So I haven't watched Arcane but I hear jayvik is about a twink who dooms the world in the pursuit of knowledge and salvation and his partner/coworker ends up having to kill him but that's okay because they decide that what matters is being together one way or another even though the partner really didn't have to stay and could've maybe saved himself.

popping in randomly after almost an entire month just to talk non stop about the tsaritsa again everyone sit down.

specifically just thinking about the implications of tsaritsa's ideals originally being about love + the abandonment of those ideals to complete her goal of, presumably, destroying Celestia or whatever she's cooking up. to the point even her people don't love her and I probably don't even remember a time her ideals were of love. now it's all just ice and snow and cold.

which makes romantic fics w her even funnier because she's purposely removed this part of herself and suddenly reader walks into teyvat like they own the place (they do) and I can only imagine her reaction. angry, probably. because why you? what are you doing to her that's caused her hundreds of years of strict adherence to rejecting "love" both from others and to others to just. collapse. absolute shattering of her world and you probably don't even know it bc if nothing else she's good at hiding it. a lot of denial. tries to pick you apart and see what's makes you so different.

and oh she just hates it. she loathes it.

basically one sided enemies to lover trope because she can't stand you for a while but if you stick around she starts warming up to you and it makes it WORSE. so much worse. tries to distance herself but your just everywhere and it gets on her nerves because why does she love you? she isn't capable of love, not anymore. she thought she was.

g-d forbid one of the harbingers or PIERRO notices she'd never live it down. might even consider the implications of just killing you (she doesnt). worse if you know about it and act like a brat she will lose her damn mind

just the tsaritsa being an absolutely horrible mess internally.

I have a problem

I'm falling on the rabbit hole of the batfamily, most espeficially the x reader fanfics and headcanons, and it's turning into a hyperfixation that's consuming me. I'm not even joking, i've been these two last days obsessively writing in my mind a full au of yandere!batfam x neglected!reader (yes, it's the most common and everyone has seen it already but HUSH). I hate my brain. I'm not even that deep into the dc universe, haven't been in several years. I'm team Marvel ffk

The worst part is that it's not even a deeply defined plot, like my current proyect. I just have the vibes and random scenarios and headcanons about the mc, and a bunch of cliches from all the batfam x neglected! reader put together in a mix. My arcane playlist isn't helping either. And recently I've played Watch Dogs Legion again and it's only giving me inspiration for this au.

So warning: Maybe I'll post a few things about this to get it out of my brain, because I can't be the only one suffering here. Don't worry to those who follow my other writing, I have no intention of abandoning it (not when I have already everything planned), but it's going to take slower than anticipated.

not to invite fresh madness into my inbox but I'm really confused there's Lando fans (possibly "fans") out there hating wildly on Andrea Stella when Lando himself credits a huge amount of the team's and his own success to Andrea's leadership.

if I still wrote about F1 I'd definitely like to write a piece about how leaders like Andrea Stella and Ayao Komatsu, Laurent Mekies and to a certain extent James Vowles are showing a very different, much more technical, much more sensitive side to the sport. I don't think it will be a bad thing at all if more teams seek out an engineer who's learned leadership skills to head them up, rather than a business guy who's learned to play politics.

like yeah haha funny Steiner said wanker on DTS but actually the whole Gordon Ramsey coked up swearing at employees shit was unpleasant in high-end kitchens and definitely is part of the toxic culture in F1. having these softly spoken, sensible guys at the heads of teams is necessary for the sports' survival and I'm very glad that there's a trend overall leaning towards them and away from Horner or Wolff clones. you can see it in the results, too.

anyway, I think Andrea is a very good, very interesting team principal and that his quiet defence of both his team and his drivers has been incredibly important this year. I honestly think he did what he could to both manage expectations of a drivers' title (it has never been likely that Lando would get it, only just about mathematically possible) and to help Lando with it. and McLaren have been really targeted by other teams about their car, under suspicion even when its turned out directives weren't aimed at them; it was important Andrea was able to deflect and shut down those accusations.

I have a lot of issues with McLaren as an organisation and for sure friggin' Zak Brown but I honestly think Andrea Stella is a very healthy leader for an F1 team. so much so it's almost surprising he's in an F1 team. and Lando is clearly very appreciative of that. (Andrea also clearly really loves Lando and realises what a good driver he has, absolutely mystified by the theories he wants him out when he's pushed several times to get Lando to sign a longer contract)

I have no plans of ever touching it in Bhavan and Jyothika’s story (mainly cause I am enjoying my blog being peaceful) but the drow twin courtesans did upset me quite a bit. And Halsin’s rather…inappropriate comment he makes in the game during you meeting the twins also upset me? Like a lot? Like it was hitting just way too close to home/toeing to a lot of what I’ve dealt with in the past with men lol

tbh I get kind of annoyed when people say they didn't like Ani (or haven't even given it a chance) because they never saw or disliked star wars, because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who doesn't care for Batman outside of HMB, or for the Oregon Trail game, or (most of us) who have come to despise Harry Potter, but all of those musicals have still gotten so much love. don't get me wrong, it's okay if Ani isn't your thing, but to just say 'yeah I'm not interested in Star Wars' feels a bit weird to me. because really the only criticism I ever see about the show is that people didn't get the jokes because they didn't know Star Wars (and I can go on a whole different rant about that because the STAR WARS-star wars jokes are like 5-10% of the comedy), or that it felt weird to not have the actors singing on stage. I have never seen people criticise the story or characters or anything, so to ignore the whole 2 hour parody show because you aren't interested in the source material feels kind of superficial

also this isn't an invitation to bash Ani in the notes. you can have your reasons to dislike it but if you feel the need to share them you can make your own post.

Does Jay sometimes tell Kaida stories to help her fall asleep? Did he ever tell her the story of Jack the Rabbit that Wu Lloyd told, where the moral was never to trust a snake and Kaida then thought the book was freaking racist? xD How would Kaida react to flying on a real dragon? :D How would Jay react if he ever met Kaida's biological parents?

Kaida actually asked Jay to read her bedtime stories quite often under the excuse that she needed to improve her Ninjargon reading, but it was because she found it entertaining to have Jay read in such different voices and doing bad, exaggerated accents to make her laugh. Plus he often changed parts of the story and the names of the characters even when re-reading the same book.

ahsjs ah yes, definitely Jay, who probably still has prejudices against snakes just like in s1, would read that story to Kaida only for her to point out confused at the end: ... Wait, don't you have fangs and a snake hiss? (and so Jay came to the conclusion that a snake must have bitten him in those years that he doesn't remember.) I think that eventually there are snakes working in the Administration would change his view of them a bit, but I see him still having this deep-rooted distrust.

I've left everything regarding Kaida's biological parents ambiguous, except for the fact that it's obvious that they didn't care about Kaida's condition once they left her, and knowing how impulsive Jay is, he'd probably be awfully hostile towards them, and his first reaction would be to tell them to fuck off. I don't see him being able to exchange a word with them without yelling/swearing at them. ALTHOUGH on some level he would understand if Kaida wanted to confront them directly, so he'd offer her the chance to have closure with them if they ever showed up, even if he's against them seeing her again.

saw a bit of the one piece fan letter (?) animation thingy and god that style, the way it was animated and the different perspective (it was the bit with the marine guy ar marineford, possibly not even the full part) felt so .. different and refreshing, and i didnt even watch it with the sound

one piece has long lost me, it was my fandom before i got into zelda but around whole cake island i stopped reading/watching and with the reveal about luffys fruit it was the last nail in the coffin for me- still that animation is somethign else ....... almost makes me sad bc it looked so much more interesting than the actual thing is (to me)
