Progress Update

Hello everyone! I know this is a bit late, but Happy Pride Month! 🌈

I actually have something relevant to share: I'll be adding demigender and bi/multigender to the gender options in the next update! Not only that, but you will now also be able to pick your twin's pronouns separately, along with the option to choose multiple pronouns for them.

The cis and questioning options are now separate, similar to how you choose MC's gender. I hope the wording above is alright, but from top to bottom, it's Trans, Non-binary, Demigender, Bi/Multigender, and Genderfluid.

The multiple pronoun option has also been improved so that it's actually randomized at certain intervals, and is no longer limited to two pronouns. You will now also be able to change your twin's pronouns in the stats screen if they are genderfluid (thanks to the locket's empathy/telepathy powers). Speaking of, I'm thinking of adding custom pronouns too when I port the game to VN, but no promises.

Anyway, sorry again for the delays! Aside from me getting sick and having computer problems again, I have a habit of suddenly getting more ideas just as I'm about to finish an update. This is why I don't even give estimated dates anymore. 😅

Since I'm adding F6E's reactions to MC's ancestry, I'm also taking the time to add some banter about MC's favorite genre.

Besides that, I'm currently working on an addition to Roselyna's BFF scene, and I can't not add it because it's very important to her character development. As in, she probably wouldn't have ran away during the storm if this particular event didn't happen. Her emotional level will now also determine whether she lets Wayne (and MC) continue calling Josie mommy or not.

I also had to overhaul the pronoun system to get the new stuff to work. It's a lot more work than you might realize, but it's worth it because I found lots of bugs, and it actually got simpler, even with the new randomizing feature.

And since I'm updating the variables, I also took the time to change most of the mom/dad/ate/kuya variables to actually use the translated terms if you choose to have a twin language (in the narration, diary, and during private conversation).

I'm also adding new and very fun choices to the existing chapters which will add a new layer to your decision making. Yup, the "plot hole" in the title will actually make sense now. 🤭

There's also lots of other smaller things. Lots of them. The change log is over 300 lines now. But here's a tiny snippet from Lily's BFF scene before I go back to the editing mines:

Happy Pride Month Tulgey Wood Watchers! 😸🏳️‍🌈

So, I was inspired by @b0njourbeach’s current Pride series and decided to to treat you all to two edits today! One of Che’nya and one of AR.

This is with their permission, I asked and they gave the go ahead. They made a nonbinary Che’nya edit for their still on-going series, and they also make other very fun/funny twst photo edit series. I def recommend checking out their blog. I adore Che’nana. 🤣

I chose to do two different edits. One focused on sexuality and one focused on gender! Also, I did both these photo edits on my phone so please forgive me for them being not as good as they could be, especially Che’nya’s hair and earrings. 😭

I will also preface this by reminding everyone this is just my headcanon for the Che’nya on this blog!

Putting this under a cut because explaining my headcanons for Che’nya got a little long! 😁

Anyway, I think we all know at this point that my Che’nya is not heterosexual. Neither is AR! However, while Che’nya is pansexual, AR could almost be considered the exact opposite, hilariously enough.

AR is asexual!

If I had to decide which kind I am out of space, cake, dragon, and garlic bread… I would probably go with garlic bread ace tbh. Dragon ace is a very close second though. 😂

Now, while AR considers themselves cisgender but goes by they/them on this blog (but is also just ????? on their gender overall because gender is hard wtf 😵‍💫) Che’nya is not cis!

It’s Che’nya! And he is genderfluid!

And yes, the flag is represented a bit upside down… well that would be because Che’nya got dressed in the Looking Glass world. Whoopsies! 😹

Now, you may be wondering, if Che’nya is genderfluid, why does he use he/him pronouns basically all the time? That’s because, while I chose to edit him as genderfluid, his identity actually goes a bit deeper than that.

See, Che’nya doesn’t care what gender he identifies as, or what he is perceived as, or what pronouns are given. If you address Che’nya as her, then she’ll roll with it. She doesn’t care. Why would she? She’s still Che’nya. The same applies if you address her as them. They simply continue as they were - which is usually causing mischief and trouble. They do tend to do that. Call zem out on something? Do you really think that will stop zem? Zey could not care less.

However, while Che’nya is genderfluid, his identity could be further classified as a subset of genderfluid - demifluid. Meaning, one part of his gender is static while other parts are fluid.

Now, generally this static part is nonbinary, but it can be binary, and for Che’nya it is. Because, going even further?

Che’nya is a demifluid boy.

Which means the one part of his gender that is static, that sticks with him more, is his more masculine side.

Basically, to put it simply, he’s genderfluid, but masculine leaning.

Which is why, most of the time, he goes by he/him pronouns and that is what he defaults to. But for the most part?

Che’nya is just vibin and having fun! 👍

The shoe slid on without any resistance, and I latched it onto her foot just as easily. It was beautiful, a forest green high heel with vines curling up the heel. A pop of gold trimmed the outer sole, as if its wearer would always tread on nothing but wealth.

Looking up at her as she graced me with a satisfied smirk, I had no doubt she would. My queen. My love. Loki.

Tilting her shoe up towards my face, I leaned down and planted a kiss on the still exposed smooth skin of her foot. “Stunning, as always, my love.”

Loki reached down to scratch the crown of my head. “Oh, darling, you’re too good to me~”

I sighed in content as Loki petted me. “I’ll do anything for you, my queen.”

“Use you?” Loki echoed again, bringing a nail as green as her shoe to tap her plush lip in consideration. “Now you’ve done it, darling.” She lifted her leg from my shoulder to hook it over before coaxing me closer to her with a heel to my back.

“I suppose I’ll be late to my event, after all…” She mused as she slowly tugged at the hem of her dress, revealing the delicious skin of her leg, inch by agonizing inch.

“I hate to keep you, my queen.” At least, that was what my words said as I unapologetically nestled my head against her thigh.

“Oh, darling, but I love to have you~” She purred as she cupped my cheek in her hand, the other slipping her dress just a little higher…

OKAY LETS GET STARTED

1. dear, hello, salutations, love, sincerely, from, goodbye (8.99999/10). Im lowkey obsessed with this fic????

Like obviously it’s based off of my favourite movie of all time (DONT GET ME STARTED ON TO ALL THE BOYS-) and it also gives me the chance to explore Caitlyn and Vi’s relationships with their parents. Handling Vi’s grief AND being able to research lacrosse (I’ve been watching gameplay for the upcoming chapter lmao), something I’d never do if it wasn’t for this fic, has just been so fun. I still worry about my characterization of Cait and Vi, but I feel like I’m doing a pretty solid job right now. Also this is officially my longest fic to date and I’m glad I’m getting more and more comfortable with descriptions and getting better at pacing. The slow burn is kind of hitting I can’t lie, they’re so in love it hurts!!!! I’ve also been loving writing Caitlyn’s friendships! I’m SO GLAD I decided to write in Kai’Sa I’m obsessed with her. Jayce appearances have been few and far between, but they’ve been quite nice. I’m super excited to have this fic be finished and to get all of my ideas out!! More of Vi’s family dynamic is coming soon 🤭🤭🤭. ALSO, more scenes from the movie and even the book will be included I’m so excited lemme stop yapping!!!!

2. play stupid games, win gay prizes (8.8/10). SO FUN I CANT

This was my first beta read fic and also just one of my favourite fics of mine in general. It is genuinely so fun. I wish I added more festival/pride month vibes, but Caitlyn and Vi annoying each other did it enough I think LOL. That vibe of them just being the biggest nuisances to each other unfortunately didn’t last super long in the show so exploring it in this fic was exciting! The make out scene most definitely hit………. Like come on they’re soooo obsessed with each other it’s embarrassing. The bingo scene was most definitely iconic!!! The twister scene was too! It was just an entire bundle of fun no one gets it. Maybe I’ll post my notes for this fic. Part two…… is in the works…. Expect it by spring maybe?????

3. fix my galentine (7.5/10). Cutie patooties 🤭

I’m sorry but the whole “lemme just break something in my house so hot lady comes over to fix it” just kind of hits to me???? Like Caitlyn was so disastrously down bad it was the cutest thing ever. The reveal of what Mel (the greatest wing woman of all time) asked Vi was just so fun as well. There was no angst or anything in this one, it was just cute valentine vibes and flowers and love and all of those gross stuff so it was great to get out and enjoy. LET THE GIRLS BE HAPPY! I also thought a lot about Caitlyn’s job in this, weirdly. She was Hextech’s lawyer and something about that is just so fun to me lol. Was also thinking about a scene where some pipe bursts in the company building and Vi’s called to fix it and everyone is drooling over Vi but Vi’s just waiting for her job to be done to see Cait in her office and in a suit 🤭. First person was definitely a choice but I don’t think it hurt the fic all too much. ANYWAY, super cute and super fun.

4. who tf is this girl (6.5/10). Anniversaire 🤞🏾

Honestly nothing too interesting. A short little one shot to pair with the first ever fic I wrote and posted on ao3. It was just a fun little thing. I don’t know if Caitlyn would really be a jealous person…. Protective, most definitely, but jealous just doesn’t fit her too much in my opinion. It was nice little thing tho that I still enjoyed writing and finishing. I think I could see a lot of my improvement from the og fic to my this one. I just love their established relationship shenanigans idk let them be a normal couple fr.

5. hunting prize (6/10). Ooooo suffering.

SORRY THIS IS LAST LMAO. This fic was lowkey just exhausting to get through lol. It most definitely is not the worst thing in the world, but I’m starting to realize how draining it is to just write constant suffering. It’s still technically incomplete lmao. The last chapter is supposed to be about a year or more later. Caitlyn wipes out the enforcers and brings in the Wardens and then asks Vi to be the Undercity lead for them as they dance at a ball for the official announcement. I appreciate everyone who stuck with this fic because it took soooo long to actually finish. Whump is just really not my thing lol. I have yet to truly do the canon verse any justice in one of my fics but next year I’m locking in, I swear.

This year has been so great for my fics and everything, so a massive thanks again for all of you friends :))))

just to answer your questions more explicitly, though: honestly, assuming anakin is her favourite character of all time (or one of them!), it REALLY depends on the situation. touya-nii will most likely NOT watch those films with her—doesn't even want to see her watching them or be within her general vicinity when she is—unless she's having a really, really, really bad day. only then will he be willing (to quote anakin himself) to let go of his pride and do what is requested of him. only then is he willing to make such a huge fucking sacrifice (in his eyes, anyway) in an effort to cheer his baby up and make her feel better, because it is in those moments (and those moments only) where her happiness matters more than his jealousy and possessiveness.

the little piece i wrote touches on his reaction to her gushing over anakin under the circumstances of having a bad day, but if she were to do this on a day where she isn’t having an absolutely awful day, it is safe to say that touya-nii would get extremely, unreasonably upset at her for it, feeling both offended and disrespected by her actions/words. this ask expands a little more on his feelings towards celebrity crushes, which would also extend to fictional character crushes as well.
