Started watching Tales of Arcadia and I realized it’s the same people who made How To Train Your Dragon. So, Douxie and Archie forbidden friendship moment.

And idk, I feel like there’s a magic Spark or something when a familiar bond is formed.

What I love about them: Cat. Dragon. What is there not to love? He's just a really informative familiar with glasses who can shapeshift. He's wise and he cares for Douxie so much. I love Archie as a character, I just feel like there's something to him as a character and a familiar that is so charming!

What I hate about them: Rise of The Titans. Other than that, nothing.

Favorite Moment/Quote: I LOVED ALL of his moments, and just....DRAGON'S DEN, his moments in Dragon's Den were my absolute favourite. Finding out more about Archie and seeing him trying his best to help Douxie through grieving over Merlin, I just love Dragon's Den and just of course, this quote, 'We don't get to choose everyone who comes into our lives..'

What I would like to see more focus on: Nghhhh, definitely would have loved to see his adventures. Like, he left to become a familiar, to travel the world and find a wizard familiar of his own. I would have loved to see that journey and how he met Douxie. It would have been such a nice and interesting view into their familiar bond and just to see Archie grow to really care for Douxie as family.

What I would like to see less focus on: Nothing, really, just give me more Archie and his bond with Douxie and Nari.

Favorite pairing with: MMMMMMMM. Nope. I got nothing xD

Favorite friendship: I absolutely love his bond with Douxie of course, and the small moments we see of him with Steve, Claire and Nari are incredible too.

NOTP: Again, I can't really think of anything.

Favorite headcanon: I always thought Douxie and Archie first met when Douxie was a smol child so I just....imagine Archie would have shapeshifted into all sorts of forms to make the boy happy whenever he was afraid or down, just hearing the small boy laugh at his shapeshifting antics.

You can’t tell me that Archie and Douxie got into fights about the stupidest things. You could also probably count one one hand the fights that actually hurt one or the other.

Stupid fights

1. Blueberries are not just blue!

2. A chicken can live without a head if you cut if off just right (which led to a very weird discussion with Merlin as so why does Douxie want to do surgery on a chicken???)

3. Strawberries aren’t berries.

4. How many holes a straw has? (Archie: 2; Douxie: infinity)

5. Is hotdog a sandwich? (Archie: no; Douxie: technically, it can be, yes)

6. Is water wet? (Archie: no; Douxie: yes)

7. Is cereal soup? (both agree it is not, but Douxie tried to defend the yes answer for a little while)

8. Socks on before or after putting on your pants (Douxie felt called out because 1. “Archie, you don’t wear socks!” 2. Douxie wears socks to sleep because he gets really cold toes at night and Archie likes to make fun of him for it for some reason)

9. White and gold vs blue and black ($5 Douxie sees white and gold and Archie sees black and blue) 

10. Archie thinks the best candy is black twizzlers and both Douxie and Zoe started screaming at him (but in the end gave them to him after trick-or-treating. At least now they don’t feel bad throwing them away)

11. Star Wars or Star Trek (Douxie is prob more of a fan of Star wars tbh and I think Archie likes both)

12. How to write J and 4 ( “Archie, why do you even care! You can’t write!”)

13. Catch or kill spiders? (Douxie: Catch; Archie: KILL)

14. Not an argument, but Douxie throws a cucumber and records what Archie does and it becomes and quickly goes viral

15. Gif or Jif? (Douxie wouldn’t talk to Archie for 2 hours bc he pronounces it Jif. He tries to go to Zoe, but she wants to mess with him and sticks with “I pronounce it as Yiff”. Douxie is done with them both.)

16. Going with the socks before or after pants

17. How to place the TP ( “Archie you don’t-!” “I do, actually!” “...”) (They don’t speak of it again)

18. How deep does a pan have to go before it becomes a pot? (Archie says about 4-5 inches and Douxie says he’ll cook in a teapot if he has to. Archie was angered by this and threatened Douxie if he ever saw him cooking anything but water for tea or coffee in the teapot.

19. If different colored Skittles taste different (Archie says no and Douxie says yes but it’s because he refuses the yellow ones because he doesn’t like lemon and doesn’t want to look stupid)

20. Cheese on top or below the burger meat (I feel like Douxie is a below the meat. Don’t ask me why)

Painful fights

1. The first one was a few days after Douxie and Archie were brought into the castle by Merlin. Douxie stole something from the kitchen that was to be for Morgana and Archie told him that stealing wasn’t an option anymore because they weren’t stealing to stay alive. Douxie shot back with he was still seen as a street rat and nothing more, that the only food they got was from Merlin, and what if he decided that Douxie was useless and decided to kick him out? Archie tried to argue but had to leave (out of anger and sadness) after Douxie said he had no idea how hard it was to live on the streets cause he was a “magical beast who’s never had a hard day in his life and who was lucky to still have family who were still alive”. Douxie realized, later, that this hurt Archie very badly and eventually gave Morgana her food back and Morgana was more concerned for the boy than angry at him. She helped him apologize to Archie and taught the boy, with Archie’s help, how to politely ask for food. 

2. Douxie tried to do shadow magic against Merlin’s and Archie’s wishes. Once Archie found out that he was learning from Morgana, he immediately threatened to tell Merlin if he didn’t stop. Douxie got really upset because he “...was taking Merlin’s side!”

“I’m not taking anyone’s side! I’m trying to protect you!”

“No, nuh-uh. You’re nannying me! If I wanted a nanny, I would’ve stayed at the orphanage and never have met you!” 

“Fine, get hurt! See if I care, Wizard.” Archie spat before he left, the word wizard like venom on his tongue. 

Douxie, however, did go back out of anger and spite, and did get very seriously hurt because he was so angry while casting a spell and his magic was strong enough, but he wasn’t focused enough to control it. Morgana, panicking, went to Merlin. Archie was with him and began to panic too, thinking his last words to Douxie might have been some he regretted. It was 3 days before Douxie finally woke up and both very quickly worked it out. 

3. After Melrin’s death, Douxie was in his second stage of denial, anger, and took it out on Archie because he was the only friend he had left. He pretty much went off about how Archie would never understand his connection to Merlin. The two got into a yelling match as follows:

“You have no idea how much I cared for Merlin!”

“Yes I do because I cared for him too, Douxie!”

“Not like I did! How could you when you’re only my familiar!” 

“You’re right! I don’t care for him as much as I do you!” 

And Douxie just absolutely broke down and turned into an apologizing mess and Archie knew that he was just really upset and angry that he couldn’t help more and Douxie didn’t let the screaming match go for 5 months, 1 extra month after the 3rd stage (depression) was over.
