3. i think she'd be so out of place and id rather have de2 focus on max and safi's relationship and this highkey sounds lkke bias because of my fixation but i PROMISE YOU its not.. mostly...

4. i think that max should grow by herself i really dont think she needs to be attached to chloe by the fucking hip.. like i would be so fucking ecstatic if you got to be with amanda/vinh/safi at the end of de2 but i think the most realistic ending would be for her to be by herself, not FOREVER, but for a good amount of time for her to be secure with being by herself because i personally think max is extremely codependent with chloe.. if .. that makes sense

TMayNT Day 3: Favorite Henchman! and TMayNT Day 15: Best Karai

Combining these two because it's convenient for me

I love Dr Chaplin because he's just SO eager. He was super excited to work along side Baxter Stockman (even built the guy a new robot body meanwhile stockman is literally trying to get ride of him), and he made giant robot warriors to look like Karai before he even properly met her. Then when it's Karai leading the Foot, he's just like, "oh you want me to create a weapon to fight ghosts and demons? Yeah sure no problem, give me a few hours." and he DID IT. He also broke into April's apparment to save Karai (she didn't need it). Dude would happily walk into hell for her and I like that about him lol. Good thing for him Karai isn't likely to go there.

Which brings me to: I like 03 Karai, because she has a lot of honor, and you can see her struggle with the fact that her adoptive father isn't as honorable as she thought, and she has this internal conflict of obeying the Shredder and doing what she thinks is right and helping the turtles. Then when Shredder gets imprisoned and she feels honor bond to avenge him, and looks to be heading full force to the Evil side, but then thanks to the tribunal arc and the Turtles Forever movie, she finally breaks free from the obligations to the Shredder. I just really like her character and the development she has.

Anyway,

he was surprise babysitting them for a little bit while you were at HOL

he had played with them for hours and now was sitting in his office supposed to be doing paper work throwing them up in the air and catching them

they were both giggling their butts off

then the bby started making grabby hands at him and babbled a bunch of random gibberish

but then they just shouted out,

"DADA!" and continued to giggle their little heart out.

Diavolo instantly stopped and just staired at the the goblin.

After he finished processing it for like 30secs, he squealed to loud that a few ghtbulbs shattered and gently hugged them to his face so they were cheek to cheek.

Overall, extremally happy! He instantly calls you to tell you all about it over and over again. He also insists you two move into the castle immediately.

Barbatos

You and the baby had come over from some tea with Barbs and Dia.

Barbs was feeding them some cake while you were talking to Diavolo

but they ended up getting frosting on their chubby lil face when they tried to eat the cake by themself with their hands

and Barbatos offered to go clean them up in the kitchen so you could continue your conversation with Diavolo.

As they sit on the baby sat on the counter, Barbs got a wet cloth to clean their face

they were so curious about everything and kept squirming all around trying to get to and touch everything that caught their eye.

Barbs ended up having to hold them in his arms as he cleaned their face

they kept on squirming in his arm and trying to babble out a sentence

and finally after the 50th time of them pushing away the wash cloth were they able to get shout out their first words

"Nah- Daddy!"

Barbatos merely sighed with a small smile before placing them back on the counter and showing them the objects they thought interesting

then they finally let him clean their face.

Overall, he's quite pleased, not only that they refered to him as their father but also that it was more than one word. He thought it very impressive. He told you what happened once he was able to have a private conversation with you.

Simeon

Simeon was emergency babysitting for you while you were taking an exam

they were having a lovely time walking around on campus

he showed them all the safe flowers and let them sniff them

they quite liked the flowers so the two of them stayed in the garden where he showed them how to make flower crowns.

As he finished making one, he placed it on their head and they started giggling and babbling all about

they reached for flowers themself and he picked the ones they wanted and helped them make it

after they were done they kept babbling and reaching up to Simeon from his lap

he finally noticed that they were trying to say something but decided to wait and see if they could get the word out themself.

"It's alright dear, you can do it-"

"...Dada!"

He froze for a moment to shock before laughing and lowing his head for them to place the flower crown.

You ended up finding them there in the garden playing with the flowers, he told you all about what happened.

Overall, very happy obv. He felt the same warm fuzzy feeling he did when Luke accidentally called him dad. He also insists that the four of you have dinner together at least once a week.

Luke (platonic obv)

You were visiting Purgatory Hall with you little chubby infant

you sat on the couch talking with Simeon while Luke and the baby played on the floor.

Luke always liked to have actual conversations with them since they were a new born, even tho he new they couldn't respond.

He was playing with their blocs with them while telling them all about his day and those "evil" demons

and they would occasionally babble something back at him

you had walked into the kitchen with Simeon to grab smth when you heard a loud gasp then Luke excitedly saying,

"Did- did you mean to say 'brother' [Name]!?!"

Then your child yelling,

"BABER!"

By then you two walked back into the common room and say Luke hugging them and maybe crying

you couldn't tell if he was crying or laughing

it was both.

Overall, he so happy!! he now always introduces himself as their big brother when he's with them.

Refused to let them go back to HOL and you ended up having a sleepover at Purgatory Hall

also, always runs to hug them when he sees them, doesn't matter who they're being carried by if it they're walking themself. He. Will. Always. Hug. Them.

Solomon

Solomon was over at the HOL for a small dinner party

you ended up being dragged off by some of the brothers so he decided to stay and hang out with the baby.

He sat on the couch with them laying next to him both sipping on their drink

Solomon had a glass of demonus and the kid a sippy cup with some juice

He started telling them all about his day and some random stories that came to mind

and in return they would babble back at him

almost like they were trying to make conversation.

After a while tho he slowly stopped talking and focused more on people-watching

but he was pulled out of that by the infant climbing on his lap

"Hm? What's up hun?"

Once they got comfortable they just began to slap his thigh and mumbled something over and over again

"Heh, what was that?"

The little munchkin just slapped harder and shouted,

"Daddy!"

After a moment of shock he just laughed to himself,

"Hehe, yeah..."

and messing up their hair.

He was seemingly the only one who heard.

Overall, he had a content smile for the rest of the evening, and he happily put them to bed for you. He didn't end up telling you, wanting it to be a surprise.

Thirteen

You two were just walking with each other and your baby was in one of those chest holder things

they'd grab at all the shops they found interesting and Thirteen would also point things out to them

when they got fussy for whatever reason, Thirteen would talk them down until they were laughing and happy again.

You had to grab smth from a magic store but couldn't bring in the child in fear that they might knock smth over and get rly bad

anyway, you handed them to Thirteen and went to do your business.

The two of em were just chilling together on a bench outside of the store

the baby was playing with her hair, absolutely enthralled by it

she ended up getting them some ice cream to distract them from pulling her hair.

As they ate, getting it all over their face they both sat back down on the bench

"Well aren't you rude" She said pinching their nose "What do you say"

"tatya mama!" they shouted with a big smile

she wasn't expecting any answer maybe some babbling but NOT THAT-

she was in absolute shock

wasn't until you sat next to her that she snapped out of it.

Overall, has no idea how to react, she'll tell you about it and after she learned it was their first word, she was a bit more insistent on hanging out with you two.

overall very funny episode! as much as i hate to say it i think needle is going to go here, she was very close to elimination last time and she also didn’t really have much to do this time. nickel is also a solid possibility due to him destabilizing the fabric of spacetime, which sources tell me is not a very “cash money” thing to do

It would fit SO well with Noelle's new "i have to take control" mindset. And since she thinks it's a dream she gotta be like "eh who tf cares" and str8 up kiss the real susie on accident 💔 that would also explain why Susie goes back to chekc up on Noelle, which is pretty small and COULD be read as platonic... but thats a little suspicious. Since it's the most and probably only time Susie has ever shown interest in Noelle in the snowgrave route, so why would she care so much as to even see her again right before they close the fountain? HMM. almost like she's worried Noelle may not remember their little time together and wants to salvage what they have! HMM..

And on the spot im on right now uh Noelle is a bit too happy to have had an entirely horrible dream(which is even MORE evidence)? And cuz of that, Susie asks with a zesty ass smirk "did u have a good dream?" Of course Noelle says it was a nightmare cuz yknow we hurt our poor deer girl 😭 but i feel like Susie was a bit hurt by what she said cuz she doesn't reply after that and goes back into her little mean girl mask she puts on.

Also yes i love the weird fucked up romantic implications of snowgrave a lot lol. its HORRIBLE and im obsessed with it. kris putting a ring on noelle's finger and neither of them are happy about it. hand in unlovable hand and all that. as hellspawnmotel once put it, they get forced into this extremely strange and uncomfortable, almost heteronormative husband-and-wife (again ring imagery) kind of vision Which is so horribly unsettling considering theyre just two queer kids trying to exist (something something kris getting commonly misgendered with he/him and noelle having a very obvious crush on another girl). as a nonbinary lesbian it almost comes off as this really fucked up correctionist way of playing where noelle just becomes a romanceable option, not to kris but to the PLAYER and kris is just forced to go along with it. it SUCKS. and its SO interesting to me i cant stop thinking about it after THREE YEARS.

OK so finally after however long it's been I'm doing this sorry lol!!

I love characters like lil Hal So much. the ones that get discarded/neglected. something about that loneliness is so fun to explore, especially in Hal's case. the horror n despair of being a normal person and then one day waking up in what equates to a sensory deprivation tank with nothing else to do but talk to your lifelong friends who suddenly don't even view you as a person with thoughts and feelings anymore, but more as an obstacle or plaything. it's so fucked and it's Sooooo good. I honestly don't know how he kept it together while enduring all of that.

During my first read through of homestuck I had to pause just so I could go on a rant when dirk called him something along the lines of a shitty experiment that turned into a monster. Like, dude.. he's not a monster, he's YOU. (moot point because those two things are synonymous to dirk lmao). but for real... he's you, from when you were 13!! of course he's going to be irritating and fuck things up, especially when being irritating and fucking things up is all he has to do. I know it's because of dirks' self loathing that he treats Hal the way he does, he's basically a walking, so to peak (lol), reminder of everything he hates about himself, and a guilt-free target for dirk to take all of his shit out on, because it's not like hal can actually feel anything, right? (and if he Could, would it even make a difference?) oughhhh. but, I honestly can't entirely blame dirk for feeling the way he did about Hal because I don't know if the average person could stand having their 13 y/o self around for very long.

This is where things start getting fuzzy for me about Hal, I can't remember many specifics on the conversations he had with everyone, but I vaguely recall Hal just kinda.. not really fighting back against his situation for the most part?(aside from insisting on getting a body so he could gtfo and do something else) like, he knew how everyone felt about him, he Definitely knew that dirk hated him, but he never seemed to be mad about it, never seemed to be mad about his situation, or at least he didn't show it. I was kind of surprised he didn't go the whole Evil Robot trope route, because he'd have been totally justified in doing that. If anything, he probably felt like he must've deserved it in some way (he's still dirk after all), and I think that on top of still genuinely caring for his friends (Sob) is probably what kept him from flipping his lid. I could definitely be misremembering things though. I can't remember if dirk always hated himself or if that kinda developed as the comic went on. Maybe Hal was just a chill guy who didn't GAF lawl.

I feel so bad for him and deserved way better than what he ended up with. no no its ok… yes. yes ive been waiting for this. thank you for getting back to me with your thoughts on lil hals character, i always think its nice to sit down and reflect on your favorites every now and again lest we lose sight of what makes them important in our own eyes ^_^ its also been an eensy weensy handful of years since ive last reread homestuck so i totally get it. im sure id have a lot more to say about hal and dirks relationship if it were fresh in my brains but im running on memory and nostalgia at the time being… oh well!

ive for sure been drawn to hal since being introduced to him all those years ago, but i think a lot of people are typically drawn to the doppelganger of our favorite guys as theyre born unto us with an inferiority complex! theres nothing better than loving and maybe even idolizing a character and then finding out they have a lame, pitiful copy living in their shadow. enticing and relatable. now that i type it out its fun to think that there are plenty of homestuck characters with that specific sort of complex but ESPECIALLY the striders. hal and davesprite are copies of guys who are copies of guys (who are copies of guys…) they really have the worst of it i think!

i dont believe dirk is a monster though, i think that he just has a lot of stuff that is very hard for him to work out on his own though he only wants to do it on his own. i just dont think he trusts anyone else to help fix the gripes he has with himself but in turn isolates himself from that potential comfort and connection that is shared with talking to other humans. i think having hal, a reminder not only of his own existence but his past existence sitting on his face at all times was a really bad idea. in hindsight. i wish i could have told him not to do that, but at the same time its really fun to see him get really mad *blushes*

me personally i read the rooftop conversation between dirk and hal as dirk coming to terms with the fact that he does not actually want to kill himself and is ok with moving on from the person he used to be in turn allowing hal to grow as his own character and move on from the perma presence of his better self, or at least that would have been the case if he weren't thrown into a sprite with equius and left to be a nothing character alongside davepetasprite <--PERSONAL OPINION

anyway its fun to type about hal and co with you :) its always a treat to draw him even though i dont fuck with homestuck anymore but thats because ive adopted him as my son and roommate and brother and pet. i love drawing him and always will

— SKETCHING

please note that i almost always sketch traditionally first lol it's just a lot easier for me to determine how the drawing is placed that way, but i always go over and re-sketch it digitally

for magolor i always start with a basic egg shape (lmao) and then i add his ears. then I draw the scarf; it's easy to determine the shape and dynamicism based on where the bottoms of the ears are located

then i usually add the cape and hood together. where and how these are placed and what these look like in general are very important because they're the main area that perspective is directed to (the ears and everything else is important too ofc!! but the hood and cape usually help demonstrate where he is looking and how he is moving the most). then i add everything else, usually his hands last!

ohhhhhh god my worst enemy. Hope youre sitting down because this will be embarrassing LMAO

lineart is easily what i struggle with most and is more often than not the most time consuming and grating step for me. If i had a choice i would drop it in a heartbeat, but my style is so dependent on thick lines and shapes that it's difficult to 😭 a hole i dug myself into unfortunately ITS FINE THOUGH. ANYWAYS I'm getting sidetracked

i use my finger to draw all my digital art, which means i usually have to use a Heavy stabilizer to avoid shakiness and staggered lines. Unfortunately ibis paint's stabilizer is actually dog water and doesn't even stabilize more than half the time (in which case i have to repeat lines over. And over. And over again until i get it right) but when it does like me and works properly it's very helpful!

i always use the soft school pen bleed brush as my main tool for lineart. This brush has been my best friend for everything, i even use it for sketching idk it just really like the way it looks lol. sometimes i change the aspect if i want the lines to look more ,, chalky?? or smoother depending on the work

i don't really use this tool much but for this specific piece, force fade was my partner in crime

also i think i need to mention that i use so many layers for this. So many layers lol like to the point it's embarrassing. and at the end i merge most of them (except for the gear patterns, rings on his ear, and eyes + hands, which usually need to be by themselves as they're colored separately) Thank you for layers

yippee yahoo the fun part !!! the part that i love the most

at this point, if i havent already, i always create a folder for convenience in organization because this is the part that i stress the most about what details are on which layers lmao

then i add ANOTHER layer below that for the color, then i put every single color used on their own separate layer!

now, for shading, if im working on larger pieces with more complex shading, i'll usually plan it all out. normally when just drawing magolor, i don't really need to do this anymore because i'm so used to it lol, but for funsies i did it here anyways

then i use the bucket tool to fill them all in

i usually have a set color palette for all the characters i draw (though the way i shade white differs. A lot between my work as you can probably tell fhdfgf). For every color, i have two specific tones that are associated with the shading. for example, indigo + violet are shaded with my blue, pink + light orange (or lighter pink depending on my mood lol) are shaded with yellow, etc.

so, i shade the other areas with the 2nd shading color

a big tip i can give for coloring is to look at a color wheel when you draw. i know that sounds like. Such basic advice LMAO but that seriously was a huge help for me when developing my shading and something i learned while studying — if you notice, in all of the shading in my work, all of the colors used are analogous on the color wheel. note that not ALL combinations will work together like others obv !! but it's a huge step in knowing where to go with it

then i add other extra details like extra lighting, halftones (if i feel like it // if it fits the work), glow to his eyes, and color the lines and ta-da!

another tool i use a lot especially with my more recent art are blending modes, especially multiply. i use a clipping layer to add a dark color (usually a dark blue or purple) and set it to multiply, then erase the areas that emit light

and this is the end result! this is a very very basic demonstration of it fhdjg i was a pretty messy with the lighting and erasing in this example but you get the general idea right

New Helluva Boss episode thoughts from a Certified Stolitz Hater!!!

SPOILERS BELOW !!!!

Yeah it was pretty good.

Ill probably watch some review and realize i have more problems with this episode than i noticed or realized, but for now i think it was just. Good. Not mid, but not excellent either.

Vassago (thats his name, right?? Idk how to spell it, oh well) is probably now OFFICIALLY my fav minor character. His design is bright and pleasant to look at, his VC was killing it, and i believe hes meant to be Brazilian? Which.. dude. I LOVE the representation of languages and implied races of characters like Valentino in the show, and it never feels forced. Props to the Helluva team for that one.

Now. Ignoring all of what Stolas has done to Blitzø already - eliminating the context of their relationship thus far… Stolas sacrificing himself is actually very sweet. He gives up his status, power, and protection to save the one he loves. Im not exactly thrilled that hes given up his daughter in favor of Blitzø AGAIN however. Give my girl a break, dude.

And how she was FULLY READY TO RUN OUT THE DOOR TO GO HELP HIM OR SEE HIM if it wasnt for Stella manipulating her - that just makes me even more mad. Stolas might SAY he cares about people like Octavia and Blitzø, but his actions just about never convey the same thing.

Now… WITH the context of Stolas’ continued mistakes, manipulation, selfishness, and pushy creepiness in his relationship with Blitzø throughout the series… fuck off, man. Actually leave me alone forever.

I felt like Stolas sacrificing himself for Blitzø is now erasing every awful thing hes done to him throughout the series. Its a trope i think ive observed before - “you treated me like shit before, and we had all kinda of hard problems that i shouldve moved on from, and become a better person without you around, but you saved my life!! Lets get married and pretend none of that ever happened because of a new toxic ‘romantic’ concept - a life debt!!!”

And dont get me wrong - life debts can be done VERY well. But you need a skilled enough writer who can easily enough cut through tropes to do it right. No offense, as the writing in this show is amazing, but the Helluva writers. Well. They cant exactly subvert expectations, especially when it comes to tropes.

However, im not going to judge and throw around Stolas for being depressed at the end of the episode. Hes lost the only life hes ever known, and cant see his daughter for Lucifer knows how long. Hes allowed to soak in the bathtub for a while.

BUT!! Seeing how gentle Blitzø was with Stolas at the end of the episode - helping him bathe off the rotten food, kissing his cheek when he falls asleep, just generally being so romantic and physically affectionate with him - it made my stomach churn. This ship can’t work UNLESS you ignore everything that’s happened before in the series, which is exactly where i think the Helluva writers are taking it, unfortunately.

Call me pessimistic, but i just really stopped liking the show as much when the OG concept was put on the back burner in favor of some genuinely toxic 2015 top and bottom stereotype ship. Like. If i showed you the first two episodes of this show, and then i told you the shit-fetish cheating owl bird and the shithead lovable scamp IMP boss very genuinely and seriously got together, you would be concerned at least.

Anyway, fuck Stolas, Blitzø should illegally adopt Octavia so her and Loona can be honorary sisters, and they blow the owl up and frolic through the daisies and get their happy ending and Millie and Moxxie get double married and everyone except most of the Goectia (idk how to spell that shit) get shot by Striker.

some backstory i fell in love w sumi as soon as her art was revealed i was like omfg peak design PEAKKKKKK i love her so much so i was really excited abt her but i feel like there were so many loose ends w her confidant and namely her crush on protag sometimes doing her a disservice (it turned ppl off from her (understandable bc i also dislike when writers make a female character out to be dependent on a male character) but also made other ppl weird abt her in the same breath....... shivers. people who overly-romanticize/sexualize mentally ill characters (especially girls/women) freak me out sorry

anyway that put me off frm p5 fandom for a hot minute. BUT regardless. i think people often focus on like "shy cute sadgirl kouhai crush-on-protag" for her which on top of atlus's.......mediocre handling of her also does her character a disservice... shes so multilayered!! she houses such insane convoluted levels of distress and fear and anger and reluctance and most of all STUBBORNNESS. i think her headstrong personality is not really emphasized in fandom but i can totally see it (maybe its just me but).

ok moving on to my shsm delusions i think to turn sumire's canon crush on its head i want to make them doomed to never get together. i think 3rd semester is so tense and high-emotion that royal trio are so deeply intertwined w each other:

like they all are mildly-to-a-lot suicidal so they hold onto each other so tightly to make sure none of them spirals and does anything bad. i think in the end they just want the other two to be Okay, even if they themself doesn't. if the other two are ok, then it's all good.

ok back to shsm LMAO i think seeing their relationship as like an odd high-emotion situation makes sense. they love each other, obviously, and provide each other comfort, but the idea of a relationship slips thru their fingers like water. is that right...? is that how it is? like i said up there they just crumble under the weight of their own love. tldr theyre in no place to "date" each other........ but they have their "almost." they're inseparable, they love spending time with each other, but knowing in the back of their heads that it won't last, and they'll have to leave it be one day. "sometimes when i really love someone i leave them alone forever." peak shsm to me. "let's run away together - but what if it's not enough? what if all of this fear and sadness still stays? i take a man down to the river and he throws away his sadness but hes still left with his hands, he's still left with the river (paraphrased richard siken). peak shsm to me. i think they try to treat eachother so softly and gently that it fucks it all up, actually. peak shsm to me. it's not codependency in the sense that theyre not trying to save each other - they're just trying to salvage out some love from it all. all of these terrible things that happened: there's still love, right? there's still love. but the pain can't all be sifted out, and everything still hurts. but they still love. (they just don't date or even talk to each other much after graduating and i think they talk to akechi but to each other its suddenly COMPLICATED. i hate these guys)

ironically i think if you throw akechi in the mix it stabilizes out and i think shuakesumi could totally have a happy married ending. but shsm as a pair i dont see endgame for them. peak for me is that theyre in love and then they spend the rest of their lives trying to forget each other (they don't)

IN REGARDS TO AKESUMI i think my latest 2 comics describe how i feel abt them pretty well!!! link 1 and link 2. actually i think akesumi's friendship is a great way for me to explore how i see/portray/feel about sumire, because i see them as way more similar than the game pays attention to. they're both stuck in their ways: sumire in her cowardice, hiding from the incident and refusing to move on, and akechi entrenched in his own traumas and feeling like he doesn't deserve more than that. their self-hatred manifests in two opposite ways but its very similar at the core. they both like. have no fucking clue what they're doing in terms of handling their pasts so that's why i think them working together to get around their own respective traumas is so fascinating: akechi is terrible at it, pushing sumire too far, but at the same time that perspective is something that she needs. meanwhile, her sensitive and observant personality shows akechi that like, you can have This too: a soft, good love. to have someone care about you unconditionally, so gently. you deserve that, too. yeah i can explode my head off now

i have decided to randomly infodump about my lab rats as a way to motivate myself to: 1) revamp existing characters old refs and 2) DRAW THE GD REFERENCES OF THE REST OF THE BITCHES (this will probably take me ages still. alas), more rambly details abt the story and characters under the cut

the main characters: Dr. Kitty Whisker and her twin sibling Happy(tbd), Dr. Brainworms, Gummi (comic relief character mostly), Prof. Fuzzybottom(tbd) and Prof. Snakebite (previously known as prof. pinky, i need to redesign him more heavily)

the side characters (these guys may have side stories of their own but theyre mostly just an excuse for me to design more weird lab rats): Prof. Smartypants - ref to be finished, ferret with a brain of a human, she is my 'authors blatant self insert' into my own story lol; Fishsticks (drawn, a dissected mouse/frog stitched together), (the rest of these dont have names yet) a rat/chick hybrid with funy lil chicken legs, a rat/gator/shark hybrid she is punk and goth and she Bites, a mouse/cat dna mix with a surprisingly tragic backstory that im still working out, more tba

each lab rat represents usually an amalgamation of different experiments as the lab they are in is 'cheap' with their test subjects and likes to Repurpose old, usually failed experiments and do other stuff to them! honestly even if theyre a success they still end up getting experimented on more lol but they are still unimportant enough and the lab big enough where they can hide themselves away and have their own space w/o being actively searched for. ofc the world of the setting is based on our own reality but way more Hyperreal, i dont aim to represent logical feats of science bc a lot of these guys would defs be revolutionary (and impossible) irl lol. i will briefly run down what each main character is a result of but ideally id like to go into more detail when i actually. make the story more visual in whatever format i decide to do (probably experimental and non linear snippets, i dont think im smart enough for a full comic)

Dr. Kitty and Happy are twins! they were the result of an experiment where the scientists were testing if one species of rodent could gestate a different species of rodent just thru a little genetic modification. and that was Happy! he is actually a bunny born from a rat mother and with all rat siblings (one of them being Kitty) hes a bit smaller in stature than a usual bunny being more rat sized but other than that just a bnuuy! further experiments on them was how well skin grafting would work between different yet similar species. it worked for Kitty (hence the bunny ear) but not so much for Happy... both of them had separate experiments done on them also, altho Kitty was more rebellious of the two earning her the shock collar. Happy also had experiments on his fur to make it color changing like a chameleon, as well as some experiments to his eye (tbd)

Dr. Brainworms is actually a sapient amoeba/bacteria type thing, attached to a host body(that happens to be a hairless rat), this host body is her most compatible one as she Can overtake and control other bodies but they start to decay pretty quickly. her history is something she herself is trying to find out as her host body is its own mystery.. is she just an amoeba that gainted sentience? is her mind really her own? was this body maybe always hers? who knows!

Gummi is a jelly belly gummy rat candy brought to life, pretty self explanatory... but shes got a few mysteries of her own! like, why was she even created, for what purpose, i mean who could even do such advanced science anyway to bring an inorganic candy to life, and Why does she keep talking abt a scientist with green gloves when there arent any scientists like that around?

Prof. Fuzzybottom is a rabbit! she used to be just used for breeding new test subjects which left her pretty traumatized not being able to keep any of her children, she became infertile from the stress so she was repurposed for other experiments, like trying to turn her fur to naturally be an unnatural color, and to be more synthetic like faux fur (aka a living plush) she was also blind so they replaced her eyes with a plushy sleeping mask that actually has LEDs inside that are hooked up to her brain to see if they could restore vision thru cybernetics. in her original iteration she was even supposed to be half rat half bunny buut i felt it too much, might still reuse the idea tho! tbh i just wanted a bunny with cute rat hands :3

Prof. Snakebite is not even a lab rat originally, he was simply a pinky rat used to feed the lab snakes, but due to freak circumstances he was actually still alive and after being bitten by a venomous snake, the stress hormones in his little body make him develop rapidly especially in brain power. as he was still very tiny and fragile, he wasnt the best subject to experiment on, but he was fitted with a brain chip originally just to read and analyze his brain development as he was much more advanced in mind than in body (of an almost newborn). after escaping he would upgrade his brain chip to help him utilize more brain power but also lessen the burden on his tiny body that could not handle the strain. he and prof. fuzzybottom are always hanging around each other, fuzzy very often babying him or just helping him out by carrying him and helping him reach places or handle objects, while he begrudgingly tolerates her as she is useful to his needs. also cant admit he appreciates her actually awww

the rest of the side characters are pretty self explanatory, theyre mostly just various animal hybrids and crossbreeds and splices! smh only the main characters get cool powers and shit -_- aside from Prof. Smartypants, after having a ferrets body fitted with a human mind(who doesnt remember the human part almost at all. its just the advanced intellect from it) tries to figure out the weird body dysmorphia with Science Potions aka chemisty. but thats mostly just to give another one of my sonas shapeshifting ablities (go figure) so yah if u read this so far Waow o_o Thank U and also Pls Send me asks abt this. if u want <3 can be questions or just ur thoughts ig!! id love feedback pleas please plea

Im gonna make a two posts about my original characters and then one thats about the world building. This one is about my characters that have their own world, the other will be about my pjo ocs. I'm gonna link both at the end of this as soon as I am done

I don't have too much in the way of epic backstories for most of my characters. Their lives are pretty chill before and after the plot besides maybe Delilah

Cw major character death

Delilah is a mage. Mages are like a sub-species of human that are super closely related to Homo Sapiens except they have an organ that allows them to use magic (more abt them in the other post)

Delilah is born into the house of Ainsworth which basically means her family is old money and they have quite the reputation when it comes to teaching about magic and selling magic stuff

Delilah wasn't the most rebellious child, but it was clear that she did not want to inherit the family business, reputation, etc or want to have that burden placed on her from a young age. This was a problem since she was the only heir of the Ainsworth family since her mother nor anyone else in the family really had kids

Delilah's mother ends up deciding to put an illegal tracking spell on Delilah to help keep her in check and stuff

The reason the spell is illegal is partially because Delilah was around eight years old when it was placed on her and partially because it hurts like hell to be cast

The spell left a lichtenberg scar on her back that stemmed from the basr of her neck that only grew as she aged and her magic matured

She always wears long shirt and turtlenecks/scarves and stuff like that to hide her scar since her mom never wanted anyone to find out

Btw her dad died pretty early on

Anyways, eventually she figured out a way to counter the tracking spell so long as she refreshed it every so often and she fled to some city where she met some of the other ocs

Before she fled, she discussed her plan with Rose, her best friend, until it was absolutely perfect

Delilah started rooming with Taylor (and they were roommates!) and they even worked the same job at a local cafè

There, Taylor introduced her to Lily and Chloe and they would all become fast friends with one another

During this period, Delilah and Rose often caught up with eachother via letters. Although Rose was very happy about how her friend was able to leave her abusive mother, she still deeply missed her friend

Taylor and Delilah start catching feelings for eachother but Lily, Chloe, and even Rose, all figure out way faster than they do

They end up having their first kiss together under a mistletoe on Christmas while they were taking their break at their usual spot. This was entirely planned by Lily and Chloe and they watched as they continued on with their shift

Not too long after, I'd say about March, Delilah either forgets to refresh the counter-tracking spell, or it fails somehow or something like that, but either way, her mother finds her and makes her come back home so she can marry this guy to help the business (how homophobic)

The guy she's supposed to marry doesn't like the idea much either and helps her not have to go through with it

Taylor and co. crash the wedding, Tayor says I object, etc etc and Delilah doesn't have to get married since legal loopholes and it not being an actual arranged marriage more like a forced one (its complicated)

Before that however, Delilah's mom decides to be a dick and turn Lily into a crow which kinda really sets off Delilah. She's so angry in fact, that she makes all the silverware, plates, and cups float but before she can attack her mother, Rose who had been attending, stops her

She gets Lily turned back into a human, but after a few weeks of being back home, she starts being able to understand crows. Then she starts to collect more shiny things. Then she stars growing feathers which she tries to pull out every morning until she can't keep it secret anymore.

Shortly after getting back home, Delilah and Taylor start dating and so do Lily and Chloe

Eventually, Lily can turn into a crow on command. I don't have a name for them yet, but although it is uncommon, normal folk with a mage ancestor(s) can sometimes gain abilities if they are hexed by a mage, depending on how far back the ancestor(s) was and stuff

The more she does stuff like that with her newfound abilities, the more she turns more crow-like

Her eyes change, she starts growing more feathers, and one night after really testing her powers, her feet change to more bird like, her fingers grow a bit longer, and even some of her organs change a bit which btw kinda really super hurts (jane doe quote)

Rose ends up visiting more often and since she's way better at potions/alchemy stuff, she whips up an elixr that helps keep Lily more human

At the last arc cus i have no idea how to do in between stuff, Delilah ends up doing the ome thing you're not supposed to do. Trusting strangers. By this point, girl is pretty desperate. She feels as if all this stuff her friends have gone through is her fault. She needs to protect them and she's greedy for power. Maybe if she wasn't so weak, she would help Chloe's siblings get out of that hellhole of a home.

So she ends up taking experimental magic steroids. Everyone told her this wasn't a good idea. But this is supposed to boost her magic! It was supposed to fix what was wrong with her!

It ends up making that magic sav organ work way too hard and overworks the heart. There's too much of that magic stuff in her bloodstream. It accelerates the growth of her scar, making it grow to her face and making her partially blind. Not that that would matter since she doesn't last too long after that. Give it at most 20 minutes before she passes.

I have more but its more ending stuff and i dont really have that much for in between so yeah

Also heres just a bit abt their identities:

Delilah: She is a lesbian and goes by she/her pronouns. she would be a Hecate kid if she was in pjo and she would be a Ravenclaw. I don't have a voice claim for her yet

Taylor: she is bisexual and uses she/they pronouns. She has big codependency problems and really freaked out when Delilah went missing and blamed herself a lot. She would be a child of Nike if she were in pjo and she really likes working out. She would also be a Gryffindor

Lily: She is asexual, demiromantic, and panromantic. She uses she/it pronouns. She would be a child of Iris if she was in pjo and a Hufflepuff. While she is quite intelligent, she is incredibly loyal to her friends and is the mom of the whole group.

Chloe: She is bisexual and goes by she/her pronouns. She would be a child of Apollo if she was in pjo and she would be a Hufflepuff. She is the sunshine friend of the group, always using her humor to help lighten the mood, even at inappropriate times.

Rose: She is aroace and goes by she/they pronouns. She would also be a child of Hecate if she was in pjo and she would be a Ravenclaw. She hates feeling left out and desperately needs to feel included. She puts in a lot of effort for her friends and is always there for them when she can be. She doesn't live in the same city as them, but she visits quite often. Aside from Delilah, she is the closest to Lily, especially since their personalities are pretty similar and since she makes the elixr for her.

Kanade is already used to making songs digitally, plus she's used the Vocaloid software before

The two of you end up making songs together a lot

You've probably collaborated with 25ji multiple times, plus Kanade and you often like making songs on your own

Aside from that, you two can often give each other help or criticism when you work

Although, while Kanade knows how to use Vocaloid, she usually focuses on melodies more than the voice software

do yall ever read a fic that’s like……….. is this even a buddie fic atp bc it feels like a buck/omc or eddie/omc fic that spends the entire focus on the omc just for the ending to be a “oh they were mutual pining the whole time and just didn’t realize it wow true love” and it’s like….. the actual relationship wasn’t built up at all??? and they just make the omc a carbon copy of the other and so it’s like… they’re basically dating them anyway so it feels weird when they just randomly get together? idk i hate amicable breakups in stories too where they make the person out to be a flawless angel and its like…. do you even like buck or eddie atp bc it feels like you spent your whole fic going “omg _____ is so happy with this new guy and he’s everything he ever dreamed of and he has no faults whatsoever and he and _____ are best bros and there is absolutely nothing hinting at any sort of attraction between them” and then you get to the last chapter and it’s like “oh but actually _____ is told by another character that ‘i thought it would always be you and _____’ and they go wait do you mean im in love with _____??? and the other character is like ‘yes you are’ and then they go to the omc who has been like the central focus of this story for the entire fic and go ‘we have to break up im in love with _____’ and the omc is like ‘i know, i could tell, it’s always been ______’” and im like….. how was it “always” buck and eddie when you spend the entire story focused on this omc relationship and barely have any scenes with buddie showcasing their relationship/buildup? literally portraying them as being head over heels in love w each other and portraying them as soulmates and shit just for them to be like “but no the whole time _____ subconsciously wanted _____” without any indication… like at least the show gives us interactions and subtext whenever they’re in relationships w other people they don’t just completely ignore the fact that the two of them actually interact with each other 💀💀💀 and im not even talking about forced/self isolation i mean they just literally do not write buddie interacting and it’s like damn at that point write the fic as an established relationship fic and drop the getting together plot from the last chapter bc it feels like you ship them w your omc than the other anyway 😭😭😭

sorry for the rant post i just spent 2 hours reading a fic waiting for the mutual pining only for it to be eddie/omc for 16 chapters and then a full chapter of eddie mourning the breakup and then 1 chapter of actual acknowledgement of buck and eddie having and kind of interactions w each other and it was tagged as a buddie mutual pining fic…. but we didn’t even get a whole chapter of mutual pining….

Apparently bkg and kiri are still good friends in the future, seeing him having shotgun and eating in bkg's car?(He is so pretty too <3 my baby's face card and big lashes never declained hell yeah) they are besties :') knew they were hanging out and doing their thing "behind cameras" im so happy for that that's all i wanted at this point.

Gonna miss the kids man mid ass shounen manga but the characters are so dear to me still, hope things are going good for you take care.

HELLO!!! i'm back from months of silence on this blog!!! thank you for the message, i hope you're doing well! i live in shock and awe that krbk's deep, inexplicable friendship was confirmed all the way up to the end of the end!!

i somehow managed to delete twitter JUST before leaks hit but was still using other social media for another day or so, which is how i reblogged that art not knowing it was based in canon at all!! i even remember thinking "aw i'm happy pa/unchsalazar comes back to krbk every now and again". back in august i was underwhelmed w how cramped the original/"true" ending was, so i was really enthusiastic abt an epilogue that could give the characters (especially izuku) a little more time to speak. however in noooooooo way did i expect any sort of krbk interactions, let aloooone to the extent that we got!!

my own personal krbk anniversary (january 15th!!) came around this year for the 7th time - i have always been mega mega deep into krbk but this chapter really threw me for a loop. hopefully this stays in my krbk tumblr containment chamber but i think realistically this is the most krbk ending we could've gotten so in my heart i kind of see them as supported by canon. and if that sounds far fetched then let's get into the question of what is krbk anyways? an anime ship? a "bond between equals"? a strong friendship between two boys that, no matter how far their stories converge, always gets circled back to? i think honestly the gray area of them having a really admirable friendship that also makes you think "if they're just friends then what the fuck is going on" has always been part of why i like them so much and what is more "what the fuck is going on" than bakugou using the kanji from kirishima's hero name in his own hero title, despite all language norms and for no feasible reason. their weird friendship grew up with them. i love them.

i agree that lol i am going to miss the distinct lovable flavor of mid that bnha provided - that really hit me in the chapter where deku finds uraraka on the cliff and calls her his hero, then the entire class finds and joins them. it's equally odd and pleasant imo that bnha has been winding down as i've been preparing to leave japan. i feel really lucky to have been here for most of the wind down and to have gotten to buy its very last chapter in jump and visited a lot of the victory-lap events - on that note here's a picture of when i got to take krbk to the tokyo tower collab:

(the tokyo tower collab is the source of this character art and alongside lots of merch and collab drinks the main event was a "mystery game" where you solve a packed of puzzles using clues on the character standees scattered around the tower. i found it totally delightful and also really challenging at times - i partnered up with another foreigner girl and we muscled through the final stage together and still needed the help of a verrrry kind staff woman to complete it)

...and i'm going to try to make it to as many events as i can before my time is through!! next weekend i'm attending my first doujinshi market!! and a lot of krbk artists i've known for a long time are gonna be there!! in that same weekend i also want to check off the tokyo skytree collab. it's funny because i was never interested at all in going to tokyo tower or skytree but then randomly because of bnha i'll be knocking them both out in the span of 2 months. lol. i'm also really excited to go to the final art exhibition and will report back on if bakugou "gets too shy to talk about kirishima" in the audio narration this time around

that ended up mostly being about me and my life but seriously thank you for the message!! i hope you're doing so well!! i really love this revived era of krbk the epilogue has thrown us into and i wish a very prosperous february of krbk to all of y'all with all the art and fics people have so lovingly been posting. as of this afternoon i'm done with my grad school apps so now i can tackle the wips i've had sitting in my drive since this summer!! and hopefully be back to talk to y'all soon!!! if anyone is still reading i'd love to know what you've been up to and what krbks thoughts have been on your mind. and other than that i really do hope you have a nice day!
