Prior to reading the BSD manga I saw all the people saying that mangazai is better than animezai and thought that there couldn’t really be that much of a difference
There totally is, now that I’m making my way through the manga. Mangazai is so expressive and feels so much more dynamic. Don’t get me wrong animezai is great too but he feels more emotionless (other than when he’s tweaking, I guess)
In the manga he clearly changes demeanor when he’s being intimidating, playful, reflective, etc. And while he does do that in the anime to some extent, it just feels toned down
