I just saw someone replying to a tik tok video saying that "ATYD is canon J.K.R authorized it to be published in a book", well my eyes are bleeding, do these supposed marauders fans want to open a Harry Potter book? I need to give a special thanks to the author of this fanfic for destroying the marauders for me.

I remember when I was younger how much I liked these characters, but now the fandom has distorted them to the point where they are unrecognizable, they carry nothing but the name of the books and finding a good characterization is like finding a needle in a haystack. See, there are almost no fanfics that don't bring Sirius/Remus together even when the author says he doesn't feel the romance vibe between the two. Are these writers scared of the increasingly creepy marauder fandom?

Marauders fans should gtfo of the HP fandom cuz they only steal the lore and names from it and don't respect anything else about the characters.

The worst thing is I like Sirius as a character but to find fanfictions that stay true to his canon personality is truly a pain and I wish it wasn't.

the reason they claim it to be is that theyre anti jkr but they come off as homophobic or fujoshis honestly theyre so stereotypical and it does honestly feel like forced representation because them being gay has no impact on their actual personalities, it just replaces them completely with a hyperfemme/hypermasc one. its giving boyfriends the webtoon.

really do hate how characters are being stripped of characteristics that make them interesting in the first place.

Remus ran away from his problems, he was a coward, he never stood up for himself because he comes from a disadvantaged position. I love the ancient art of @viria she is one of the few artists who still portray Sirius as he is described in the books. This is an OC of her Roxanne Malfoy, but even back in the day when these arts were created I imagined her as Marlene.

It's impossible not to feel the Sirius Black vibe from the images, his friendship and love with James. And the last image with the marauders (**the correct height of each one is the chef's kiss).

Her art was the reason I got into the Marauders fandom at the time, long before the increasingly OC headcanons about these characters emerged and Wolfstar became something big to the point where anyone who didn't ship this couple would be labeled homophobic. I miss the old fandom, where discussions were much healthier.

** In the books, the character's heights are clearly from tallest to shortest (Sirius, James, Remus, Peter), Sirius is even described as taller than several characters in the books.
