Okay. I’m laughing cause I keep coming across AO3 things here on Tumblr. What’s so funny? Simple. The way I sort fics on AO3 when looking for something new to read.

How do I sort them? Simple: I’ll show you. 😂 {Brackets for non-specific specifics}

And you can also see why I’m huffy that AO3 (Blessed be their staff cause I know it’s all volunteer work) hasn’t added a [Filter Out] section yet.

I will use this set up for searching works frequently. I’ve actually found some really good works this way. Cause it isn’t by “popularity” it’s by the amount of words and when the latest update was. It gives me newer works (Cause I have honestly gone through so many at this point) and with novel length material already finished. …. Please keep in mind I finish around 90,000 words in a day or two, so I need the extreme enrichment.

In my (very nerodivergent, very queer) dnd group, we have a singular neurotypical cishet guy who plays a character that’s just him- very much Just Some Guy™️ energy, he likes horses.

Each week we are blessed with teaching him a new aspect of queer culture, last week it was the word ‘Twink’ (“oh! I thought you were talking about twinkie’s!”), this week it’s Ru Paul’s Drag Race (“like with cars??”)

What we talk about next week? No clue, but it sure won’t be the session that I had carefully and meticulously planned

Ok so I heard something about a storyboard where Darius closed AO3 on Brooklyn's computer to get to Dark Jurrasic?

Oh yeah so basically-- in 3D animation a lot of the time we don't always have the designs for signs or computer/phone interfaces when we start doing storyboards, so we have to board placeholder images instead. And we just have to make sure to indicate important information that will be interacted with that is called out specifically in the script.

So all the important windows he actually interacts with are all the things that wound up in the final animation-- like the Dark Jurassic page, the dino tracker, the map of the drop sites, etc.

But for FUN-- I knew a lot of people would be watching the animatic over and over before it went to CG animation, so I added a tab on her computer that just says 'A03' to be a little silly.

It never in a million years would have made it to final animation because it never would have been cleared by legal, but it did make it all the way to the final locked animatic because it didn't actually interfere with anything important in the scene, and it made a lot of people on the team giggle every time we watched it haha.

the nature of crimeboys is that one of them will write serious lore on ao3 and the other will write yaoi on wattpad. and i can try to guess which is which, but i will never be sure until i see for myself
