge, he’ll happily come over and cuddle with you, or if you want time by yourself then he will drop off some of your favorite snacks, as well as some movies/books he thinks you’ll like.
𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒫𝟦 𝐹𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓃𝒹: You would be best friends with Yukako!
𝕁𝕁𝔹𝔸 ℙ𝟝 𝕄𝕒𝕥𝕔𝕙𝕦𝕡: 𝕄𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕒
𝐻𝑜𝓌 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 𝓂𝑒𝓉: You and Mista first met when you had to visit Bruno for a meeting between your gangs. Your boss formally introduced you to the other group, and you said a simple hello while paying more attention to the files you were skimming through. He was instantly by your side, trying to get your attention on him instead. “How long have you been in the mafia?” He would ask you several questions, and you gave him short answers. “We should get coffee sometime!” At that moment, coffee sounded nice since you were extremely tired, having been on patrol all night.
𝐹𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 𝒹𝒶𝓉𝑒: You took up Mista’s offer and the two of you went to a cafe together. “Yo!” He waved you over to the booth he was sitting at. “I got you something!” “You didn’t need to-” He slid a book that was wrapped with ribbon. “I asked Trish to wrap it for me, I’m not the best at it.” He laughed. Taking off the ribbon, you read the title. (F/b), it read. “How’d you get this?” You beamed at him. “I have my ways!” He crossed his arms and smiled back at you. You two spent the afternoon drinking coffee and talking about your interests. He nodded along, listening to your rambling, before rambling himself.
𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒/𝒶𝒹𝓂𝒾𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝒷𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝓎𝑜𝓊: Your love for books, your cautious nature, and your true self. He loves how you speak your mind, how ironic or perverted your jokes are, and your sarcasm.
𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓇𝑒𝓁𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓃𝑜𝓌: On your off days, you two were always gaming together, or he would lay on the couch, flipping through a magazine while you laid on his chest, reading your own book. After patrols, you two met up for a small coffee break, whether it was late at night or early in the morning. When both of you are free, you spent the evening watching movies together while cuddling. As for the afternoons, you two walked throughout town listening to music together and stopped occasionally in book stores!
𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒫𝟧 𝐹𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓃𝒹: You would be best friends with Fugo!

Why Steven Universe Future feels off (WARNING: BIG POST)
(This post was made when only the first 4 episodes were out)
Table of contents:
1. Intro and explanation
2. A new show
3. So much to do in such little time
4. The end of arcs
5. The plot?
6. Other little bits
7. Conclusion
1. Intro and explanation
So I want to make it clear before I dive into this right of the bat that I honestly truly love Steven Universe with all my heart. It is easily my favorite show of all time and has influenced and affected me in so many positive ways beyond just enjoyment of the show.
That being said I (and the person I was watching it with) felt that something just felt a little... off for Steven Universe Future. It just didn’t feel quite right, and didn’t grip me nearly as much as as the original show or the movie. Now maybe it’s because of my experience in both film and writing and my desire to understand what makes my favorite things tick, I couldn't just let it go and decided to really dig deep into what it is that makes it feel so different and I think I figured out some of the reasons as to why.
I haven't seen too many people talk about it on here and though that maybe it was just me. Most people on here seem to enjoy the show with no problems and if that's you then great! please don’t let me take that away from you, just ignore this post and move on if you don’t want to see me dig deep into it, I honestly hate being a fun killer/ buzz kill on these things but I asked a few days ago if I should make this post and a couple of people said they were interested so here we are.
And yes I know this post is excessive but I have a lot to say on the matter, also understand this is not a post bashing on the show or calling it “bad”, it’s just an insight into what makes the show tick and how it differs to the original show (and the movie)
With all that being said, let’s jump into the first major thing.
2. A new show
Ok, so this one kind of goes without saying, but yeah Steven Universe Future is a new show. It’s not season 6, it’s a new show and as a result I think it’s only natural for the creators to want to try and emphasize that fact by giving it a different feel.
They accomplish this with a lot of subtle things but I think that it’s likely done intentionally in order to differentiate itself from the original series. Now do I think it was a good idea to change the overall feel of the show in order to separate it form the original? ehhhh not exactly... It would make more sense if it really was a different show, but you literally can’t understand anything that happens in SUF without watching the original show in almost it’s entirety, so eh.
That being said you could argue they wanted to try a new feel just to mix it up after working on the original for so many years and I guess I can get that.
This is a fairly weak point overall, however I wanted to start with the lighter stuff before getting into the big bois.
3. So much to do in such little time
Again, this one may be kind of obvious for some but it honestly feels like that some of the episodes either really should have been longer or deserve to have a whole arc around them.
I’m talking especially about ‘Rose buds’ and ‘Volleyball’. Both of these episodes feature some pretty heavy themes and ideas that in the original show could easily be the focus of an entire 4 episode long arc each.
But here they have put everything into just the one episode, cramming it all in and constantly hitting us with big ideas and surprises. Not saying the episodes are paced badly, just that I think that these ideas really could have and perhaps even should have had way more time to be explored and expanded.
For example in ‘Rose buds’ there are so many moments that could easily be their own episodes if given the chance:
The ‘Zoomans’ learning to pilot the zoo
Greg and Steven reuniting with the Zoomans
Bringing the zoo to earth
The Zoomans reacting to earth
Freeing the Rose Quartzes
Greg reacting to the Quartzes
Pearl reacting to the Quartzes
Do you see what I mean? they could each be an episode in the original show, but here it’s all just one episode and as a result it feels like it goes by too fast, we don’t get as much time to react and take it all in, to absorb it all. Instead with it all being in one episode it weirdly devalues these moments as just an almost throw away one off episode.
It’s still a good episode, don’t get me wrong but I really do wish that the concepts within it were given more time to breathe.
4. The end of arcs
Ok, now we are getting into bigger stuff. So tell me, did Amethyst and Pearl seem a little different to you? Almost a little too... complacent? Like they didn’t quite react the way you would expect them to? Well that’s because of their character arcs.
In a story, character arcs are very important to making characters interesting and likable, It’s essentially the transformation from what the character was like at the beginning to what they become at the end. Typically through these arcs, characters confront their weaknesses and issues, they tackle their flaws and eventually overcome them.
Now the character arcs in Steven Universe are amazing and I love them, but they have one problem: they are done.
The things is, by the end of ‘Change your mind’ the main crystal gems and even Steven to an extent had been through so much and had confronted all of their biggest flaws and demons that they all just completed their arcs and ended the story as their best selves.
Then in the movie they do something super clever by reverting them all back to default and we get to see how far their arcs have taken them and how much they have changed, it’s simultaneously a brilliant way of addressing their arcs and tying into the theme of change and growing stronger, it’s honestly inspirational from a writing perspective for me.
But then we get to future... where they don’t get the novelty of being rest to zero here, instead they have continued on from where we left them as their perfect selves.
Now I’m happy for the characters, it’s really nice to see them all happy living their best lives, but having flaws as I said helps the characters be relatable and continually interesting, but they really don’t address them here, as... well they’re over it.
Again, in ‘Rose buds’ our old Pearl would have absolutely freaked out at the sight of the Roses, or probably be really mentally scared and messed up... but not here. Here she has gotten over Rose, and while she is still made uncomfortable by the Roses, she is nowhere near as messed up as she could have been once upon a time. It’s nice to see her change so much but it feels off to us now, that’s not how the Pearl we knew would react, and that’s why it feels weird.
5. The plot?
So this is the biggest bit that honestly bothers me the most because I’ve seen other media do the same things and it’s upsetting to see Steven Universe fall into it but, as of right now Steven Universe Future does not have a plot.
I know, I know, that’s a crazy statement to make but hear me out. A plot is an incredibly basic thing that helps bring everything together and to get audiences invested. A plot is essentially made by a goal, the goal does not need to be complicated, it just needs to be something that drives the story along.
In Star Wars, the plot is essentially for the heroes to stop the Empire, It’s pretty broad but it’s still a plot and a goal for the heroes.
In infinity train the main character wants to get off the train and get home.
In JJBA: Golden Wind, Giorno wants to become the boss of the mafia.
In Steven Universe (original series) Steven wants to learn about his gem powers and the crystal gems want to defeat and bubble all the corrupted gems.
And in Steven Universe Future, Steven uh he’s trying to uh... live.... life...?
See what I’m saying here? There is no goal, there is no plot, the story hasn't really started yet, we as an audience don’t have much to hold onto story wise to keep us invested.
“But what about Steven’s new pink powers?” I hear you say. While yes this will very likely tie into the main story at some point, as of right now it’s just a plot thread waiting to be picked up. The main thing is that none of the characters are really following that thread right now, it’s just a thing that’s kind of happening while other stuff is going on.
Imagine if instead of just going “huh cool a new power!” Steven actually went out of his way to pursue this now power and find out what it is, giving him a goal. Or hell even telling the crystal gems about it and giving them something to do, then you can say with confidence that:
‘Steven Universe Future is about Steven trying to find out about his new powers”
Simple as that, but unfortunately as of right now this is not the case.
Like the episodes wouldn’t even have to be all that different, it would just help to know that we had an overall goal in mind and the rest could carry on as usual, just like it has many times in the show.
I am 100% confident that it will become a plot point, but as of the first 4 episodes so far it hasn’t been properly established yet and as a result the episodes feel like they are missing something, it just feels like a slice of life story, but with really intense and interesting ideas, and ultimately, just feels off.
6. Other little bits
This next part is just a list of little random things that are ultimately inconsequential and don’t deserve their own points but might contribute into the overall ‘off’ feeling of the show.
The music does not quite feel to have that Steven Universe charm (Idk about this myself I’m not a music person as much as the person I watched it with who pointed it out.
No musical numbers yet (again a small thing but you think there would be one by now?)
Voice acting a bit off? (could just be me but that sound a little strange, as if they have a new voice director (maybe they do idk))
Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl (they haven't really all been in a scene together yet which feels weird as they always used to be together)
Some character models seem off (probably just me but sometimes characters like Pearl just seem weird in some shots idk)
Steven isn’t quite as jovial? (this is likely intentional for where is character is going, but it’s important to point out as it’s intentionally made to make the viewer feel off about him)
There is likely more that I might add later.
7. Conclusion
So these are the reasons I’ve found that Steven Universe Future might feel a little off from the rest of the show (and movie) It’s entirely possible that you won’t agree with me on anything here and that's fine, these were just my findings and an attempt to rationalize why I feel this way about the show.
Please believe me when I say I want nothing more than for this show to be just as good as the original show if not even better because I honestly love the SU franchise so much. That’s why I made this post, because I want it to be the best that it can be and these are the things that I feel might be holding it back.
Honestly so many of these things are easily addressable and very likely will be! Although my personal prediction is that the actual ‘plot’ won’t properly start until the end of episode 10 as the description for these episodes seem like they are going to be along the same lines as the first 4 eps.
Either way I will be happily watching as the new episodes come out as nothing can stop me from loving Steven Universe at this point, the show has already done so much for me and I will forever love it for that <3

Ok for the better blog asks- all of them. 😈
BRUH you got me there, you galaxy-brained lad
‘Which good Jojo character would you kill’
Coochie, currently Giorno, George Joestar cuz he was so fucking stupid, yandere!Yukako.
'Which Jojo character appeared in the most cursed jjba thing you saw?’
this is a long ass list, for example horse!Jotaro, Giorno, Coochie, Trish’s stand, Pet Shop, Polpo.... Everyone pretty much, just give me a name and I’ll remember lmao
'Cursed ship’
Giorno x Dio, any with children, any with animals, Polpo x Bruno, Coochie x Rohan, the 195cm trio. A have a lot more
'Guilty pleasure’
In jjba - long hair, makeup and good voice.
'Underrated ship’
Healthy Kira x Shinoby, Rohan x Jotaro, any good ones with Polnareff.
'Ship you hate’
Incest ones, with children. I am more annoyed with some than straight hating
'The most guilty thing that got you horny?’
Bruh, don’t hate me but that one Dio x Kak audio lmaooo. Well, their voice actors, they just have really nice voices and together it was a mess.
Diavolo’s voice actor works, enough said
'Something that annoys you in jjba’
Too many things, but i’ll write someof them....
¬ Big random asspulls (part 3 and 5(?))
With part 2 it works way better, since we established that Jojo had a stone and he was a sneaky bastard, so it’s more of ‘typical Joseph’ thing.
¬ Too much femalization(?) and making someone appear smaller(almost child like). For example with Jotaro and Kak ship, is some works Kak is depicted as a tiny ass compared to Jotaro, even tho in the anime/manga they do not have SUCH a big difference. Especially in older workswhen they make Kak look so fucking young and teenage-like that it gives me creeps. While I don’t mind it too much, some works annoy the fuck out of me. It feels like Jotaro is with a fem!Kak instead of Kakyoin, even if the tags say m/m ya know. Let them be buff.
¬ Not giving time to other characters, instead letting the Jojo do all the stuff - part 3 and 5, again. My sole reason for not liking Gio too much is because of such reason. Mista gets his ass handled and Gio saves the day, Fugo gets 5 mins of standing and waiting for Gio. Gio is the only one with a brain in some situations, so it’s annoying.
For example, part 4 did it way better. Rohan has screentime and he is also present in the whole ordeal, Coochie helps with his stand, Oku also plays major role, Jotaro is a key figure, even Joseph is needed. Even the foot stand dude does more
Everyone feels important to the story and fights and they do not need Jojo to magically save them.
¬ Preventable deaths
(spoilers)
(Part 2)Caesar could be easily saved, if Jojo haven't walked forever towards the place when his friend was in danger, which is bullshit.
(Part 5) Goth boy, I got angry at it so much, since the character know the deal about his stand, yet they decided to leave him alone for the sake of donut time.
(Part 5) If I remember correctly, then I’d say Nara one also, for the same reason.

and for the More Fandom Askes: JoJo for fandom, Sasunaru for ship, aaaaaaaand Jotaro for character!
oh ho ho I’m very excited to answer these :3c I’m gonna put them under the cut though since this will be... long! I hope I do the cut right also cuz I don’t know how to use tumblr and it shows
JJBA
Favorite character: Jotaro! I like him a whole lot......
Least Favorite character: Not really sure I have one ngl? There’s nobody I can’t stand seeing or anything
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Jotaro/Kakyoin, Fugo/Giorno, Jotaro/Weather Report, Jolyne/Hermes, Dio/Pucci
Character I find most attractive: Aggh a lot of them are. So pretty. but probably Jolyne because I’m endlessly predictable
Character I would marry: JOLYNE... I wish she was real I’d marry her in a heartbeat
Character I would be best friends with: Hmm, probably Josuke! He’s very friendly and I’d like to be his friend
A random thought: I can’t wait for the new jjl chapter.....soon.......
An unpopular opinion: Joshu isn’t that bad, you’re supposed to not like him. He’s comic relief and basically nothing more, and people should spend more time laughing about his antics instead of shitting on him cuz It Gets Old
My Canon OTP: Koichi and Yukako... is Good
My Non-canon OTP: Jotakak.............
Most Badass Character: Definitely Jotaro but there are some very honorable runner-ups
Most Epic Villain: Dio is way too iconic not to mention, but Kira and Pucci come damn close
Pairing I am not a fan of: I’m not super big on Fugo/Narancia! It’s valid and I have nothing against the ship or shippers but it’s just not for me ig!
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I think Avdol could have been much cooler if Araki decided to give him a backstory and more screentime!
Favourite Friendship: Kakyoin and Polnareff..... I love that Kak just throws all his brain cells out the window when he talks to Polnareff. They’re so funny
Character I most identify with: Jotaro but I’m not sure how much of that is me projecting onto him. Also Kakyoin and Fugo
Character I wish I could be: Johnny probably? I like his personality and his drive. Wish I could be half as motivated as that man
---
Sasunaru
When I started shipping them: Oh man, I can’t really say for sure, since I highkey hated Sasuke at first... probably after Sasuke left the village cuz that’s when Naruto started acting real gay
My thoughts: They Hit Different Bro... they’re one of Those Ships. I love it a lot man they make my heart ache... they’re basically soulmates like bro what else can I say
What makes me happy about them: Their personalities match so well... the fact that they do end up back as friends by the end of Shippuden is very nice
What makes me sad about them: the Angst... Sasuke leaving the village really drove a wedge into their friendship and Naruto’s constant longing for him to come back and determination to be the one to kill him after he finds out that Konoha put out orders to kill him is. Very Sad.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I’m not a big fanfic person so I can’t really say? I haven’t read any bad sns fics so far
Things I look for in fanfic: Again I’m not super big on fanfic buuuut I’ve yet to see a fic where Sasuke is gay/ace and since that’s a big hc of mine. I Would Like To See It.
My wishlist: ??? Not really sure what this means and Naruto is long over by now so, nothing really?
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I would have preferred it if Naruto and Sakura ended up together tbh. Sasuke doesn’t really give me the vibes of marrying At All if it wasn’t Naruto, so him not ending up with anyone would have been just fine by me
My happily ever after for them: Literally just them Being Together is good enough for me bro. Canon sns would have been excellent
---
Jotaro
How I feel about this character: Big Love. probably one of my favorite characters of all time ok he means An Lot to me at the moment
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: (in order from super duper like to kinda vibe with,) Kakyoin, Weather Report, Polnareff (post p3), Rohan, Anasui
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: His friendship with Koichi is really valid... he really walked into Morioh and adopted that polite boy almost instantly
My unpopular opinion about this character: Not sure how unpopular this is but I think that nerfing him for parts 4 and 6 was not only necessary but completely realistic and justified. He was past his prime and canonically had never used the time stop since his fight with Dio!! And in part 6 it’d been Even Longer and he’s also 40 now so you can’t blame him for being Bad At It... leaf him alone
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I WISH. I wish there was at least one small arc in p4 where Jolyne was in Morioh. It’s probably super inconvenient to the plot but like. Dadtaro with tiny Jolyne please... Josuke could even babysit her.... it’d be so cute why didn’t this happen :pensive:
Favorite friendship for this character: Probably Kakyoin! Yes I also ship them romantically but like. Shipping aside, Kakyoin’s the crusader that Jotaro gets along the best with... they are Epic
My crossover ship: I’m so glad you put Jotaro on here because I can legally say Jotavlis (Jotaro/Ivlis from The Gray Garden). it started out as a joke but quickly became not a joke. Stan Jotavlis

oh yeah jojo, uhhh foo fighters for the character ask too
Give me a character and I will answer:
Why I like them: I was trying to do a first-come-first-served order with these, but I’m gonna skip ahead to FF, because I feel like I need some positivity after roasting Hit earlier.
I don’t want to get too spoilery with this, since Part 6 hasn’t gotten an anime adaptation yet, and a lot of folks haven’t read it, but Stone Ocean is one of my favorite parts, and Foo Fighters is one of the highlights in it.
When I went through Parts 1-7 (and most of 8) in 2017, I got really burned out on Stands somewhere around Parts 4 and 5. I sort of hoped that Araki would introduce some new big concept every few parts, the way he switched from Hamon to Stands in Part 3. Instead it was sort of like “Hi, welcome to Part 5, we’re still doing Stands, so good luck learning all their names and powers.”
Since then, I’ve come to appreciate why Araki stuck to his guns. The whole point of Stands is that they can be used to do just about any kind of story you want to do. If Araki wants to do a zombie story, he doesn’t have to scrap everything and invent a zombie scenario; he can just introduce a Stand User with zombie powers. Parts 7 and 8 introduce new concepts and powers, but the Stands are still there, because the idea is versatile enough that it can take a back seat when needed.
Anyway, FF is a good example of what I’m talking about. At first, Mista felt like a warmed-over Polnareff, and La Squadra seems like they’d fit right into Dio’s gang, but Foo Fighters didn’t seem much at all like anybody I’d seen in JJBA before or since, and that’s one of the reasons I like Part 6 so much. It’s a prison story, but for her it’s this whole new world to explore, and I like that fresh perspective she brings to things.
Why I don’t: Nothing to see here.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): That fight with the Feng Shui guy was pretty cool.
Favorite season/movie: Part 6 was the only part she was in, so that, I guess.
Favorite line: “Fred Hoyle, an astronomer, once said 'It is wrong to assume, even statistically speaking, that organisms spontaneously appeared on this Earth... There is a preexisting intellect of the cosmos that designed the origins of lifeforms...'... so, it can be said that intellect preceded even the big bang and that every organism and matter itself is guided by that intellect, and is part of that larger intelligence.”
I don’t know why she said all of that, since she was trying to handwave her own existence, but whatever. I sort of want that to become a meme, like the opening monologue of the Bee Movie.
Favorite outfit: There’s only one, as far as I’m concerned. Sometimes I try to come up with my own sort of JoJo outfit, something inspired by high fashion, but I really have no clue how any of that works. And I probably never will, since Araki clearly based FF’s signature look on Mr. Green Jeans from Captain Kangaroo.
OTP: None.
Brotp: Jolyne.
Head Canon: There’s a minor dispute in the fandom over whether that green thing on her head is a really chic haircut or a ridiculous hat. I personally think it’s hair, although I can see the hat argument has some solid points.
But let’s say it is a hat. What’s her hair look like underneath, then? Is she bald? Yeah, maybe, I could see her pulling that look off. Just this layer of green stubble, that’d look cute. If she has any hair at all under that thing, it can’t be very long, since you never see it poke out from underneath.
So maybe if she took the hat off, you’d see the exact same hairstyle that all the fanartists make the hat look like. And that way we’re all right.
Unpopular opinion: Everyone from Part 6 should have just crashed Part 7. Imagine Foo Fighters strutting around in lime green chaps, drinking water out of spitoons.
A wish: I don’t see a lot of glamour fan art of FF. There seems to be three main approaches to depicting the character: Cute, goofy, and chubby. It all works, that’s what makes the character so appealing. One minute she’s gulping down a big cup of water, the next she looks badass.
But, I see a lot of fan art of Hermes where she looks like she’s at some red carpet event, and Foo could pull off that sort of look. I say this mostly because she has this ultra mod hairstyle/hat. You look at all the Hot Pants fanart of her in modern clothes, and Foo Fighters could rock that just as easy.
Of course, that sort of thing is probably out there somewhere, and I just haven’t found it.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: It already did, though : (
5 words to best describe them: She is the best Pokemon.
My nickname for them: Foo, I guess.

jotaro? also hmm bastila if you want!!
JOTARO KUJO
how I feel about this character:I LOVE HIM!!!! MY BOY!!! i just love how much he constantly tries to do the right thing and to protect those he loves even when it causes problems for him and his relationship. and like sure he makes some Mistakes (his relationship with jolyne in particular) but he fucking Tries so damn hard!! he just wants to keep his loved ones safe!! seriously though, jotaro is easily one of my favourite characters in jjba!
all the people I ship romantically with this character:kakyoin, his wife and @vaguelyillegal‘s oc, armani! i think him and kak just Work very well together. whilst i wish we actually know what his wife was like since araki kinda basically made her a non-character, i figure that there must be a Reason that they got married and had jolyne. i have an idea in my mind about what she’s like so a lot of my feelings on the matter of their relationship is built from that but still! and then armani and jotaro also just go really well together. and also i love armani and want them both to be happy and together!
my non-romantic OTP for this character:polnareff! i love their friendship so much!! like they’re total opposites in personality and yet they actually get along really well! just. i love both of these boys and they’re friendship a lot. i don’t even really have words for it.also just gonna throw mention of ira in there bc i find her friendship with jotaro very important too.
my unpopular opinion about this character:idk if this counts as an unpopular opinion bc tbf a lot of people share my opinion on this?? but i see a lot of people say that jotaro is boring and doesn’t care about anything/anyone and i couldn’t disagree more!! i think he’s probably one of the most (if not The most) complex characters in jjba! he has a lot of feelings that he’s bad at dealing with and hides behind his stoicism, he tries so hard and has done everything he can to keep his family safe as soon as found about stands when he was only 17, he has pretty clear ptsd symptoms (his fight with kira in part 4 comes to mind) and he just so very clearly cares about his friends and family So Much!! i never get why some people think he’s a flat character just bc of his stoicism when he’s clearly a lot more behind that!
one thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:okay so it IS something that happens in canon but we don’t get to see it; give me jotaro and polnareff’s adventures in europe in the 90s!! we know it happened!! part 5 told us that!!! i wanna see it!!! also i wish we got to see a conversation between jotaro and jolyne in which they just Talk about the state of things regarding their strained relationship and jotaro’s Absence and stuff bc they didn’t get the chance for it in part 6??? and it’s something that they both probably need now that jolyne knows Why he was so distant
BASTILA SHAN
how I feel about this character:whilst she’s not my favourite character, i still really love her! i also feel really bad for her in terms of what the jedi threw her into. she’s like 19 or 20??? barely and adult and the jedi just kinda throw her out into a high position within the military during the jedi civil war bc of her battle meditation which ends up with her fighting darth fucking revan. and then bc of the bond that comes of that, she’s made to try and keep them from falling to the dark side again whilst ALSO going out to find the star maps which are Very Important to ending the war and it’s like....SHE’S BARELY AN ADULT. she doesn’t need all these Responsibilities and the council just dump All of these Responsibilities on her in very quick succession and just...give her a fucking break Please!
all the people I ship romantically with this character:uuuhhh i don’t really ship her with anyone tbh.
my non-romantic OTP for this character:revan! obviously i’m mainly thinking dana here but i like the idea of the two of them developing a sibling kinda relationship! they’re both Exasperated with each others bullshit but they really care about the other’s safety and they try to be each other’s reason to stay away from the dark side. and then after kotor 1 they can bond over how full of shit the jedi council are.
my unpopular opinion about this character:i don’t think i really have one??
one thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:i mean kotor is a game series where i ignore canon bc drew karpyshyn completely fucked it entirely with the existence of the revan novel. and bastila is a character who particularly suffered bc of it since she was reduced to Pregnant Wife Who Must Stay At Home and barely anything else. so all that should’ve Not Happened. the main thing is i wish we got to see her develop a critical perspective of the jedi whilst still being on the side of good. like it’d make sense for her to not return to the council after kotor 1 bc she probably will have a much more critical perspective of them, their treatment of her and revan (and also probably others like juhani). i just want more force-users to Not be jedi and in fact be very disillusioned with them an their bullshit and bastila is a character that could very easily be that!
send me a character and i’ll break them down!! (askbox)

tag game: all about me and fanfic
tagged by @aelaer, thank you!! :D ramblings about fic under the cut~ most of my answers relate to marvel/doctor strange in particular since that’s what I’m reading a lot of/writing for currently.
1. At what age did you start writing fanfiction?
something like 13/14. I started writing a rewrite of pokemon BW and put it up on fanfiction.net :^) absolute garbage and I never finished it but I still have fond memories of that fic.
2. Who is your favourite author?
Loaded question for sure cause I can only say: A LOT
For marvel, some faves in no particular order: amethyst-noir, 28ghosts, Aelaer, Grandeur-Raconteur, flyingonfeatherlesswings
For JJBA, tarotaro is a big fave and The Magician’s Chariot is an amazing fic
(Probably forgetting some, but. A lot of my old favourites are from my kurobas/aokaga days as well, which was before I started using bookmarks a lot, unfortunately)
3. Favourite type of scene to write?
Honestly I quite enjoy writing action. Also angst & heavy emotional stuff, but that’s a lot trickier.
4. What is your favourite fanfic?
Ahhhh again I would say I’ve had many, many favourites over the years/fandoms!!! Especially recently for marvel. But if I had to pick just one from the past few months it would be Spark and Fade by old_blue, just....... this fuckin’ fic, man. Even a few months after reading it I’m still reeling, such an amazing take on Stephen and magic in the mcu universe. If you like strordo and somehow haven’t already read it I can’t recommend it enough
5. What tags do you avoid like the plague?
a/b/o usually, mpreg, major character death (sometimes, I usually don’t like purely sad endings though there have been exceptions), and for marvel, anti-team Cap/Steve bullshit.
For doctor strange/ironstrange in particular I’m not super keen on no powers AUs or pre IM1/pre DS relationships, but that’s more of a personal preference than anything I hate.
6. What AU do you wish to write but feel like you won’t manage?
All of them!!!!!1! no but for real I always have a ton of AU ideas that never come to pass haha, maybe one day I’ll attempt to write a big multichapter thing but I have a really short attention span when it comes to fic, and I run out of inspiration or whatever so quickly. And I’d want to have a multichap fully written before posting or it’d just get abandoned no doubt.
but maybe......... maybe. I’m genuinely thinking about writing a fic for the HP au or maybe making something of my pirate AU so hmmmmm we’ll see
7. Do you outline, or write as you go?
no outlines we die like men -- but the answer is nah, most of my finished fics haven’t really been long enough to warrant it. I usually have a pretty clear idea of what I want to happen in my head when writing.
8. What has been your favourite story to write so far? Why?
HMMM I think probably most enjoyable to write was of coffee. But favourite to get out there would be either even in death, since that was the first piece of writing for marvel I actually finished and posted, or each night. That one was a struggle to finish but I’m really glad I did.
9. Do you prefer to write one-shots or multi-chapters? Why?
One shots easily. Have I mentioned I’m bad at actually finishing things yet?
10. What is your favourite kind of comment?
All of them of course!!!!!!!! But I really love when someone mentions specific parts, or even specific lines they liked. It’s so interesting to hear what in particular resonated with people, especially if it’s something different to my favourite parts.
11. Why did you start writing fanfiction? Why are you still writing?
Honestly not even sure. I think a combination of reading a lot of fic and wanting to Do It Too, and just having ideas that I want to put out there.
I think my stance towards fic is a lot more casual than art haha, I don’t particularly care about being objectively good at writing, I just want to write the way I enjoy and write things I want to read.
#i was gonna do this last night but it got to 2am and i was like....... maybe not#ANYWAY i won't tag anyone in particular#but yeah#text#tag game#My fic
