Tʜᴇ Pʟᴏᴛ: You and Wally are out on a picnic date, once you hug Wally you soon learn that he doesn’t understand hugs. Time to teach this silly man!

Cᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛ Wᴀʀɴɪɴɢs: Purely fluff again, along with you and Wally being two puppets in love. Also no usage of (y/n) and gender neutral.

It was a nice sunny day out in the neighborhood, you and Wally were out in a flower field having a nice picnic.

Wally baked a warm apple pie and brought along your favorite treats. You brought sandwiches, nothing more, nothing less. The breeze was nice and cooling, you and Wally were both having silly conversations. From the wacky adventures that had happened to the most mundane things like going apple picking.

You’ve loved Wally unconditionally, even in moments like these. Wally felt the same about your love, it made his heart melt. From your affectionate touches to smooshing your cheek against his. He enjoyed every minute of it.

You gently pulled him in for a hug, only to feel him get heavier as Wally is a bit limp. Almost like a rag doll. “Wally are you okay??” You asked with worry laced into your tone. “Mhm… But what are you doing..?” Wally tilts his head curiously at you. “You never had a hug before..?”

“I have, but it doesn’t happen often.” Wally stated, you decided to pry a bit further. “Does it make you uncomfortable..?” You asked hoping you haven’t pushed his boundaries. “No, not really. It’s just that.. I don’t fully understand what it is…” His smile doesn’t waver and your heart felt a wave of relief.

“Maybe I can explain it!” You proposed and Wally gives you a closed eyed smile. “That would be wonderful!”

Soon you told him how hugs are apart of a love language, physical affection. You listed it off as Wally felt himself better understanding what hugs can mean. It can mean I love you, I’m here for you and so many different other ways. Who knew such a simple act could hold such enriched meaning.

“Does that make sense..? I hope I’m making sense.” Wally smiled and said. “I completely understand, don’t be alarmed. You’re actually pretty good at explaining hugs.” You felt your heart start to race again. “Awww gee, Wally… I’m happy to hear that!”

“You’re welcome, I love hearing your voice too. It makes me feel at ease.” Wally confessed making your heart want to burst out of your chest.

Wally definitely had a way with his words. He always knew how to tug on your heartstrings and swept you off your feet. Making you fall in love with him again and again.

“Wally…” You muttered bashfully, Wally laughs and places a kiss on your cheek. “Let’s eat I don’t want your cooking to get eaten by ants.” Said Wally as he feels you release him.

You both snuggled close, watching the clouds go by as the soft scent of flowers and honey waft through the air. A perfect day to be in Wally’s arms.
