Captain Fox of the Guard is on a mission to recover intelligence from the Separatists when his team discover distinctly messed up clankers instead. After a furious battle, the Guard learn that the 212th are in trouble, and dash off to attempt rescue - only to arrive too late on an empty planet. The search for the missing troops leads to a whole new set of problems…

Clone Bang 2024- Survival as a Habit

Synopsis:

Captain Fox of the Guard is on a mission to recover intelligence from the Separatists when his team discover distinctly messed up clankers instead. After a furious battle, the Guard learn that the 212th are in trouble, and dash off to attempt rescue - only to arrive too late on an empty planet. time to show off what i've been working on for @clonebang 👀 my team had @aceinspaceart and @ofteasandherbs as artists, and @tearfulsolace as a beta!

When Chancellor Palpatine is criticised for keeping Coruscant's most accomplished Guardsman on his personal security team, during a kaiju war that's killed thousands of citizens, there's only one way to salvage his reputation. Fox is abruptly reassigned to the Jaeger Program, with the infuriatingly casual, competent, and charming Jedi Master Quinlan Vos as his partner. Fox hates the mind meld required for them to pilot a mech. Hates fighting murderous, superpowered monsters. Hates not being allowed to see his brothers. But worst of all is the threat the Chancellor made before rousting Fox from the Senate: fail to win the war, fail to keep the Chancellor's secrets, and Fox's son will be fed to the creatures of the lower levels. With an entire city-planet on the line, the only thing that matters to Fox is keeping his son safe. And the only thing that matters to Vos is finding out the dark truths of the Chancellor's office. Unable to call on his brothers for help, and unable to trust the Jedi he fights alongside, Fox is on his own. Yet as the war progresses, and he sees more of the Jedi way - of Vos's way - revolutions just may be built on hope.

Ace is a digital artist who also crochets! They read the three Thrawn trilogies last year and fell in love with all the characters and Chiss culture as a whole. While Thrass will always be their favourite, they also enjoy any Thrawn and Eli content they come across!

Favorite Ascendancy Character: Thrass! (and Eli, everyone's favourite honourary chiss).

Favorite Star Wars book / tv show / movie?: The Clone Wars is what truly got me into Star Wars but the 2017 Thrawn trilogy has my heart.

Why (or what) are you contributing to the zine?: Thrawn became one of my favourite antagonists as soon as I saw him in rebels, which led me to read all three Thrawn trilogies. The entire Chiss culture is so fascinating to me and I love all the character dynamics that were shown in the books so I hope to show some of that in my work for this zine! Fun Fact: Apart from digital art, I also crochet and I'm planning to make a custom Eli Vanto action figure!
