Kingdom Hearts - Halloween Town

#kingdom hearts #kh1 #halloween town #scenery #my gif #not sure if i ever really registered that the sky is red when you're in the town #as well as all of the background noises that constantly play. from snarling dogs to weird scurrying and strange laughter #i had to talk myself out of the idea of doing a quick replay of this game so that i could include oogie boogie's manor #because it's such an intricately designed location. they really went all out on it but it disappears after you defeat him #i felt so unsatisfied leaving it out of this set #so i elected to just use shots from some cutscenes and painted out any characters in the way #saved me so much time and it worked out quite well #i have a couple of other gifs from this world that i'll save for halloween since that's coming up next month :]

#I am still deeply stuck in the huh? hwah? stage but I think I at least found a presentation I'm happy with #so ig that's the last gog au post from this blog (I still will reblog upcomming art and tagg them adequately so there is no real loss lmao)#now here comes the usual “man idk” speech #species are still more or less randomly picked. I did settle on only using the owls mentioned in the books (lest I study all 268 owls)#I really like making Mafuyu a sooty owl (cuz the design slaps(objective truth)) Ena as a burrowing owl would be fun #and Mizuki is a short eared owl. Mainly becausen those are the “the eyliner owls” for me...also I like short eared owls #Kanade is a borreal owl because they are noted to have a beautiful song (unless the ger edition made that up (idk this is the idk speech))#for Kanade I thought it would be nice to make her a normal colored owl that turned white due to stress. I originally wasn't planning on posting this, but my current drawing project takes way too long, so here it is!

Sans, or Pit as I named him, is from an AU I am currently brainstorming about. I was about to name it Masktale but it's already taken, I guess?

Anyway, it's inspired by a part of the plot from the Anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the story of Fontaine from the game Genshin Impact. So, yeah, the world/underground is not what it seems in this one. Nothing is, actually.

For a better understanding, Pit in this drawing is the same person... but also not. No, no one's soul got glitter glued together, there is also no Chara in control, it's just Pit/Sans... whatever remained of him at least.

When the child steps into his world everything seems to be normal, like the brighter side of this drawing, but there will always be a second side. Only one can be the truth. Right?

Kinda hard to explain this AU without spoiling the whole plot right at the start. It's in the very early stage of development anyway.

So, yeah, that's it for now.
