Did.. did Charlie just say... Alastor?

You felt someone poke your face, multiple times, all at once, "Hey, Hey, miss bandage face, you good?"

You blink rapidly, being pulled out of your stupor and laugh awkwardly, "Ah haha, uh yeah. Yup, I'm good... Haha, thanks Angel.."

Angel just squints at you, not convinced of your act at all but just sighs and says, "Alright, whatever you say, weirdo.." and then returns back to chatting with Husk.

Vaggie, who was sitting next to you struck up a conversation, "Are you really sure you're okay to be up and around already? You look like you saw a ghost or something."

You briefly glanced at the radio that was sitting on the mantle on the wall before returning your attention to Vaggie, "Yeah, being up was much better than sitting doing nothing, I thought I was going to waste away if I didn't do something."

Vaggie sighs and nods her head, "I know the feeling."

"And.. I swear I thought I heard Charlie mention the name Al-"

"Alastor! You're back! We have a new guest staying at the hotel! Come say hi!" Charlie shot out of her seat as soon as she saw Alastor's shadows start to manifest, signaling his return.

You felt your blood run cold as your suspicions were confirmed. Yes, she just said Alastor. How common could that name be down here? This is just a coincidence, surely- Of all names!

"My, my dear Charlie, you seem quite excited! I haven't seen you bouncing off the walls like this in ages!" Alastor chuckles as he allows Charlie to practically drag him over by the wrist to the group.

He sounds like a radio host...

Your breath starts to quicken as Charlie guides him over to you, his aura feels so oppressive, unlike any Overlord you had ever met before... But what made your hair really stand on the back of your neck was the static noise that filled the air as he got closer. You felt your eyes shake and your gut sink in your stomach.

What was this feeling?

You gulp and look up, eyes wide, looking like a deer in headlights as you make eye contact with this "Alastor".

"Go on! Introduce yourself!" You felt Charlie nudge you excitedly, in an attempt to nudge you out of your frozen state.

On his face, a large, creepy grin/smile- (if you could even call it that) grew even larger on his face - a feat you didn't even know was possible. You felt like you should be scared but then... It dawned on you.

That feeling in your gut dissipated instantly and it felt like a weight got suddenly lifted off your chest.

This was Alastor. This was your Alastor.

Tears start rolling down your face uncontrollably as your body is racked with sobs.

"Heyyy! Hey! It's okay, (y/n)! I know Al can be a wee bit intimidating sometimes but I promise he's not a bad guy! Well... mostly.. haha..." Charlie trails off with a nervous chuckle as she scrambles around the lobby to find you some tissues to dry your tears.

Upon hearing your name said out loud, a loud record scratch filled the air.

"Haha... ha...Charlie, dearest! My, you'd think the years are catching up to me! Was that some sort of joke? Why, I didn't know you wanted to become a comedian! Did you say.. (y/n)? That must be a mistake. I've only ever known one person by that name and they surely couldn't have ended up in Hell of all places!" Alastor chuckles, the laugh track coming from his staff warping as he hovers over Charlie with an intimidating aura- thinking she was playing some sort of sick joke on him.

Charlie whips around to see Alastor up in her face and then she scrambles back, "Woah! What? Alastor! Gods, no, why would I joke about our new guest? That would go against everything i'm trying to do here!"

Alastor's gaze darts over to you, "You see, I think this '(y/n)' and I need to have a chat..." His eyes narrow as he makes quotation marks with his fingers as he says your name.

He walks towards you and grabs your wrist with force, finger like claws starting to dig into your arm- despite protest from Charlie and Vaggie to let you go- to stop harassing their new guest because you were still quite injured and fragile. Even Angel and Husk got up from their seats at the bar after hearing the commotion in the lounge and started yelling at him to stop hurting you because it was very apparent that you were in pain with how rough he was handling you.

Then, with a snap, he teleports you and himself up to his radio tower- away from all the commotion.

Alastor slams the door shut with a fury that you've never seen before, and locks it to make sure you won't even try to make a feeble attempt at an escape.

He was powerful. Alastor knew he didn't really need to lock the door because with his power, he could vaporize you before you even thought of making a dash for the door. He did it as an intimidation tactic because he knew the fear it instilled in his prey.

Now, walking towards you, he pointed his staff at your chest, and leaned in close to your face. Strange static and symbols fill the air as he and his antlers grow in size, towering over you.

"Now... who are you really? You get one chance to make a feeble excuse before I kill you and broadcast your screams for all of Hell to hear, for making a mockery of my dear (y/n) by taking the name of my beloved and masquerading around Hell- thinking you can show up here like this to try and mess with ME- tHe RaDiO DEMON."

You see dark shadows and tentacle-like masses appear, and you stumble backward until your back hits a wall, never breaking eye contact with him- your lip quivering in fear.

"I.. But- It... is me...hun... I missed you so much..." You whisper with a somber smile that's quickly warped into an ugly crying face. The unrelenting tears keep rolling down your face, and your left hand reaches up towards his even more demonically altered form that towers over you in a desperate attempt to get him to recognize you.

Before you can touch his face, one of his hands snatches your wrist and pulls it closer to himself to examine the sparkle that caught his eye as you started to reach out to him, roughly jostling you and lifting you up in the air by your wrist as a result.

You wince briefly at the pain in your wrist and shoulder joints as he examines your hand when you remember you were wearing your ring. You never took it off all these years.

You could hear his breath hitch just ever so slightly over the static as he gently put you down and let your feet touch the floor again.

Alastor realized that the ring on your left ring finger was the exact one he had gotten for you- the one he put on your ring finger right before he buried you right the night you were brutally assaulted and murdered back when he was alive.

He slowly morphed back into his "normal" form. (Normal for Hell, that is, this was an entirely new look for him from what you remembered when he was alive).

The shock dawning on him that it really was you was apparent as he took a few steps back, still holding your hand. He looked at you in disbelief, the look of pure shock was just like how you had looked at him initially in the lobby.

Then suddenly, he pulled you into a warm embrace, "My dearest... I am so sorry for hurting you. My darling... whatever are you doing here? Someone like you doesn't belong here!"

Now, holding your face in both of his hands, he wiped your tears with the most gentle expression on his face, a stark contrast from the nightmarish demonic one just a moment ago. and you could almost swear you could see the slightest traces of a misty look in his eyes as he held you.

His claw-like fingers slightly dug into your face, but not enough to hurt, as he examined your new appearance, his gaze turning from soft into a hardened expression once again. Almost snarling, he began to ask you again, "Tell me, darling, tell me the name of the gods forsaken angel bastard that cast you down from Heaven. I will find a way to make them pay. I'll make them ALL pay for this... NO ONE will ever harm you again..." The strange symbols and glitchy auras were threatening to come out again.

You sniffled, still trying to calm down your tears, which immediately made him halt in his tracks and turn his attention back to you at this moment.

You looked at the ground, and you knew you couldn't avoid this conversation forever, "Hun... I... Before we met... there was something I never told you-" Before you could finish, you felt your legs start to wobble underneath you- the adrenaline was starting to fade and you were starting to feel some of the pain from your previous injuries come back to you.

"Please, my love, take a seat first." He guided you to a set of a table and two chairs. Ever the gentleman, he pulled your chair out for you and helped made sure you were alright before he sat down across the table from you.

You put your hands on the table, a signal he immediately picked up on as a sign to envelop your hands in his. You looked at him in the eyes with a look of shame that scrunched up your face as you prepared to tell him the truth, "Alastor, hun... I never went to Heaven..."

You swore you heard another record scratch before a quiet hum of static filled the air again. Alastor chuckled, "Oh my dear, never lost your sense of humor, I see!"

A look of even deeper shame washes over your face as you break eye contact with him and stare at his hands that held your's on the table, "It's true. Alastor..." You sigh deeply, feeling an aching pain in your chest, not only from your injuries but also from the mental anguish you were dealing with as you shakily begin to explain everything about your past. Your shitty family and messed-up inlaws. Your narcissistic, unloving, and abusive ex-husband that you killed.

You painstakingly revealed every single minute detail. You told him everything.

Happy Path to Nowhere 2nd Anniversary! I was watching the stream and the last part, the cat animation, made my heart melt so I wanted to request something! Could you perhaps write a little story where like the plot line of the whole surprise the Chief thing happens with female Chief? The last scene with the three, Chief, Hella, and Hecate, made me scream from cuteness overload and had to muffle it since it’s midnight where I live. 😭

I wish they had the morning call in the Chinese stream too, but a simp could only wish. Or did I miss that part? Was trying to find Angell’s morning call in Chinese since I’m a simp and since I primarily use Chinese voice acting for most of my games.

Characters: Various x fem!reader (Chief) [platonic for Hella, Hecate and other teen/children Sinners]

Type: SFW, Fluff (there is a surprise scene which wasn't in the official video, that's why this is even romantic at all~)

It was a normal day at the MBCC with everyone going about their duties and daily life. But the usual calm was interrupted when Nightingale walked inside the recreational area and asked the Sinners to gather around for an announcement. The ordeal was strange since all announcements were normally made through the speaker and only specified Sinners would be called in for special tasks. Nightingale chose the perfect time she knew everyone would be here so as to involve everyone, and still asked for any absentees to be called.

"Ahem, thank you everyone for heeding to my request. I will get to the point right away. Some may or may not know, next Saturday is Chief's second year in office. It has been a long and hard journey for Chief since her awakening, she has achieved lifelong milestones and made DisCity a safer place for everyone, especially all of you. To show our gratitude and appreciation, we will be holding a celebration for her. So, I'm here to ask you all if there is something you'd like to do for her. I'm sure she'd be very happy to receive something from you."

Everyone immediately perked up with excitement and interest hearing the announcement, some whispers and talks already beginning to form.

"Yes yes! I have a proposal!" Hella raised her hand and came forward, beaming with energy. Her proposal was simple enough, organizing a party with everyone's contribution in something or the other. None of the Sinners had any reason to refuse hence the proposal was quickly accepted and work began soon after. Eirene, Langley and Zoya were appointed as the co-leaders with Hella and Hecate (mostly Hella) leading the whole thing, it was fun for her to order everyone around but they all knew she was simply too excited and wanted everything done perfectly.

Different groups were formed and each given a set of duties. By the end of their planning phase, everyone had a work to do no matter how small or big. The incoming days felt like a hurricane with how busy everyone was and also had to keep the party a surprise, it was difficult to keep it a secret considering how involved you were with the bureau's affairs and caught on to many suspicious things that were being brought in and out. Still, eventually they had prevented any big revelations and kept you sufficiently intrigued.

"Oi, why is the banner not up yet?! We only have 4 hours left!"

Hella shouted, calling EMP and Horo to get on with the work. It was early Saturday morning, the day of the celebration. Fortunately, all necessary props had arrived thanks to Eirene's connections and authority in Eastside, the only thing left was to decorate the venue and make a cake. Cabernet had proposed to call the best pastry chef in DisCity for the cake but Chameleon and a few others suggested to make it themselves so as to make it more special.

Almost everyone participated in the cake making, right from bringing the ingredients to giving a hand in the making process and decorating it. The flavor was decided to be your favorite one and a signature topping was chosen for everyone to show their love for you. However, most didn't anticipate how chaotic the kitchen would become for making a simple cake. There were too many clashing opinions on the choice of frosting, shape, layers etc.

In the end, Nightingale had to step in and sort out the mess by proposing a common ground- 3 layered chocolate cake with vanilla frosting topped with strawberry pieces and chocolate puree around the edges, accompanied with 1 piece of signature topping by everyone. They beamed with pride looking at the finished cake and decorated venue, now all that was left was calling the special guest.

"Good work, everyone! Thank you for cooperating, we have 1 hour until the party so everyone can get ready till then and prepare anything else if they'd like. I'll bring Chief over later." Nightingale announced and some Sinners dispersed away to their cells to get dressed while others went to the cafeteria to have a break after the grueling preparations.

Hecate and Hella were seated together in the cafeteria. Hecate noticed Hella's cheerful demeanour and overall excitement about the event, finding her state quite interesting.

"Hella, why are you doing this?" Hecate suddenly asked.

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"This party.... why are you doing it?"

"H-Huh? Isn't it obvious....?!"

Hecate tilted her head, "Is it?"

Hella looked at her in bewilderment then sighed, "Don't you think she deserves it after all that she has done? It's exactly what Nightingale said when she announced it."

Hecate looked down with a blank expression, "I don't understand it too well. But, if it's like what Chief says to me about resting and taking things easy then...."

"Mm, that's a good enough explanation."

"But I still don't understand why you took charge of this. I didn't think you were the type to do something like this."

Hella looked almost offended and scoffed, "What do you take me for?! Of course, I understand her struggle and hard work for us. Is it so wrong to want to pay her back?"

Hecate pondered for a moment and noticed Hella's pout and slightly reddened face then gave a faint smile, "I think I get it now. I hope she likes it."

Hella grinned, "Of course, she will! My choices are the best!"

They smiled at each other before continuing their own work. It was now time for the celebration to begin as Nightingale made her way over to your office. She gently knocked on the door and stepped in to see you swamped with work as usual, likely not even realizing it was your work anniversary.

"Chief, you are required in the recreational area for a bit."

"Oh, is something wrong?"

"Yes, the Sinners are facing some issues. They'd like you to come and resolve it."

You nodded and wasted no time to get up to go. Nightingale always admired your work ethics and dedication towards the Sinners' wellbeing, she really wanted today to be a day for you to feel appreciated for all your efforts. You were walking through the corridor when you noticed everything was quieter and empty than usual, the guards seemed to be missing and barely any noise came from all around.

You reached the recreational area and tried to listen to any sounds considering there should be a ruckus but everything was too quiet. You looked over at Nightingale silently standing behind you with her usual expression then sighed and opened the door. All of a sudden, you were blinded by bright lights causing you to squint your eyes followed by the sound of each and every Sinner speaking their greetings for you.

"Happy 2nd year in office, Chief!~"

When you finally opened your eyes, you saw all the Sinners gathered around in front of you. In the frontmost row were Hella, Hecate, Zoya, Coquelic and Shalom all holding a big cake in their hands. Your mind couldn't comprehend the situation and you took a moment to look around the area until finally realizing what was happening.

"2nd year in office....?" you questioned then looked at Nightingale who was now on your left, standing with everyone with a smile on her face.

"Yes, Chief. Today is the day you were awakened and took charge of the bureau 2 years go."

You suddenly remembered the date and realized it was true, how could you forget the day your life changed forever? You then looked back at the Sinners and became slightly flustered seeing all the preparations they made, especially the beautiful and cute cake right in front of you.

"Hurry up and cut it, Chief! We can't wait to have it!" EMP shouted from behind Hella, making everyone chuckle.

"Thank you everyone, this is.... I-I don't have any words actually, I feel really happy. You all didn't need to do this, really...." you mumbled.

"Hmm, don't be so humble now, Chief~" Coquelic hummed.

"Hehe, indeed. Everyone contributed in this, you should thank their efforts~" Shalom added.

You smiled brightly at everyone then blew the candles and finally cut the cake. Kelvin and Ignis stepped forward to distribute slices to everyone while you were taken inside to sit at a sofa and served some snacks and beverages. All the Sinners formed groups around you and an atmosphere of laughter and celebration commenced. Some time passed and you were chatting with Langley when the sound of plate breaking was heard from across the room.

"A-Ah I'm so sorry, Hella!" EMP desperately apologized to Hella who was currently on the floor, her face covered with pieces of the cake and the plate shattered beside her. It seemed EMP accidentally bumped into Hella and made her fall which caused the cake to stain all over her face. Hella looked at EMP with rage and embarrassment as everyone stared at her, some even laughing at the ordeal though nobody meant any harm.

Hecate was the one to come forward and offer a tissue to wipe the cake from Hella's face and helped her stand up while Kelvin hurriedly gathered the broken pieces of the plate. You looked at the commotion and quickly made your way over to see Hella snuggled into Hecate's shoulder with tears in her eyes. EMP ran away before you could scold her, you decided to instead comfort Hella. You walked up to them and patted Hella's head, making her look at you.

"Are you okay, Hella? You can have some of my cake instead, and there is still more left that you can have."

You spoke with a smile and Hella sniffled her tears, you then patted Hecate's head too.

"Good job helping her, Hecate."

Hecate felt all warm and fuzzy inside hearing the compliment and simply nodded her head. You had both of them sit on the sofa and brought a new slice of cake then offered a bite to Hella who reluctantly accepted it, deep down you knew she loved this kind of attention.

"T-Thank you, Hecate and idiot Chief...." Hella mumbled, making you softly chuckle and pat her head more.

The sight of you three sitting together this way was quite adorable for some Sinners, giving them the image of a small and loving family with you as the mother of them. Some Sinners couldn't help but feel quite attracted to you, not that they already weren't, but seeing you act like a parent gave them.... fantasies.

"Oh, Chief, she's always so.... aaah, I want her even more now!~" Garofano pondered in a lovey-dovey haze.

"Oh, to have her feed me that way.... And perhaps I'll feed on her too, hehe~" Cabernet pondered, licking her lips.

Such similar thoughts roamed in every woman's head who liked you a bit more than usual, a kind of feeling they'd usually hide but felt overwhelmed by now. The celebration eventually ended by evening and you decided to go to your room to take a nap before continuing with paperwork. You had barely reached your room and begun to change your clothes when a huge commotion occured outside and you went to see what was happening, only to be met by the sight of various Sinners gathered around and arguing over something.

"Hey hey, everyone, what's the matter?" you cautiously asked and tried to calm them down.

"Hmph, always so pretentious in your approach, Hush. Don't forget the MBCC is under my jurisdiction." Langley stately claimed to Shalom who smirked in response.

"You can keep the MBCC under you, everyone knows Chief will be under me~" Shalom retorted.

"How many times have you tried to bribe her, Countess?~" Eirene mocked Chelsea.

"Oh, more than enought times than you have played chess with her, Quinn~" Chelsea retorted.

Everyone seemed to be engaged in some kind of banter with each other and completely ignored your intervention, making you confused and nervous about what the issue was. Coquelic was the first one to act differently. She had been silently standing on the side with Garofano and Sumire behind her and waiting for her turn but seeing the unnecessary trouble, she decided to take matters in her own hands. Her small frame made it easier for her to squeeze in through the crowd and stand in front of you with a sly smirk.

"Ah, Coquelic! What's happen—?!"

Your words were blocked as she suddenly pulled you down near her face by grabbing your chest harness then placed a supple kiss on the left corner of your lips, hard enough to leave a mark of her red lipstick. Everyone instantly became quiet seeing her bold action, some even gasping in surprise.

"Everyone was wasting so much time debating over who'll go first so I took the initiative. You are welcome to come to my room if you want more, Chief~"

Coquelic declared before waving at everybody and walking away, leaving you quite dumbfounded at what just happened. You then looked at everyone else and knew you were in trouble, probably the best kind of trouble, though. As if like dam broke down, everyone lunged at you and pushed you inside your room until you were seated on the edge of the bed and had them hover around you, some even climbing up and going behind you while the rest fought to have space in front.

"Everyone, calm down! Let's do one at a time, okay?!" you proposed a solution but it didn't seem like they were keen on listening.

Garofano and Sumire were first to act following their mentor's steps and placed a kiss on each of your cheeks, leaving a lipstick mark just like Coquelic did. This was followed by Chelsea and Lady Pearl, the latter of them kissing your jaw and the former kissing your forehead, again leaving lipstick marks. Next was Cabernet who acted swiftly to be alone and wasted no chance to kiss your lips, pulling away with a lick and imprinting her lipstick too.

"Hehe, you taste so good, Chief~" Cabernet remarked before being pulled away by Eirene who straddled your lap and held your face to kiss the right corner of your lips, similar to Coquelic's action and also leaving her lipstick mark.

"I'll take more from you later, Chief~" Eirene said with a smirk then got off you and made space for Langley and Chamelon who sat on each side of the bed beside you and examined your face, seemingly finding an empty space for them to make their mark.

"You look adorable, Chief. But you should have left some space for me~" Chameleon teased while sliding her hand down your neck and unbuttoning the first button of your shirt.

"Hmph, such behaviour is intolerable from you, rookie. I expect you in my office later to compensate for this~" Langley stated.

Both of them dived near your exposed neck and kissed on either side, a muffled moan leaving your lips at the overwhelming contact. Just like everyone, their lipsticks were also imprinted on your skin distinctly. Shalom came in next and surprisingly, brought Nightingale along with her who was seemingly standing outside the whole time and watching the ordeal. You could tell Nightingale was clearly embarrassed and reluctant to follow through with her desires, but you pulled her in by her arm to tell her it was okay.

"Oh my, aren't you quite bold with your Adjutant?~" Shalom teased.

Nightingale was too embarrassed to kiss you anywhere other than your forehead, while Shalom kissed near your ear, her breath brushing past making you shudder. Your body was heaving by now with all the sensations you were experiencing, but you could still see more were left. Oak Casket and Raven soon got their turns, the former kissing your hand while the latter kissed your chin. By now, it was difficult to tell who kissed where, but they all knew their special spot.

Some of the last few people were Anne, Serpent, Angell, Bai Yi, Cassia and Eleven- all of them kissing at different spots on your face and neck and leaving their lipstick marks too. At last when it all ended, you practically plopped on the bed with exhaustion and caressed all the kiss marks with your fingers before smiling to yourself and closing your eyes. You were surprised they didn't just tear away your clothes and mark you all over.... perhaps that was saved for some other day.

10. Everyone's just fine with Donnie modding the moon buggy? (362 notes)

It occurred to me that despite being MASSIVE nerds for the Jupiter Jim franchise, the bros seemed awfully chill with Donnie taking an actual on-set moon buggy and modding the hell out of it.

A few people argued with me in the notes that the Turtle Tank is so cool no one could possibly be mad about it and I do think that's fair. The Turtle Tank is easily my favorite thing Donnie made in the show.

9. Splinter and Leo talk post movie (443 notes)

Can you IMAGINE being 601billionlazer and getting this rip for Secret SiIva 5?? You hear the silly blue balls and go oh, haha what fun, what a great little bit Madinstance, you always outdo yourself so its fun to see you've taken a funny step back here - only for the truth to be revealed and all hell to break loose? You hear the backing change and think, I swear I recognize that, there's no way he actually did it - the banjo comes in with a gleefully sinister pluck and reaffirms your suspicions. Madinstance fucking did it. The first proper rip uploaded as part of Season 7 introduced the year with a fucking bomb. I will Never be a Redneck.

And look, I've covered some One-Winged Angel rips on here already, One Winged PSYcho - V​.​S. Sepsyrop and Hen'yoku no Piraman - the latter even being made by Madinstance as well - but I feel like it needs to be stressed how thoroughly deranged this rip in particular is. We ALL know Cotton-Eye Joe, if not the original American country song then ABSOLUTELY the world-famous 1994 Eurodance version - one that, funny enough, was recorded by a Swedish band. Indeeds, its oddly befitting: A culture clash between my homeland, and the nation where a majority of SiIvaGunner's own audience and contributors live - the result is that ALL of us knew well what Cotton-Eye Joe was, a piece of our childhoods for some, or at least for me. Yet its prevalence on SiIvaGunner had been comparatively tame in comparison to that popularity, only appearing in some modest mashups and melodyswaps in Season 1 - seven whole years before Madinstance deployed the nuclear option. Realizing that this overplayed icon of a song even had the ability to be remixed in such a fashion positively blew my mind - I won't sugarcoat it, I will Never be a Redneck completely floored me.

And like, in some ways its to be expected, right? Madinstance is incredible, he continues to show up on here with rips like Initial Deluxe (I've Just Raced on this Course Before) and Fell From a High Place (Reprise) for a reason - his prowess for these large-scale projects feels like it shouldn't even be humanly possible. I remarked back in Hen'yoku no Piraman just how much the recent trend of One Winged Angel rips impresses me, how each one feels as if the ripper is truly showcasing their worth whilst dedicating it all to the glory of a single meme. That still stands, yes, but to apply it to a song that otherwise had near-no prevalence on SiIvaGunner, no standard set for how remixing it ought to go: To have my FIRST ever time hearing Cotton-Eye Joe pitch shifted be in this absolute behemoth feels downright criminal. And its even crazier how it WORKS the whole way through.

The amount of touches present to make this feel as cohesive as it does is staggering. The chorus' titular line of "Cotton-Eye Joe" replaces the use of "Sephiroth!" in the base track perfectly, the original song's violin instrumental breaks between the chorus and verses are pitch shifted into the ominous tone of One Winged Angel's equivalent instrumental breaks, the banjo going off the shits in the longer break from the main melody midway through the track...really, its incredible how much of the original track's excitement and danceable fun suddenly sound so ominous, with changes so deliberate, substantial yet conservative enough to not lose the Cotton-Eye Joe feel - this ALWAYS sounds like the right amount of both tracks in balance. I love how the song's chanting "Hey-hey-hey-heyys" suddenly sound akin to One Winged Angel's latin choir song, how the vocals of the chorus repeat in a somewhat staggered, haunting way near the rip's end - like Beautiful Dreamer or My Dr. Eggman Can't Be This Evil!, its remarkable just how drastic the change of tone becomes through rips like this.

Most of all though, it is that gradual realization of what you're listening to that has made I will Never be a Redneck such a classic for me - NOBODY could've anticipated it based on the channel's past history, and nobody would've expected THIS would be the way that Season 7 would officially "start". Yet its the kind of rip you can send to anyone - both songs are immediately recognizable, and the effort put in to making the two work in tandem is unmistakably impressive. uwustepanne, who wrote in to request this be covered, included a short anecdote with her write-in, about how this rip showing up in her YouTube feed was what made her realize the channel hadn't ended with Season 6's finale, that I will Never be a Redneck in a way represents everything she loves about the channel, the impact its had on her. And yeah - isn't it crazy how a rip as cracked as this one, still wound up facing incredibly stiff competition for rip of the Season?? 2023 was one of SiIvaGunner's greatest-ever years, and seeing a rip like I will Never be a Redneck uploaded at its very start felt almost like they'd set the bar far too high for the rest of the team. Yet somehow, someway, everyone else was up to the challenge and continued making absolutely incredible rips throughout the entire year. Madinstance continues to raise the bar of quality on the channel at almost every turn, and having him do it at the Season's very start - with a rip as out-of-this-world as I will Never be a Redneck to boot - remains as an absolute power move.

Keito: Now, I’ll summarize the issue at hand for Anzu, who probably doesn’t understand what is happening very well.

Keito: We, AKATSUKI, have been asked to host a long-running show ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’, that any history buff worth their salt knows about.

Kuro: By the way, little miss Anzu, have ya ever heard of ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’? Ya haven’t, right?

Keito: Quit trying to increase the number of your brethren in ignorance.

Souma: Fufu. You say you have yet to properly sit down and watch it, but you know of its name? Well, it does appear understandably difficult and complex to become invested in.

Souma: I too have beckoned for my younger brother to “come and watch” with me, but he does not spare a glance.

Kuro: Haha, wouldn’t it be more fun for a growin’ boy to move his body?

Keito: Back to what I was saying earlier. We’ve been entrusted with this major role, but a problem has cropped up.

Kuro: The issue is that I’m an idiot.

Keito: I’ve come up with a workaround for that bit, so it’s no longer an issue.

Souma: Hasumi-dono is far too strict in his refusal to retort with the simpler, “You aren’t an idiot,” phrase. ~♪

Keito: You’re being annoying. Also, Kiryu isn’t an idiot, generally speaking, he just can’t study. There’s a difference.

Keito: The problem I was referring to, of course, is the ‘Three Sages.’

Keito: These ‘Three Sages’ are authorities in the field for the countless historians that have supported ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’ throughout the years. Without their cooperation, this show just wouldn’t work.

Souma: Umu. We are not academics, but ‘aidoru’, for which reason we so desperately require the assistance of such experts.

Keito: Exactly. However, for better or worse, these exalted scholars were quite unique—

Keito: They had their own set of conditions for us to follow. Though it seemed like they’d be cooperative if we fulfilled them,

Keito: All of these conditions are ill-matched, and in theory, it seems impossible to fulfill all of them.

Keito: Now, we need to figure out what to do. Do you understand now, Anzu?

Kuro: No really, what’re we supposed t’do…? Both Hideyoshi-sensei and Nobunaga-sensei said the same thing, come to think of it. Turns out ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’ is a total landmine of a job after all.

Kuro: We’re just dumbasses that jumped for joy, and fell right into a trap.

Souma: Now Kiryu-dono, let us try and think of this the other way around. I believe that it may be precisely because we are without a proven record of accomplishments unlike the ‘beterans’ of our agency, that the responsibility of handling such a precarious case has been entrusted to us young people.

Keito: I agree with Kanzaki’s view on this.

Kuro: Why’re you two just freakishly in sync these days!? You ‘good at studyin’’ folks are conspirin’ together, aren’tcha? Little miss, you’re on my side though, right? Won’t ya come to the ‘can’t study for shit’ side…?

Keito: Don’t act like a baby to gain Anzu’s sympathy, Kiryu… But seriously, what side would you take, Anzu? I’ve always thought that you were sincere, and a hard worker, so your grades must be good, right?

Souma: Hmm. Anzu-dono is currently enrolled in the ‘purodyuusu’ course, so I cannot say for certain, however, the year prior, her grades were of a generally average nature. They were neither good nor bad.

Kuro: If ya studied super hard and still got an average grade, that must mean you must’ve been a pretty terrible student in the past.

Keito: Don’t try to recruit fellow bad students. Quit trying to run from reality, Kiryu. It’d be best if you tried to be reborn as a wiser version of yourself.

Kuro: Easy for you to say, but y’know… I can’t change that fast. I mean, I worked real hard to finally be reborn at the level I am right now.

Keito: Yes. I acknowledge your hard work.

Keito: Effort will never betray a person. People are only ever betrayed by people.

Souma: Those are meaningful words. Unfailingly, problems can be attributed to people.

Keito: That applies to our current predicament as well. What should we do, Anzu?

Keito: I would like to hear your opinion.

Kuro: Careful now, little miss. If ya answer with somethin’ strange, Hasumi’s gonna blow his lid.

Keito: Stop fooling around. If Anzu had been even a little less self-assertive of a person, she would’ve shriveled up by now.

Keito: —Hm, I see. Decide on what our priorities are, huh?

Keito: It’s better to be selective, and decide on what you want to accomplish, rather than try to accomplish everything and risk ending up with nothing.

Keito: That sounds fair. Nothing good comes from being greedy.

Keito: And naturally, what’s most important to us is the progress of AKATSUKI.

Kuro: As an idol, ya should’ve answered with somethin’ more like “the smiles of our fans.”

Keito: If we’re very successful and sparkle brightly, our fans will be pleased and smile anyways, right?

Keito: We would like to bolster our reputation by hosting ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth.’ However, in order for the show to be a success, we need the cooperation of the ‘Three Sages.’

Keito: However, in order to get them to cooperate with us, we have to meet their conditions—

Keito: …I’m just repeating myself. What I’m trying to say is that the order of priorities is (1) AKATSUKI’s progression, (2) Getting ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’ approved, and (3) the feelings of the ‘Three Sages.

Keito: In the most extreme case, even if we are unable to achieve (2) or (3), accomplishing just (1) would be fine.

Keito: … Hm? What is it, Anzu?

Keito: If you have something to add, don’t be afraid to say it. That is why I called you here, after all.

Keito: I see… That sounds drastic, but I guess it’s technically possible.

Keito: It’s not like we’d be punished for trying. Oi Kiryu, Kanzaki—

Keito: Let’s prepare whatever documents and materials we’ll need by tomorrow.

Keito: As per Anzu’s suggestion, we’ll make a trial version of ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’ on our own.

Radiorose Week Day 1: Alastor's Subconscious Routine

I messed up scheduling when I was working on this, so if you read it before 6/8/24 (the proper release date), it's changed! Read it again! (or don't, it's up to you.)

"Rosie, are you home?!" Al yelled as he stood outside the emporium. He had knocked several times and there was no response. This was odd, they had a walk planned at this time every week.

Rosie finally opened the door and came outside. There was a bit of blood on her cheek.

"Sorry about that Al, I was dealing with my now ex-husband." She said cheerfully. Alastor pulled out a handkerchief, reached over, and wiped the blood off her face.

Alastor put it in his pocket and said, "I can tell, you were a tad... messy."

Rosie's cheeks turned a little pink. Embarrassed, she stuck out her arm, "Shall we?"

Alastor linked his arms with Rosie's and they started their afternoon stroll. Alastor was always keen to be on the right of Rosie; he said it was so he could hold his staff in his dominant hand, but Rosie knew better. Deep down, she was certain he was a bit of a softy.

"I see you had a falling out with yet another husband, dinner tomorrow at 7 per usual then?" Rosie sighed and said: "Yes, though I think we'll have leftovers this time round."

They continued their stroll through Cannibal Town. Ever since the incident years ago, Alastor had grown closer to Rosie, she was his only real friend after all; she had been there through it all. He looked forward to their weekly walks. Rosie, on the other hand, while also enjoying their walks, thought doing the same thing week after week was getting a bit stale.

"Hmm, still. I think that was a new record," Rosie chuckled. "I don't know what you saw in him though... or any of your other exes" Alastor told Rosie.

"Yes... I know, deer. You've been quite vocal about that before," she responded slightly annoyed, but a small smile betraying her presentation.

They eventually made it back to the emporium and, per usual, Rosie invited Al inside. He wouldn't come in any other way. He held the door open for Rosie as they walked in.

When they made it inside, Rosie pulled out one of her boxes of chocolate fingers that she kept in stock for after their walks. She put the box on the coffee table and they sat down together on the couch to gossip.

"I hear the queen is planning something big." Good, someone needs to do it, the king is too short to think big." Rosie took a moment before responding, "What, do you think he's... short-sighted?" "Haha Rosie." Alastor said with a smile on his face.

"I like it when you smile deer. It's really something special." Rosie said, putting on the charm.

"Oh thank you Rosie," he touched his spiky teeth, "I like to believe it can be intimidating too." He said, completely ignorant to Rosie's advance.

After 30 minutes or so, they finished their gossip, said goodbye, and Alastor left. Stood right outside the front door, he told his shadow: "Stick with Rosie, it would be quite unfortunate for this one to have friends hellbent on revenge. Make sure she stays safe... but, perhaps don't let her see you." His shadow nodded and slipped inside. Alastor paused before heading off to his radio tower.

I had joined Harry on love on tour this year, with our 7 year old daughter in tow, we had decided that she would do virtual school as it was too much of a risk of her being recognised at school, when Harry or I would pick her up, having our relationship being in the public eye for 10 years now, plus it allowed us to be on tour with Harry, hating being away from him just like I went through when he was in One direction.

Now we were sitting on the hotel room bed, after coming back from our anniversary dinner, Mitch and Sarah taking Juliet for the night. currently reminiscing on our relationship of 10 years. We hadn't gotten married.

"Do you remember The night we made Juliet?" I asked

"vaguely, remind me again what happened"

Harry and I had just gotten back from going out on a night out to celebrate the last ever show with Harry's bandmates, we celebrated out in sheffield and now we had gone to our flat, sheffield was my home town so it was a bittersweet moment for me, because sheffield was where Harry and I had met 2 years ago while he was doing his take me home tour and now everything was changing but not our relationship. No our relationship was as strong as ever and it had been some amazing past 2 years with him.

Now though, I was lounging about in out flat just watching out the big panel window of our flat, While Harry was somewhere around doing something. Harry and I had bought this flat before he left for the on the road again tour, and now we finally had time to spend in it together.

"What are you doing?" Harry asks while wrapping his arms around me while his front is pressed against my back, making me jump about 6 feet in the air. "geez H! way to scare a girl, why don't you go scare Petal while you're at it Harry" Petal was my cat from my old flat, from before I met Harry. She was a stray when I took her in finding her in a bunch of petals while walking home. I took her to the nearest to the vets but there was no record of previous owners and I couldn't just leave her there when she was just a baby so I gave her a good life and promised to give her all the love any animal deserves.

Looking down at the cat, who had now disappeared from where she was previously and not being anywhere where she was in plain sight taking it as a sign that she was scared. Harry and now moved to be facing me looking me right in the eye, "oh come on darling,this isnt fair you sneak up on me all the time, like this morning when we were at the venue you came up and hugged me making me jump 12 foot in the air." "that's different!" "Oh is it now?" he asks sarcastically "yes it is" I say before pulling him in for a kiss.

We stay kissing for a few moments before Harry pulls away. "Wow way to make a girl know that you don't like her Harry" I tease playfully. "Oh yeah, Y/n I have some news. After, being with you for 2 years and buying a flat with you. I don't like you." He teases back with the same amount I just gave him "I hope you're happy. Just for that, you can sleep on the sofa tonight." I say, acting serious before walking into the bedroom, knowing I'm only joking.

He follows me while talking "oh come on Y/n/n, you know I love you." he pauses then says "I" was only joking". I giggle before I say "so was I you fool, haha got you" he joins me on the bed tickling me. "you little menace, had my heart going for a second thought I'd really upset you. You are so crafty honestly." He says before kissing me again, going a bit deeper this time.

And that was that, this was where we would start our family.

Memories and other stuff

I was watching a 2006/7? show a few weeks or so ago and they shown the girl with her mom on Kids Choice Awards which got me thinking about the first time i watch the award, it was the 2012 edition

i remember being so excited, it was Will Smith that presented the awards if memory and google serves correctly, i was voting non-stoping for the singer's, cartoons and things a like up to the last minute because it was the first time i was watching it and it feel like magic, like all those famous people together in one place? sign me up, i remenber going back and forward with the dubbing and non dubbing because they were dubbing simultaneously with the program that was live, i have such a vivid memory about the show that i remenber that they reprise the awards in the next day in the morning and i made dad wait until the reprise ends to then go to his house which he did, months later i would become a Directioner (hence the One Direction photo up there) but months before becaming a directioner i remenber nickelodeon same channel that hosted the KCA was showing commercials for the Up All Night live tour show (sorry all i could find was an article about it😬)

I didn't really care about it cause all I care about at the time was if Freddie was going to be with Carly from Icarly (yes i did ship them more than Freddie and Sam) I was obsessed with Icarly like that was my show y'know? I think I liked a bit to much (read a lot) cause even my sister who was living in other state at the time knew that I loved Icarly (I got an Icarly backpack from her) but I belive the Icarly phase was short because once I got bitten by the One Direction obsession it only got worset as time went by I didn't mind mom and dad on the other hand... Well let's just say they thought it was a phase(it wasn't) all that while I was 11 years old quite a lot right? by early-mid 2014 I remenber finding out who Demi Lovato was and Oh. My. God i was in love and when I say in love was like in love with her you know the kinda in love that you are not supouse to feel for a famous person? but that's what i felt at the time, with Demi i remenber being really different than with the boys cause while with the boys i found about sex at 11 years old (mom didn't like it haha) and they were all very young, with Demi although she was also pretty young at like 22/23 she had more "problems" so to speak, it wasn't problems but she had more story than the 1D boys at 18, 21 years old, I mean she was at rehab at like 17, 18? for like lots of mental problems, it was with her that I found out what mental health was, what each letter on the LGBTQ+ meant for all I know(she was heavy on the topic hell her "really don't care" video was recorded in a pride parade), I became obsessed with that scene of her kissing Santana in Glee, like that scene messed up with my brain chemistry somehow, i used to say that Demi was the light at the end of the tunnel for me cause when i met her the step-dad I had at the time was heavy on drugs and alcohol (more alcohol than drugs i think, i try not to think about those times tbh) but i remenber seen him stoned out of his head and drunk several times at the time, like Frank from Shameless but worst, it wasn't fun like Frank(Frank was funny, he wasn't), the fights were the worst, god the trauma i have from those fights, because as you can imagine i saw everything but the Demi i got was this one

She was sweet, funny, she was everything you could ask for an a famous singer, she had the voice, the fandom used to said that the "Skyscraper"(one of her songs) was a life saver that like the song save lots of people when it was released, now looking back at it I remenber a lot of fans saying that they were lovatics because Demi was very open about her struggles with mental health (depression, self-harm, bullying and stuff like that) which she was don't get me wrong i personally learn lots of things with her, Demi was the reason I paint my hair it was purple and got white in like 2 to 4 days I think but I liked it was fun, I think I too could fit in that category of "People Demi Lovato save" because she appeared in my life when I needed the most and was feeling very isolated, lonely, not that I didn't had anyone like dad, sister or brother I did and I still do at least two of them but it was different idk how to explain at same time cause like most fights between them (mom and step-dad) was at night/midnight and most of them live far away (dad didn't but...) but then again they would be mostly be found sleeping but then I found out about Doctor Who and what a show it is hum, my doctor and companion was 10th and Martha Jones i wanted to be just like her thought she is black and i'm white as a paper so kinda hard as you can imagine but she was everything I wanted to be, strong, incredible and someone that people obey in the sense of like "oh it's better not to mess with her because otherwise it will be a problem" y'know? I used to pray that the Doctor would appear in my room and take me on adventures (I secretly still do) it never happen which is sad but it happen's to the best of us, Demi made me met Fifth Harmony the girls I got were these

I remenber really liking Camila because her name was the easiest to pronounce and that she had a banana sock that was her lucky charn, in fact that was the first video I remember watching from their takeover it was the "Camila's banana lucky sock's", I used to love their takeovers like that was my favorite thing (i probably still know all the words for some of my favorites for that matter) but I remenber "meeting" them though a Camren fanfic but I didn't know they're names again Camila was the easiest cause is the most brazilian name out of the 5 names but after watching some of they're videos I decided that Normani was going to be my favorite cause she used to dance, she was a gymnast and she could sing like a godness, looking back at it now she and Ally were like Niall and Louis the "background singer" in both bands if I'm being honest, all four of them could sing but the focus either on Harry, Liam, Zayn, Camila or Lauren (more Harry and Camila than Zayn and Lauren tbh) but they were the focus of both groups I suppose it was because they(Harry, Camila and Lauren) were the "face" of respective groups (if that makes sense) but in terms of shipping the pairs where Larry and Camren I unfortunately had ship both of them it's one of the very few things that i'm shame of saying and i'm not shame of anything (which drives mom crazy) but at the time if you didn't ship both "couples" you were exclude from the fandom(from the record I don't think any of them never had anything, I genuinely belive they were just best friends) that's how things were at the time y'know? Record of Practice: Fire, Spirit(Akasha), and Moon.

We are back! and I apologize for not keeping a strict log on the elemental log and I always seem to miss/not properly write for Fire and Spirit in most of my work haha. Anyway what I would say about the Fire, Spirit , and Moon which seems like the moon is the biggest "photo" or player here haha. To Summarize it to the best of my ability it would be:

Fire clarify, banishes illusions, brighten your awareness, and bring you to true reality.

Spirit is both the start, middle, and end of Practice. The space between stimulus and response, the silence between every sounds/thoughts, and the source of it all.

Moon is the combination of the four elements and enliven the four elements. Through it we get Nourishment. Reflectivenesss, Psychological Projection, and many other attributes are part of the moon both personally, inter-personally, and in the real world.

Let me get more into it:

Fire

You will remain eternally pure, and will not be reduced to someone who eats all promiscuously. Only the flame from your viler parts of the body will be a consumer of all things. Everything burnt by your flames will become pure. Brahma to Agni ( Source: Mbh Adi Parva, Chapters 5 to 7 )

The first you can imagine with fire is that it "lights up" literally physically, astrally, mentally, and on all levels. You hit the flint, strike the match and then what? "And said God let there be light, and there was light" That's the Light. Fire is in front of you right now, you're reading these words in the form of Fire(Sight). At least I think most people would prefer to hear my thoughts and actual ideas on it instead of just rehashing the usual. Simply without Fire, most of the practical work we do magically would be aimless, unguided and without direction. If we ourselves don't put the correct lighting, candle, lamps in our communication then the messages comes out weird both ways. Imagine the lighting during dinner, during lunch, during a spooky night time story, or the lighting in places like during sunset. The Light/Fire sets the tone for how stuff are clarified, Yes fire is ever expanding based on the fuel that you gives it. Fire will keep expanding but what's left from the fire would be Ash. What's ash except the purified state of Earth, The water and air get moved out of it through Fire and we come back to...

Akasha: As Ash..

Once a block of earth is enlivened by water and nourished by Air, burned by Fire we get Ashes. Space is created again and all the elements that were once coagulated are now dissolved, solve et coagula. That's in a sense what Spirit give us, the space to both create and dissolve, the space to actually know what we are doing, the space to stop and start anew. Akasha is deep sleep, it is the darkness behind the eyes, akasha is all of this an none of that because once you grasp it then it's not "it" anymore. In a way this is what make akasha as a necessary step because without it we can't really start anything new or stop anything old. Momentum doesn't go endlessly, and if you don't take the time to breath then you can't keep going forever, it's a marathon not a sprint and do you really rush yourself when you go traveling or go on a holiday? same idea. Are there spirits in akasha(?) maybe but I don't know how to contact them haha. Akasha is the rest and the new start, take some akashapill. Between Akasha and the Moon is something related to Merkavah literature and sadly I don't know if I am in the right place to disclose this or talk about it.

Moon: Nourishment, Reflection of Truth, and Misinformation.

The Moon is a lot more subtle and serious this time. If last year the general theme of the Moon was cleansing then this year it would be Nourishment and by that I mean the spiritual nourishment. We need to stop to see if the materials and stuff we are consuming in media, in literature, in practice, and in real life are nourishing us or just "filler" food? Bad food is harder to purge out of our bodies. I definitely encourage the reader to look more into this topic here , but overall? The Moon is seen as this deceptive planet but it is only as deceptive as we are deceptive to ourselves, we have to know where we stand and not to ask excessively. The Moon is part of the "veil" but also part of the whole world, if everything considered psychic or mediumship is under the moon then the moon is where it is at to start the process properly. I did take longer than a week, with the moon because I lacked astral Nourishment and by that it is lacking the "juice" or water to make the whole "thing" work. A Machine would break and crash without grease, and this grease is through the moon. If that analogy makes sense, consciously consuming our mental, astral, and physical world is something we should pay attention and heed it. In the end We can see how the Fire(Screen) Display information/reflections(Moon) and we have to take the akashic space/moment where we can process what we are seeing or consuming "mentally"/"astrally" as we look at it. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Part 5 - Episodes 1-4 (AA4)

Episode 1 - Turnabout Trump

I bought the trilogy so yayyy, I am up for this! I hope I like Apollo😊 Apollo is pretty cute though, lol when the defendant called him Mr Fine hahahah. OMG that beanie guy is Phoenix?!??! I'm flabbergasted, super shocked! Lmao at Payne's jab "better than a defence attorney who can't defend"😂😂😂 LMAO at Payne saying the witness is hidden because she probably got scared of Apollo's demonic-looking horns HAHAHA. I love spikey hair😂 Lmao at Kristoph's calm face telling Apollo to not embarrass him every time Apollo objects and says Phoenix didn't do it because he would never do such a thing😂😂 An authentic Russian borscht restaurant where it's freezing cold and they serve cold borscht?! I agree with Apollo, I never want to go there😂 OMG, Phoenix has a daughter?!l Olga Orly changing her personality and everything after recess was interesting😂

I didn't expect things to turn around to make Kristoph the killer especially since Phoenix and him are supposed to be friends. I guess that means he is somehow related to why Phoenix lost his attorney's badge 7 years ago? But yes, now we can see why he wanted Apollo to defend him, not only because he wanted Kristoph to be caught but he also needed someone who pursues justice above everything. I assume there's more going on about this Shadi Smith. But man, I've really forgotten how fun the Ace Attorney games can be! I fully enjoyed how much of a rollercoaster everything was, the constant twists and turns and everything haha. I think it was also very enjoyable because it felt nice to see Phoenix even if he's not an attorney right now. I was thinking that Bloody Ace card evidence was way too convenient and it was admitted so haphazardly into evidence even though it came from unknown origins so I'm not surprised if it really was forged evidence. Anyway, this episode was a nice warm up to get into the groove of things again. I'm not sure how to feel about the current Phoenix Wright but I'll admit that I'm quite interested in Apollo and his journey now haha!

Episode 2 - Turnabout Corner

Ooh so Phoenix's daughter is called Trucy. I thought so already but considering she's 15 years old and Phoenix is 33, he probably adopted her somewhere. Well, after being a defendant, he is now a client to Apollo? How? Lolll. Okay, it was a joke hahaha. Anyway, Phoenix getting hit by a car and hitting into a telephone pole but only getting a sprained ankle is hilarious, what a guy. Dr Hickfield is a creep and I REALLY did not need those hand movements OMG. Sniffling Samurai with the booger flick attack?! LOL. It's wonderful how this noodle guy has a bowl for a hat and his hair looks like noodles😂 Why are there stolen panties as a part of this case too and Trucy's?! Omgg Ema Skye?? She looks so mature now! LMAO when Trucy did a magic trick and said her panties are an extra-dimensional space and that anything fits in there😂 Tiala wanting to quit her job and marry the Kitaki son to live the good gangster life was so funny 😂 Umm this Mr Gavin looks exactly like Kristoph Gavin?? Ema just randomly munching on food because it's snack time😂😂 Ohh Kristoph's younger brother, Klavier... Hmmmm... Seems suspicious😂 Very interesting how the guy died btw, pulling the noodle cart?🧐

Oooo, Klavier is a prosecutor! Interesting! Lmao I love his air guitar movement😂 Lmao at Stickler talking too much and the judge is like we hope to finish cross-examination sometime this month😂😂 It's so funny how Klavier and Trucy chime in with how they have a recording and a magic show to get to after this trial😂 I did not expect some random to come and take Trucy hostage??? Like how did that happen without anyone noticing? Wild trial lol. I guess a magic trick should have been expected hahahaha. Apollo was so cute when he was so relieved that Trucy was actually okay. I'm not sure how to feel about the Perceive ability thing but I guess I can fly with it. It was obvious that Stickler viewed the crime from the other side but is he a thief? OMG the panties thief, of course!! Lol. LMAO when Klavier asked Apollo how many panties he's carrying with him since he keeps taking them out as evidence😂😂 Alita is definitely suspicious especially since she's the only one that probably could have stolen the pistol.

Klavier was the one who stripped Phoenix of his attorney badge?! Lmao at the footprint analysis thing where you use a hairdryer😂 legit died😂 Klavier, a 17 year old prosecutor???? Danggg!! LOL I didn't expect the noodle hair to be a wig and that Mr Eldoon actually looks normal when he dons his doctor persona lol!! Btw, I'm still sad that it never clicked to me until they revealed it that Eldoon is just noodle backwards lmao. I didn't think Wocky's time would be that limited that he's basically going to die soon if he doesn't get operated on asap. Hmmmm I'm not sure if I like the conclusion to this case, especially since it was obvious what Alita's motives were, and I did enjoy the idea of Meraktis needing the noodle cart to carry a body without anyone knowing and that Alita was the victim first but...Meraktis is a doctor! How did he not realise she wasn't actually dead? And why did he leave the gun with her in the noodle cart? She threatened him with it so wouldn't he have thought he needs to hide that too? But yeah I think him not realising she wasn't dead was more unbelievable considering he's a doctor, and even if it was because he was all panicky and stuff, it's still difficult to understand considering he needed to prepare all these things to transport her body, so he would have had some time to calm down, he would have carried her and noticed whether she was just unconscious or dead imo. Anyway, definitely a weak case for me but lmao at the Kitaki head's puppy dog eyes, I mean I knew he was a softie for his son but loll the eyes😂

Episode 3 - Turnabout Serenade

Lmao at Klavier sending them his concert tickets for 20% off😂😂 Couldn't even let Apollo the poor guy have them for free😂 Does Lamiroir's language actually mean something? Because lmao at the letter that looks like a person doing a hadouken😂😂 A burning guitar and a dead manager🥲 Lol at Ema and her Snackoo-ing Apollo all the time😂 Anyway, the Blue Badger doesn't give me good memories😂 The ladder vs stepladder thing will always be funny, lmao at ladder discrimination hahaha. I assume the speakers had a role in this and the victim wasn't shot at the same time as the concert otherwise how could we explain this disappearing killer? Or was the victim able to fire the gun before he died to alert people? But it seems like there's a dying message so probably not hahaha. I didn't expect The Gavinners to be full of people related to the police, so Daryan is a detective with criminal affairs hmmm~ Lmao at the song name "My Boyfriend Is the Prosecution's Witness" hahahaha. I have no musical sense apparently because I could not find the missing cue hahahha!

The moment they decided to leave the room ignoring Ema, I knew the body would disappear but I'm curious as to why🧐 NO WAY LeTouse is only 35 years old lol!!! It was so funny when the cross-examination was getting delayed because of talk about autographs from Lamiroir, and Klavier then gives his to the judge😂 How was it possible for Machi to carry the body all the way to the stage and take it up that ladder? Why does no one question the logistics of this? Also, if the recoil from the gun is so bad, how could a child hit the victim without sustaining any sort of injury? Lmao at Ema calling Klavier a diva because he keeps complaining about losing his keys, his guitar getting burnt to a crisp etc etc. Anyway, nice to know that the one who is supposed to blind isn't blind and that Lamiroir can speak English which was to be expected. I guess someone was smuggling that egg cure to save the Chief Justice's kid.

Anyway, I forgot to say that I love Klavier's office, just filled with guitars and music hahahah, and some evidence lying around and on screens of course. I knew that gigantic case that can fit people in it was going to be important but I didn't think it would be a place for Lamiroir to hide from someone trying to kill her. It's so crazy how no one cared about finding an interpreter for Machi and was ready to just give a verdict without him speaking lolll. Lmao at Trucy telling Apollo that he's the defence so he needs to believe in his client even if they're lies😂 I liked when Trucy said Apollo was pretty cool for a moment because I agree! When he refuted Klavier so confidently, I felt so proud of him! I can't😂 whenever Apollo takes out some new contraption and the judge keeps saying is it a new-fangled phone that's come out without him noticing😂😂 Ohhh, it took me a while to piece together some of the details because I couldn't understand why Lamiroir would hear something from the air vent but then I realised I forgot about the disappearing magic trick hahaha. I was always skeptical about that dropped brooch's position so I'm glad that it was actually because she dropped it from the air vent, and as expected, there were two Lamiroir's for the performance. I can't believe I missed the vacuum sealed guitar part to smuggle cocoons! Definitely a great idea hahaha. The last bit was pretty obvious and I feel like Daryan was quite a weak culprit but I did enjoy how things proceeded. I kinda wished I had the musical sense to understand and notice the stuff with the mixing board but it was not to be I guess. I definitely enjoyed the walking in the ceiling thing, it just felt so enlightening when it clicked! Accusing the poor kid of murder was still slack though lmao.

Episode 4 - Turnabout Succession

A trial simulation of the jurist system is interesting, mainly because it's not a simulation and is an actual trial hahaha. The defendant is an interesting girl. I knew Drew Misham was a forger but I really didn't expect to see those three rough sketches be of Apollo's previous cases. The x-ray machine was kinda fun since you got to see it slowly form into a surprising picture. Aww Vera was so cute for drawing a smiley face to give expression to her thanks to Apollo for taking her case. Honestly, I have to agree with Klavier that people should not lick stamps in this day and age😂 I have always found it so weird and unsanitary, and if the victim died because of this, then it really goes to show that we should all really stop this practice if we want to save our lives😂 LMAO when the judge started getting influenced and getting into the way the Bruschel guy talks and was like the stamp is a ticket straight to the afterlife, end quote hahahaha. Btw I'm still disappointed that this trial jurist system has not made any impact but I guess we'll see if it does anything later. But yes, I'm glad Klavier finally brought up the why would the victim use a stamp he knew was poisoned lol. It's quite amazing that Vera was so talented at the age of 12. Even more crazy that not only could she forge paintings but forged evidence as well like signatures, fingerprints etc?? I can't believe it was a stamp of the Troupe Gramarye!

Awww a tiny Trucy is so cute! Klavier looks better with short hair I must say. Ooh the music feels so nostalgic! I'm very happy to finally see the trial seven years ago! The case seven years ago was the death of their master Magnifi Gramarye?😱 I wonder why Zak had a reason he couldn't refuse Magnifi's order to kill him and why specifically at 11:05pm? Hmmm, was it really because of they needing to wait for the doctor to do the IV and then getting the bag at 11:30? Well, that was a rollercoaster with the fake evidence and Drew Misham appearing to say it was a fake he made. Zak disappearing during court before his verdict was declared and then to never to be seen again is interesting. I guess that means we'll see him again soon? It's so sweet how reliable eight year old Trucy was to take care of Phoenix and say she'll take care of him hahaha. I think it was sweet how much Trucy's existence saved Phoenix, but at the same time I'm sure Phoenix also saved her when she had no one else. Btw, it's so nostalgic to see the law office again! Lmao at Meekins getting fired from being a police officer but taking the uniform with him as he works as a bailiff😂 But I never thought Mr Hat was so relevant that he was the reason why Zak could escape from court!

I can't believe it didn't click when I first saw Zak that he's actually Shadi Smith from the first case! Lmao at Kristoph's fancy gaol. Little Vera smiling and talking about Troupe Gramarye was so cute, she really can smile so happily. I knew Thalassa (Trucy's mother) being Magnifi's only daughter would be significant but I didn't think that their popular shooting performance actually killed her..that is terrible.. I knew there was something familiar about Thalassa's portrait but I didn't expect Apollo to actually be her child from her first marriage and that his powers and Trucy's powers are from the Gramarye bloodline basically! To think that Apollo and Trucy were half siblings all this time. I mean their relationship dynamic won't change but I think it would really help Trucy to know that she's definitely not alone anymore. Btw, I'm really enjoying the Mason System, initially I didn't know what to think about it but I actually really enjoyed seeing the past and present and how everything linked up. I most definitely had a rollercoaster of emotions with Valant. Disappointed that he killed Magnifi although he did treat both his disciples badly, then relief that he didn't actually kill Magnifi and then disappointment again when he admitted to the IV fluid thing to push this "murder" on to Zak. I assume Kristoph's reputation as the best defence attorney was built on forged evidence but I guess we will see his reasons.

For once, I did pretty good at figuring out Vera was poisoned through biting her nails on that nail polish given by Kristoph but I still feel bad for Drew. He wanted to save his daughter and have Kristoph stop manipulating her to do his bidding with the "good luck charm" but he ended up dying using that stamp that Vera kept. Btw, I forgot to mention that I never expected Mr Brushel to be such an integral witness and character in this whole fiasco from seven years ago until now. This guy is relentless for sure haha. I guess I underestimated Kristoph, he only did forged evidence once hoping to guarantee his win but then got dismissed by Zak so he used it as a trap on Phoenix to "punish" him for taking his rightful spot as the defence attorney for such a high profile case with the Gramarye. I finally understand what else felt familiar about Thalassa's portrait, I thought it looked like Lamiroir but I couldn't see a reason why. But I realised I forgot they said they never saw Thalassa's body, and she has the bracelet, so really, she was alive all this time but with no eyesight and no memories of the past. It's kinda crazy that she had such talent for both magic and singing though haha.

Overall, Apollo Justice is an all right game. Apollo is fine as he says, and I have a soft spot for Trucy and Ema but I think Klavier definitely lacked impact as a prosecutor even though I liked how he was a guy committed to justice. His brother Kristoph was also disappointing. Even though Phoenix isn't the Phoenix we're used to, I think the last case really makes you remember about the Phoenix you love so it's all good haha. The first two episodes were all right, third was better but I really wasn't good enough to tell the difference in music etc and the fourth as the finale was great. It was nice to see the first case set up to be something more important down the line which was obvious but I never realised the relevance until they talked about it haha. The second case was rather boring but the highlight was Ema imo. The third case was interesting in the sense that I enjoyed seeing how everything developed and how Lamiroir was involved, but I really didn't like all the flashbacks and I was basically incompetent when it came to listening for differences so that made me like it less because it was difficult for me. But I think the fourth case more than made up for everything. Seeing Phoenix having gathered evidence seven years ago to the present was really cool because that Mason System did very well showing how the past interacted with the present and how relevant everything was. I love the combined effort of everyone to take down Kristoph (even though he was a weak and disappointing villain). I also liked all the reveals and how everything clicked and was right in front of my face but I just missed it hahaha. It was enjoyable watching everything unravel with the magicians and the mysteries of the deaths. It was intriguing and definitely the highlight of the game. Even though I prefer the previous games more, this game has definitely rekindled my love for ace attorney so I'm all in for the next two!

Mid-Year Book Freakout 2023

1. Best book you’ve read so far this year

The Art of Prophecy - this was so fun and made just for me I enjoyed it a lot The Misadventures of an Amateur Naturalist - really good and also quite unique for the space it’s sitting in I think! The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi - this is very good and fun I loved it

2. Best sequel you’ve read so far this year

The World We Make - love this duology!! NK Jemisin does it again etc etc A Day of Fallen Night - prequel technically, but I enjoyed it a lot and more than priory I think! Sailing By Carina’s Star - i am enjoying this trilogy a lot we love queer pirates The Shadow Cabinet - somehow even more wild than the first book

3. New release you haven’t read yet

I don’t keep lists of books I need to read, so of course when I try to think of something my mind goes blank, here’s a couple from my library holds/kindle To Shape A Dragon’s Breath Wander The Night also does Flight & Anchor count if I’ve read the original patreon version but not the published version yet

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year

(same situation lmao) I’m looking forward to He Who Drowned The World! that’s the first thing that comes to mind

5. Biggest disappointment

tbqh I’ve read a lot of disappointments but they’re mostly self published ones that I read soley because of aspec characters that didn’t hold up in the writing department and are not very well known anyway. (I’ve read tons of selfpubs that are amazing too of course!!) so I’ll just mention some traditionally published ones: Rosewater - I did go into this with the wrong expectations for one, but also the MC was so (intentionally) misogynistic it was hard to enjoy :/ The Wicked Remain - there were a few iffy things in the first book but also things I liked and the second book just...didn’t really add to the things I liked. idk Song of Silver, Flame Like Night - I knew this wasn’t gonna be entirely for me in the first place but man what was up with the only other female character (that’s not dead) having an absolute caricature of a mean girl rivalry with the MC in like. a calling each other slurs kind of way not a fun way

6. Biggest surprise

Beating Heart Baby - I enjoy reading YA contemporary but there’s usually a limit to how much I enjoy it compared to sff, but this went beyond what I expected and I really loved it The Meister of Decimen City - I didn’t have any expectations for this, someone just mentioned it on a discord and I got it from the library, but I loved it a lot!

7. Favorite new author (debut or new to you)

See generally I only call people favourite authors if I’ve read and loved like, at least 3 separate books from them, and I don’t really have any of those for this year.....you need to work to get my loyalty Here’s a few authors that I’ve read a second book/series from them this year and am like, ah yes, I will read the next one: Ceinwen Langley Rebecca Schaeffer Liselle Sambury

8. Newest fictional crush/newest favorite character

tbh I’m not one to separate an individual character from their book or like, the other characters surrounding them very often, so I just can’t think of anything specific... all the women in The Art of Prophecy are great

9. Book that made you cry

I’ve actually started recording this in my stats this year HAHA, with “fully crying” “teared up” and “cried from cute/happiness” and,, I did not expect that there are only 3 books that have made me fully cry????? Which are: In Other Lands and Lirael (nostalgia def has a part to play in both of those) and Beating Heart Baby. I can’t remember why I cried for that one but clearly it was a lot lmao

10. Book that made you happy

I mean it’s a reread but In Other Lands of course

World Running Down - only just read this and I really enjoyed it! a good mix of an interesting sci-fi future that isn’t super dark but also doesn’t shy away from various issues, and an interesting romance! (me enjoying a romance, shocker)

i hate how the show paints trudy.. sure she was a good person but why not say she had flaws but monk loved them? i got so sick of him saying how she was an angel and the perfect woman

it does get cumbersome as it goes on, yes. :< especially when you do know that there's no one, in real life or a tv character that can be perfect. like, in my opinion, what makes a fun/good character are definitely their flaws! and sure, the lovely things about them, the things that make them stand out are great too but then it's like... that's not possible haha, a person CANNOT be that perfect regardless. but then, that is what happens because Monk is traumatized from it, he is unable to recover from one of the few best relationships he's ever had. sometimes, the memory of the person is what you loved about them [yeah, Monk remembered some things he didn't like - her shampoo or her lotion but i don't think anything concretely negative was ever implied about Trudy).

it also comes from how he doesn't have a lot of good prime examples to go off on: his father left, his mother was supposedly even worse than he was and his brother didn't call him for 7-8 years OR after Trudy died.

when you do watch season 8 though. the finale episodes - Trudy is ofc is revealed to have been hiding something from Adrian. and like, sure, sometimes a person DOES want to leave their past in the shadows but it was impactful. it did sour Monk just a bit i think, for those two episodes anyway. it intensified a lot of the anger in him even before they found the killer. AND he didn't want to finish watching what she had to say in the recording she made.

so yeah, it gets overly redundant. Trudy is great and all but the writers made a mistake of making her out to be the purest angel who could do no wrong.

went off topic but this was all just to say i hate when ppl make phoenix out to be some mastermind who was building the mason system for 7 years to get back at kristoph CUZ THAT MAKES NOOOOOOOO SENSE and the only way to come to tht conclusion is to just take everything at a surface level like the way 3-5 requires you to. cuz kristoph is already in jail for the murder of shadi smith, so what else is phoenix trying to incriminate him for?

being drew misham's murderer? yes ok, but if ur interpreting that all the mason system recordings were collected for the express purpose of incriminating kristoph for the murder of drew misham... this would mean that phoenix had known about the poisoned stamp and tht kristoph was planning to kill him with that. which is like, COME ON DUDE phoenix obviously didnt know abt that. if he did then we are reading two completely different stories and phoenix is a bigger asshole than i thought!

but ok maybe the mason system was a way for phoenix to collect evidence to prove the forged diary page was planted by kristoph, so phoenix can show this to whoever and get his badge back. except, if we ignore the mindfuckery implications of the Time Paradox for a second, phoenix had already known with near certainty that kristoph was the one behind the forgery 7 years ago, bc baby vera confirms that kristoph had commissioned her. which means that during these 7 years, phoenix couldve at any point revealed that kristoph had commissioned forged evidence, but he didnt. and why is that? well there are many possible reasons, like maybe vera's account isnt substantial enough, or maybe to prevent kristoph from retaliating and possibly hurting trucy, etc, but i think the most relevant possible reason is that phoenix had wanted to protect vera's identity, and not expose this young girl as a forger to the world at large. and the only reason why phoenix exposes her in 4-4 with the mason system is because her skills as a forger has already been proven at that point, and doing so is necessary to prove tht she hadnt killed her father. basically, the arguement that the mason system exists so phoenix could prove the forged evidence wasnt his idea just doesnt hold, bc phoenix couldve proven that 7 years ago, but chose not to in order to protect vera's identity (among other reasons).

like seriously the mason system isnt some master revenge plan that phoenix crafted in order to get back at kristoph bc like... he is in jail already, for the murder of shadi smith, and phoenix had already decided 7 years ago not to expose kristoph's forgery bc doing so would endanger vera. the mason system's actual purpose is to 1.) prove vera's innocence and 2.) show thalassa, who is serving as a jurist, what had happened to her family while she was gone. incriminating kristoph was never the end goal, but is just what ended up happening anyway, bc he happened to be the one responsible for drew's death. not to mention that the mason system being used for vera's trial is like a last minute change that only ended up happening bc of drew's death, which phoenix couldnt hv foreseen.

and i feel like another reason why ppl get this twisted idea of phoenix being a mastermind of sorts is bc of this line from 4-1:

paired with phoenix's really shady behavior throughout the game lol. but its like i said, if u really think 4-1 was also some sort of revenge plan bc of this line.... then that is some SURFACE level reading!! cuz phoenix wasnt laying a trap of any sorts, like he hadnt known tht kristoph would try to kill shadi or whatever. kristoph had killed a man, and phoenix convicted him for that, plain and simple. the forged bloody ace wasnt a way for phoenix to get his sick kicks in, being like "haha forged evidence uno reverse card", but rather a necessity; ace attorney has shown through these 4 games that its legal system is very flawed, with how its heavily relies on evidences and nothing else. forging the bloody ace was necessary to incriminate kristoph, but it was just a means to an end, and not some master plan. if phoenix is a mastermind that would make him as complicit as kristoph, as it would mean phoenix knew abt his plans to murder shadi and the mishams, but obviously phoenix hadnt known about all that. he isnt a genius he's just..... a time travelling shady fucker 😑

I am so sorry in advance I am sure I am being annoying by now but I have been mentally crying about Fionn and Diarmuid and your fanon interpretation of The Pursuit since my break TTATT I just. There's so much good pain and heartbreak in it because like. Diarmuid absolutely wants to let Fionn lose his shit I am sure because who wouldn't? Thirdly, yeah you pretty much nailed it but lets break this down! Yes he still chases them for a full 7 years from Ireland to Scotland, mostly because Grainne is A Bitch but also because Diarmuid is Kind Of Panicking since he doesn't know how to talk Fionn down from such berserker rage [hey remember my berserker Fionn ideas? Haha yeah] but it should be noted this is a different Grainne to the one you usually see. Basically, my HC is that, much as what happens irl, Pursuit!Grainne and Poem!Grainne were two completely separate events [remember, in the oldest, original poem about her, Grainne never ran away with Diarmuid or had any interaction with him at all, and she had an amicable divorce from Fionn], but since they have similar traits and the same name, they ended up getting recorded in history as "one person" thus smudging a lot of the details

And yeah good catch with the Medb fic! "It wasn't enough" is indeed about all of this because while in this turn of events, Diarmuid never married her, the damage she did was still severe, still caused a huge political rift among Ireland. When the Gabhra battle happens, Diarmuid is convinced that everyone turning against Fionn and his men is because of those 7 years [it isn't, of course, but self blame is a helluva thing] and Fionn is simply too late to save him from the boar, partially because Diarmuid was in a "he'd be better off without me around" state of mind once his fight with the boar was over

So Fionn believes he didn't do enough to help, and one of his biggest regrets is not just killing this woman the first chance he got instead of hesitating just because Diarmuid got between them, and it's why he's so protective and somewhat possessive in chaldea lol

Anyway the pursuit stuff isn't hard canon to my fics, in fact I would say 9/10 of my fate fics operate on "it doesn't exist" and is really only relevant in the Medb fic [because I wanted to write good Medb stuff] and Forgiveness, for the juicy angst of it all
