Great character absolutely squandered by bad writing

So I watched Doctor Mordrid for shits and giggles, but turns out I actually really liked the character a lot and I feel like they totally butchered the potential that they had. He was so cool, and I'm sure a lot of it has to do with Jeff Combs being a fantastic actor, but man the whole movie was just written badly and they totally squandered their chances at greatness here. It was short, paced wrong, and most of the cast was leagues below their main man. They had something with Anton's character, but everything else... Frustratingly bad, imo. Like c'mon, you were so close!
