When's B's birthday?

Hmm, lemme check my notes... Yup, I totally haven't thought about that yet or even their Zodiac sign! 😅 To be fair, B's birthday is the least relevant to the plot.

Until now, I haven't really decided if B should be younger or older than MC. It feels like B should be a little older than MC, but that would limit my possible options to March and early May (since I wouldn't want B to also be a Gemini). March probably less so, since I already have a couple of March character birthdays.

Taurus does seem to fit B quite well, so it's in April or May, most likely. I usually try to pick a symbolic number for the date, so my first thought was April 30 since it's right in between the two months.

But after thinking about it, I'll probably go with May 7. I consider B to be the "5th/7th member" of the group, so 5/7 would fit that quite well. Hehe. 😄

I'm expanding the crush preference choice to include demiromantic options!

I'll probably make it a trait, since it only makes sense to restrict the available crush options depending on your current relationship stat (which primarily affects B and the story world crush options), plus slightly increasing the chemistry bonus you get from a higher relationship.

I do hope the wording makes sense. 😅

Well, half-German, but yes.

B's dad and heritage isn't really that relevant to the story, but I might change it later, so I haven't really mentioned it anywhere yet. (There's a very minor hidden increase to your chemistry with B if you choose your dad to be German, but that's about it.)

“Gotta catch ‘em all!” Get every single last trait possible, is that okay?

Yup. Good news, because I'll be adding a bunch more in the next update! 😄 At least 13 it looks like, but most of them are from already existing choices (like MC's current opinion of Maggie).

I'll admit that it's just very fun to come up and play around with trait ideas, but I think it's just nice to let the player know that I'm keeping track of all these variables, while also providing some gameplay bonuses.

I'm aware that it may be too much to keep track of, but I'm not planning on adding any more traits after Volume 1 (except maybe phobias), and I hope that switching to a VN format will make everything cleaner and more manageable.

But if you really want to "catch them all", you can try collecting all the trinkets or discovering all the secrets!

If you choose to play a musical intrustment, it is mentioned that your twin plays an instrustment as well. The question is, what do they play?

Oh, thanks for reminding me about that! The musical instruments aren't too relevant yet at this point, but the type of instrument is more important than the actual instrument that you choose.

Now that I've thought about it some more, the next update will now mention that MC and Twin's favorite instruments are in the same classification, and I'll change this line:

Well, [Twin] only became interested because of me, kinda like how Roselyna made Wayne fell in love with dancing.

...so it always appears for both Heart and Star Twin.

This means your twin will have the same fave instrument as you if you choose the [Competitive] Trait, but a different instrument (in the same category) if you have the [Supportive] Trait.

Either way, there won't be a choice to specify your twin's fave instrument (and they can obviously have more than one favorite), so you can still freely headcanon whatever instrument(s) you want.

Two New Songs!

It's taking me a while to finish Wayne's sleepover branch, but that's partly because I wasn't expecting to write two new songs!

Originally, I was only going to write a song for Wayne's scene, but I got inspired and added a new song to Rosie's current BFF scene in Chapter 5. Both of them will also have alternate scenes just in case you're not in a singing mood.

Speaking of BFF scenes, I also realized that Wayne doesn't have a full BFF-exclusive scene yet, so I'm thinking the sleepover branch with Wayne will only be available if he's your bestfriend (it doesn't make sense to include any more BFF scenes in Chapter 7 & 8). Otherwise, MC will return to the rest of the group since Wayne's grounded anyway.

I'm also realizing that you might wanna see the BFF scenes anyway even if you aren't bestfriends, so I'm adding NP choices to unlock all the other BFF scenes! They'll be quite expensive since they're exclusive scenes, but having a higher relationship will slightly lower the cost.

I've also been reevaluating the other NP options to make them more meaningful. Ma'am Tessie will now actually get hurt in Chapter 1 (and might affect Chapter 8 later), and choosing to ride the jeepney early in Chapter 2 will now give you 10 extra minutes to prepare in Chapter 3.

I totally wasn't expecting that many people would have MCs that would delete Maggie's number considering the playthrough stats, but I guess that makes sense.

Anyway, if your MC is interested in asking JM for B's number, you might also be pleased to know that I'm adding a new NP option to let you change B's nickname for MC, hehe.

It's only temporary for now, buuut B might use it again in the future depending on how things go. 😛

New Phone Choices

Okay, so I just added a new choice in Chapter 3 when checking your phone to let you delete and block Maggie's number. The option won't be available if you choose that you still wholeheartedly love her though.

I'm a bit surprised no one has suggested it yet, but now I'm curious how many people would pick it, so here's a poll!

Speaking of, there's another choice involving phone numbers that I'll share later, hehe 😏

about the choice to delete and block maggie's number, do you think it would be possible to have the option to delete but not block it? my mc is the type of person who wouldn't block her number out of fear that maggie might find out somehow and get them in trouble with julie or robert or someone (they value their high discipline stat) and also because they're worried that their twin might be mad at them for doing that and it would just cause another huge fight. and in their mind deleting it is fine since it's like less severe and if they get found out and punished due to it then the punishment would be less harsh as opposed to if they had blocked her number instead of just deleting it. (though deleting her phone number might result in another twin fight anyway if twin found out so it doesn't really matter and it's just my mc's weird logic lol). anyway sorry for the long ramble i just wanted to explain why some people might choose to delete maggie's number but not block it and why it could possibly be an option. and you don't have to do that if you don't want to or if it's too much work.

You know what? That's fair. I'm always up for adding a middle-ground option. I think I'll add the "block" option just after you delete it so MC can go like "I wouldn't go that far".

I initially didn't want a separate option because that would mean more variables, but I guess I was just sleepy and forgot I didn't have to use true/false variables 😅
