walker being so much taller than leah allows for the perfect opportunity for annabeth to be completely baffled at how much percy grew over the last year. imagine annabeth punching that bully in the jaw bc he messed with her friend. only to turn around and be face-to-face with percy's chest. and he's oblivious to her confusion bc he's smitten and happy to see his smart, and pretty, and kind, and strong, and badass best friend. and annabeth is just fuming.

Finished my Hetty painting! Unfortunately this turned out to be a *huge* pain to photograph (damn acrylic and its shininess 😒) so I had to choose the best of many bad options but I did like how the backdrop in the top one brought out the red tones (I included the bottom one because the angle's slightly better).

Painted in acrylics and chalk paint for the background/outside border. Definitely want to do more fanart!

It's so creepy (but also horny...) to think that Remmick was planning to turn Sammie while being surrounded by his vampire hivemind minions. Eyes glowing red, all chanting and drooling at the premise. He turned people before with no ceremonies or celebration , just doing it for survival's sake but that scene with Sammie... Maybe it's for dramatic flavor but it's also clear that Remmick is savoring the moment so bad... uwwoooghfoghofogohffl

The way everyone just seems fine with what happened to Antonia is really gonna send me. Was there any reason for it? Did we learn anything else about her character? Did they mention Lerato? Was any grace given to the most victimized of the group?

Or did marvel just take the easiest opportunity to bow down to assholes on the internet (for the first but certainly not the only time in the movie 🙃)

my addition for disability pride month

Parents: please teach your children about disability. Teach them that all bodies are different. Teach them that not everyone is like them and that’s okay, diversity makes life exciting!

Almost every time I take my wheelchair out, these kids are just staring at me like I’m glowing fluorescent green. It’s like they’ve never seen someone in a wheelchair before. When I tic, kids look at me shocked and a little freaked out.

And yes, I know they’re kids! I understand that they don’t know everything yet. But guess what? That’s your job as their parent. Not mine. Not any disabled person’s.

show your children pictures of people in wheelchairs, videos by and of autistic adults stimming, videos by people with facial differences, of people with limb differences, people with Down syndrome, people with dwarfism, people that use nasal cannulas, and so on.

Kids are not inherently going to be afraid of or rude to disabled people, not if you as the parent educate them from a young age. Teach them to be kind, not to stare, not to pet service animals.

We aren’t rare; your kid will come across us. We’re not “inspiring” OR “scary.” We’re people. That’s it. Educate them first so these are positive experiences! 💜

The canonical evidence for 'does Bond actually have money?' is sooooo inconsistent. Post-Skyfall, I've always worked under the assumption he does.

But there was that scene in Casino Royale where Vesper did her little cold reading and guessed that Bond was a scholarship kid who had a fancy education but effectively was a charity case who was contemptuous of rich people, and it's implied by Bond's reaction that she was right.

And then that scene where Bond basically told Vesper 'lol let's run away together!! until we run out of money and somebody has to get a job to support us. which will be you. because i don't know how. 😍'

So, IDK. I like old-money Bond, but I also like a Bond who has no actual money of his own and just lives large at the taxpayer expense.

And needless to say, I like a Bond who's just flouncing around HQ like 'i don't really understand how money works! or how to pay bills or take care of myself! but i like pretty things!!! 🥰'...until Q decides he has to take pity on him, and agrees to let Bond fulfill his ultimate destiny of Useless Trophy Husband, with all his needs provided for by Q and his tech-patent money.

it will never not be funny to me how delighted gale is at the prospect of breaking into another wizard's tower and snooping around.

although i do also wish there'd been more to this than the small window into gale's past the protag gets when gale recounts a story from his first year as a blackstaff apprentice.

there should be so many things that hit too close to home for gale. not just the outward, with lenore's love for literature and poetry, the magic still scattered around, but also the vast sadness and loneliness clinging to this place. the loneliness that made lenore give bernard the ability to hug. all those things that he himself faced and speaks of briefly during the tiefling party, as well as the boat scene in act 3.

i'm happy we got at least something - and that it was a memory that made gale laugh - but there was potential here too, to speak of loss and grief and isolation.

i think the loss scene that was sadly cut in the full release version of the game - either as it is or slightly edited - could have worked very well here.
