Hello I'm randomly thinking about Healin Good PreCure for the first time in years and looking back at how wildly people misunderstood the point and expected every other season to follow a plot point that's very specific to it

Tbh the way people are equating the (to my knowledge majority muslim) palestinian people to all being/responsible for one terrorist grouping and that making it okay to genocide them is... very uncomfortable seeing that crap come from westerners, especially Americans, considering how the whole "muslims are terrorists" thing is a big stereotype here.

Like. I've said before, I'm not sure how much I consider myself muslim but my parents are. And this one kid in calculus with me has been a jerk to me for no reason for like the whole time I've been in school this school year. And I remember him saying something about not siding with Palestine regarding a group of protestors we saw on a trip. And then I find out just last night from some friends that that kid said something once about Islam being an "inherently violent religion" and now I'm wondering if that kid's attitude about me was... charged.

so. Maybe can people not lump in a (again, just as far as I'm aware) majority Muslim people with one terrorist group and use that as an excuse to support the active genocide and ethnic cleansing of them??

Today I am suffering because what nearly destroys Vash isn't knowing that he blew up July--he's known that for a while. It's remembering the people he inadvertently killed--their names, their faces, their smiles, their kindness, the interactions he had with them. Remembering all of them as individual losses, as people and not a statistic, is what is killing him, and also me. Later in this arc we see what lengths Hoppered is driven to by the sheer force of his grief over one person; here, I think we're seeing Vash feeling that kind of grief multiplied by the entire population of July. Something about Vash's capacity to feel that kind of individual grief about so many people is beautiful in the most agonizing of ways.

I like it when old people have romance plots in media. Divorced parent gets a new partner and their child loves them. Widow re-marries and finds happiness with their new spouse. Old gays finally able to have their dream wedding and live their lives openly. Elders finding love in a nursing home found-family style. Just. People older than 30 falling in love and having fulfilling relationships is what I mean. Because all I see ever is divorce plots and grief and loneliness because apparently you can only ever be happy and have fun as a teen/young adult. The moment you hit a certain age you stop being elegible for the role rom-com protagonist. It's a little discouraging tbh. I want to see that change.

It’s so disheartening that all we can do as active genocide happens is protest our politicians who are sending weapons there to do it, pray that the aid you send to supplies organizations making deliveries in Palestine actually gets there and spreading knowledge to combat propaganda to try and get people older and in power to listen. I can’t imagine how it must feel to be a Palestinian living in the US right now, my heart goes out to all of you.
