"who feel as though they should die, whether in a certain way or in general." Sounds suicidal to me, but I've never claimed to fully understand anything. The rest sounds interesting, and I can see why a zombie overall would feel this way.

I don't suggest acting upon it. In fact, I've actively discouraged during anything besides things to damper the dysphoria that comes with living. Individuals with this type of atypical dysphoria may experience euphoria from things like:

Being cold

Holding still

Sleeping

Holding their breath

The biological human mind is a fascinating organ that can make connections and identity with anything.

There are mental conditions that can lead to this identity, such as Walking Corpse Syndrome. This is not invalidating the identity, but in a way validating it.

I have followers who can give more personal experiences with this, but from an outside view, this is what comes to mind.

it's always wild to me when people make callout/negative posts about darius and lilith and alador and sometimes even eda going "wow, they're complicit in child endangerment and abuse." not wild to me that this is being acknowledged, in fact it's delightful when fans of these characters do it (god i love it when we acknowledge our faves' worst qualities). but VERY wild to me that some people apparently think this... like.... hasn't occurred to me before...??? i guess???

Usopp stomped downstairs, fully intending for the neighbours to hear him. He finally stopped in front of a tall, worn wooden door and started rapping against it furiously.

Two seconds later the door swung in to show his pipsqueak of a neighbour. "You stole Kaya's doll!" Usopp yelled the second he saw the other boy.

"No I didn't! I hate that doll!" Luffy yelled right back, so Usopp shoved the doll Kaya had found instead of her doll in the kids face. "You did! And you replaced it with this cheap one!"

"I didn't do anything! The doll changes on its own!" Luffy replied.

"Yeah, right! Where is it?! You made Kaya cry!" Usopp shouted, shoving his way past the surprised other kid. The interior was gross, piles of papers and dishes and laundry everywhere.

Luffy grabbed his arm before he could even think of rummaging in the mess for Kaya's doll. "I didn't take it! You're not allowed in!" He said, and for a kid that was the reason Usopp's lip was still split, he looked more nervous than anything.

Usopp squinted. "Why? So I won't find Kaya's doll?"

"The doll changes! Your sister's the one that stole Sabo's doll!" Luffy insisted, and started trying to pull Usopp by the arm out of the apartment, but he resisted.

"She's not my-- If it was someone else's why did you throw it in Kaya's window in the first place?!"

"Because it changed!" Luffy shouted, snatching the doll out of Usopp's hand and shoving it in his face. "First it was Sabo, then it was Kaya, now it's you!"

Usopp blinked. He thought the doll was just cheaper, since its hair was frizzy and full of knots and its clothes were patchy and dull and it had a frown on its face instead of the pretty hair and face and clothes Kaya's doll had. But its overalls were a lot like a pair he had in his closet, and Klahador didn't know how to comb his hair so maybe it did look that knotted and maybe that miss-stitch on the mouth was like the split lip Luffy gave him three days ago.

"How..?" Usopp asked under his breath, squinting and noticing more and more similarities between him and the doll.

"The button lady made it."

Usopp paled. He'd told Kaya every part of the other place except the buttons for eyes. "How do you know about the other world?"

Luffy glared at Usopp so hard he thought he might punch him again. "The button lady killed Sabo."

Usopp stared.

That was ridiculous.

it's interesting to go back to the start of Seafoam and see Thala before she heads down the long, winding path of vengeance. Her personality at the start leans more towards her being a lover, not a fighter, and she only eventually becomes a fighter because she's a lover.

Because, where I'm at in Part I, she's sweet and she's grieving and she's scared. She's just trying to take care of the people she loves (namely her mother, but when she heads to the capitol in Part II and befriends the other Stoli and gets close to Solera they're included in that category, too). But, that being said, it's not like the anger that fuels her later on comes out of nowhere in her personality. There's like an underlying current of it that she occasionally taps into when the situation calls for it--which is when someone she loves is being hurt.

I guess, now that i'm thinking about it, she's already on the path to vengeance, she's just not aware of it yet.

what measures do you think carmen and gray take to protect the kiddos, like their kids are the children of two super thieves who are despised by the worlds oldest criminal organisation, their maternal grandfather is also hated and then there's the added grudge of their biological maternal grandfather like there's a lot of bad family blood.

i have no idea how gray is gonna react because he's a big "use the resources available to him no matter how shady" person oh no...lmao [its ok he's getting better standards...slightly] and his arc has him playing the more active part in defending his love...so um...if it involves the kids?

and carmen in general is very good at mostly keeping herself off the radar but VILE has shown themselves very good at capturing people they at least think is important to carmen + the train with brunt and the cleaners...gah..

but very big into imposing on chief to constantly keep them off cameras [like imagine how upset that would make the kiddos at the do as i say not as i do couple when they wanna be good show off thieves too </3], definitely taught them to be prepared for a fight, had ivy hook them up with drones [offense hardly taken because they love them so much], direct line to player , maayyyybe this makes carmen hesitant to let them go to school for a bit? [idk if she homeschools because hey she can teach them a lot about the world since she goes all over it or because of the way she talked to sonia and jokes to player that she's all about education + really wanted friends on the isle if she wishes she had a normal school experience], RC definitely 0____0 during babies first missions until they're confident they can take care of themselves [actually maybe a conversation between carmen and kiddos about wanting to have faith in their abilities and carmen is like o-o ] [gray is also called out for his chill attitude supposedly when he was literally yanking wires and knocking out people before they even got near the site]

situation wise it would be very bad if the kids did get captured...since RC tends to just beeline to the solution that gets them out efficiently regardless of traps or danger to themselves

but in the end RC do lean more to just trusting that they prepared the kids well enough... so lol if they just arrive to a headquarters of the VILEnappers in chaos like <3 those are the babies

god thinking about the song translation thing reminded me that, for the longest time i thought the French adaptations of the English disney songs were like, mostly trying to be okay, but then i discovered the English lyrics of "I'm Still Here" from Treasure Planet and ended up being EXTREMELY annoyed about the fact the French song COMPLETELY betrays the Englsih song. Like it's not just "awkwardly translated" it just spites at the face of the theme of the English song i'm NEVER recovering, this is what we get for getting a famous guy to rewrite the song instead of a pro i fUCKING SWEAR-
