dont get me wrong, i like the ford² ship as much as anyone else, but if im being honest, i think that fiddleford and stan would be a much healthier relationship- fiddleford needs someone that is not so dedicated to his work or *cough* a ‘muse’(muse being a demonic triangle)- someone who is more financially stable and has a stable home, job, and life, someone LIKE STAN!!!! and i think ford just deserves a break from relationships . i fully support an aro ford. man tried having a relationship and fucked up majorly with bill . now he deserves to live the rest of his life in peace with his family !! platonic relationships only !!!

actually I’m obsessed with gravity falls malevolent crossover. like for a variety of reasons but I think it’s extremely funny that both ford and arthur (both very aromantic to me) manage to garner so much homoerotic tension from both normal repressed men (fiddleford, oscar) and also from The Creature (bill, kayne… the list goes on for artie)
#like ford and arthur NEED to talk to each other omg#also I love the yellow god swap bill would make archie SO MUCH WORSE#ford is in a tense (non romantic) love triangle situationship and arthur is on the evil bachelor#and they’re both aro!#side note I saw someone posit that ted and tinky also fit into the yellow god + some guy category and they are So Right#but yeah I need a million mv gf crossovers on my desk by the end of the day#gravity falls#malevolent#also I need more ford whump. especially paranoid era please please PLEASE#ooooh write it yourself I’M TRYING T.T

Fiddlestan is really cute, but I really don't agree with the take that floats around that it's cute because Ford doesn't deserve Fiddleford because of selfishness or whatever, which makes Fiddlestan "healthier" over Fiddauthor. Personally, I think Ford is just aro and/or simply not interested in Fiddleford like that, because of Bill. It's not Fords fault that he's in an abusive relationship while Fiddleford also likes him. But even without that, it's just a weird take.
Fiddlestan is cute on it's own and not because Stan somehow is a better option than Ford. Fiddauthor and Fiddlestan are equally adorable if done right.

Weird question, but do you think ford is/was repressed or in denial? Filbrick doesn't seem like a very understanding parent, and I notice throughout all the lavish praise Ford heaps on Bill he stops short of outright saying he has a crush, which I think hints at ford being unaware that he has feelings for Bill because You Only Get That for the Opposite Gender (and assumes a god like bill is way above his league). The "girls will talk to me" quote in particular seems very much like someone trying and failing to fit himself into heteronormative standards and just chalking it up to social awkwardness, and the way he clings to Bill reminds me very much of a first gay relationship, where the fear of being rejected is magnified tenfold by thinking that literally no one else in the world will love you. Sorry, this became a whole essay, I just have so many thoughts about billford and have spent hours combing through gf Tumblr analayzing their relationship.
You're asking me about what I actually think is true so that's the perspective from which I'm starting here.
First, let me say that I think headcanons are like dartboards. There are some "canonest" headcanons—even if they're not confirmed true, they feel like they're at the bullseye at the very center of canon-compatible possibilities, the thing most likely to be true if canon were ever to directly explore it.
And then there are the "this isn't what I think they'd actually do if canon were ever to go there, but based on what we currently know this headcanon is still canon-compatible." These are the headcanons that are on the dartboard but on an outer ring, not a bullseye.
I think the "bullseye" interpretation of Ford's sexuality is that he's aromantic. Possibly ace as well, but this isn't as firm—Ford does talk like he finds the idea of a committed romantic relationship bizarre, but he doesn't talk like he doesn't understand the idea of being attracted to someone, making me think maybe he does feel sexual desire.
And if that's what Ford is, then he didn't say he had a crush on Bill because he didn't. He was obsessed with Bill, he considered Bill the most important person in his life, he respected him and admired him and liked him more than anybody else, he'd rather spend time with him than with anyone else... but, it's a platonic obsession. It's not in any way weaker for being platonic instead of romantic, but it's platonic. Queerplatonic relationship type territory.
He talks about girls talking to him someday because, for lack of any better evidence, he assumes he must be heterosexual because he has no positive proof otherwise, so he figures he probably just hasn't met the right girl, right? And he hasn't met the right girl because he's so unpopular no girls want to talk to him. Once he meets the Right Girl, he assumes he'll Get It then—because that's what a lotta aros (and aces!) think for the longest time before it dawns on them that that's never coming. (It's possible he even has been sexually attracted to women, further obscuring his aromanticism from himself. He did date a siren at one point. But tbh I don't think it's highly likely.)
That's my "bullseye" "canonest" interpretation of Ford's sexuality.
Now, my personal "on the outer ring of the dartboard" headcanon is that Ford's sexuality is, in extremely professional terminology, demiromantic monsterfucker.
He has felt sexual attraction, he is not in denial or repressing his sexual attraction in any way, he's accepted this about himself; however, everything he's been attracted to is, like... Mothra. or Cthulhu. or a weird singing fish-bird, i.e. that siren.
80% of the time he's had sex it's not even motivated by sexual desire but by other platonic motives. If the Hide-Behind ever hit on him, he would eagerly accept just to find out and document what Hide-Behind mating behaviors are like without ever once stopping to think "but am I attracted though?" Like he'll have a fine time, he isn't repulsed, but he's not doing it out of desire.
He does have the potential to fall in love—he has the potential to fall in love with Bill—but again, I headcanon he didn't say he had a crush on Bill because he didn't. It was slowly building over the course of several years. He was like 97% of the way there...
... when Bill revealed his evil plan and started torturing Ford.
So it never quite tipped over.
Thirty years later, Ford's got enough self-insight to realize that even though he wasn't "in love" with Bill, he was 1) very close, and 2) feeling something platonically strong enough that ultimately, that slight difference doesn't really matter.
I can also see him as just not feeling, understanding, or caring about the dividing line between romantic and platonic.
In either version of my headcanons, I don't think Ford was "repressed"/"in denial" about having "gay" feelings. He's got enough issues, I'm not interested in tossing internalized homophobia on top of it—especially when from college onward he's all about celebrating outsiders and weirdness. At most he'd be a case of queer ignorance where he hasn't explored himself enough to figure out what he is.
Tbh I don't think he's any more likely to be attracted to human men than he would be to human women—and if he did fully fall in love with Bill, I don't think Bill, O Wondrous Interdimensional Muse Whose Body Is A Frigging Triangle, would ping Ford as "male" enough for Ford to feel like his own attraction is "gay."

A/N: I once saw a post talking about how Mabel could be aromantic because she seems really in love with the idea of being in love and picks a lot of random people to have crushes on, and as an aro person that felt SCARILY familiar lol so here you go.
Ford is aro gay <3
“Ugh.” Mabel draped herself over the arm of the couch like a piece of laundry, stomach down, long hair flopping. “I can’t believe I’m 15 and still single! I’m never gonna get a long-term boyfriend!”
Ford, who had been preparing himself tea in the kitchen nearby, poked his head into the room, as though to ascertain whether his great niece was talking to him. They were the only two in the shack right now, aside from Waddles, so it was a 50-50 chance.
Well, maybe 25-75. In Waddles’s favor.
“Grunkle Ford,” she lifted herself a little and drew back the curtain of her hair so that her eyes peeked through, “when did you first get serious with someone?”
Despite being addressed directly, Ford still glanced over his shoulder to make sure there wasn’t anyone behind him, perhaps some alternate-dimension Stanford Pines who was better equipped to answer such a question. “Serious?” He tugged at the collar of his sweater as obscenely equilateral imagery flashed across the backs of his eyelids. “W-Well, I suppose it depends on what you define as serious.”
“I dunno, I guess it’s serious when you both agree it’s serious?” She frowned at the ceiling helplessly before slumping back over the arm of the couch. Her voice came out muffled. “I wouldn’t know. It’s not like I’ve ever been in a serious relationship.”
Tea in hand, Ford stepped more fully into the room, looking about as comfortable as he’d been at his first college party (he’d been dragged there against his will, obviously). Come on, Ford. A few sage words from her great uncle. That’s all she’s asking for. A few times, he opened his mouth to say something and then snapped it shut. Luckily, conversations with Mabel did not require much input from the second party.
“I mean, Dipper is dating Pacifica! For a whole year now! I can’t believe he beat me! How does that even happen?”
Ford chuckled a little to himself, remembering high school, when Stan had teased him for having a girlfriend before Ford did. “Well, Mabel, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone goes at their own pace.”
“Urgh! But I want a boyfriend now! I don’t wanna waaaaaait.” She kicked her feet in agitation. “Is it so much to ask? To have someone in my life who makes me feel special?”
Ford knit his brows and seated himself at the nearby table, setting his mug down. “I understand your frustration, but, Mabel, I…” The man rested his head on his hand for a few moments, contemplating how best to put it. “I fear you’re looking at this all the wrong way.”
She peered up at him, leery. “What do you mean?”
He stirred the metal spoon in his tea, lazily winding it around the ceramic rim. “If all you’re looking for is someone to make you feel special… I worry you might end up with someone who doesn’t have your best interests at heart.”
“Oh, Grunkle Ford, I’ll be fine.”
He had started talking before she even finished her last word. “I’m serious. You have to be careful who you give yourself to. You become so desperate not to feel alone that you-you rush into things blindly, without thinking, without stopping to consider the ulterior motives your partner might have, and before you know it—”
“Hey! I don’t do any of those things,” Mabel protested, even though she very much did do all of those things in that exact order, and also even though Ford had not been talking about her.
“My- My point is,” he went on, taking a steadying breath, “you shouldn’t settle for less. One way or another, you’ll find special people to be in your life. I know it’s not quite what you’re looking for, but you’ve already got a wonderful brother.”
Mabel flopped onto her back and stretched the skin beneath her eye in distress. “But what if he marries Pacifica and I barely see him anymore? I’ll have nobody!”
“Dipper cares for you very deeply, Mabel. I doubt the two of you will ever drift apart.”
“Mmmmm,” Mabel groaned.
“But let’s say hypothetically you did,” Ford proposed. “You’d still have me and Stanley. You’d have your friends, your parents. Waddles, of course. And any number of new friends that you’re going to make in the coming years. I of all people can’t guarantee that relationships won’t fall to pieces. What I do know is that there’s always someone waiting for you on the other side, if you’re willing to let them in.”
“Aww… I guess that is kind of sweet.” She finally rearranged herself so that she was sitting normally. “Say, Grunkle Ford, you never told me about your first serious relationship.”
“I- Oh, you don’t want to hear about that.”
“Yes I do! Come ooooon, I’m so bored! Storytime! Storytime!”
“W- I- Um.”
“Wait.” Mabel narrowed her eyes. “You’re getting all weird the way Dipper does when he has something embarrassing to hide!”
“Mabel, don’t be ridiculous. It’s just not that interesting.”
“What’s not that interesting?” asked a gruff voice from the next room over. A few seconds later, its owner popped in carrying what looked to be groceries in his arm, mostly snacks, fruits and drinks.
“Grunkle Stan! We were just talking about Grunkle Ford’s love life.” She clasped her hands together and batted her lashes.
“What?” Stan raised his brows as he set down his paper bag on the table. “You told her about Bill?”
Ford got up from his chair fully with the intent to commit fratricide.
“WHAT!” Mabel exploded. “GRUNKLE FORD?!” She glommed onto his leg and anchored him to the ground before he could give chase. Stan wisely moved over to the fridge to look for a few beers. “WHAAAAAT?!”
Ford tried to drag her along. “Mabel! Aren’t you getting a little old to be doing this?”
“No!” She looked up at him with wide, sparkling eyes. “Now tell me everything! Everything! EVERYTHING!” She shook his leg with violence.
Stan popped a couple of bottle caps and extended one of the bottles towards his brother in gesture. “Sixer, if I come over there to give you this, you gotta promise not to try to wring my neck.”
“I can make no such promise, Stanley.”
“Okaaaay then.” Stan, ever the innovator, set the drink on the table instead and slid it over to Ford, who caught it before it could slide off the edge. He eyed it for a moment and then took a few long gulps.
“Mabel,” he sighed, glancing down to find that she was still staring up at him with puppy-dog eyes. “There’s not much to tell! He manipulated me and lied to me and then we blasted him out of Stan’s brain. The end.”
“No, no, no!” Mabel cried. “Tell me when you first realized you were falling in love with him!”
“F- Falling in—” Ford cleared his throat.
The truth was, he’d been “in love” with Bill, in a sense, from that very first moment. But that all made it sound so much more… romantic than it was. It was difficult to explain exactly what he had felt. It was intense, and it was an attraction, and at one point he might’ve thought it was love, but… “I… didn’t,” he finished lamely, as if he were just now realizing it himself.
“Come on, Grunkle Ford, the cat’s out of the bag now! You can’t lie to me anymore!”
“No, I… I really didn’t,” he went on, looking down at his empty hand. “We had a connection. A deep and intimate connection to one another. But I… I don’t think it was anything like what you’re imagining, Mabel.”
“Huh?” she blinked a few times. Even Stan seemed confused as he leaned back against the fridge.
“Hang on a second. Back on the boat you told me you were romantically involved. Those were your exact words.”
“Well, we… were?” Ford himself sounded perplexed, as though he were working out a Rubik’s Cube in real time. Of course, if this were a Rubik’s Cube he would’ve figured it out a lot faster. “At least, that’s what the understanding was at the time…”
“Uh… okay, you lost me.”
“I’m sorry. I can’t really explain it.”
“I think I get it,” Mabel said thoughtfully, and the two grunkles turned to look at her. “You thought you were in love, so you got into a relationship, but you weren’t really in love. But you still loved him. Just not in a lovey-dovey way.”
“I, uh… Well, yes… I think so,” Ford affirmed.
“Yeah, I get it. I think I did that with this guy in freshman year. We really connected, you know! But I realized I wasn’t… in love…” she finished softly, as though she were now the one deep in thought. She snapped out of it with a shrug. “Womp womp.”
“Well, there you have it,” said Stan after taking a particularly long swig. “Hey, Sixer, now all you gotta do is tell Dipper and you’ll be three for three.”
“Stanley, don’t even joke about that. I’m absolutely done talking about this.”
“Awww,” said Mabel, who had really been looking forward to squealing to her twin about it. “Double womp womp.”
“Now will you please detach from my leg?”
“Nope! We’re bonding, baby! Learning each other’s backstories and stuff! Mabel-Ford bonding time!” She threw up her hands like she was on a roller coaster, although her legs stayed wrapped around his ankle. “Woohoo!”

Even though I post shitty/funny billford memes, this explains perfectly what I think their relationship was like pre betrayal
As someone who is aspec myself, I love the idea of aroacespec Ford within the context of billford. *Especially* Ford grappling with a lifetime of bafflement about romantic and sexual attraction, and then feeling *some* kind of powerful emotion about Bill and getting excited about it like “this is it! This is the attraction thing that everyone always talks about! I’m finally experiencing it for someone, I’m doing ‘humaning’ correctly!!!” and maybe he’s correctly identified it, or maybe its something else, such as queerplatonic attraction, or scientific fascination, but either way, feeling something like this for someone for the first time that feels more genuine than any of his attempts to feel heteronormative love in the past for an *eldritch god* is a whole other thing for him to grapple with, like, the internal confusion of “Why am I feeling this for the first time for a non-human entity? Does that cancel out the increased normalcy of me feeling This Kind of Love? Does it outweigh feeling Love and make me even weirder??”
And maybe, with any luck, this could end with Ford realizing that it *doesn’t matter* what kind of love and/or affection and interest he and Bill have towards eachother, and it doesn’t matter how much he conforms to society’s ideals for what a human being “should be like.” It doesn’t *have* to be romantic for them to want to be together from now til the end of time. And even if sometimes their relationship might seem like it crosses into romantic and/or sexual territory, *they’re* the ones who get to define it, and the multiverse is the limit. They don’t *need* to confine the way they see their love for eachother to the human definitions and expectations for how people should feel and act within a long term relationship. And if humanity thinks that makes Ford less human, well, he doesn’t fucking care, because what has the seemingly-always-just-out-of-reach ideal of “being human” that society has pushed upon him ever done for him except make him feel intensely isolated and unworthy? It doesn’t matter if society hands him the title of “human” that they’ve cruelly dangled over his head his whole life or not. He is living the life he wants to lead, in the company of the person he cares for most, and that is all that truly matters.
#aroace billford#not gonna say anything either way on bill's sexuality because im very hesitant to call the nonhuman evil guy aro and/or ace.#and bills sexuality doesnt matter here. you dont need to define it in order to say 'bill enjoys spending time with ford'#ford really truly Does Not Care if bill is 'capable of love' or whatever amatonormative society is so obsessed with#Why Does It Matter if Bill is 'capable of love.' Why Does It Feel Like That's Sometimes Brought Up As Proof That He Is 'More Evil'#the fucked up things that bill Does are what make him evil in canon. not whatever people think he can or cant feel.#it feels like throwing ford under the bus when people say 'bill isnt capable of love' tbh#because wondering if oneself is 'capable of love' in the amatonormative sense is Such an Aspec experience#and tbh? having an intimate relationship with a being that isnt sure if he's capable of love sounds great!#ford can be with bill without worrying if he's loving bill 'the right way' or 'enough for bill to be happy' or whatever#he can just Be. and he can trust that bill is perfectly okay with literally any reasons ford has for wanting to be wifh him#he doesnt have to try and pinpoint what kind of feelings he has for bill because it doesnt matter to bill#and that is Such a Relief for ford#of course all of this is ignoring the fact that bill was only ever using ford as a tool to get what he wants#but im talking about prebetrayal fords perspective! these are his thoughts based on the info he had at the time!#its still very meaningful for ford! bill betrayed him but that doesnt erase the way ford felt prebetrayal#someone turning out to be a liar doesnt completely undo the things they made you realize about yourself while you were together#which also REALLY complicates fords feelings post betrayal. he cant COMPLETELY dismiss everything.#otherwise he would be dismissing the good realizations he had about himself too.#so much right with this post

uh so Fiddleford is canonically likes men? And I guess Ford confirmed aro/ace hhksdkskdk
ok guys i- you-
I dont- post anything but the demons came back and they came back hard AhhHh
Why you making me write this why nobody else reporting this strong cannon
BoB confirmed two sexualities: Ford is aromantic and asexual, and Fiddleford likes men.
Lets start with Ford, cause its shorter:
BoB basically reiterated and highlighted that Ford is attracted to nothing.
Its actually very clearly pinpointed that Ford is aromantic/asexual. Why clearly? Like Alex chose, out of ALL the things to reveal about ford in Bills mind invasion section, is that he is "plansexual". He basically is indirectly says Ford feels no attraction. He is aromantic/asexual. Coupled with journal 3 entries "romance baffles me", and its confirmed.
Now Fiddleford, this is very interesting because it affects the story:
One, it clearifies why Fiddleford agreed to help with the portal. Bro just was GAY.
To extrapolate, he was from an area that expects traditional marriage Tennessee. He went through with it, probably wasn't super comfortable though seeing by how eagerly Fiddleford accepted Fords offer. So, integrating this new cannon, bro just always was gay for Ford and couldn't resist the opportunity to spend time with him.
Now lets gather all harder Book of Bill evidence
Bro knitted him gloves with many DRAFTS. (Shows how important it was to him to get it right)
Bro made him a snow globe of his lab.
Notice how it was HAND MADE.
He gave Emma-May nothing? He had time, he could have not made Ford two things, made one with for Ford and one thing for Emma-May. But he didn't?
The snowmen? And a whole picture of it??
Bill refers to Fiddleford as a third wheel.
They were roomates, obviously on very goods terms
"Try to forget"
"TheY emBraCed"
It was a very strong concentration on, and even mentioned in the same story, the gifts that Fiddleford gave. Notice how Alex SPECIFICALLY said Emma-Mays argument woth him was because Fiddleford gave her nothing. Which basically contrasts insanely with TWO HANDMADE gifts for Ford.
Lets couple with Journal 3 soft evidence where
His computer password was "Stanford"
The singular bed in the bunker.
Fiddleford knew when Stanford was possessed, shows how attentive he is.
He wrote up Fords research for him to publish.
Bro left his family for a while to spend time with Ford in isolation.
Disney decided to edit the phrase when Stanford says "happy to no longer be traveling this path alone" to " …happy to be traveling it with a friend". Basically showing the book was aware how gay these two sound.
Im note sure if Ford ever recipricated these feelings, he probably thought of Fiddleford as a very good friend, at most subconsciously some kind of QPR.
But BOY did Fiddleford fall for him.
In terms of why this might have been added to BoB:
I believe Alex saw how strongly Journal 3 implied Fiddauthor, (I watched too many interviews, and there were questions about those two, so it WAS on his mind) and just decided to finally clarify their bond. He eluded direct statements, but obviously made a call.
He may have also found the need to clearify why Fiddleford was so eager to jump in and help Ford for so many months, it is kind of murky evidence to say he just wanted to help out and leave his family for months for the heck of it while his son was still young. (Also in Twitter a long time ago, also kind of accepted that one jelous girlfriend meme of Bill Ford and Fiddleford where overlaid)
Moreover, the Alex didn't have to mention Fiddleford in the Book of Bill, all loose ends of his story were tied in Journal 3. Book of Bill was only supposed to be about Bills story, and clearification about his relation with Stanford. But he added Fiddleford anyway. And not only did he, but he chose to incorporate it in the Christmas scene: a very specific, often intimate time. This did not need to be included for any lore reason on than their relationship. It literally serves ZERO major purpose other than to elaborate on the relationship. Sure there were some minor mentions of fords childhood winter traditions for the funnies, a reference to dipper and mabel time traveling (footprints), and the santa goat story, but it revealed very little about any of it to defend the existence of that whole scene. It mostly supported already known lore with a silly santa goat story that circled around to Fiddleford being the hero anyway. Basically Christmas story = confirmed Fiddleford likes Ford more than his wife, which leads to gay romantic/QPR implications to his character.
Now, its clear that Fiddleford likes Ford, and by extention in some capacity likes men. So is he gay or bi? Not much evidence obviously, but I speculate he was gay, because if he had the ability to also like women as much as he liked men, why jump to the first woman so early in life and marry her? It feels like an impulse decision, he could have waited for others he liked more, to actually make gifts for them for christmas. He married her as if he was trying to hide something. Although no strong evidence to establish this.
And lastly, arguments may ensue because it was not "clearly stated given on a platter", but Alex communicates very indirectly about most lore, often leaving things for interpretation. Repeating the same information twice among two works, AND incorporated an INCREDIBLY specific scene about Christmas is pretty reinforced evidence of his intent.
I feel like Alex is kind of being devious and is toying with the audience because he knows there is a group kind of losing our minds over this particular relationship, hence the hazy statements and stories.
But I feel like summarizing what he wrote and the way he wrote it, there is no other reason why that content exists other than to confirm their sexualies and romantic preferences, and how it supports the plot of the story.
TLDR; update Fandom.con, Fiddleford likes men. Ford is aro/ace.
Like uh do you all agree or am I crazy or uh skmebody save me or 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

Detox old man yaoi - Queer platonic BillFord
Start note : Okay little clarification, Bill in the top right corner is crying, but the picture quality is bad so it’s hard to tell what the heck is going on. And I apologize for Ford’s weird haircut, I’ll give him his fluffy hair back (I tend to mess with character’s hair a lot…never on purpose , I swear 😁 unless I make them bald.).
Once Bill returns to Gravity Falls for the sake of his redemption arc, his relationship with Stanford is bound to be rocky. They bicker a lot and often cannot get along on the way to do domestic things. It would take a long time before they start to bond together again , considering how the trauma of the past abuse left Ford scarred for life.
Thought since Bill can’t do much with his limited powers, Ford doesn’t perceive him as a threat. They hang out together sometimes when Bill doesn’t have to work at the cash register or around the shack. Bill still had trouble identifying what exactly he feels for Stanford, and would try to pursue him romantically for around a month before giving up. (I headcanoned Ford as oriented aro-ace for this specific AU)
But sometimes they have wholesome moments they share: Bill and Ford seldom sit on the couch together, and when it happens, they cuddle up and Ford combs his fingers through Bill’s hair while reading, it’s soothing for both of them. Bill tends to fall asleep very quickly after that—he’s desperately touch-starved and has no idea—-

Valentine's Day headcanons for the Pines twins!
Ford: aro/ace but if his qpp wants to celebrate, he looks up "romance" in detail and comes up with flowers, a special date at a restaurant you love, and chocolates. He's pretty sure he did it right!
Stan: he's really silly about it and just wants to have fun. Gets you that "shit bitch you is fine" bear, takes you to a drive in movie, and buys you a present of something you've been really wanting but put off getting.
Dipper: wants to get it right, but doesn't like Mabel's suggestions. He takes you to dinner and then you both stuff your faces with chocolate while watching sci-fi movies.
Mabel: Goes all out. Knits you a special sweater, showers you with gifts, throws heart shaped confetti at you, and takes you out to a fondue restaurant. You go dancing, and end the night by stargazing.

Did you always plan to have billford in the goldilocks fic or was it a recent addition in regards to TBOB/thisisnotawebsite.com
Since I started the fic. Here, have an early meta post about my plans. And another one. And a third one. I've said TBOB/TINAWDC didn't majorly change any of my plans and I meant it. I've been foreshadowing the most emotionally devastating moments of the grand finale since chapter 1; now imagine getting 60 chapters/300k+ words deep before deciding to pair up the main character with one of the most important secondary characters without any prior planning or foreshadowing, jesus christ.
TBOB/TINAWDC just reinforced the plan I already had in place: pre-betrayal they were mutually obsessed in a way that got pretty homoerotic, but they both maintained a professional distance (can't get too familiar with the divine muse/can't get too close to the disposable pawn); Ford very nearly had a crush-crush but was too aro to fully tip into that territory before the betrayal; and Bill only realized how much he valued Ford after irreversibly burning that bridge.
My very earliest ideas for the fic were actually even more focused on billford before I went "no, an ensemble cast would be way more fun." And I was right!
You can see the foreshadowing/chemistry-building/general homoeroticism in chapter 9, chapter 16, chapter 24... and 28, and 29, and 31, and 34, and 36, and 39, and 39, and 39, and 39, and 42, and 46, and 48, and 56, and 59, and 68... also chapter 1. It's been informing how I write their interactions since chapter 1.

Finished watching Gravity Falls all the way through. I'm gonna talk about spoilers for this 12 year old show now.
Also it came out on June 15th so basically this show is a gift to ME!!!!!!!!
First of all, that person was right; y'all couldn't handle Mabel. That
This comic is fucking accurate.
My favourite character is Mabel because I see herself a lot in me. She's just so full of joy, love, and whimsy and reminds me a lot of 12 year old me. She loves art and cute stuff and is weird and silly and I just love everything about her. When she has her moments, they really resonated with me. 🥰
The story was really sweet. I really enjoyed the themes of family, found family, loss, trust, and just everything. Sibling bond shit gets me because of how much I love my sister and how Dipper and Mabel interact makes me think of me and Nella and how silly and real we get with each other. Stan and Ford's relationship was really tragic and seeing how some things made sense for how each other acted really got to me too. 😭
The show is also just really, really fucking funny. I laughed so much about stuff in that show. Grunkle Stan and Mabel were so fucking funny. I love how the two of them just fucking punch shit. Also just saying whatever comes to their mind is just like me fr fr. Mabel and Stan just remind me of my ADHD ass whether it be hyperfocusing on specific shit or just struggling to live up to some standards while it feels like others are zooming ahead. 🥺
The villains all sucked so much! I liked them! Gideon was very ugh for me because Mabel basically being forced into a relationship she didn't want. 😑 Pacifica also just being mean to her for being weird sucked a lot because I was a weird girl and people used to be mean to me like that! 🥺 Bill sucked ass and my ass still can't understand the fuckability of him. I think I'm too ace/aro and sapphic to understand. 😅
Not enough black people in the show but I also learned from my American friend that not a lotta black people are in Oregon and also white supremacists love it there so maybe for the best. X'D
Also I don't care how gay they are, I do NOT respect the cops! ACAB!!!!!
🐸🐸🐸/5 on the frog rating scale because the only frogs I can remember were in Mabel's bubble prison and they were actually fucked up and evil after they were cute.
