W and “Animatronic” Testing

Brought W in tonight to test the “animatronic” (my body) system again. He went to work as soon as he entered, switching between controlling the form via standing in it’s space and/or “shrinking down” to crawl inside the form to assess the “wiring/robotics”. He charted the experience down on paper as he went, which is cataloged under the cut below.

Most of the testing involved movement of each limb or section of the body. Blink test, jaw open/close test, standing test, etc. He has a specific process he does each time, all of which he catalogs on paper (and is very careful to accurately date). A lot of the tests were similar to ones seen in the VR FNAF game or Security Breach, at least in regard to the visuals he was sending, but others were his own unique design. Overall, he found very little to fix, which surprised him. He did, however, find one major part of the torso that needed attention, to which he tested rearranging the wires before becoming confused over why it was still acting up. At one point, he asked L to come in and assess it, where upon L pulled out a wire tangle mess and replaced it with new ones. Before L could even shut the “control panel”, W shoved him aside and assessed what L did before seemingly approving, shutting the panel lid, and carrying on with experiments alone.

Once W was satisfied with movement tests, he moved onto testing the ability to write. He did this by sitting in the same space as the “suit” and proceeded to have a written conversation with a handler next to him. Then... he spoke! Very little and very quietly, but he did indeed speak. He commented that he did not like not having an accent, and that he could tell I felt strange whenever he spoke through me. Eventually, he decided to switch places with L, whom started to write and speak with the handler. His speech was also quiet at first, but after a few minutes, L was able to speak for a good 20-30min at normal volume before leaving.

Overall, W’s attempt at “fixing” the animatronic worked. I am now able to speak when channeling. I am uncertain if “fixing” or “improving” is the appropriate word for what he did, but regardless, I am pleased with the results. Now it’s just a matter of further practice.
