Rhe aroma is familiar. He smells it as soon as it hits the doorway. His body twitching as he lifts himself up glancing over to see Sadao with a large plastic bag looking a bit flustered.

Behind him is Gabriel, giving two thumbs up before Anzu grabs him by the collar yanking him away into the other room.

Unlike Sebastian Sadao was able to move about a little bit better, he was mostly humanoid after all. With a lot of covering he was able to somewhat blend in, though he did look a little foolish. Sebastian wouldn’t dare tell him how silly he looked.

But today he just wore sort of a undershirt that was long sleeved, no doubt the back cut out so his wings and spine fins could be free. The poor man had to have more cover because of his cold blooded nature.

“Whatcha got there? Smells good.”

Sadao carefully steps in, hearing his long talons click against the floor and he gently grabs the long bench on the side of the room dragging it with his tail as he placed it in front of Sebastian.

“I have brought food. I know how tired you are of fish.” Sadao says quietly, and Sebastian couldn’t help but agree. There was plenty here, and easy to hunt them. He was a mighty big fish in a somewhat small pond.

He places the plastic bag and begins to pull out items and Sebastian is hit with nostalgia. It smells like his mother’s cooking.

“I do not know most of this, Gabriel helped me with finding it. He said these were your favorite.”

He gingerly passes what looked like a sort of calzone but he knew better. It was an empanada. Sometimes they were filled with sweets or other times filled with meats and cheese.

It was his favorite.

“You got me…”.

“It isn’t fair that you are stuck to a certain diet. So…I thought you deserved some food. Your comfort food.”

Sebastian just stares and then he takes the item. It’s small in his hands, but he doesn’t care. He can smell the savory scent, his mouth practically watering.

As careful as he can he takes a bite, and it’s practically gone with how large he is. The flavor is strong and it explodes in his mouth. It’s not like his mother’s but it’s close enough.

Close enough to make tears start to form.

“Oh…oh no is it bad? I am so sorry.” Sadao immediately stammers, his eyes wide reaching to grab at it as if to take it away.

Immediately Sebastian swallows and shakes his head, “No…no it’s good. I just I just haven’t had something like this in a long time. Thank you.”

“Of course. You deserve the luxuries that were taken from you. And thank Gabriel he knew more about this than I did.”

Sebastian snorts, he would have to thank his brother. Sneaky bastard trying to play some game with him. But he did appreciate it.

“Sit down with me? Share this meal?”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah. I’m sure.”
