For those specific examples sure that’s probably fair. I’ll look harder to find examples from specifically Cheyenne artists if I draw her in casual gear again

What references did you use for Dani’s accessories?

For that latest Dani piece her earrings were directly inspired by the work of Joe Big Mountain/Ironhorse quillwork:

The necklace is specifically supposed to be dentalium shell, I was going for something like this:

And this webpage I found previously although this is actually talking about porcupine quills, but the concept is similar I imagine

The belt is based on her canon outfit obviously but tried to make it a little more realistic/something closer to this style of concho belt with the metal:

…Also the beading on the hat was definitely inspired by something I saw on Instagram but don’t think I saved that post

This is kinda just the accumulation of the small amount of looking on insta/Pinterest for inspiration and then trying to reference back I’ve done… still very much learning about Native American fashion and crafts so if there’s anything you think I could be doing better please lemme know!!!

Yeah, tbf this is something I wondered about when I was looking at references but in the end I decided to do as canon does, where she doesn’t wear a shoe on that leg. Maybe I shouldn’t have given the foot toes in that case but I thought it looked kinda plain without so that one’s on me
