I've missed you all, ToA fam!!😭 This is the piece I’d been working on for the ToA Zine that just came out but I sadly couldn’t finish it (or my writing piece) in time😩 Still wanted to share what I had though! I missed posting content of my beloved Champions of Arcadia🥹

I enjoy exploring and developing the more animal side of Nari as a character. If you haven't already realized the dynamic between Nari and her brothers in this context is that both Skrael and Bellroc adopt more docile and loving attitudes towards her, often giving in to her requests without being able to say 'no'.

However, this benevolent and loving attitude towards Nari differs drastically with the way they treat the rest, whom they continue to treat with contempt or indifference.

Every year he puts on a silly hat and goes out to entertain young trick-or-treaters with cool light tricks. The kids will go running over to their parents to excitedly grab their sleeves, and pointing back at him, they'll say they met a real wizard. He'll give a polite wave back and the parents will play along, admiring and touched by his commitment - he's a breath of fresh air compared to most of the 'kids these days'. They do wonder about his special effects, though. Maybe he's a robotics nerd who's set up a bunch of projectors, or maybe there's dry ice in the glowing part of that wizard staff he clearly bought from a costume shop for five dollars. (And also that's an extremely well-trained cat he's got there)

My pieces for the Tales of Arcadia Zine organized by @demonunderpressure !!!

I had an amazing time working on the zine and being able to contribute to this passion project about this amazing show and characters that I adore so much!

The Douxie piece consisted of the imagery of him being surrounded by the magic of his loved ones while being in the void of the universe. His story and his life having impacted them so much, their magic embracing him and his legacy.

The Scrapbook piece, consisting of my vision of the future of these characters. The futures they deserved, a happy life together, moving on to college and spending time together. With stickers, references and just good times all around.

I also drew Nari for the cover! Showing off her magical butterflies!
