I just saw someone replying to a tik tok video saying that "ATYD is canon J.K.R authorized it to be published in a book", well my eyes are bleeding, do these supposed marauders fans want to open a Harry Potter book? I need to give a special thanks to the author of this fanfic for destroying the marauders for me.

I remember when I was younger how much I liked these characters, but now the fandom has distorted them to the point where they are unrecognizable, they carry nothing but the name of the books and finding a good characterization is like finding a needle in a haystack. See, there are almost no fanfics that don't bring Sirius/Remus together even when the author says he doesn't feel the romance vibe between the two. Are these writers scared of the increasingly creepy marauder fandom?

Marauders fans should gtfo of the HP fandom cuz they only steal the lore and names from it and don't respect anything else about the characters.

The worst thing is I like Sirius as a character but to find fanfictions that stay true to his canon personality is truly a pain and I wish it wasn't.

the reason they claim it to be is that theyre anti jkr but they come off as homophobic or fujoshis honestly theyre so stereotypical and it does honestly feel like forced representation because them being gay has no impact on their actual personalities, it just replaces them completely with a hyperfemme/hypermasc one. its giving boyfriends the webtoon.

also !!! they dont do anything w the actual canonically gay man in the harry potter series (dumbledore!!!) because hes not as hairless 16 year old twink !!!!

the killing of sirius' character is possibly the massacre of the century and no one talks about it. its never brought up despite it being so fucking massive. he is easily the most complex character in harry potter (with competition with dumbledore, maybe) and is reduced to twink femboy cumdump bitch for his alpha daddy boyfriend like STOP IT !!!! every time i interact with a wolfstar post on tiktok my entire fyp is soft porn like holy ! fucking ! shit ! theres that whole thing of rising porn/sex addicts which are very very young (minors, usually young teenagers) because of how desensitized everyone on the internet is to sexual content but i wont rant abt that here but like - that !! a lot of the content is very obviously either sexual, has dom/sub themes, follows the top/bottom, heteronormative masc/femme dynamic and its !!! icky !!! ugh !!!!

marauders fandom SHOULD gtfo the hp fandom space!! kids are still reading these books for the first time today/getting into the marauders for the first time today and they shouldnt be exposed to romanticized toxic relationships (though honestly thats a problem of the internet)

Let's face it, if James and Sirius actually behaved like brothers, the famous "If it bothers you" moment would go something like this: S: Put it away before Wormtail wets himself. J: Put it away before Wormtail wets himself. S: I mean it. J: I mean it. S: You're such a prat. J: Takes one to know one. S: I hate you. J: I hate you more. (At which point James would throw the Snitch at Sirius and they'd start roughhousing.) Which begs the question: Don't the people claiming James and Sirius are brothers have siblings? Or, an even more important one, is their relationship with their siblings... okay?
