Downtown owl by Chuck Klosterman has been on my reading list for probably a decade. I've read most all of closterman's books on music and I always enjoyed them. So the summer I decided I would go ahead and tackle Downtown Owl.

I got about halfway through and right in the middle of the book apropos of absolutely nothing was the description of torture and killing of someone's pet cat.

It was graphic and disgusting and added absolutely no nothing to the story. It had no reason to be there. I was so disgusted I just stopped the book right there.

The book honestly was not that good to begin with, definitely not up with some of the other books of his I have read. And in the end I paid $17 just to be completely and utterly disgusted.

This was not a horror novel, this was supposed to be a humor novel. And to have that jump out, out of nowhere is absolutely Unforgivable.

Crypto Scammer Sean Kirtz Arrested For Animal Torture In Boca Raton

Kirtz Ordered To Pay $405K In Crypto Suit, Then Sued By Local Real Estate Firm. Now Animal Torture Arrest.

BOCA RATON, FL - Boca Raton resident Sean Kirtz is facing an animal torture charge following his arrest by Boca Raton Police on Wednesday. Kirtz, of St. Andrews Blvd., was booked into jail at 11:49 on Wednesday morning. He was released on $3,000 bond just before 2 a.m. Thursday.

Kirtz, in late 2021, was accused of not taking care of “Isabella,” a dog described as a “black/brown juvenile Australian Shepherd mix,” after a babysitter discovered the animal in poor condition and took it to Boca Veterinary Clinic. The clinic reported Isabella’s poor condition to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control which initiated procedures to take custody of the animal.

According to a court filing: “Dr. Ana Poeck, DVM, testified that she examined Isabella (aka Izzy) on December 15, 2021. She testified that Izzy was underweight, unkempt, she had an ear infection, she had scabs on her face and head, had bruising in her groin area, and had wounds on her body. Dr. Poeck testified that Isabella was in, “all kinds of discomfort.” Isabella was very thirsty and hungry; she drank a whole bowl of water in the clinic and readily ate all the treats offered. Dr. Poeck testified that it was very unusual for a well-cared for pet to be that thirsty and hungry. Most of the diagnostics and medications suggested by Dr. Poeck were declined. Dr. Poeck testified that she called Mr. Kirtz but he did not seem interested in speaking to her.”

“On December 26, 2021, Officers from ACC responded to Mr. Kirt’s home located at 20913 Saint Andrews Boulevard, Boca Raton, Florida 33433 in response to the complaint. ACC Officer Mitchell testified that he and Officer Arguelles inspected Isabella and noted that she had obvious wounds on her arms, legs, and back. Mr. Kirtz did not know what was wrong with Isabella and wasn’t able to provide any veterinary records showing medical care for her.”

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control took Isabella and has nursed her back to health. On February 7th, Palm Beach County Judge Edward Garrison entered an order prohibiting Kirtz from possessing animals. Read the complete order, below. It was not immediately clear if Kirtz’s arrest on Wednesday is part of this ongoing case, or a new matter now being prosecuted. We will update with the arrest report once it is released.

Sean Kirtz was accused of running a Crytpo Currency scam in 2018 and ordered by a federal judge to pay $405,000 to a disgruntled investor. He was subsequently sued by “Florida’s Best Realty Services” after allegedly posting negative reviews when the company claimed he frauduently filed a lease application.

Another update for everyone!

An "adult" in fandom spaces throwing a fit over someone's age and the fact that they're anti-harassment. Interestingly, a quick scroll through their followers and following shows that a large portion of them are children. Gives sexual predator. Just like all antis.

That isn't all however! This person in question seems to have people who record and photograph themselves torturing cats and posting them on social media in their following! We all know how twitter works, your followers and followings are based on things you interact with on the site. Which means this person partakes in this kind of disgusting and horrible shit! They they think they're the good guy in this situation? They get off to animals being tortured for fun for fuck sakes.

Loudclan - Moon 29: Part 3

Things are gonna get a bit darker than they have been in the second half of this moon. Be warned and check the tags! Happy Spooky Season!

The sun is ever-present in the summer sky. It sits vigil alongside the clan. Soon after the bodies arrive at camp a patrol sets out to track the rogues, but finding that they have already crossed Shadedclan's territory, it is decided that the opportunity for revenge has passed. They'll double patrols and wait to see if the murders try to cross the territory on their way home. Many are upset, but few argue. As the sky begins to lose it's duskiness, the vigil is ended, the bodies buried, and the clan cats left to filter back into camp at their own pace. Wildfirecry excuses himself to clear his head, while Dancepaw attempts to bridge the gap with the only brother he has left.

Seeing Rosehiptree will be left alone in the burial place, Songpaw decides to stay for a while.

It takes Wildfirecry three days to find the farm cats.

There are Forestclan traditions that were never passed on to Loudclan. Rites that were deemed too dark to touch the newborn clan and thus were cast aside. But here, miles past the valley territories, they live on.

Wildfirecry returns to Loudclan's camp a week after the vigil having lost two lives. No one questions where he has been. The scent of rancid dried blood still lingers despite a fresh coat of oil, and his wounds, while closed, are unmistakably fresh. The clan returns to an uneasy normalcy.

[Whoo! I did it! This moon was INCREDIBLY hard for me. The first part relies so much on my dialogue skills, which, is the part of comic-making that comes least easily to me, and the second part is super experimental, which was so much fun, but also mentally tiring. (On that note please let me know if it's like impossible to see. I meant for it to be a bit difficult to make out, but it's hard to gage between my ipad and my laptop whether it will be readable for all of you. I can fiddle with the color grading tomorrow if necessary.) And finally, Rosehip's experience here is really, really close to my heart. That means that her scenes here are ones that I really wanted to write, but also that I had to take a couple of breaks to make sure that I wasn't wearing myself down too much, so sorry that it took longer than I thought and I haven't been able to answer as many asks as I had hoped to. Anyway, despite early difficulty I had a GREAT time finishing this moon up and I'm happy with how it turned out! Songpaw and Rosehiptree are keeping the trauma dump to best friends pipeline alive and I love them for it. Erminekit is kinda being a brat but he really just wants to be there for his best friend and everyone is getting in the way! He doesn't really get the concept of "giving someone space". As far as Moon 30 I have a science class that I'd like to get finished by the end of the month, so it will probably be a minute. Hope you guys enjoy!]
