been thinking about bruce being lost in time and going from era to era remembering nothing of his past lives other than eyes of a colour he can't quite describe. he doesn't know the man that they belong to. there's this weird sense of familiarity there, this niggling feeling that makes him drift towards him, but he never even finds out the man's name. and yet every life he lives, the man is there, never changing, never aging.
and then he gets home and finds alfred and looks him in the eyes and-- they're the same eyes. the same colour he's never seen on anybody else.
alfred looks at him like he knows. like he knows what bruce has been through, like he's known this moment would come, like he knows exactly what he's supposed to do and yet has no idea where to go from here.
and bruce can do nothing but hold him, but be held by him. by this man who has always been there for him. by this man who seemingly isn't much of a man after all.

My brain is unwilling to let go of Twin AU prompts. Sorry for the long post lmao.
Jazz and Jason are getting pretty serious in their relationship, and honestly, they’ve both been hesitant to introduce their family members to one another despite constantly talking about them. They’ve been dating since she started her doctoral studies at Gotham U and she’s about to defend her dissertation, so it really is about time. He saved her in her first week as the Red Hood and he immediately felt at home with her (something, something liminal), she runs into him the next day at a coffee shop and thanks him for taking the time to help her.
Identities are obviously blown. Jason knows that her brother works in ‘politics’ and her younger sister is a travel blogger, and that the three of them don’t talk to her mad scientist parents anymore. Jazz knows that he came back from the dead, his adoptive family had a slew of issues in addition to their hero-complexes and that he would be prepared to kill for any one of his siblings. Their communication skills are top notch.
But then came the issue of actually meeting the family. Like Jazz knows all of the drama between the siblings but could not pick them out of a line up, or more importantly, know who to talk to if an emergency situation came up. Jason agrees, that yeah, it would probably be for the best if he could at least identify her little brother and sister if they had to like, meet at hospital or something.
So that was the plan. Invite just siblings over to their shared apartment, no parents and no fuss. (She even called Danny ahead of time to tell him not to portal straight into the apartment, he needed to walk in the door like a normal person. They could share Ghost King secrets later.)
Tim arrives first, he’d been working a case nearby and Jazz & Jason live pretty close to a nice coffeeshop, so he stopped along the way. He’d done some creeping to figure out that she drinks Chai so he brought one for her. Creepy and yet, endearing.
Ellie comes in second from the window, launching into a story about how annoying it was to find the place with all the gloom, didn’t this city have any respect for the dead? Tim doesn’t get it but Jason is laughing along so Tim files it away for later.
Dick comes in with a shit ton of Pizza he panic ordered, a fruit bouquet and two bottles of wine from Bruce’s cellar. Duke came along with him, a large tupperware of Alfred’s cookies.
Then Steph, Babs and Cass show up, immediately treating Jazz like family while also being hella suspicious about the whole thing. She notices them looking at her hands and Jazz explains that no, they weren’t doing this because Jason proposed. Steph and Cass are annoyed at Jason but tell Jazz she could do better if she wanted. Babs is happy they aren’t rushing into anything (she’s the only one besides Tim that knows how long they’ve been dating- this is just to throw out a red herring for the others)
Everyone is getting along and having a great time, Ellie being a natural entertainer along side Dick, everyone trying to tell embarrassing stories about Jason. Loud noises are coming from the hallway when they realize that neither Damian nor Danny had arrived.
Rushing out the door, the boys are alternating putting each other into choke holds and arguing about not being clones. Danny keeps phasing out of Damian’s grip and Damian keeps pulling out more knives. The hallway looks like it had been blown up and the two are continuing to yell at one another about going to a family dinner. Jason and Jazz just stare at them from the doorway, and wouldn’t you know it, they look like fucking twins.
Jazz grabs Danny, Jason grabs Damian, and everyone is fucking confused. Both sides of the family can confirm growing up with the twins, that neither are a clone. Ellie helpfully supplies that she’s the clone and that opens a whole other bag of chaos.
Eventually they get everyone to sit down for dinner and the night gets weirder from there.

Jason’s Attack on Titans Tower Aftermath AU Ideas
1) Initially upon coming back to life (and then again after regaining his mind due to Talia dipping him in the Pit), Jason had a lot of nightmares about his brief but terrifying time captured by the Joker before his death. The nightmares had subsided to the point that he only got them a few times a month before he attacked Tim. Afterwards, though? He has nightmares every night for the first several weeks (and often enough afterwards), wherein his memories of being beaten by the Joker alternate between the memories of him beating Tim. The comparability makes him sick. He’s wracked with guilt but doesn’t know how to fix it.
When Tim recovers enough to return to his regular Robin activities, Jason avoids the kid like he’s still carrying the apocalypse virus. He doesn’t want to remember how much he hurt him or how much he enjoyed it. He’s afraid the kid will flinch away from him in fear and he has no idea what he’ll do with himself at the reminder that he probably scarred a child nearly as much as the Joker scarred him.
Tim finds this behavior suspicious because plenty of Rogues have nearly killed him and never avoided him afterwards. Therefore, he figures Jason must be plotting something and he won’t be caught unaware again. Jason does not understand why he cannot avoid the walking reminder of his guilt Robin all of a sudden.
The eventual confrontation does not go as either of them expected (Tim was not expecting self-awareness, chagrin, and remorse; Jason was not expecting easy forgiveness, understanding, and a borderline blasé attitude about the whole thing).
2) Some of the Gotham Rogues who like the third Robin (such as Poison Ivy, Riddler, Catwoman, Azrael -who is technically more of an anti-hero but close enough) learn that Red Hood had gone after the boy twice, and very well could have killed him on both occasions. They make it their personal mission to be as much (if not more) of a pain in Hood’s ass as they are in Batman’s. Hood has no idea why they all seem to have a personal beef with him at first and is surprised to eventually learn it’s because they all have a soft spot for the kid. He eventually learns why some of them like the Pretender and is so annoyed to learn that he’s actually a great kid and an excellent Robin. Now he can’t even misdirect his anger at the little shit.
3) Similar to the last, only it’s some of the street-level criminals who learn the Red Hood has temporarily taken Robin out of commission twice now…and could’ve taken him out permanently because slit throats and beatings that end in unconsciousness can easily go bad even when you know what you’re doing. They remember (with a healthy dose of fear) what Batman was like after the second Robin died. They remember (with no small amount of respect) what it was like when the third Robin was still reeling him back in. They all keep letting Hood know -in no uncertain terms- that no one is taking that kid out unless they take the Bat out first because no one wants to go through that hell again.
Jason needs some alone time to process the fact that his dad apparently lost his shit after he died and that Tim probably went through hell bringing the man back to something resembling his old self.
4) While he’s healing up after the attack, Tim has plenty of time on his hands to replay the whole thing in his head over and over again. He realizes that Jason is under-informed about the aftermath of his murder. Someone needs to fill in the blanks for him and, well, Tim already dragged one reluctant Wayne back from grief-fueled rage, why couldn’t he do it again? So he sets out to correct Jason’s misunderstandings, address the glowing green elephant in the room, and bring the undead asshole back home.
Jason is not prepared for the concern-fueled, unrelenting determination of his brilliant but somewhat feral little successor.
Bonus: Alfred, Barbara, and Helena are the only ones Tim allows to learn anything of his plans/doings. Alfred figures it out on his own and Tim doesn’t deny it. Alfred believes in the boy and he would very much like to have Jason home, so he just keeps his mouth shut and subtly prepares Jason’s room. Barbara, Tim figures would probably be the most likely to notice something, so he tells her what he’s doing. She understands Jason’s rage and decides to help cover for Tim in the hopes that they can stop Jason from doing anything worse than what he already has. Helena, Tim brings in because he needs someone more mobile than he is while he’s healing, she doesn’t have any history with Jason, and she’ll be less judgmental about some of Red Hood’s methods. She helps Tim because she doesn’t want him getting hurt trying to do it all on his own. Plus, she understands family.
5) Dick learns about everything. He’s pissed that Bruce didn’t tell him about Jason right away. He’s devastated over Jason attacking Tim twice now. He’s also overjoyed that his little brother is alive. All of these emotions lead to him deciding to confront Jason himself.
No plan. No backup. He’s just gonna find his wayward brother and wing it.
He does. Emotions run high. Words are exchanged. Several blows are, too. But in the end, he has his little brother back and taught him a lesson about hurting their baby brother. He’s calling it a win.
The boys all recover together at Dick’s place and don’t tell Bruce anything for weeks.
6) Red Hood: The Lost Days/Red Hood and the Outlaws/The Return of Ra’s al Ghul crossover. In which Talia decides to intervene after Jason’s attack on Titans Tower.
She’s seen Jason using his detective skills and inborn compassion to help all along. She knows he’s not a lost cause like her father. She’d tried using training and suitable targets for his rage to distract him until he can calm enough to think clearly, but if he’s attacking innocent kids at this stage, then she needs to step in more firmly. Either he had some sort of set back and will never forgive himself when he regains his senses and realizes he hurt a child… Or he’s becoming like Ra’s. In which case, she definitely has to stop him.
The confrontation doesn’t exactly go smoothly, but Talia’s not Bruce nor is she a fifteen-year-old. She can handle anything Jason throws at her. And she’ll persevere because failing this boy simply isn’t an option for her.
Once he’s burnt himself out, she gives him more information she managed to dig up on Tim Drake. She can’t tell him exactly how the boy came to be Robin, because no one other than Batman and Robin likely know, but she can drive home the point that he’s an innocent child who is just trying to help people, the same as Jason had been when he was killed. Jason is horrified once that sinks in.
He asks Talia for help. Different help than what she’s been offering so far. The kind that will help him control, if not be rid of, the rage that his murder and the Pit left him with. So she takes him to the All-Caste. He trains. He heals. He teams up with some old friends and becomes a different kind of hero than Batman or Robin, but a hero nonetheless.
When Ra’s returns and decides he needs Damian’s body after several others fail to contain his tainted soul, Talia asks Jason for help. He agrees to take Damian to Bruce. Of course, he doesn’t realize what a spoiled brat the pre-teen is until they’re already on the way. Or that he’s Bruce’s biological son.
7) The other Teen Titans don’t take kindly to Jason drugging them and attacking one of their own. Instead of leaving it for the Bats to handle, they decide to track Jason down themselves. Kon, Bart, and Cassie naturally focus more on the whole ‘you hurt Tim again, we hurt you’ angle. Vic and Kori are cautious (they aren’t going to let any of the teens get hurt on their watch again) but a little more understanding. They want to protect the Teen Titans, but they also want to help Jason.
They explain that they didn’t put a statue of him up because of how much his death hurt Dick. They didn’t want him to keep seeing it and being reminded of the little brother he believed he failed. They tell Jason about the fights he and Bruce got into. Of the attempts both of them made on the Joker’s life. Of the way Dick feared he’d lose his father as well until Tim came along to save him.
Finally, they invite him to join the new Teen Titans, with the understanding that he isn’t going to be left alone with any of the younger members for a while, and under the condition that he agrees to see Kori’s psychiatrist in Metropolis.
He agrees.

Idk if this is a request or something but I just wanted to get it out there before I forget it. How would the batfam react to a batsis coming from the last of us universe?( the last of us is a zombie apocalypse type game.) How would they react to all of batsis PTSD from being born in a world over ran by zombie’s and learning to survive at a young age. How would they help them? How would they react if they ever were transported to there(batsis) world?
Sorry for this random ask I just wanted to get this out there before I forget about it. Anyway hope you have a great week!
SOFT YANDERE BATFAM x THE LAST OF US! READER BRAINROT
Recently had a TLOU brainrot (at this point it’s more of a heartrot with how devastating the story is eugh) so this came at a perfect timing. I’m guessing batsib (I’ll make it gn I hope you don’t mind anon) has a similar life to elle if they’re not just elle entirely.
I think Batsib would have to be close to the boys before they eventually spill their guts (aka their severe trauma out).
Like when they’re at least 60% there on the yan scale of things.
They see signs like you being hella adamant on the boys at least trying to fix their relationship with Bruce since you know the most out of everyone how it feels to lose a father figure.
You’re the closest with Jason purely because you both have baggage, and luckily you like to talk about it and sort it out.
Your whole life had been the apocalypse so going to Gotham and seeing everything in its prime fascinated you. When the Batfam first took you in due to your status as an anomaly, it took very little to impress you.
But it also took a lot to terrify you.
If we’re going full on Ellie! Reader here then them (batfam) seeing that huge bite mark on your arms, presumably after you’ve dumped info on your past and your reality, almost turned them feral.
It was that moment they decided to never let you go back.
You’re allowed to join them with their vigilante activities as long as you were under strict surveillance.
Bruce is kind of off-put by your nonchalance when it comes to beating up people to a pulp. He had to jump in and stop you from completely killing a dude.
Jason on the other hand approves. Definitely eggs you on.
The rest of the boys, as is my headcannon with any violent MC, get turned on when they see you covered in blood.
In summary, they definitely cherish you more. The spoiling is dialed up to eleven. And since you didn’t know much of the world prior to its apocalypse state, they wouldn’t lock you up like in most cases and instead bring you to explore as much as you’d like.
There is a sick part of them that enjoys your PTSD and how dependent (and distrusting of others) you can be because of it. So unless it gets really bad where you can’t get sleep at all I can see them just not trying to get help for you.
ON THE MORE WHOLESOME SIDE:
I am now imagining reader going to a museum with them all and just climbing the fossil in front of like dozens of people while screaming “LOOK AT ME I’M ON A MOTHERFUCKING DINOSAURRRR!”
Bruce definitely had to pay a lot for that
and all the younger ones + Dick cause he’s Dick throwing fedora hats on all the dinos??? please im on my knees that’s too cute augh-
If they were ever transported in your world, it’d definitely be the other way around. Say you aren’t like Ellie and are completely susceptible to the infection- oof you might as well just be in jail.
They’ll disinfect everything. Masks 24/7. Generally just extremely careful as to not get infected or infect you in any shape or form.
Tim has already researched on fungal infections so you bet he’s ready. Wouldn’t be surprised if he single-handedly ends the apocalypse with how thorough he was. Him, Dick, and Alfred focus more on taking care of you.
Jason and Damian are more with survival and the annihilation of anything that may be dangerous to you within the vicinity. May it be zombies, thieves, the military and what not.
Bruce is probably tinkering on more equipment and helping Tim with actually getting rid of the fungi. The former will definitely use his charm and looks to get more supplies.
In short, these dudes have everything on lockdown.
You’ll wish you didn’t come back to your original world.
A.N. I hope this was to your liking anon!

New Fic!
Theft in the Family...By Jason Todd
Talia tasks Jason with taking Damian to his father, and a few things change
Primary Tags: jason and damian met in the league, mainly fluff
I've written through half of chapter 4, i'm expecting 5-6 chapters
Chapter 1 under the cut:
word count: 1327
Jason’s life changed (for the third—fourth? Fifth? Fuck Jason’s lost count—time) the day Talia burst into his room in the league headquarters.
Jason snaps to attention, drawing the knife from under his pillow.
Talia may be like a mother to him, and he may love her little boy more than anything, but this is still the league. If you’re not hypervigilant, you’re dead. Threats are everywhere, even where you don’t expect them.
“The clown is dead.” She announces.
Jason relaxes, then tenses up again once the words register.
“You’re not kidding.”
“No. I have personally ensured it.”
“What…what about the plan?”
“It has been changed. You will still go to Gotham, but you must take Damian with you.”
“What.” He didn’t mind Damian coming with him, but taking him from Ra’s was declaring war on the league.
“I need you to deliver him to his father. It is not safe for him here.”
When Jason agrees, she hands over a letter.
“Give this to my Beloved. Come, you leave now.”
“I’m—I’m not packed.” He didn’t want to see Bruce, maybe he could keep Damian for himself?
As soon as the thought pops in his head, he dismisses it. He wouldn’t be able to give Damian a fulfilling life, he’s barely 17 for fuck’s sake. (He thinks, anyway, the whole being dead thing makes knowing his age difficult).
“You will find everything you need on the plane.”
They weave through the labyrinth of corridors, eventually reaching the plane Talia’s arranged.
Damian is already there, sitting primly in one of the chairs in the cargo hold.
Talia exchanges a tearful goodbye (on Damian’s side, Talia is as immovable as ever) with her 6 year old, and Jason readies for takeoff.
When they arrive in Gotham, Jason lands at a private airstrip just outside of Gotham. Bruce would probably find out about it, since he seems to know fuckin’ everything, but that’s really not Jason’s problem right now. Talia had provided a small car, so he packs Damian into the backseat and drove off towards Bristol.
“Alright, Princeling, the rules are different here. Your father has two other kids, and you need to get along with them. No killing, no maiming, no trying to assert yourself as the rightful heir.”
“But I am the rightful heir, am I not?”
It still shocked him how formal Damian was. No matter how many times he heard it, hearing a six year old talk like he’s an old monarch or some shit is something you never get used to.
“It doesn’t work like that here. Bruce…Bruce loves his children equally,” Jason may not believe it—the Old Man has favorites, and you can never convince him otherwise—but Damian needs to. Bruce needs to accept Damian, and that won’t happen if the kid is trying to kill his siblings. “No killing and no maiming are the main rules, but make sure you listen to whatever Bruce and Alfred say, alrigh’?”
“Ok, Akhi.” Damian’s voice is sleepy, and Jason can practically hear him drifting off.
He smiles softly, having Damian around helped tremendously with getting the Pit Rage under control, and he’s sure that’s what Talia’s plan was. The rage is useful for some things, but if she wanted to get Damian out of Nanda Parbat for his safety, she had to make sure he wouldn’t be overcome with pit rage and kill the kid.
The drive passes pretty quickly, though he does catch a few glimpses of Bats on rooftops on his way to the manor. He makes sure they haven’t followed him, and then parks in the woods about a mile from the manor.
“C’mon, Habibi.” He grabs Damian out of the backseat and settles him on his hip.
“I can walk, I am not a child!” His voice is still sleepy, but the exclamation is still there.
Jason couldn’t help but snort.
“Actually, by definition, you are a child. I’m not making you walk a mile, I can carry you.”
“I can walk, Todd!”
“Quiet, Habibi. You’re not walking.”
“Tt.” Damian huffs but settles down.
The walk passes quickly, if you ignore Damian’s annoyed grumbling, and then they’re standing before the gates of the manor.
Well, kind of.
They’re standing off to the side and in one of the camera blind spots.
Jason takes a second to analyze the fence line, and finds a shorter tree they could climb and hop over.
Hopefully Bruce didn’t drastically change the security measures on the grounds.
He carries Damian over to the tree and prompts him to grab the lowest branch. Once he is safely sitting in the tree, Jason climbs up after him.
”Can you jump over the fence and land safely?”
Damian tosses a scathing glare (well…as scathing as a six year old can be) at Jason and prepares to jump.
”That wasn’t an answer, and I really need one. The ‘safely’ was the most important part of that.”
”Tt.” Damian throws himself off the branch, flipping in the air and lands softly on the ground.
”You’re gonna get along so great with Golden Boy…” Jason mutters before following. He doesn’t flip, but he does manage to land almost as softly as Damian. He eyes the yard for a few seconds, trying to spot the security triggers.
He scoops Damian up again and picks his way across the yard, heading for the Manor.
He stops a little ways away, within view of the driveway and front door. “Ok, I’ll stay here until you’re inside.”
Damian furrows his brow and turns his inquisitive gaze on Jason. “You are not coming with me?”
”This isn’t my home anymore, Princeling.” He smiles sadly, “Your father won’t want me around, this is somewhere you have to go alone.”
”I do not want to live there without you! Why can’t I stay with you?”
”You need to stay with your father. He can keep you safe.” Jason crouches to be eye level with him, and runs a hand through Damian’s soft hair. “I will always come if you call, Habibi. I promise you.” He tugs two letters out of his jacket, one for Bruce and one for Alfred.
He wrote the one for Alfred specifically. Damian needs to know how to contact Jason, and therefore someone in the family will too.
“Give these to Alfred Pennyworth when he opens the door.” He hands them to Damian, “Go on now.”
”No! You can’t leave me.”
”Damian.”
”Why do you have to leave me?” Damian’s eyes started watering.
”I don’t belong here, ok? I can’t stay.”
Damian huffs and glares at him, tears still leaking out of his eyes.
“I’m sorry, but you need to go.” Jason pulls him in for a quick hug. “I love you, Habibi. If you need me, tell Alfred, alrigh’? He’ll be able to contact me.”
Damian doesn’t respond, just buries his face in Jason’s chest, in an uncharacteristic show of affection.
Eventually, Damian pulls away and wipes his eyes. “I do not want you to go, Akhi.”
If Jason stays any longer he just might stay, damn Damian’s convincing.
“I can’t, Dami. Bruce doesn’t want me!”
”How do you know?”
I’m not your father. I don’t have to deal with your teenage rebellion.
I’m not your father
I’m not your father
”Because he fuckin’ told me so, kid.”
”Tt.”
”Dami…” Jason sighs, “I’ll visit, how ‘bout that? I’m sure we can figure it out.”
”That is acceptable, I suppose,” Damian’s tone is sullen, and he refuses to meet Jason’s eyes.
”Good. Now go on, the bats will probably be back from patrol soon.”
Damian darts in for another quick hug, then makes his way towards the door.
Jason watches as he knocks, then a few seconds later Alfred opens the door. Damian hands over the letters and is ushered inside.
Time for Jason to head out, then.
“Bye, Habibi.” He murmurs, then leaves the way he came.

Okay hi I’m new here and there’s been two things I’ve seen that I feel like gets mentioned a lot but I’ve never really seen the proof? It’s Dick being the Robin the Joker hated the most and Dick being Bruce’s contingency plan. Where did those two things come from? Hope you have a good day btw 💕
Hi!
Awww thank you <333
The Joker one comes from Batman and Robin (2011) Issue #15
Damian gets caught in Joker's trap and the Joker is just monologuing
Tumblr media
"I dreaded that first robin so"
He doesn't give a clear explanation but given the amount of times Dick tormented the Joker when he was robin and laughed at him, it's pretty clear why. Dick viewed the Joker as his personal whack-a-mole in his robin days.
Dick is the only robin Joker couldn't traumatize and he hates that.
Nightwing (2011) Issue #16 the Joker literally digs up the bodies of people from the Haley's circus he killed just to torment Dick with their deaths because he hates Dick.
Tumblr media
He does it just because he's mad and jealous. The joker's whole endgame is to turn Batman into a monster and he's super furious that Dick's existence keeps getting in the way of that.
Joker is obsessed with the robins' relationship with Batman. So for someone who wants the utter destruction of Batman's psyche, his least favorite and most hated person would be the one who constantly prevents that.
As for Dick being Bruce's contingency plan comes from Justice League 1997 Issue #69
The Justice League is dead and Bruce, ever the one with the contingency plan, gives a recording he made prior to such a thing
Tumblr media
He literally is like "we're dead. Suck it up."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And who does he chose as his contingency plan when everything goes wrong?
Tumblr media
"Nightwing. He is the best. The only one I could have picked to lead you. He will honor you. He will make you champions."
But Dick is not only the contingency plan if the entire Justice League is gone. In Superman/Batman Issue #55, Bruce gets Superman's powers and lets it go to his head.
Tumblr media
He literally tells the JL to screw off because he's keeping his powers and doing whatever the hell he wants with them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which okay, fine, but this Batman. Batman who is in a constant battle with self-control. Inevitable he goes overboard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He nearly kills Selina for stealing and shows no remorse or regret. He's losing it on his power high.
Until Dick steps in
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at the ease in which Dick fights Batman.
Ofcourse he eventually loses because he didn't bring Kryptonite but he managed to talk enough sense into Bruce to get the Justice League going
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's literally in a killing craze but takes the time to appreciate Dick and drop him off in Alfred's care.
So Dick is Bruce's contingency plan when he loses it or is dead.

To the Ends of the Universe Pt. 1 - Dick Grayson x Reader
Tumblr media
Pairings: Dick Grayson x Reader (Romantic), Bruce Wayne x Assistant!Pennyworth!Reader, Donna x Reader (Platonic)
Warnings: Death, cursing, violence, talk of self harm, talk of domestic abuse, talk of terminal illness and hospitals, experiments, smut (skippable)
(It's a long summary I know I'm sorry. Read it or don't.)
Summary: When you were 6 years old, you were diagnosed with a terminal illness. The doctors said there was nothing they could do, and your health would rapidly decline. You wouldn't live past 8 years old. Your parents refused to take that answer and decided to make their own cure for you. However, they couldn't stop there, they didn't just want to make you healthy, they wanted to make you super. Make sure nothing could put you in harms way ever again. After a faulty experiment when you were 10 years old, the lab they worked out of, killed your parents and left you a sole survivor.
When reports of a "super kid" loose on the streets reached Wayne Manor, Bruce picked you up. Alfred ended up adopting you legally, but when Bruce realized you had no control of your powers, he decided to train you. Teach you how to use your powers and keep them under control.
A year later Bruce adopted Dick. Growing up and Training side by side you and Dick were inseparable. Your crush on Dick, the cute guy you would with a year older than you, only got worse. As well as his protectiveness over you. Your relationship flourished and you two seemed unstoppable. But what happens when Dick convinces you to leave Gotham? Make a new life for yourselves all on your own.
Disclaimer: I am fully aware my timeline/numbers are screwy, don't think about it. This is based solely on the Titans show, it is definitely not comic accurate lol.
--------------------
"I wish we could stay like this forever" Dick says, his hand brushing my hair gently behind my ears. The night breeze blowing wisps of it back into my face. He leans in ever so slightly, his eyes locked in with mine. Looking at me full of love and admiration. Causing my heart to swell.
He's never failed to make me feel the way he did when we were kids.
I smile at him softly, tilting my head to lean my face into his gloved hand. Slowly, my hand reaches up to grasp around his wrist, pulling his hand away from my face.
I can tell through his mask that his face falls slightly. I cup his hand between both of mine in my lap. His gaze falls down.
"Dick," I sigh, squeezing his hand, watching as he casts his eyes away to look at the city lights below us, "Look at me... please" His eyes dart up to look at mine, flickering away slightly, "Stop stalling. You have to tell me eventually,"
He takes a deep breath. Eyes hardening.
"I am going to quit Robin, quit Batman. The whole thing."
My grip on his hand loosens a bit, the shock settling in, "W-what?"
"I can't do it anymore Y/n, I-I mean you've seen what it's done to me," His voice wavers a bit but his tone is harsh.
"Are you sure?"
"I can't be here anymore. This... place. It's making me a person I never wanna be. I'm becoming just like Bruce. A violent, paranoid, detached person."
"But-"
"No buts! I need to do this." He says, sounding completely serious.
My breath hitches a bit before I go to speak, letting go of his hand and shifting to sit an inch further from him, "Dick. I love you. I will always love you. Bruce saved us. Both of us. We'd be dead without him. But he's also done us some damage. I will miss you, with every part of my being but I think it's a good idea for you to go. Y-you should get out of here. You're right, G-gotham is eating you alive and I-I can see it. I am so sorry I let it happen without saying anything. B-but you are going to do great things out in the world."
My lips wobble as tears prick my eyes but I try to contain myself. Not wanting to make Dick feel guilty.
"Woahwoahwoah. Y/n. Baby. No. I want you to come with me. I need you with me." He says, almost launching himself, this time grabbing both my hands in his, forcing me to look up at him and his hopeful eyes.
"What? Dick... I.. I don't know. I mean, I don't want to lose you but Bruce needs me. I can't just abandon him. After everything he has done for me. Now that Alfred is gone... Batman can be Batman without a Robin. Bruce can't be Bruce without a Pennyworth. I owe it to him. I'm sorry Dick."
It is silent for a moment. The wheels in Dick's head churning away.
"Then I won't go."
"But-"
"No."
"Dick-"
"Y/n I can't leave you! I won't!"
"Dick that's crazy!" I yell, standing up on the ledge we were sitting on, throwing my hands up,
"What do you mean it's crazy?!"
"We have known each other all our lives. It's always been just the two of us. When is the last time you got close with anyone remotely close to our age since Bruce took us in? I mean seriously Dick!" Exasperated, I pause to catch my breath, "... I love you. You mean everything to me, but I refuse to hold you back! You've only ever known me, what if your true soulmate, the person you're really supposed to be with is out there! I mean, hell, Donna? Dawn? Someone new? If you go out there I know you will find someone. I mean, you're a catch Dick," I say, trying to pass it off as a joke with a forced laugh, however the softness of my tone does little to hide quiver in my voice, "I can't let you ruin yourself. I can't let you stay in Gotham and fall apart right in front of my eyes just for me." I say solemnly, looking down at my feet.
Dick gets up as well, chasing after me to the spot I stormed over to in my rant, "Are you kidding me Y/n? I love you! I don't want anyone else! Donna was a crush I had for a month and you know damn well Dawn and I didn't work out because I couldn't forget about you! I've always wanted you! I will always want you! No one out there is meant for me but you! You are my end game. Don't you understand that?" He shouted, his voice growing hoarse and cracking, the veins in his neck protruding slightly as he strained, "I will just work harder. Get stronger. If that's what it takes to stay with you it's what I'm gonna do."
There Dick stood, right in front of me, his chest heaving as he caught his breath. The air in front of his face fogging up.
My eyes filled with water as I fiddled with my fingers, "I'm sorry Dick," I barely whisper.
Without missing a beat Dick wraps his arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug and burying my face in his chest.
"Don't be sorry, just let me do this," His says, kissing the top of my head, "I'm not leaving you, okay?"
"Okay."
-------------------
"Thank you, Y/n." Bruce said, walking into the batcave.
"Always," I sigh, a smile on my face, spinning around in the chair at my console.
"I don't know what I would do without you," He says.
I pause, shocked that Bruce would say something so kind casually.
"I don't know either," I snicker. Standing up from my chair and pulling together all of my stuff, "Is there anything else you would like me to do before I tuck in for the night?"
"No thank you, you have done plenty tonight,"
"Okay," I sigh, "Please, Bruce... Get some sleep."
"No promises... but I'll try,"
With a smile I make my way out of the batcave and up the steps. My steps speeding up as I excitedly head up to Dick's room.
"Dick?" I call softly, poking my head around the doorframe.
Then I pause.
I hear something.
It sounds like... sniffling?
That can't be Dick.
Dick has cried in Wayne Manor since we were kids.
I hear a rushed shuffling followed by a hoarse, "Come in,"
Walking in wearily I see Dick, seated at the end of the bed, his cheeks stained with tears and his eyes painfully red.
"Oh.. babe," I say dropping, my stuff on the floor and finding myself at his side. Wrapping my arms around his broad shoulders the best I can. Rubbing his back and his shoulder gently.
He tries to shrug my arms off ever so slightly, "It's nothing, don't worry about it,"
Without saying anything I just continue to hold him, pulling him in a little tighter. Waiting patiently in silence.
After a little while, the sound of sniffling returns, his shoulders shaking. Dick leans over, resting his head on my chest, letting me wrap my arms around him fully. Only then does he release his tears fully. Allowing himself to sob in my arms.
"I-I almost b-beat somebody to d-death. Y/n I-I almost k-killed him," He struggles put in between his shaky breathes, "I-I don't like who I'm becoming," He says quietly to himself.
After that, I let him cry in my arms for hours. Until finally he had exhausted himself of all his tears and passed out. Tucking him into our shared bed, I admire him, looking more peaceful than I realize he has in a long time.
Shedding a few silent tears of my own, I climb into bed next to him. Finding myself exhausted but unable to let myself sleep. Not after this.
--------------------
"Hey" A voice whispers to me, disturbing me from my sleep, "Y/n"
Sitting up a bit, I rub my eyes, letting them adjust to the light. Turning my head, I see dick, already dressed and ready for the day.
Weird.
He usually wakes me up right away.
"Good morning baby," He says smiling and kissing my cheek, pretending like nothing happened the night before.
I just sit there, shocked, stunned, eyes wide.
"Did you sleep okay? I was thinking for breakfast I could-"
"Let's leave Gotham."
"-maybe make some..thing... wait, what did you say?"
"Let's quit. I'll go with you Dick,"
"But you said-"
"I changed my mind."
"But Bruce-"
"I care about you more."
He pauses for a minute, just starting at me, "Are you sure about this?"
"Dick...I want this, for you, and for me. I want to go with you."
My heart feels a bit heavy at just how much his face lights up when I say that. The guilt of ever making him stay here eating away at me.
"I love you," He says breathly and quickly before connecting our lips.
*Gets a little steamy here, skip if needed to the next red*
Gently, Dick pushes me down onto the bed, climbing on top of me.
He pulls away for a second, eyes filled with lust and love as he looks me over, "god I can't wait to start a new life with you,"
Without hesitating, he attaches his lips to my neck and slides his hand down the front of my pants, his fingers immediately find my clit.
"Fuck, Dick," I moan, throwing my head back.
"Your so fucking beautiful,"
His other free hand slips under the bottom of my shirt. Chills run down my spine at the feeling of his calloused hands grazing the skin of my waist.
Lifting his head from the crook of my neck, he begins to pepper kisses all over my face.
All of a sudden, the loud alarms of our phones go off. It's Bruce. Calling us down.
"Fuck." We both say.
I whine as Dick removes his hand from my pants.
Both of us panting slightly, looking each other before I finally say, "we have to actually go see what he needs, you know."
"I know," He says smirking, "I just need a minute to get rid of this hard-on you gave me,"
I roll my eyes, pushing him off me slightly, "You know... we have to tell him as well," I say, a little solemnly.
"Leave that me, don't worry," He says, reassuring me.
----------
*Time Skip*
"Here we go," I say, a wide smile plastered on my face that I can't contain.
Dick turns his head smiling back at me, one hand on the wheel of our truck and the other one rested on my thigh, "I'm so glad you came with me,"
"I'd follow you to the ends of the universe," I say to him, "I know you would too."

(harvey bullock in the batfam)
okay, so this post is to elaborate on something i was talking about in tags the other day etc. etc.
so basically, my whole point was that bruce is a little chaos gremlin. he has so many bad habits and does so many illegal activities completely nonchalantly that it sometimes can make people question his mental state.
of course, this all originated from his childhood and the way that he was raised. we know from the gotham tv (which this post is specific to) that bruce was close with his parents, though his father did have secrets that eventually killed him. nevertheless, bruce was raised well for the first 12 years of his life. very well, in fact. he was rich, he had a butler and two loving parents---he had a good life.
and then his parents were shot in front of him.
12 years old and bruce is reborn. bruce after isn't the same person as bruce before. after the shooting, bruce has a purpose and a meaning to life. he knows what he needs to do---protect gotham and her people. make a difference. (though i won't get too ahead of myself.)
it starts out small. thomas wayne (bruce's dad) made alfred promise to never bring bruce to a psychologist if he and his wife were killed. alfred kept this promise and never did, even though that was definitely what bruce needed at the time.
bruce coped badly, especially at first. he had no appetite and stopped eating. he started burning himself, cutting himself, and holding his breath underwater so he could "test himself" and "overcome fear" (which is actually a recurring theme in the show). he went to the roof of his house and stood on the ledge to make himself not fear heights.
it was obvious then that bruce needed help, but he didn't get it. instead, he got alfred (who i love!!). however, just because i love alfred doesn't mean i can't acknowledge that he is one of the main reasons bruce ended up the way he did.
it's no secret that bruce is a little messed up. we all know that, right? anyway, alfred did a lot of crazy stuff in his time taking care of bruce, which is understandable, because he wasn't expecting to one day be going about his day and suddenly find himself a single father. he was definitely going through it with guilt and despair after his bosses were killed. didn't help that he had to find a way to care for their son.
anyway, alfred is also a bit odd. he has a strong opinion on what it means to be strong and also a strong opinion on bruce being safe. once, bruce sprained his ankle hiking and alfred let him crawl up a hill for half an hour. however, he followed that up with honoring one of bruce's prized family traditions. alfred frequently was a bit rough when teaching bruce to fight, which, admittedly, bruce didn't seem to mind, but he once did punch bruce in the nose after purposefully distracting him to make a point about him not being ready.
i don't think learning to fight is harmful, of course. i just think that the way those two went about it was... interesting. and pretty cool. they have a great bond and i love that for him.
anyway, alfred never pushed back against him. thomas also told alfred to let bruce choose his own path like all waynes did, which is why bruce has way too much control over his own life way too early. (again, not blaming alfred per se. the man was grieving and following the order to the letter.)
this led to bruce doing more and more reckless things over time and learning way too much for his age. his gets involved in vigilatism around the age of 15 (i do believe? my timeline there is fuzzy) and, while alfred makes his disapproval known, he doesn't stop him.
alfred teaches bruce that he needs to be strong. he teaches him to always expect the worst. he teaches him to always be on guard and to never give up when facing opposition. these are not necessarily bad things.
then, there's jim gordon. jim was the first person to really talk to bruce after his parents were killed, and he promises bruce that he'll find the man who was responsible. over time as this is revealed to be much more complicated than expected, jim does not grow apart from the family. if anything, it just seems to make them all closer togehter. their lives are completely linked.
now, when jim talks, he has the crazy ability to make persuasive speeches. it's one of his things, a motif of his in the show---he always gives speeches, especially when motivating people. now, as a kid, freshly orphaned, bruce needed motivation. jim tells bruce a lot of things that could be misinterpreted and come back to hurt him. he also, however, draws him in closer to the mess that is gotham and it's crime world. this encouragement only makes bruce more determined to get involve over time.
now, i made a post saying that these two basically coparented bruce, and i stand by this. alfred did all of the day-to-day stuff and helped really form bruce as a person, but jim was the one who really imparted his morals and hope on bruce.
jim taught bruce that everyone can be redeemed, and anyone can be saved. just like batman believes.
jim and bruce talk about darker and more complicated things as time passes. for example, they once talked about how you sometimes need to let go of your own pride in order to take care of other people (which ended up with a lot of bad results)
this leads to jim killing someone and bruce's brain being changed. he gets most of his morals from jim most likely, and jim is not necessarily particularly "good" often. he violates police procedure and the law frequently to help people.
now, jim's partner is harvey bullock. while he and bruce aren't the closest in the canon material for the show, they did have a few notable interactions and i believe that we can really extrapolate here.
before, i said that harvey would freak out at the realization that he's old. i stand by this. however, harvey also knows that he's getting older and will eventually need to leave the force in jim's hands.
harvey is a very blunt man. he knows how to lie but he doesn't really ever do so unless his life depended on it. when he talks to bruce, the two of them really click. despite harvey having committed so many crimes and broken many, many departmental policies, it is shown that he is still a good man deep down.
harvey tells bruce stories all the time. he talks to him about the legal AND illegal things that he has done both on and off the job, and bruce picks up on way too many of him. he gets /ideas/. he has the money, after all. he can learn how to do that stuff.
bruce really just wants to make life better for the others tbh. that's like his life goal. harvey basically teaches bruce how to emulate the more gritty parts of batman---torture in interrogation, breaking and entering, gathering information, how to break the law without getting caught, etc. etc. of course, some of his terms really rub off on bruce.
i'm imagining bruce calling someone "putz" as an insult. it's just so funny to me
i was falling asleep while writing this so i'm gonna snooze now and maybe add more later bcuz that was a bit lacking in harvey sorry!!

Okay okay but if Alfred was pretending to not be pack so that he could get custody of Bruce but Bruce is a pup who just lost his parents and has this gaping hole when two members of his pack used to be, how would Alfred pretending not to be pack affect him?
Would he feel rejected by Alfred which leads to him suppressing is parental bond that forms with Alfred because to him, he knows Alfred doesn't see him as pack
I think it would be very, very confusing those first few moments. Because Bruce has a pack bond with Alfred already — not as strong as the one with his parents, but damn close. And he was too young to really understand why they could be pack at home but not always outside.
So when he loses his parents’ bonds, Alfred is the only thing he has left. But Alfred can’t show that while they’re in public, can’t comfort him beyond what a normal friend or acquaintance would do. But he still smells and feels like pack to Bruce? Like safety and the last bit of home he still has.
And Alfred has to pull all of that back — his love, his scent, his everything — until they’re home. And I’m sure for a moment, Bruce thought he’d lost all three of them.
I’m a softie so I like to think they reestablish their pack bonds and live happily as a beta and pup until Bruce presents, but I agree the whole thing could and probably did have an effect on how Bruce viewed all bonds.
When Bruce presents omega, denying his pack bond with Alfred was more of a secondary result of him denying his own instincts. By taking suppressants and trying to live without a dynamic, he was (involuntarily?) cutting off Alfred, even if that wasn’t his intention.
And eventually, Alfred could see how much him being visibly beta reminded Bruce of his own dynamic, and he pulled back his own scent and instincts. I’m sure it nearly killed him — that’s why everyone keeps remarking upon how much happier Alfred seems in ASOH, when he can he thoroughly beta again.

You have any Wilson family headcanons to spare? Especially on Rose & Grant?
DO I EVER!!! Gosh where do I even start
I mentioned to a friend of mine the other day that I think Slade was a leash kid, and I stand by that whole heartedly. He wanted to raise Grant as a leash kid too, simply because he thought you were supposed to, but Adeline threatened his life so it never happened. This was the first of many times he was confronted with the concept that maybe his home life wasn't great.
He would not even begin reflecting on this until almost a decade later. He still doesn't really consider himself a victim and honestly most of his shitty parenting comes from him just having no clue what he's doing. He's aware that he's bad at it, but instead of trying to improve he just tries to avoid his kids in hopes that they'll be better off without him.
Also he grew up in 1950's-60's Appalachia, I think he's more superstitious than he lets on. I imagine he grew up hearing about family curses and old wives tales, and while on some level he recognizes that Fran likely just used those stories to cope with the situation there's also a part of him that believes it for the same reasons she did. He's not a victim, he can't be, so it must not have been abuse. Which eventually turned into him just kind of accepting that he was always going to be a bad father, that there was never a chance for him to have a family and any attempt he makes will just end up worse than the last.
It makes it easier to maintain his self imposed isolation that way.
Adeline is a lot more interesting than people give her credit for. I like to think she was born and raised in a big city like New York or maybe Gotham if I wanted to be funny. She was definitely a wild child, and that was something that didn't change during her first marriage.
I truly do believe that Count whats-his-face (I don't care enough to look him up) tried exactly once to hit her and he ended up with three bullet wounds that all knicked arteries. It was his only warning and he was smart enough to know that.
Addie is loyal to the end, she's the kind of person that steadfastly refuses to let go of people she cares about. In basically ever version of her story she tries, she tries so hard to make things work. I once compared her to the Greek myth of Medea and I think about the comparison often.
I also think that Adeline was always her father's daughter, whether she liked it or not. I don't remember if it was canon that she was raised primarily by her dad but I only remember her dad being mentioned so I think she grew up in a single parent household and was mostly left to her own devices as a kid. She probably grew up really close with her cousin, most people probably thought they were sisters.
Mayflower fucking HATES Slade, she was advocating for the divorce before they were even married. I know in my heart she was Slade's biggest hater. Her and Slade talked mad shit about each other but they were also gossip buddies for the longest and it was the only thing that stopped her from beating his ass all the time.
SladeAddie is so toxic Bi4Bi coded. Really funny to me that Addie was probably older than Slade, do you know the kind of rizz you have to possess to bag a milf that could kill you in 20 different ways before you could blink? One who's already been divorced? What charm was this freshly 18 year old drop out exuding to be pulling like this?
When do you think he told her that he lied to the recruiter about his age and he wasn't actually 23 or whatever? Did he ever tell her? Did she figure it out herself? It was literally never addressed but I think about it all the time.
Slade is definitely still mildly in love with her and falls a little all over again every time she deals him grievous bodily harm. I don't know his thing for people who hate him is probably a self conscious way to punish himself for sucking all the time.
Billy and Alfred being friends is a headcanon that I literally never stop thinking about. Why wouldn't they be old friends or whatever? They have tea the 4th Tuesday of every other month. They complain about their respective morons and brag about the kids they have to take care of because their morons won't.
Billy is definitely a British rock fan and he fucking HATES country music. Slade starts playing it in the car and Billy threatens to crash the whole car just to make a point.
He's like maybe 5 years older than Slade if I'm being generous about it, he just looks older next to Slade because he's not hopped up on super serum.
He's the one Rose gives her father's day gifts to <3
SladeBilly is canon to me, no way Slade is capable of spending that much time with someone without sleeping with them at least once. It might be the healthiest relationship he's ever had with anyone and Billy barely tolerates him.
Lilian Worth my beloved,,,,,,they gave her such a white ass name. I choose to believe that she changed it later on for anonymity. Chea Nath is a name she hasn't used in a while, but it's still one she holds dear.
She seems like someone who was really into ballet, and probably someone who was really good at it too.
She's one of those characters that we don't really have any information on, which leaves a lot of wiggle room backstory wise. I probably write too much about characters with poor backgrounds (surprise your bitch grew up impoverished) so I guess I'll let Lili have this one.
Diplomats daughter, her and her mom were really close growing up, and she seems like she grew up with sisters. She's got that middle sister energy to her, growing up everyday was a fight and let's just say she didn't lose often.
If Adeline is Medea, Lili is definitely Circe. Versatile, powerful, a man hater, and she'll do anything to protect her girls.
Honors student, her grades never dropped below an A- and she has degrees in everything from fine art to communications. Rose went to college purely because her mom made it clear that not going was not an option.
Grant is one of my favorite characters. Ever. He's definitely an old school country enjoyer, much to Billy's chagrin and Slades secret delight.
He was the boy who climbed up the tallest trees to prove he could and then came home with a thousand little scrapes on him.
He has a bee allergy.
He's the least enhanced of his siblings but he still has a meta gene, I think the reason the H.I.V.E. serum didn't activate it like it should have is because his power was the mental kind and not the physical kind so his body couldn't hold up against it even while his psychic powers were getting stronger.
Painted his nails one(1) time, it was a dried up iridescent blue that Addie dug up and was going to throw away but Grant wanted to try it. He didn't know what nail polish remover was though so he scraped his teeth on his nails to get it all off but he couldn't get all of it and he almost cried so hard he threw up at dinner that night because he was scared of Slade noticing (Slade didn't notice and wouldn't have cared if he did).
Thought he was SO stealthy when he snuck out but literally everyone knew because he always came home smelling like weed, hungover, and he went to school in the same clothes he wore to go out. Most of the time Addie didn't care (See above: "former wild child") but Slade "Biggest loser in his hometown" Wilson always had an issue with it.
Officially his tomb is located in the Kane family plot but he's actually buried in Slades hometown next to his grandmother. (Adeline is not aware of this)
Joey was actually the one who pulled most of the pranks when they were kids, but Grant always took the fall. Mostly because literally no one would believe it even if Joey said he did it. Which he tried to do, many times.
Grant taught Joey to make flower crowns but he never admitted it because he thought it made him look weak. He still keeps the few that Joey made for him though, they're basically turning to dust in the drawer he hid them in to this day. They're one of the few things that weren't torn down and shoved in the attic after his death.
Joey still celebrates Grant's birthday every year, him and mom play The Last Man by Clint Mansell on the piano because it was his favorite piece to play before he stopped because it wasn't "cool".
Grant tried to get Joey to come with him when he ran away but Joey didn't want to leave Addie. Joey ended up moving into Grant's old apartment, he often thinks of what life would be like if he'd taken up the offer.
Grant is THE ass hole big brother from the late 90's/early 2000's. Down to the mullet and the shirt with the sleeves cut off. He used to steal Addie's eyeliner and she would get so mad because that stuff is EXPENSIVE and he's just smearing however. She teaches him how to do it properly but he says it makes him look "too girly".
Grant's picture is the only one in Slades wallet because he doesn't have to worry about putting him in danger anymore.
DON'T let Joey's "natural" pretty boy look fool you he has a 20 step skin routine and a 15 step hair routine and he wakes up at the ass crack of dawn to start on his makeup.
He used to get the worst acne as a pre-teen and he has physically burned all the evidence except for one picture of him and Slade on a fishing trip when he was like thirteen, he doesn't know it exists and it's the only picture Slade consistently travels with.
He doesn't want to be the favorite but he would get mad if someone else was the favorite because what work were YOU even putting in for it.
He has 12 year old boy humor I fear. Giggles at dick jokes and has used his name to make "Joe Mama" jokes on various occasions.
Number one Mama's boy of all time, there's not a single time they've gone out in public together where they haven't had coordinated outfits. Him and Addie call biweekly to shit talk people and exchange recipes and the like.
Joey is THE biggest gossiper. He'll talk shit about people right in front of them if he's sure they don't know ASL and whoever is around just has to try not to laugh while they "translate" him.
He's so good at convincing people to do things for him just by looking at them with his big ol' eyes. And he's a theater kid so his expressions are really exaggerated.
Rose, my muse. I know canonically she's a smoker but I'm changing that to her being a vaper. I don't know she just looks like she'd beat the shit out of you for a cherry lemon cancer stick.
Energy drinks don't work on her in normal amounts so to rectify that she constantly walks around with horrific concoctions in a water bottle the size of her head.
She street races as R4V4G3R and she's pretty good at it. She learned a lot about cars doing it which is how Slade justified being an anonymous benefactor for her.
The few weeks Slade had her she ran that shit like the navy. Up at 6 AM on the dot, tight ass ponytail swaying as she got ready for school. She was out that door by 7:25 everyday and she would MAKE Slade violate traffic laws to get to school by 7:35.
Has bitten people before and will do it again.
Had the BIGGEST crush on Donna Troy when she was on the Teen Titans. She didn't know it then but she did. Her taste in women really hasn't changed at all.
Only has her grunge thing going on when she's planning on meeting people, average day outfit is all pastels and florals that her mom used to pick out for her.
Got pretty much all of Lili's stuff, her main apartment is always Immaculately decorated. She also lives in L.A. because literally fuck New York. She's trying to get her engineering degree in PEACE.
She looks up to Grant a lot, she really only has Joey's account of things and he only tells her the good stuff. How he was brave, and strong, and funny. When she was younger she really wanted to be like him, but that was the last thing Slade wanted. So obviously she named herself Ravager out of spite.
Rose is the shortest one in the family but she's buff as hell, my girl is built like a fridge and she knows it. Joey tried to rest his arm on her head one and she stabbed him. It didn't go through his armor obviously but it did leave a mildly annoying bruise that he pouted about for a week.
She low-key really likes Addie but she tends to stay away because of the whole "child of infidelity" thing. She HAS threatened to call Addie on Slade multiple times.
Grew up with a bunch of other kids so she never really wanted siblings, but she would kill for Joey. She'd like a sister though. Really misses her cousins and aunts from the brothel but doesn't want to put them in danger by talking to them.
She's fond of kids but wouldn't want her own because she doesn't want to bring a kid into the kinda life she has, or their family in general.
Routinely takes jobs from Slade because she knows full well he won't do shit. And she's right every time he makes it into a team up that usually ends with them fighting but sometimes, every once in a while, they do something nice together and it makes her remember why she wanted to find him so bad when she was 13.
I don't like her carving her eye out for Slade I thought the whole concept of her idolizing Slade was fucking stupid. She tolerates him at best. So I like to attribute it to her visions, I think the blind prophet symbolism is really fun. Especially because then we can have a Prometheus type situation where her eye patch keeps switching sides/sometimes she's not blind because she keeps carving them out in fits of Seer Madness™️ but they keep regenerating.
SHE HAS BROWN EYES HER EYES ARE BROWN I KNOW HER PERSONALLY PLEASE LET HER KEEP EVEN ONE OF HER ETHNIC FEATURES I BEG!!!

Can I ask for headcanons about the Robins?
Yes, absolutely! I have some batfam headcanons here (and probably a bunch more in my tags), so these ones will focus on them as robins
Dick
Such a little shit, but almost impossible to control because of his unlimited energy
while, as nightwing, he's used to being the eldest, when he was robin, he was almost always the youngest around, so he suffered a lot of the younger sibling torture at the hands of the titans and yj
while bruce wanted dick to be more serious, especially when he's leading a team, i think he was actually terrible at it until jason came around, i don't think this boy could deliver a single command to the titans without bursting out laughing
i think the older people in the titans would probably tickle him when he tried to lean too hard into the whole serious bat thing, to remind him that he's just a kid, and being a twelve year old is more important for his development than fighting crime
while it embarrasses dick immensely to outright admit he likes being tickled, the titans, bruce, and alfred all found out pretty damn fast
dick would get a bit too hyper and end up bouncing (literally) off the walls, hanging from wayne manor chandeliers, and bruce would have to find a way to wrangle him down, eventually he realized that tickling was a great way to drain all of dick's energy (at least for an hour or two)
at some point, while dick would still pretend to put up a fight when peeled down from the ceiling, he would let bruce catch him much easier because he'd be excited for the tickles
i think he's probably ask bruce for soft tummy tickles or back tickles to fall asleep sometimes
Jason
when jason first moved to the manor, he was prickly, to say the absolute least, and it probably took a while for him to warm up to touch given that he grew up in crime alley
the first time that jason doesnt flinch away when dick, alfred, or bruce go to touch him, they consider it a huge win, but still, none of them want to push it too far out of fear that jason will become all skittish again
i think they probably find out that jason is ticklish after patrol, when he's getting checked for injuries,, alfred was probably just trying to check his ribs and jason started to giggle uncontrollably, and suddenly everyone was trying to hide that their attention was on jason being adorable
when jason started leaning into touches is when everyone took it as a sign that he completely trusted them, because jason is not one to tell anybody what he wants, even if he doesn't have to say it out loud
after that, dick took it as free reign to tease jason all he wanted
jason was insanely ticklish when he was robin, but even if he was completely breathless with tears streaming down his face, he would never admit that he was.... but dick still tried to get him to admit it every time
bruce wasnt sure if jason would be anything like dick, but he did try the soft tummy and back tickles on jason to see if he found it relaxing, unfortunately for jason, he found even that to be unbearably ticklish, though he did love bruce's affection
Damian
i always forget that he's literally just a kid, like he's literally pocket sized
not incredibly ticklish like jason was when he was robin, but ticklish enough everywhere that he will at least giggle steadily, even if the spot isnt that bad
he would kill anyone who even attempted to say it out loud but he adores being tickled by his family
i think he loves all affection from his family in general, especially dick and bruce, but he's going to argue, insult, and fight his way through it no matter the form, including tickling
damian is 100% the type to dish out black eyes and bloody noses while he's being tickled
he does actually like back and neck tickles from dick when he's going to sleep, but he cant help himself from laughing, even though he likes how it feels
gets tickled most often by dick and bruce, but every once in a while he'll get thrown over jason's shoulder and tickled until he's actually saying "please stop" instead of just demanding that jason stop
Tim
his ticklishness is pretty similar to dick's, though he can't handle even a second of anticipation, both as robin and as red robin
this is something dick knew very well, and he would use it against tim at any opportunity, just hovering his fingers an inch away from a ticklish spot and watching tim giggle hysterically as if he really is getting tickled
he finds it to be a lot more flustering than his brothers do, and he can't handle teasing at all
after jason's death, dick made sure that tim knew how much he appreciated and loved him, which included A LOT of affection (enough to make up for two brothers)
as a result, i think dick probably found out that tim was ticklish first, by manoeuvring him while they were cuddling or trying to give him a massage
when tim was robin, he would laugh so hard it would even surprise himself, he wouldn't be able to make out a single word while getting tickled silly by dick or bruce
weirdly, i think tim was probably the best at hiding it too,,, i think, while he can't handle anticipation, if someone accidentally brushed him, or if he knew he was going to get checked for injuries, he'd be able to school his features pretty well for a little bit
i think, as robin, he hated the earpieces because the vibrations when someone was talking over the comms tickled too much, though he eventually grew out of it (aka replaced just his comms system with one that wouldn't vibrate so he wouldn't giggle out loud on patrol)

SUPERHERO BATTLE, GO!
All propaganda and what each competitor is from under the cut
Bruce Wayne/Batman (From a lot of things)
Without being an orphan, Bruce Wayne never would've become Batman. Its so integral to his entire character. It's also, I think, where his whole "no killing" rule stems from. He's also iconic for adopting several other orphans after becoming Batman - orphan helping orphans.
He lost his parents, and swore he'd take revenge, fully willing to die in the process. Then he did something he couldn't have expected…he built a new family, raising dozens of other orphans or just other kids willing to help him.
Being an orphan fucked him up so bad he started dressing like a bat and jumping through windows looking for crime.
He's Batman.
Bruce Wayne / Batman is the orphan of all times. Everyone knows about him and the tragedy turning him into an aloof justicier with poor social skills determined to put an end to crime in the rotten city of Gotham while offering an amiable and brainheaded facade of idle billionaire with too much time on his hands to the public
There are a lot of different versions of Batman so this is based off the ones I have watched and liked. Bruce Wayne is Batman because of his parents death, if he wasn't an orphan he would not be Batman. Lots stories have characters that are orphans, but with many of them their parents could just be on holiday and the story would be the same, for Batman/Bruce Wayne, his parents death is the event he has built his entire life around. If the Wayne's are not murdered, leaving Bruce an orphan, a fundamental building block, possibly the fundamental building block, of Batman is gone and the rest of the story would probably not happen.
I am the darkness. I am the night. Alfred please I don't want your cup of tea and leave me alone so I can brood in peace
Literally one of the most iconic orphans in pop culture. His parents were shot to death in front of him, ruining any attempt at good mental health. I won't get into a tangent on comics continuity so in the version that's generally accepted as Canon nowadays (or as canon as it gets for comics), his butler raised him, which makes them have a weird power dynamic as a parent/child but also master/servant relationship. Later in life, he goes on to adopt several kids, one of which is also an orphan that he keeps at arms length and not actually formally adopted until adulthood, and whose parents died at the same age his did. He's a character perpetually stuck in his own cycles while trying to break it so that no more eight year olds are left alone in alleyways (Also, in current comics, the butler is dead! We'll see how long that lasts).
DARKNESS! NO PARENTS!
This is where I watched my parents die, Fictional-Orphan-Smackdown.
Look I assume he's already on the list. He's the poster child for orphans. It's just funny to add yet another vote for him. Being an orphan affected him so bad it became a core part of his identity as an adult with a father figure (Alfred).
Peter Parker/Spiderman (He's also from a lot of things)
Orphaned twice over
Both of Peter's parents are dead so he's raised by his aunt and uncle, his uncle dies as part of his origin story. His aunt often dies eventually too, but she may come back depending on continuity (ex. Peter in the comics made a deal with the devil to sacrifice his marriage and child to bring Aunt May back)
It’s Spider-Man guys. Coolest guy ever.

AU where Talia decided to raise Damian in Metropolis and Jason decided to ignore Batman and go with her
Damian is still trained, but not as intensely (Talia allowed it because she knows very well how many enemies Ra's and Batman have, she wants her son to be ready to defend himself if necessary, but always vigilant so that Damian's training is not exhausting and terrible)
Then when Damian has 8 (or 10), she just looks for her father and says "bye"
Ra's is a good grandfather who loves his grandchildren (Damian and Mara), he is just a weird magic man for them (he is still the demon but not for his people and family)
So the trio move to Metropolis, Talia to get the job with Lex and Bruce almost had a heart attack because JESUS CHRIST IS THAT JASON TODD?! AND WHO IS THAT TINNY SMOL BOY NEXT TO HIM?!
Jason still hates Batman and tries to kill Tim (they'll get along later but not now)
Jason talks shit about Batman all time and Damian believes in him because old brother Jason knows things, and then Damian also dislikes his father
Jason became a crime lord in Gotham to piss Bruce off and annoying Dick and Tim, Talia just asked Jason don't put Damian in this crime thing, Jason and Talia tried to keep Damian a part of this mess crime and hero thing
Damian, like all other children in his age, is curious and impulsive. Then he stole a ninja costume and went to Gotham because he is curious about his father and the others brothers
And then he met Dick
Dick is just tired of Jason messing around but he recognizes a curious kid when he sees one (and he is also curious about Damian - no one knows Damian is Bruce blood son yet)
Dick and Damian become weird friends eventually (as canon their relationship is slowly but strong in the end)
When Jason finds out about Damian's new friend, he tries to hunt Dick down
Too late
Damian now has a cow and Dick has Damian's DNA
All the Batfam goes crazy because THIS BOY IS YOUR SON!!
just thinking about 'Damian, I need to tell you something, you're the son of the Batman' - Dick
'yeah, I know' Damian knew it all along because Talia told him and Jason about Damian's father
Steph and Cass are also curious about this little boy and kidnapped him to a playdate (and also annoying Jason and Bruce)
Damian dislikes Tim Drake because Jason told him to do so and he will listen to his older brother (they'll eventually get along)
Bruce tries to get close to Damian a few times and Jason always stops him. Whenever the two meet it is a terrible fight, both emotional and physical (Jason just gatekeeping Damian rn)
Talia could help Bruce, but she decides whatever Jason is doing is funnier, then she allows Jason to bully his dad for a while
Maybe it's Jason's rude words, the guilt of not being seen with the same admiration for the boy anymore, making Bruce become "softer" and try to get involved in Jason and Damian's lives because he doesn't want to make mistakes like he did in the past
somehow this becomes a mess in the media, after all Talia and Bruce are rich (she is richer than him) and a child custody dispute is always crazy and the favorite dish for reporters
the plan about protecting Damian from media harassment just fell apart (thanks Bruce and his bad decisions)
Talia and Jason were almost planning to send Damian to spend time on an Al Ghul family island when the images began to disappear from the internet almost instantly
This happened because the batkids worked together because 'Jason is our brother and Damian is also our brother'
When Jason goes to confront Dick about this, Dick says it's all Tim's plan (he knows about the assassination attempts and he doesn't want the family fighting)
Tim and Jason get along after this
"but you say he is a bitch' - Damian about Tim
'yeah, but he is a friend now' - Jason
Somehow Dick lures Damian in the mansion to him met Alfred
so while the media is covering the whole spectacle of the custody fight over Damian, Damian, Talia and Jason are having tea with Alfred and ignoring Bruce
And Jason still is a crime lord
Eventually Bruce gets the right to see Damian (I want to bully this man a little after Gotham War)
Damian doesn't go to school, but he still meets Jon and Kathy at a farming event because he wants to show off Batcow
They becomes friends there (Clack and Lois have no idea that this Damian who Jon is talking about is Damian Wayne, but they're super happy because Jon is making more friends)
Damian invites Jon to his birthday party, something that makes all of Kent very happy
Damian's birthday becomes incredibly awkward once Clack encounters Bruce and the Batkids, Talia Al Ghul, Jason Fucking Todd, Ra's Al Ghul, and some other assassins and children of assassins that Talia and Damian trust
Also Maya and Mara are also there
Mara because she and Damian were rising together in the league (they have a brother and sister relationship but they don't know it yet)
and Maya proclaimed herself Damian big sister since her father trained him

The Batpups as Cat-Types
Upon coming to live with Bruce, Dick was like a fairly standard cat. He could alternate between cuddly darling and vindictive gremlin in the blink of an eye. One minute he’s snuggled next to Bruce while he reads the paper, the next, he’s holding eye contact while he pushes an expensive vase off a nearby table. He’ll be happily playing with one of the hundreds of cat-appropriate toys Bruce got him, then Bruce turns his back for five seconds and he’s somehow gotten himself perched atop the molding above the door. On top of this, Bruce had never owned a cat before so he did stupid new cat-owner shit like letting Dick wander around the neighborhood, where he caused tens of thousands of dollars in property damage and nearly got himself killed at least four times a day.
Jason was a loyal and completely domesticated house-cat who got tossed into the streets after his owner died. He adapted well for survival, but once he was brought indoors again, he was more than happy to curl up in a sunny spot and just vibe. He’d endured some trauma, so sudden loud noises or unknown individuals trying to pet him resulted in him hissing and darting under the nearest table or hiding behind the books on the shelves. Around those he trusted, however, he was a sweet, chill cat. Unfortunately, Bruce assumed all cats were gremlins like Dick, and that Jason would have the potential to be even worse due to being on the streets, and so responded as though Jason were a gremlin-cat whenever he did something unexpected. This led to a lot of misunderstandings and resentment.
Everyone assumed Tim was well domesticated due to living in a nice house before coming to them. In reality, he’d been taken away from his mother too soon and left alone in a huge house that he eventually discovered how to come and go from on his own. This meant that he was, in fact, a feral kitten who had just learned not to do certain things in front of people, lest they get angry at him. He did manage to meow and swat at Bruce until the man slept, ate, and bathed like a normal person, so Alfred and Dick didn’t feel too bad about their mistake in insisting Bruce bring the tiny feral beast into the house. He also made friends with a bunch of other feral kittens, so most of his feral shenanigans occurred with them, away from anything resembling responsible supervision.
Cassandra was a stray cat that followed Bruce home one day and then claimed the whole family as hers. She was good with them, but anyone else who tried to touch her (or the boys when it looked like they didn’t want it) pulled away a bleeding limb. Also, the family quickly learned that letting her food bowl go empty would result in her stealing any food left out, even a whole chicken or hamburger. She still caused less damage than Dick, so Bruce didn’t even bat an eye at half the shit she did. He did have to instill some long-forgotten survival instincts in her, though.
Damian was like that kitten in the Aristocats who paints but also hisses and spits and thinks himself a tough alley cat when he’s actually a pampered kitten. No one ever bothers to correct him and just generally ignores his more violent ways…or worse, thinks they’re cute. Tim gets sick of the little shit drawing his blood eventually and starts hissing back and swatting him whenever he tries it. Eventually, he calms down enough to do more painting and hissing than clawing, at least with the family. They call it a win and they all learn to live together.

What kills me about Bruce is that he never really tries to make up with his children after abusing them ( no i will not debate that he is an abusive parent) or if they argue. He just lets it consume him and throws himself into his work without bothering to try and understand their point of view or even just talk to them and communicate at all at the core thats why his relationship with them is sooo fraught .
He has a severe lack of emotional competency and he is a WRECK when it comes communication Its like his .. worst nemesis All of his relationships are unnecessarily over complicated because he is such a nightmare to try and have a conversation with after . He cannot communicate effectively at ALL .
His priority towards The Mission above all means he only really clarifies his emotions when CRUCIAL. Which he has interesting opinions on what classifies as “crucial ” which isn’t usually the times when he needs to talk to people because of his aforementioned lack of emotional competency so he never understands he actually needs to like Fucking talk .
Like when he argues with his children . The thing is he never tries to see their emotions as well as his own . He never tries to dig deeper he takes statements at face value never back up what he says UNLESS it’s about crime fighting he never apologises really or tries very hard to fix it .
Bruce suffers a clinical lack of emotional understanding so it ends up with him never trying to see how people feel or understand why they acted like that like if it is outside of crime fighting because he is so obnoxiously bad at picking up or acknowledging problems. ( probably because how he solves all his emotional problems are by .. not he just ignores it and eventually has to give in because someone Babs , Dick , Tim , ALFRED tell him that he can’t do that shit forever)
This isn’t to say that Bruce is a bad person he saves hundreds all the time he is an exceptionally good person sacrificing his entire life ( and um those of people who care about him) and all he has ever had even the love of others he pushes away in pursuit of the mission. But at his core he is a bad father or just a bad person to care about. Because he doesn’t care about himself only the again THE DAMN MISSION.
Literally everything comes second place to the dedication of that crusade . A good fantastic person at his heart a failure at being a person in any and all interpersonal relationships 😭.
But it’s frustrating because he could so easily become a better person but because of the the cyclic nature of comics and the whole “he must be grim all the time ” even though YOU KNOW he could co exist as a hardened dark urban warrior AND a good father and other shit but alasss i feel like the one plot i have always wanted more than any other batman comic is him moving on from the unholy obsession with the mission help him to be a balanced person and live with emotional turmoil in an actually healthy way . Pftt like that’ll happen
Ah well nice to dream

Epilogue
So. This happened.
The day I feared and longed for has come.
I posted the last chapter of "Some of Them (want you)"
Feel free to comment, ask, or make any "based on" fanwork (just send me a link, and link back to my fic.)
Thank you to all those who've been there through the journey, or just stopped by. For everyone who left a comment.
Special thanks to @byrambles for the original fanfic that inspired me. You are a great writer, friend, and I'm always exited to see a note about any of your new works :)
In case you haven't seen my pinned post, This Whumptober I'm opening my Ask box for requests and prompts! What do that mean? Well, have you ever wanted to read more about something? This might be your lucky day.
Here's part of the endnotes:
My main thoughts, as I started writing this fic, were "I need to talk about Dami's suicide". I refused to let it be, or mistaken as actual death. It's been a a draft in my docs since August 2023, as I wrote "Sweet Dreams". Eventually, the things I wrote - the things I NEEDED to (hear) tell - are in chapter 14. (you aren't a failure. You succeeded to survive.
It's not a bad thing.) ~ I didn't think I'll get so deep into trauma and suicidality in this fic. Especially not child suicidality.
In fact, I rewrote chapter 15 several times, to keep out the harder topics. But then I realised that, actually- (No one ever talks about it. ) We should talk about it. (Because it's there, and it's hard, and it's consuming). And so the whole situation with young!Damian. As I realised that, despite all differences, Dami and Damian do share some experience and major characteristics: their sense of honour, responsibility, violent upbringing. They both care deeply, but only those they consider "mine". They are very different, yes, but they both lacked stability and had lost their main caretaker more then once. They both had to grow up too fast. Taking more then they can handle.) They both experienced things no child should. (And I know it. I know how it feels. Sure, "they had worse". But suffering is subjective. Suffering doesn't care about others. You can't banish pain by telling someone "others have it worse! How dare you complain?"). And I thought - Dami had first tried to kill himself when he was 10, because he felt like there's no hope. That this was the only escape. Damian is 10/11. And he feels like a burden. (Suicide is one of the 3 leading causes of death in ages 7-24). Sure, it's different. But being a child is HARD. Adults usually don't think about it. When I was a teen, so many told me "this is the best time of my life" (If this is the best," I thought, "I don't want to see the rest of it". They lied, dear reader. My 20s are better, and so will be my 30s and 40s. I have silver hairs growing, and they reflect the lights when I look in the mirror. I have a crack by my lip and the start of crow legs by my eyes, that reminds me that I do laugh. I do smile. That things DO get better.)   The world is hard and chaotic, and trying to make sense out of it is demanding, frustrating, consuming job. We do it, slowly. It just takes time. ~ Dami had Alfred. Damian.... Doesn't even have Richard now. (And feeling lonely or isolated is a risk factor. Major life changes is a risk factor. Death of a loved one is a risk factor. Feeling like a burden is a risk factor. Damian had been screaming for help for a long time, in the only way he knows. He deserves to be heard.) ~ On a personal note: This fic (and series) had been a big part of my life in the last year. This brought me some stability and escapism in the hard times we've gone through (that are still happening). The writing process had been complicated and funny, hard and delightful, torture and pleasure. Thank you, reader, for taking the time to read it. Thank you for those who stayed here, who waited every week for a chapter (and waited patiently during The Big Crisis). Thank you for those who just found it, and might have read it in a single day. (Now go get some water!) Thank you, reader, for being here. I hope you enjoyed. (And good night, Dreamers. Good night.)
