You can't just introduce a character to give a best friend to another character but then throw him away completely that's horrible writing especially for the last season every important character should be there even if only for 3 minutes... Hopefully they want to keep things secret for a last minute appearance 🫠

Jonathan, Nancy, Steve, and Robin left Argyle and Eddie with the kids after they survived the apocalypse. Eddie and Argyle really wanted the kids to be kids. It was the thought that counts. . . Really. . .and the kids did have fun at first. It was hide and seek, of course. When the others came back, the kids were crying and freaking out while Eddie and Argyle panicked while turning over Steve’s couch. Turns out Will is a really good hider, and he might have fallen asleep in the closet as he waited for people to find him. On his knees, Eddie was holding the couch cushions as he stared at them.

"We were playing hide and seek, Will is exceptional at playing," Eddie paled.

"You lost my brother?!" Jonathan asked. "Jane, why didn't you use your powers?"

"I am not allowed."

"Oh, sweetheart, you're very much allowed now!" Eddie shrieked.

They found Will and they swore to never play the game ever again.

"I told YOU it was a bad idea," Erica told Eddie.

"You didn't say WHY?!"

"You didn't ask."

Argyle's voice is soft, broken. He is standing so close that his warm breath fans across Jonathan's face, making him shiver.

Jonathan takes a half step back, leaning against Argyle's van. "I know," he says, choking back the sob pushing against his chest. "You can't. You shouldn't have to be more involved than you already are."

Argyle matches his half step, closing Jonathan in again. Jon looks up, staring into dark eyes searching his. "Come with me."

The sob finally leaves him as he offers Argyle a watery smile. "I can't," he says, reaching out and gripping Argyle's biceps. "My brother, my mom, Jane. I can't leave them. They'll need me, for whatever comes next. I can't leave them."

"I know." Argyle steps forward again, pressing his forehead to Jon's. "I had to ask anyway."

"When?"

Argyle sighs. "Tomorrow? Dunno. I can't... I can't be here when shit gets real again, man. I can't."

"Okay."

"When it's done here, come find me in Cali."

Jon smiles, allowing himself to remember sunshine and laughter and Argyle's impossibly bright grin. Then that beautiful mouth is pressed to his, bringing him back to the present. He chokes out an embarrassing whimper, hands reaching up for Argyle's face. He kisses him back, desperately, wanting Argyle to feel his sadness and fear and hope and love. They part, but Argyle stays close, hands on Jon's hips.

"Stay with me tonight."

"'Course. Wouldn't wanna be anywhere else."

i don't mean to be dramatic, but taking the sunshine of argyle out of hawkins now when maybe he of all people sees hawkins from the outside, sees how incredibly fucked up it is and then sits down to smile at the forest, to see the persistent growing of life no matter what................. is such a truly stupid idea

I FOUND ONE OF THE POSTS I WAS TALKING ABOUT!

Them calling him ugly again.

I don't think Charlie is ugly at all. I'm not seeing what they're seeing. I think he looks so adorable and pretty. I was just watching a bunch of his interviews with my friends last night and we kept fangirling over how cute he looked and how hes so shy and blushes all the time.

And kind of going off the subject but speaking of his interviews, I NEED to see more of Charlie Heaton and Finn Wolfhard together because Finn is so sweet to him. He seems so much closer to Charlie than the rest of the cast [besides Natalia, Eduardo, Millie who are close with Charlie too] and I noticed Finn treats him really well unlike most of the rest of the cast and crew.

Finn and Charlie always seem so happy and excited when they're around each other and Finn is so friendly towards him. I need to see more of that. I love Finn for being so nice to him.

And it sucks that we won't get to see Eduardo, Charlie, and Finn together in S5, because theirs was my favorite interviews for S4. they always seem to be so happy and having so much fun together.

This is just a friendly reminder to the Argyle haters that Argyle wasn't just the comic relief. He was also the one who saved their asses and got them safely to Hawkins. He gave El a place to try and save Max. He gave Jonathan a friend. No, he wasn't just the guy on drugs or the funny guy. He stole a pizza van for them and left home for them. But please keep saying he wasn't nothing but a druggy who contributed nothing. I hope he comes back in season 5 and surprises all of you. He and Steve would get along great, understanding that most people only see them in a certain way but that there's so much more to them than people think.
