New manga among my fav mangas ever unlocked.. they are the sillies ever

unpopular opinion — but i think everybody should read the manga of their favorite anime at least once
#i know manga reading isn’t for everybody#but it’s nothing better than seeing the mangaka art style in the manga tbh#like i think reading the manga made me enjoy bleach even more tbh#just like with nana also!#reading the manga made me fall in love with the series#also tokyo ghoul too!#granted i don’t trash the anime adaption as much as other#the art in Tokyo ghoul manga is fucking phenomenal

Finished a sketch from my WIPs pile!
I like the idea of the protagonists from each project meeting each other, and I think maybe Kori and Spark would secretly admire each other a lot.
As a bonus, I put them both in their 2024 anniversary outfits (14th anni for Spark and 11th anni for Kori)!

Your letter is a perfect healing summer read. It's one of my favourite manwhas.
Kakukaku shikajika is personally one of the best mangas I've read. It is an autobiography of akiko higashimura. (Mangaka of Princess jellyfish)
#your letter plot wise is a very comforting story. scavenger hunt magical garden secrets bases inside school#friendships that help you to find comfort in your life and so on#kakukaku shikajika on the other hand is an inspirational story. bittersweet even.#mangaka writes about her life in detail. the life that is full of dreams struggles and regrets.#the life where she meets an art teacher who becomes a prominent figure to help her realise her dreams#even though they had distinct value of their own completely different from each other.#manga

Oh my god, the news about Akira Toriyama. I'm stunned, but the grief is seeping in between the cracks and I'm not prepared. He is and was invincible and immortal to me.
#i just had a speedrun through my childhood reading the news#thinking about family and friends some of whom i haven't seen in a long time#thinking about dragon ball and dbz and dr. slump and just#this was my childhood#sure there were other series and other mangaka but dbz and toriyama-sensei were IT for me#days on the playground playing like we were in that world#that we had saiyan powers#a friend printing out art for me which...you don't even know!#we were so young and that was back in the DAY. idek how he even was allowed#little dude just printing out sheets of bright saturated colored art#and gifting them to me at school#the fact that this was the universal language and point of connection for poc kids#god.......and to hear why he died...this is awful. he's gone too early

Book Divider (3/3) - Poison World
#oKAY SO. in the original cover she is facing fully away. that was the intention. the vision if you will.
