Okay so I have my little hc that Annabeth goes on de-stressing walks daily and walks past this one house and eyes a lemon tree in the front yard. One day, the kind old woman living there is outside when Annabeth passes by and talks to her about it because she noticed her interest in her tree. She asks her if she wants to take a couple of lemons and Annabeth does because lemons are like a natural spider repellent. And now it’s routine to pick a few lemons from the tree when she passes by and she even bakes the lady some lemon treats once in a while to show her appreciation:)

annabeth looks intimidating and severe at first but then you find out she’s secretly just a nerd waiting to tell you all about her special interest, and that she actually can’t sit still, she’s just good at hiding it through tiny stims like pen clicking, finger picking etc! she was also actually failing school a bit, cause she had no motivation to study when she could be researching her favourite topics (hence her eventual decision to start scheduling, to combat it)!

random question but.

What would Percy and annabeth reaction the existence of the diving bell spider a spider that lives underwater by making air bubbles from webs to breathe in and they make webs underwater.

All I can think about is this is like the Misty from Pokemon situation. Loves Water Pokemon and HATES (FEARS) Bug type Pokemon....its going to be a very complicated and mixed feelings... like Dewspider.

(see what I did there? Cause Diving Bell spiders are the inspiration for Dewspider? Alright, that's my pokemon moment).

Percy wouldn't have a problem with the Diving Bell spiders mostly cause they're technically aquatic creatures? and its sort of cool and he can appreciate it the evolution the spider undertook to survive.

But Annabeth? Oh hell no, she's not going to go near bodies of water outside of a man-made pool or bathroom. A bit of an extreme situation but it's rather justified considering. It's spider, they are literally Athena's demigods' monsters and banes of existence. If they were any bigger or deadlier, Athena demigods would be very reduced... Doesn't matter if they're aquatic or not. All arachnids spiders are a HUGE RED FLAG.

If they do encounter one, there's a chance that Percy could persuade it to not go after his girlfriend and to respect her boundaries. If not, well there's always killing it. Cause he's not going to take that chance of the Diving Bell spider biting his girlfriend, or any of them for that matter, because Diving Bell spider bites are very painful, causing vomiting and fevers. So if they're going to attack Annabeth with one spider or numerous spiders, he's not going to put her in danger. Absolutely zip na-dah, no.

Good thing they're only native in Europe and Asia.

that moment in tlh when annabeth has an exact timestamp down to the second for just how long she'd been looking for percy makes me wonder if she always has an internal clock for everything. and like. this is further reinforced when she's timed percy's morning routine with a minute to spare in cotg. or in tlt!book when she used physics to calculate the best time to jump off the boat in the thrill ride of love. call it "scheduling" and "time management" if you wanna. all i'm saying is owls have an internal biological clock and it isn't improbable to assume annabeth inherited that trait from her mother, the patron of owls herself.

Sally hears about Annabeth long before meeting her—everything from casual “Annabeth emailed me!” to long disjointed explanations of their quest to Hades, how she saved his life, how amazing and smart she is. It’s obvious how much Percy cares about his new friend from how he talks about her. When he prints out the photo Annabeth emailed him and sticks it on his binder, Sally smiles knowingly to herself. Percy's never had a crush before.

When she finally meets Annabeth, the girl in front of her doesn’t match the descriptions Percy gave at all. The Annabeth from his stories is fearless and unstoppable, the smartest person in the room and she knows it. The Annabeth that Sally first meets is quiet and reserved and almost overly polite. She expected Percy was a bit biased, but not this biased.

Later, she needles it out of Percy: how Annabeth’s father and step-mother treated her like a burden, how she ran away when she was 7. Sally decides right then and there that Annabeth is going to be hers. She tells stories of her own brash youth, she extends all the care in the world to this girl. She does everything in her power to hammer into Annabeth's head that she has a home with the Jacksons, that she will always be not just welcome, but wanted here.

Slowly but surely, Annabeth starts to believe it. Of course, Annabeth has always thought Sally was a good mom, has always envied Percy’s relationship with her. But it takes her awhile to realize that Sally’s unconditional love could ever extend to her—she’s never had a parent or parent figure like that before.

But they really bond when Percy goes missing.

Annabeth goes to Sally's apartment to tell her, clearly expecting Sally to get angry, to blame her. Instead, Sally wraps her up in a tight hug, and they cry together, and Sally invites her back again and again the entire time Percy is gone for tea and cookies and comfort. They talk for hours at a time, about Percy, about the search, of course, but also about Annabeth's schoolwork and her parents, about Paul, and Sally's writing career. In truth, Sally needs the comfort and support just as much as Annabeth, if not more. They get through those eight months together.

And one day, years in the future, Annabeth and Percy come over for dinner, all sly smiles and conspiratorial glances, clearly holding back news, until after dinner, when Annabeth beams and shows off the shiny new ring on her left hand.

"Sally--" Annabeth starts to say. Sally cuts her off with a shake of her head, eyes full of happy tears.

"Call me Mom."

did the show just delete the fact that percy was a wanted criminal in the entirety of the lightning thief? gabe gave an interview, blaming percy for sally's dissappearence, which made him the primary suspect. like the police was after him when they blew up the bus and his iconic 'my stepdad is a really sweet person' speech to a journalist after jumping from saint monica arc, people conspiring that they were manipulated into a t*rrorist group after his fight with ares. like????? where's all that?? where's the good stuff???

Currently loosing my mind thinking about Percy and Annabeth being Perseus and Andromeda reincarnated and them being actual Greek soulmates that find each other in every life, the perfect match……..that’s why Aphrodite was so invested in their love life in particular because Persephone let it slip at a party on Olympus that Perseus and Andromeda went for their third life to reach the Isle of the Blessed and that’s why their lives have been so hard and traumatic in comparison to other demigods’ lives because this is their final trial before eternal paradise

I think more fics should include lil bits of southern accent coming from characters from the south.

I mean already talked about the big three boys and them all having a partner from the south. But add Frank in there who's not even from the US and they all just starring like :0

Hazel's having a New Orleans accent is *slept* on y'all.

Which, also means on the Argo II anytime they were discussing and accents might've go thicker as they spoke faster you had the other four just starring like "mhm-yep-"

But like you also had a new yorker and a Canadian there as well as a guy that was raised by wolves so- accents must've been interesting on that ship XD
