I am NOT saying the most recent Hunter the Parenting audio log made me crazy…

But me and my friend have been discussing whether Marckus is destined for an awakening (a la: Mage) that D has been desperately trying to stall, or whether D interrupted his Chrysalis (a la; Changeling) and I have been been down a reddit/fandom wiki hole including but not limited to: Neverborn, True Fae of the Dreaming, and Outer Lords and now I look like this:

But congratulations to Kitten and Marckus for becoming the fathers to 2 new terrible trembling attic children! So proud of them!

Here are some miscellaneous sketches I drew and took a photo of the same time as the animatic concept arts. But took me a while to post because of writing the image descriptions. I hope you like them!

Image Descriptions:

Image 1: Is of Desmond Sycamore from the Professor Layton Series. It is a side profile styled shot from head to shoulders. He is looking to our left with a surprised expression. He has his red rectagular glasses on and is wearing his signature double breasted waist coat, tie and white button-up shirt.

Image 2: Is also of Desmond, but in a 3/4's angle facing to our right slightly downturned. It is also head to shoulders since it's easier to draw and is good for simple expression practices. He has a bit of a confused pout on his face. He's wearing his rectangular glasses but a dark button-up shirt.

Image 3: Is of Desmond as Howl. As a sort of fun Howl's moving castle au. It depicts him in the scene after he first returns in his semi-bird form. Its a 3/4's shot with his head up as he reclines in his chair. He has a slight discomforted expression and has feathers in his hair and from his face. He is turned to our right and has a small window in the background about the same size of his head to the right of his face.

Image 4: Is of Meier Link and Charlotte from Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust (the movie). It has Meier and Charlotte facing eachother. Head to shoulders (for Meier more of a head to lower bicep due to his height), side profile. Meier is facing her to our right while she faces him turned to the left. Both looking into eachothers eyes with a fond, soft expression.

Image 5: Is of D from Vampire Hunter D. He is drawn in a 3/4��s angle looking to our left. From a head to shoulders shot. He has a neutral if not discontented expression. In his big brimmed hat and armour.

Image 6: Is of Lü Shang from Dislyte. He is also in a 3/4’s shot turned to our left and is drawn from head to shoulders. He is smiling warmly and kindly and giving the viewer a wave with his right hand.

Image 7: Is of Anton Herzen from Professor Layton. It is based on his introduction in the game. He is drawn in a 3/4's angle, head to shoulders shot. With a light smirk looking to the viewer. He is turned to our left and has the moon looming behind him.

Image 8: Is of Anton and Sophie from Professor Layton. You can tell I was in a bit of a Pandora's/Diabolical box kick since its October. But in this shot it was based on the scene Anton and Sophie were dancing. They are looking into eachothers eyes with warm smiles in a side profile. And is from head to waist. Sophie is on our left and Anton is on the right. Her hand rests on his shoulder while Anton has his on her side.

Image 9: And final, Hayden from Fields of Mistria. He is drawn from head to lower hip and is based on his game sprite. He like the other sprite redraws are in a 3/4 and is facing to our right. He has his usual welcoming smile and is giving the viewer a slight wave with his left hand and the other is tucked a bit under his belt hook.

Bonus little facts:

I drew some characters from The Vampire Hunter D movie because I'm planning to rewatch it again for Halloween this year. The style is just really pretty and unique. And has become sort of a tradition in these past three years.

I got a while back Lü Shang in Dislyte since i casually play it and really was interested in his story and quest in the game. Just a really nice character. I only got him after saving enough of those crystals when you get repeats or 5 stars.

I might try to edit an edit of Pandora's/Diabolical Box for Halloween, after rewatching the cutscenes. I also might draw more sketches but I can't make any promises. Little extra fact this is one of the three Professor Layton games (Curious Village, Pandora's/Diabolic Box and Last Spectre/Spectre's call.)

The Prince of Asturias, the Future Charles IV

Artist: Anton Raphael Mengs (German, 1728–1779)

Description: Español: Retrato del príncipe de Asturias Carlos de Borbón (1748-1819), que fue hijo del rey Carlos III de España y llegaría a reinar en España como Carlos IV.

This portrait of Charles IV as the Prince of Asturias has as its pendant a portrait of his wife, María Luisa of Parma , also in the Museo del Prado. Anton Raphael Mengs had come to Spain in 1761 at the invitation of Charles III in order to serve as painter de camara , or court painter, the most prestigious appointment for an artist in the service of the king. He probably produced this canvas and its companion in 1765 as wedding portraits, for it was in that year that the prince and princess were married.

The 17-year-old prince stands elegantly, using his shotgun as a support. He wears a gray coat, black leather riding boots and the insignia of his superior status: on his breast is the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece , as well as those of the military orders of the Holy Spirit (which was due to the prince as a member of the House of Bourbon ) and Saint Januarius —the order founded by his father in 1738 as King of Naples and the Two Sicilies to celebrate his marriage to Maria Amalia of Saxony . Hunting on horseback, once the sole preservation of the monarchy, was no longer restricted to the royals in the eighteenth century. However, emblems of royal power persisted in iconographic representations of the hunt, which included the deer, in whose pursuit the prince's valor and firmness would be tested, or the dog that, in images of kings and princes, symbolized the loyalty of their subjects.

Charles IV was born in 1748 in Portici , Naples , and could therefore be considered a foreigner under Spanish law. As such, his right to the throne could theoretically have been challenged, yet here he is presented as the natural heir to the Crown and, together with his wife, the guarantors of the dynasty's preservation in the future.

Anton Blast/ Monster Hunter

Rider was in quite the predicament. Alone in a unfamiliar place with only there trusted Long Sword and Kinship Stone. No Monsties, no friends, only the equipment they had on them. This was one Hell of a bind they found themselves in.

Thankfully a Kind-Hearted yet easily enraged man takes them under his care along with his chaotic work partner.

Anton Blast/ Kirby

Kirby's Star Ship crashed landed in Boiler City a far cry from what was the Star Ship's original destination. However a man who is just as Spirited as the Spirits he drinks finds the young dazed Star Warrior and decides too take the lovable Pink Puffball under his care.

Something that will definitely not lead too shenanigans or grand adventures at all

Anton Blast/ Mega Man

Anton didn't expect too find a young Kid who looked like he just fought the Devil Himself, but there he was lying on the ground beaten too high Hell. That just boiled Anton's blood. Who the Hell beats the stuffing out of some poor kid?! He was gonna take the Kid back too his apartment. Annie despite being a Master at demolition was actually fantastic with a first aid kit.

Though unknown too Anton he was gonna need some nuts and bolts for the Kid. Good thing Annie is also fantastic with machines

Back too the Frozen over lake

I love all three because while Anton is chaotically blunt, he does have a good heart. Also he's canonically a single dad so the man has experience in the parenting department. Either option guarantees some craziness.

For the first scenario, I can see Rider's Kinship Stone acting as a detector for their missing Monsties. Each one has new equipment for them to use. Also Anton would be so giddy to see his new kid can also wield a hammer.

Hammer Kirby is definitely gonna be a favorite transformation between the two demolitionists. Also the pink puffball would be such a terror to the Ballbusters. The Pink Demon nickname continues to spread.

Annie and Anton would also be slightly surprised that they found a robot kid. Finding spare parts around Boiler City wouldn't be too difficult. Even if some might have to come from a blimp being piloted by the Bossbusters.

Also apparently Tony Grayson, one of the people behind Antonblast, says that the world is essentially post apocalyptic with only Florida(now the Backburner Peninsula), Brazil and Japan being left. Groudon would have a field day in making new land.

Salvador was settling into fatherhood and enjoying his job as Diego Lobo's gardener. He heard a surprising piece of news from Anton— "Mr. Lobo, he's one of us, and he hosts parties for men like us. I want you to come with me."

He knew what he meant, and felt somewhat hesitant— he liked women, though what he and Anton felt had been real and he'd come to terms with his desire for both sexes. "Anton, I have a wife. I can't just go around with those men. And Lobo is my employer— It'd be awkward."

"It does not have to be a date, Sal. Just as a friend, to make some new friends."

Sal reluctantly agreed, and found that he felt a sense of community, that he and Anton were not alone. He had rarely seen the interior of Diego's mansion, rarely seen the personal life of his employer. He started to see him as someone who could be a friend and mentor to him.

But it was at one of these events in June 1950, in the early morning hours, that the radio's music was interrupted with news from Washington— that the United States had entered the war in Korea.

for the sake of a fic I've been tossing around in my head, will we ever see any of Id's previous murder attempts in flashbacks throughout the story?

undecided! You will see new ones depending on how your hunter acts in that relationship, but I haven't decided if I want more explicit flashbacks- they certainly aren't a core part of the story I have planned, but I always leave a bit of wiggle-room. The hunters past is largely up to your imagination, apart for inherently knowing locations, factions and knowledge pertaining to your [origin] work. I will mention the past a lot, but it isn't defined.

The more interpersonal things, how your relationships played out before the story started- I'm just giving every hunter rough guidelines of how the character fits into the world, and the rest is up to you!

And I mean, just fucking go for it. I am not too precious about my characters- I wanted ouro to be an interactive fiction because how malleable the story becomes to every reader. I have yet to see a take on the characters/protagonist that has made me balk, and honestly, I'm kind of looking forward for that to happen.

Anyway, this is so off track from your question- but I hope you see my point; even if there were defined events of the murder-attempts, please feel free to headcanon some for yourself, always! Lord knows those two went at it like rabid, territorial animals when they were supposed to be recovering from life-changing trauma.
